"Prayer is our way of entering into the happiness of God Himself." ~ Tim Keller
Blessed means happy-uber-happy and that's how it goes for God's children in Christ. They live in God's Word. They experience real J O Y in worship and witnessing. Yeah, that's how it is for any turning and trusting.. those enterin' and livin' in His presence!
We wanna hear.. Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the J O Y of your Master. 25/21mat
..He has become my salvation. With J O Y you will draw water from the wells of salvation. 12/1-6isa. always see the context
ReJ O Yce in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in PRAYer. 12/12rom
Always in every PRAYER of mine for you all making my PRAYER with J O Y.. 1/4phil
Splendor and majesty are before Him; strength and J O Y are in His place. 16:27one.chro
Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the
Lord his God. 146/5ps
For the people who live 100 percent just to enter the happiness-zone
that this world has to offer, that type of happiness seems to evade them. But
for those people who live all out for the Lord, guess what!.. J O Y just overtakes
them. That’s how it will be for every growing non-carnal-Christian.
You know that the world’s type of happiness is solely
dependent upon “happenings” you like (a.k.a., receiving a smartwatch gift, watching
the Cowboys actually win—miracle). And it’s indeed an elusive thing that type
of happiness—as we can see in almost every area of life.
You pursuit of happiness may involve food, money, position, wine,
MBCs (mind-bending chemicals), fame, another person, a location.. or a host of
other things, but, in the end, happiness continues to escape the grasp of those
who seek it all-out directly.
The one who puts God first will have happiness that lasts.
Don’t know about you, but my heart has been known to be like
an idol-factory. There are so many things my heart can wander after if I don’t
watch over it closely. The Bible says, “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for
out of it are the issues of life” or “..guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it” 4/23prov
The Lord tells us, “But seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness, and all
these things will be added to you. 34"So do not worry about tomorrow; for
tomorrow will care for itself.” 6/33mat
But why do it.. why seek seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness? Here’s why, His J O Y will be inside of you and want to overflow out of you to others.
The things people of our day tend to pursue first for the most
part.. they won’t really minister to the deepest core-needs in the human heart.
Sure, our
pursuits may provide happenings or moments of enjoyment, of distraction, or of pleasure-feelings. But the
cry of our heart of hearts will continue to go unheard—the deep cry inside for hope, for help, for fulfillment needs to be addressed by the God who made it. That is why the Bible (the psalmist in there) points us to a better way when he says, “Happy is he who has the God
of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the Lord his God” 146/5ps
If we are seeking the happiness and J O Y found in a relationship with meaningful fellowship with the Lord we won't be disappointed. It is
only when we entrust ourselves to Him and His tender care that we will be able to find the J O Y that we hunger for. That's why He gave us so many promises to claim. Our hope and help are found only in trusting in God's word. I dare ya to prayerfully meditate upon these followin' words.
I will reJ O Yce in the Lord; I will take J O Y in the God of my salvation. 3/17-19hab
But let all who take refuge in You reJ O Yce; let them ever sing for J O Y.. 5/11ps
He who goes out weeping, bearing the seed for sowing, shall come home with shouts of J O Y.. 126/6ps
Been feelin' down lately? Want to experience lasting J O Y ?
