Hu·bris ˈ(h)yo͞obrəs. Noun: Excessive pride...

..too much SELF-confidence, puffed up, being overly SELF-assured. Not good for anyone. In a good sense I am proud of my wife Liney and son Christian-Andraes..but I really don't want the other type of pride.

Today, I pray that you will be bless-able and greatly blessed as you opt to ditch pride and honestly continue on in the word if God, believer.

A former DTS Seminary Prof and elder of mine named Howard Hendricks from a Christian church my wife and I went to some 15 minutes north of us here in Dallas.... used to carry around a leather notebook. And why’d he do that? Not totally sure. He probably had multiple purposes and things to remind himself about in it. The real deal, he lived what he taught. A very smart, spiritually sound and successful author! Many really miss him.

One thing. In it he had jotted down at one point over 100 student’s names who had sadly failed in the ministry due to sexual sins.

When asked, what was the one thing that Hendricks noticed that they all had in common?  He said it was pride.

God sees this in many. We can’t always see it, but we can judge ourselves early. Before it’s too late.  We can humble ourselves and believe any day of the week really
