Some rich folk were livin' large on the Titanic "that can't be sunk". It went down but not everybody there went down with it. Some souls went up though their bodies went down.

Remember the story? Many types and classes of people were aboard the Titanic - many very wealthy people, and famous people, and highly educated people, and illiterate people, and the poor folks were down in the steerage.

The Titanic sank approximately 2 hours and 40 minutes after hitting that iceberg out on her maiden voyage. The collision occurred at 11:40 PM on April 14, 1912, and the ship sank at 2:20 AM on April 15.

Hours later, when they posted the list in the Cunard office in New York, there were only two categories: LOST and SAVED.

Can that big boat be used as Kurt's metaphor regarding spiritual standing? Sure.

With all types? Yes. That is how God sees humanity.

Some people are now headed towards heaven cuz they've made their choice to repent and believe in Christ, God the Father's only saving option for us. Please (biblically) make your reservations in advance through real repentance and saving faith in Christ. Ask for this gift of repentance and forgiveness from God!

Do you now have eternal life (are you currently regenerated inside, "saved" as the Bible says) or do you have eternal death ahead. Are you spiritually lost. Are you simply not sure cuz you've been working really hard trying to earn a living and earn eternal life? Only men and women, boys and girls in Christ today.. are the ones safe against a horrific experience in that burning lake of fire of the Revelation book).

Wait Kurt! Is it right to use The Titanic story for this, I mean legitimately as a Metaphor for preaching? Really? Sure it can be used. So many perished and went to heaven or to that place of torment.

Why not.. short of exaggeration, twisting, and false facts use that or any story where real people perished? Everyone, all people here physically have a shelf-life so to speak. We believers must with holy passion, make use of our words, with real facts from history, with the time we have left to be involved with Jesus, seeing closure on His Great Commission -- that's our mission!

The sinking of the Titanic serves as a dramatic historical example of a catastrophic event where all social strata were present suffering. The initial diversity of the passengers, from wealthy elite to poorer immigrants (many with completely different political, philosophical and spiritual outlooks), highlights the point that human worth is not determined by their money and worldly status. You all are extremely valuable to God. People (like you and me. Real folk such as Adam and Eve) are absolutely the Apex of all God's creations. People are.

What's the Lord's Perspective Like?

In God's eyes, each one of us that are part of humanity, is ultimately divided into two categories: those who are "lost" (not spiritually regenerated inside, a.k.a. unsaved) and those who are "saved" (forgiven, regenerated). This implies a simple binary choice: Are you in or out of Christ today?

Regarding your own spiritual salvation. You don't have to guess about it any longer.  You can know for sure. The Bible says:

12 "Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.
13 I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life.
14 And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us.
15 And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him." 1 John 5:12. esv

That's a verse from God is about eternal life and salvation, and it reinforces my sound theological point: God cares enough to act in rescuing when he sees any of us perishing. He sent Jesus and Jesus willingly went to the cross for you and me. Churches still send missionaries to reach the Lost. Many are real missionaries who are born again. Jesus came out of the tomb alive again ..for you, for me and over 500 people saw him at one occasion.

This passage suggests that eternal life is a completely free gift from God who is real and not some cold-hearted religious person. His salvation is not earned through doing good works or merit..not by anyone no matter where you live or came from. We are not here to divide God's people. It's been said,

"What's the best way to control people?

Merely divide them into different ideological groups and they'll soon start fighting against each other. We've had several political leaders try to divide us in my Land.

This way they will forget who their true enemy is (Satan and his buds -- fallen the angels), people forget thinking about their real Savior."

While people may actually be divided by worldly or political standards, God's ultimate concern is with each one and their spiritual state -- whether they have chosen to embrace his only Son, Jesus Christ, with his great salvation. Just sayin'.

We aren't out to be troublemakers that are divisive, but presenting the gospel to see people saved actually divides the sheep from the goats so to speak.

Jesus said, "Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword. 35 For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. 36 And a person's enemies will be those of his own household." Matthew 10:34-36 esv

Whaaat!? Jesus Christ came like a missionary NOT to bring peace to the earth, but a sword, a weapon which divides and severs.

Sure, as a result of His first visit to this earth, some children would be set against their parents and a man’s enemies might be those within his own household.

This is because many who choose to follow Christ get hated. It's totally cuz of Him living on the inside of a believer, so don't take it personally. The Christians are hated by their family members even! Sad!

This is indeed part of the cost of biblical discipleship, for love of family should not be greater than love for the Lord.

A true disciple must take up his cross and follow Jesus anyway (see Matthew 16:24). He must be willing to face not only family hatred but also physical death, like a criminal carrying his cross to his own execution.

True followers of Christ must be willing to give up, even to the point of “hating” all that is in our lives, even our own families, if we are to be worthy of Him (Matthew 10:37–39). (God, I don't really want to hate any human, we need to show them God's love).
