Don't know about you, but I want to show love to lost and saved people. And I want to hate the evil that can hurt them.. .MORE. Not hate any people. I don't mean that. How about you? Do you feel the same.
If I don't love righteousness, and people to the same degree as God does, then guess what.. there's room for growth in me. If I don't hate sin and evil to the same degree as God does, then guess what.. there's room for growth in me.
If you notice in the schoolyard that your child is playing right next to a den of diamond back rattler, and a few are striking out.. you don’t simply say, Well, we just need to show love towards all creatures and allow them all to learn to get along, and get over their differences to become good playground friends. Nope! You act to protect people because real “Love..always protects.”
Let those who love the Lord hate evil, for he guards the lives of his faithful ones and delivers them from the hand of the wicked. Psalm 97:10
"Christians are always intolerant of evil. Dear #Christians, it's time to grow a backbone. Stop being troubled every time the pagans and atheists accuse you of being 'intolerant.' It's just a political tactic. We don't take moral advice from pagans and atheists. We've got a whole generation of Christian pastors and leaders who think their role is to compromise with atheists and pagans and church burners. But that's not 'compassion (at all!!!). That's weakness. You don't compromise with them. We win them to (saving faith in) Christ." ~ Emerald Robinson
Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. Romans 12:21
To fear the Lord is to hate evil; I hate pride and arrogance, evil behavior and perverse speech. Proverbs 8:13
Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Romans 12:9
But test them all; hold on to what is good, reject every kind of evil. 1 Thessalonians 5:21-22
Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. Proverbs 3:7
You and your loved ones need protection from those who are evil today. Perhaps more so today than yesterday. The darkness in the world seems to be growing darker and darker these days. Yep, during these last days.
In our times.. what are some practical steps that we can do to help all those around us?
Know the Lord well, and then tactfully help to make him well known. Share the Gospel and lead people to Jesus. He was and is 100% God and 100% human, yes in a physical human body.
- Open your church. Every human needs Jesus Christ and wholesome uplifting Bible teaching and fellowship with Him and growing believers. Why? Well, cuz Jesus is thee only Way into your heavenly home. Think about it, otherwise they don't have much of a bright future really. Believer, I challenge you to read, study and meditate upon the word of God daily. And pray and worship God daily. And seek out fellowship with other believers, even in a healthy Bible teaching church and go share your faith too.
- Open your business. You and your friends need to make it, not fail or go hungry and homeless in a tent. We each need to survive in order to function as a positive influencers in this world. Salt and light.
- Open your school. Kids need decent friends close, and to learn what is really so. Yes, to learn how to get along with all kinds of other people older and younger. For sure, why let all the creepy politicians with their own weird money-hungry-agenda continue to be cruel towards those isolated children?
"The United States, with its conglomerate political, media and economic power, stands at the head of the most subtly brutal campaign to de-Christianize Western culture in the last one hundred years." —Gerhard Müller
Practical steps? Do this.. repent of your evil heart and sin. Choose to believe in Jesus who has no evil in him. Zero.
Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.Psalm 34:14
We know that everyone who has been born of God does not keep on sinning, but he who was born of God protects him, and the evil one does not touch him.
