It’s Ok 2 PrA and ObeY 2day.

We all pray.. some. Many feel.. even know that they should some more. People pray when they see all the statues and our history falling or being erased. People wisely pray when they keep witnessing BLM, DNC, Antifa violence in the streets and how lame mayors and Governors help the criminals. People pray to stay sober, to stay off porn that mess up their brain’s dopamine system, to centered, focused, or solvent. (Blog)

People pray when the lump is deemed malignant. When the money runs out before the month does. Who likes living in the red, or in a blue state? People pray when their marriage is falling apart. We pray..sometimes earnestly. But wouldn’t we personally like to pray some more and cultivate the simple friendship a.k.a. partnership with God through Christ who is Lord of all? Wouldn’t we like to pray better over current issues.. or stronger and live or suffer stronger? You know with more fire, biblical faith, and fervency? 

Yet many have kids to feed, bills to pay, and deadlines to meet. The calendar and daily distractions pounces on our good intentions like a hungry tiger on an elderly rabbit. And what about our checkered history with prayer? On again, off again, neglecting to call out upon his wonderful name. Jesus. Uncertain words to use in prayer--how can I walk in wisdom with candor. So many unmet expectations. God help me pray and obey.    

Those of the early church didn't quit early when the Spirit was directing them to get on their knees! 

What does the Bible say? It says, "These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren."

"We sometimes fear to bring our troubles to God, because they must seem small to Him who sitteth on the circle of the earth. But if they are large enough to vex and endanger our welfare, they are large enough to touch His heart of love." ~ R.A. Torey

What else can I say? I declare we war not against flesh and blood around us today, but we fight the good fight of faith in the Spirit for God’s glory. Yet so many in this world are fighting religiously, and physically aka fighting in the flesh. What can we learn from forgiven sinners, other sinners, and those sinners good at posing.. just playing like they’re saints? 

I say pray specifically, ask.. pray fervently, earnestly and biblically.. trusting that He knows best. Pray from anywhere and in any kinda position standing, or on the ground face down.. where God might lead you to.. not making it all religiously complicated in any sorta way.. cuz God ain’t that way. Never has been that way--not Him! 

I say, pray until you have His peace and joy and love inside ..that peace that passes all human understanding ..that peace from enjoying a right relationship with Jesus Christ. I say pray until you see God move in and through your life to bless others.. and then pray some more to be edified and to maintain this most valuable of all friendships.. until Jesus is Lord of every area of your life. 

The Lord is near to all them that call on him, to all that call on him in truth. Psalms 145:18 

The Lord is far from the wicked: but he hears the prayer of the righteous. Proverbs 15:29

"All that God is, and all that God has, is at the disposal of prayer. Prayer can do anything that God can do, and as God can do everything, prayer is omnipotent." ~ R.A. Torey 

I say pray voicing Bible verses (that you can learn if you like), reminding God of what He has promised, what he has said -- the promises He’s given to you, to us believers. Me thinks this is great with thanksgiving and praise mixed in.. perhaps more than any other way of prayin'.

Just gettin’ real with Him -- that's the main thing, and keepin' the main thing as the main thing. Yes, thank, praise and worship Him (that’s the highest form of prayer--your first ministry calling). Friend, prayin' in the Spirit. just do this...

1. Rejoice

2. Repent

3. Request

Request, ask, seek, wait on and inquire of the Lord – Give me eyes to see as you are. Tune my heart to sing your praise. Help me see your glory in the world you’ve created, in the people around me, and in the face of Christ.

Likewise the Spirit also helps our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Romans 8:26 

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. Philippians 4:6 

Remind yourself of the 3 R’s of prayer, Christian. Remember the three R's of gettin’ right. Yes, of real revival:

2. Repent

3. Repeat
