"The lips of the righteous nourish many." ~ Proverbs 10:21
It’s the healthy, well-fed, intelligently cared for sheep ..rather than the sickly ones due to neglect, a toxic-intake, fleecing, and different types of exploiting.. that naturally reproduce to the glory of the Lord.
Opt to stop and hear from the Chief Shepherd on how He wants you to do it, but feed instead of fleece.. yes, nurture em with God’s Word.
It would be good if we all learned to be silent and still.
There is indeed “a time to be silent and a time to speak” (Eccl. 3:7).
You know how there’s a good kinda and silence and one that’s not good. Some people clam up too much.. to their own hurt. But the positive type is a silence for listening, thinking, and learning truth. It’s a humble kinda silence and it helps with the right kinda hearing, the right kinda understanding, and as an outgrowth the right kinda speaking.
“The purposes of a person’s heart are deep waters,” says the proverb,“but one who has insight draws them out” (Prov. 20:5). It takes a lot of focused listening–genuine concern–to get all the way to the bottom of the issue at times.
And while we listen to others, we should also be listening to the Lord who is their Solution.
