There is Refreshing Power in the Living Word of God!

There's power in the Word, so we preach the Word in season and out, and Lord help us be careful to always agree with the Bible.

We point people to Christ with our Lives, our conversation or attitudes, with the Scriptures with our personal testimony. Yes, there's power in the name of Jesus who is the living Word. Remember how he never messed it up with his life, attitude or message. He never once missed it with any prophecy.

"The devil has his ministers. There are some, who by the subtlety of their wit, have learned the art of mixing error with truth, and to give poison in a golden cup. TAKE HEED who you hear and how you hear. BE LIKE THE NOBLE BEREANS, who searched the Scriptures daily, to see whether the things that they taught were true or not. " (Acts 17:11). ~ Thomas Watson

Think about the Word more -- study to show yourself approved. Just as physical hunger weakens the body, spiritual hunger can leave the soul weary. Yet, unlike physical hunger, spiritual hunger is often overlooked by many people.

Jesus is the living Word of God and He agrees with the written word of God (the Bible). The verses that Jesus quoted he studied and memorized. He was a man of prayer as well. He loved communing with his Father and then what happened in between his own places of prayer? Power was displayed to change lives -- yes, it was for the people's benefit! Father was glorified. The Father, Son and Holy Spirit were blessed to see people getting blessed. Everywhere he went HE WENT PRAYERFULLY.

It's about your own study time I say pray over it, and then do that some more. From the Bible you can find spiritual food that will nourish and refresh your weary soul.

But what's more important the air time or the Bible study time? Which wing of a plane is more important for the people's benefit?

"A MAN MAY STUDY BECAUSE HIS BRAIN IS HUNGRY FOR KNOWLEDGE, EVEN BIBLE KNOWLEDGE. BUT HE PRAYS BECAUSE HIS SOUL IS HUNGRY FOR GOD." ~ LEONARD RAVENHILL

There's power in the name of Jesus -- He is the Word! Pray, obey, and open your mouth! Feed em, love them, don't fleece and manipulate em like the false prophets and false teachers like to do!

Let the Lion loose! The Word of God has the power to revitalize the heart and mind. It can pull us out of discouragement and doubt, replacing fear with hope and uncertainty with truth. No matter how long we have been Christians, we all need constant reminders of spiritual truths from the Bible. We need to be reminded to stay focused on Christ.

The Bible is not just a book of stories and the living word is not passive. He is active.

The word can make the spiritually dead come alive! You can have a part in that. Ephesians 2:1 states that before we knew Christ, we were dead in transgressions and sins. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, the Word of God can awaken us into a new reality that's long been a reality for many prayerful saints, one that's centered on the Savior who redeemed us. Am so grateful for the Kingdom of God to which we now belong because of Christ's finished work on the cross.

The Living Word of God corrects us when we lose sight of spiritual truths and then revives us. Psalm 19:7 says, "The instructions of the LORD are perfect, reviving the soul."

The two discouraged disciples out on the Emmaus Road had lost all hope after Jesus was crucified. Mr. Hopes we're still back in that dank grave! However, when Jesus walked along with them and He explained the Scriptures to them, then their hearts burned within them. Bad holy heartburn! God's Word revived them, bringing them back to life they've been called to.

If you desire a life filled with focus, purpose, and direction, start reading the Bible Good like you've never read it before! Contemplate it, muse long over, ponder it, and let it sink in. The Word of God is the refreshing power that can nourish your soul and bring people.. zoe life!

Revival and Awakening both start with repentance!

Peter preached the word commanding people to, "Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out, 20 that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that he may send the Christ appointed for you, Jesus, 21 whom heaven must receive until the time for restoring all the things about which God spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets long ago." Acts 3:19-21 esv

This passage offers a profound insight into the refreshing power of the Gospel message. Peter speaks of "times of refreshing" that come from the presence of the Lord when people repent and turn to God. This passage highlights the transformative nature of repentance and faith in Christ.

Repentance and Faith in Christ: The key to experiencing these "times of refreshing" lies in repenting of our sins and turning back to God. This involves placing our faith in Jesus Christ and establishing a relationship with Him. The Holy Spirit kept on and keeps on inviting weary souls to find rest and renewal in Christ (the living word).

The living word of God, the Son of God said, "Come to Me, all who are weary and heavily burdened [by religious rituals that provide no peace], and I will give you rest [refreshing your souls with salvation]. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me [following Me as My disciple], for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest (renewal, blessed quiet) for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy [to bear] and My burden is light." Matthew 11:28-30 amp

When I study, when I prep I think: CIA and pray. What does CIA stand for?

- Context (is key)

- Interpretation

- Application (wisely putting shoelather to it, where the rubber meets the road).

Ask God - I ask: So what do you God want them to know from Your word?...and or to do from Your word? When I study I pray and ask myself:

• A - is there an Attitude I need to adjust?

• P - Is there a Promise I need to claim?

• P - Is there a Priority I need to change?

• L - Is there a Lesson I need to learn?

•  I - Is there an Issue I need to resolve?

• C - Is there a Command I need to obey?

• A - Is there an Activity I need to avoid?

• T - Is there a Truth I need to believe?

•  I - Is there an Idol I need to tear down?

• O - Is there an Offense I need to forgive?

• N - Is there a New Direction I need to take?

• S - Is there a Sin to Confess?
