F4S: January 2019

I just like Him. Yup, gobs. How great Your love is! Who? Let me clearly say His Name -- the one that is way better than all other names.

So SO cool that we each can turn, trust, and first-hand know You on a personal intimate basis.

It’s like an adventure really. Where do You want me to go -- when can we together see You do great things here.

Let’s go together, help me not run out ahead, lag behind, stumble, fall or try to lead You. Fill to to full of Your Holy Spirit. Be Lord of my life today Jesus.

You Lord, are more than awesome -- help me never forget all the benefits or all you've done.
Thanks for the confidence, Lord, You are my glory.
When you all-out praise the Lord from the heart, it just seems like your JOY increases so much huh.. as does your awareness of God's holy Presence and love in your life!
Lord, I put my future and me in your hands. Do what you want. Glad that you protect and provide. You encircle me in front and behind and then place Your hand on my head. Serving you is wonderful -- it's cuz You are!

The place is quiet and nice, but I love you and praise you, Lord. Speak to me from your Word today -- wanna do Your will. Please guide and use me to spread Your Good News.. far and wide. So many are chained up so to speak -- they need hope.

Thanks for being close. Thanks for caring too. No wonder I'm singing.. of my Savior. You still do great things, so our eyes are fix.

God of all the heavens, holy God of our redemption.. the glory is Yours! All of it.

Spirit, breathe Your holy fire within. Once again do what You do. Refill, guide, and do Your thing. How great Your love is! For the sake of those in the world who you deeply love, light a fire in me.. yes, before the fires of wrath and judgement fall. Not sure how much time we have really. Light a fire in me -- passion for Jesus! Let it start again in us, right here.

How great Your love is! Then sings my soul!

Idea for us. Memorize some Bible verses -- prayerfully! Ask God questions.. ask Him to grant you illumination, insight, discernment, and spiritual wisdom to understand His message and how He wants you today to apply the Word. We can't do anything on our own of eternal value really, and we won't understand what His Word says unless the Holy Spirit allows us to, so we boldly ask God to give us understanding of what He tells us to know, experience and do.

Stay loyal in Christ. Daily it's a whole lot like in the book of Acts, born again Christians are being persecuted all over the world simply for following and worshiping Jesus Christ.
But let's focus on Jesus and worship Him all the more!
During crazy days like these ..where wild curve-balls and more are flyin' at ya fairly fast, asking is pretty easy to do. Ask for you, for others, for biblcial revival! Let's keep waiting on and inquiring of the Lord.
Lord, how do You want me to deal with this unique situation here where I live.. or where you are leading me to?
What specifically am I supposed to feel, say, and learn from all this, #Jesus?
"If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you." ~ James 1:5
Believer, did you know that...
Every single month:
255 Christians are killed..it's sad but true.
104 are abducted.
180 Christian women are raped, sexually harassed or forced into marriage.
66 churches are attacked.
160 Christians are detained without trial and imprisoned (von Opendoors).
215 million Christians experience high levels of persecution in the countries on the World Watch List. This represents 1 in 12 Christians worldwide.
North Korea is ranked #1 for the 17th consecutive year as the most dangerous country for Christians.
During the World Watch List 2018 reporting period: 3,066 Christians were killed; 1,252 were abducted; 1,020 were raped or sexually harassed; and 793 churches were attacked.
Islamic Oppression fuels Christian persecution in 8 of the top 10 countries.
WHAT'S TRENDING?: THE SPREAD OF RADICAL ISLAM IS, BUT GOD WANTS TO SAVE EACH OF THEM TOO. SOME WILL TURN AND TRUST IF WE BELIEVE AND OBEY.
Remember what the Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 12:26 said.. we are one body. If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it.

Recently heard a shocked DC leader say this, "It's dark. It's very very dark. Pray." ~ Mike P.

Will do. I will pray. This is a great guy.. taking a stand for the Lord and against the evil. I liked his third sentence. And u
ntil Your work on earth here is done. Do move in us. Help our nation -- send another awakening. Please use us Lord.. to tactfully get Your Message out.

Keep going after Him first. Listen, God sees all you are doing for the saints and others from the overflow He gives, and He will reward you.

The Bible says, "God is not unjust; He will not forget your work and the love you have shown Him as you have helped His people and continue to help them." Hebrews 6:10
So how are you doing? Been kinda concerned or worried.. fretting, challenged or troubled about anything that I can pray for you about?
Thanks for your patience with me. Seems like I need to keep relearning the basic stuff of a quiet walk at times ...a walk that overflows with JOY. I love the basics of this walk -- I love the Lord! He is so very patient with me.
Got my taxes payed this year -- was a bit concerned about that cuz they've 'bout doubled. Praise God. He still hears our prayers and meets needs.
Had a leak in my house this weekend near the fireplace (normal stuff happening really), but after doing a lot of outdoor construction work to replace the concrete siding and roofing it's all fixed (I enjoyed most of it). Yay! My wife Liney is happy -- happy wife, happy life! Took a lot of time too, more than I figured on.. and am now wearing four bandages on my hands (did hammer the fingers a couple times, cuz I haven't done this stuff in long awhile). Liney says, No you can't wear duck-tape as bandages. Watch me. Am. Like it too.
Was really blessed early today until now ..with incoming calls for me to help and serve, but I admit that the busyness of today and this last week has made for external distractions from my most important meeting today. I prayed earlier.. but not long before I got running through my day. No condemnation of course, but the “green pastures” and “still waters” of Psalm 23:2 are more than an idyllic country scene in my mind. They speak of our communion with God whereby He restores our souls and leads us in His paths (v.3). My praying on the run in the car is nice, but the house ain't my God and my quiet time alone with God is a must.
The blessings and busyness continue, but I must remember that there is a busyness that isn't good. Thinking busy Martha verses Mary blessed while sitting at Christ's feet. It just can't replace the greatest blessing of the Father to us -- Jesus and time alone with Him. Please keep waiting on Him in the quiet, and remind your inquirers about the importance of quiet time in the Word.
Many followers of Jesus still find that a daily time of Bible reading, prayer, and upward praise (with the right address on it..) is so essential in their walk of faith.
Praise the Lord, O my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits -- Psalm 103:2
You, Lord, are my glory and the one who gives me confidence - Psalm 3:3.
When you all-out praise the Lord from the heart, it just seems like your JOY increases so much huh.. as does your awareness of God's holy Presence and love in your life!
You are my God. My future is in your hands -- Psalm 31:14-15
God, you encircle me in front and behind, and you place your hand above me. This knowledge seems too wonderful to me. -- Psalm 139:-5-6
Lord, you are a shield around me - Psalm 3:3
I must remind myself more often I guess. Hey Kurt. Some busy is okay, but too much busy is bad. Stop and worship more. Trust Him more. Praise the Lord daily -- this is fitting. Knowing the Lord comes before serving the Lord. So much will pull on you, but “quiet time” alone is a disconnection from all the external distractions. It's imperative ..in order to reconnect with my first-love who brings the balance, and wants me more than what I can do for Him in the neighborhood here.

Good leading; it's kind of like an art if ya will. It can come off like beautiful music in a way.

Leading, what a huge challenge for me! I don't always get this right -- who does? But you and I really wanna try to influence in the right direction and in the right way huh.
Wanna lead like Jesus leads?
Do you lust after a “position of power” or simply desire to help people grow and go in the best way for them? Man, why be a mere “boss,” rather than a servant type of leader? Let's all lead people to Jesus Christ.
Christ led people well... into righteous joyous helpful living. Jesus was and still is the greatest leader ever.. and what did He say?

“For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.” Mark 10:45

You've got to follow well, in order to lead well. We're all dealing with influence, with Direct (God) and flawed delegated authorities here, with directives, with wise submission / obedience too. It's so important. Too many rebel unwisely.
I say if you're going to be a rebel, then rebel against sin, against evil fleshly cravings, against Satan and other fallen angels, against this world's system that tells you to do wrong. Submit to authority with grace and insight.
What did Paul tell his buds? He said, "Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ." 1 Corinthians 11:1

Live it and lead. What a great example. Follow the Lord primarily and the good example of your spiritual pastor. If you don't have one, ask. Christ will lead you to a spiritual pastor!

Discipleship can be done well from those who are spiritually well. I've been blessed with some great pastor-leaders -- Ken, Greg, and Jack Graham as well. They always speak edifying things that minister to me. Do you need a sound local church and pastor to help you?
Ask the Leader, God for a leader's wisdom. There are times when a real leader must make a tough decision and go against his feelings to do what’s best for all the people -- we all need to live godly, principled, self-disciplined, and sometimes be a “little tough” in order to protect people, but we can still remain selfless in all that. Man, at my home I only had and have 10 basic rules to protect like no drug use here. Gotta enforce some guidelines for safety-sake. Got three wild boys.
Pray for those people. Build em up and praise where that’s helpful. Use the word to edify. Take your time in communicating and check to make sure that you won't be misinterpreted. Check to see how they are doing? Cultivate relationship, good hearing, really dialogue with the right attitude. Communicate two way -- strike the right tone.
Let's say you draw a line in the sand.. for your kids. Please keep your promises to them. So many parents fail to do that, they just draw another line further back and the kids know it means nothing.

Be careful with your promises to all, but do keep your word. Of course each circumstance and situation is different, but only draw good lines regarding rules, only make the right promises (ones you won’t regret later on) and let the consequences to teach not mismatch the offense if that li’l or bigger Rascal stomps down over the line. Have had to balance courtesy and control so to speak, love and discipline, the enforcement with the encouragement.
“Leadership is not about titles, positions or flowcharts. It is about one life influencing another.”  ― John Maxwell
Be faithful and approach everything in love with wisdom. When some you care about is stumbling or falling, ya gotta be there for them with the hope of restoration.  Write and speak with grace instead of putting out a lame rant.

Gotta thank my friend Ken for the encouragement and illustration here. Now the Bible says, “Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.” Matthew 20:28
“Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into His hands, and that He had come from God and was going to God, rose from supper and laid aside His garments, took a towel and girded Himself.

After that, He poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples’ feet, and to wipe them with the towel with which He was girded. Then He came to Simon Peter. And Peter said to Him, “Lord, are You washing my feet?” Jesus answered and said to him, “What I am doing you do not understand now, but you will know after this.” Peter said to Him, “You shall never wash my feet!” Jesus answered him, “If I do not wash you, you have no part with Me.” Simon Peter said to Him, “Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head!” ~ Jesus Jn. 13:3-17
Are you in Christ today and forgiven? You can be. Do you lead in a home with a family, or in a small or large business? Do you lead a prayer or Bible study group, or in a Bible teaching church? Perhaps you are a deacon or elder? Thank you! Ultimately those we care about are only accountable to Jesus Christ, the Head of the Church. Whose ministry is it? It is the Chief Shepherd’s and they are His too. It's our responsibility to help them see this when they can't see this and gently urge them on walking in the Word. But what more can I do? People typically don't think with their brains these days, they think with their emotions. You think with the mind God gave you...
Know and seek the Lord before all else -- be still before Him. Prioritize (Matthew 6:33-34). Wait on Him for His timing. Make a commitment to prayerfully grow in the word daily. Value the will of God. Value people more than the process and that more than busy events. Don't wait for a feeling of inspiration -- go to church and get in the Bible. Make the right choices regardless of the feelings. Be willing to sacrifice pleasure for opportunity. Dream big, pray big too, attempt some good things. Fish for people as Christ did. Love the Church -- all Christians. With Him leading you, lead others. Plan and pray your priorities according the Scriptures. Give up to go up. Deny your fleshly nature to follow the Lord.

Is that what it was built for? Wasn’t the One World Trade Center building built because of all the innocent Americans that needlessly died.. cuz of murderous thoughts of deception and those corresponding actions in New York? Was it built to help celebrate that for which should have never for even one second even been considered for passing! Such a horrendous Bill passed. Really, is this what we as a nation have become?

One World Trade Center Lit Up In Pink After The Horrible Passage Of That New York Bill This Week.. Legalizing Abortions All The Way Up Until A Baby’s Birth

Something to rejoice and cheer over? Really? No! So authentically cruel. So much needless pain and blood loss.

“Disgraceful!  Should have lit it up red for the blood of innocent (American) babies killed by Planned Barren-hood and its founder Margaret Sanger, a rabid racist.  Never understood why anyone would want to honor her for targeting people of color for elimination.” ~ Gov. Mike Huckabee

Should be ashamed of yourselves instead. It's wrong, but sin is sadly "in." It's like insane. Really need to weep, and U-turn yourself with completely broken hearts back to God. Really need to see.. it for what it really is. Way serious! Murder.

Really need to turn from all that.. everywhere killers and those who support this ..need to weep and turn.. if this has been your heart as well. No condemnation--I sure ain't the Judge you'll face. Just admit it and quit it. Yes, turn and trust.. Christ. Perhaps you respond,"Oh come on, Kurt, it's 2019 -- let's get real nothing will happen to people who do that! Really, how could a God of love create a place called Hell?"

Hey, because He's a God of Love He created this place called Hell. There are serious wrongs done down here on earth that really need to be set right by a just Go. But He originally created this place for fallen angels and doesn't really in a sense send people there -- sinners basically send themselves there when they reject God's only Solution for their sinning. That's Jesus Christ. Heaven or Hell, it's your choice. Decide today. God has already done His best to help you. Think of Christ on the Cross, think of how He's alive today and praying for you. He is! Many people will soon sadly go to hell. Man, I want to be a detour sign in their road of pleasure there -- really I don't want em to go there! I was headed there trusting in dead religion, and I was really dead inside. No more and it's not my fault. Christ forgave me -- don't deserve that. You don't either.
It shocked me the cheering enough to turn back to an old dusty book by Jonathan Edwards. Perhaps, we’d all do well and be better off to go reread that old tome and the Bible. Edwards wrote...

SINNERS IN THE HANDS OF AN ANGRY GOD... about one real God who is angry at the sin. No, not at sinners (cuz of the Cross), but indeed at man’s sin.

"The greatest destroyer of peace is abortion because if a mother can kill her own child, what is left for me to kill you and you to kill e? There is nothing between." ~ Mother Teresa

Read it and think. So many people today are, “exposed to sudden unexpected destruction. Christians everywhere are called to live the life as witnesses for Christ, and give a bold witness for Him.. the only lasting Solution for this country -- Jesus Christ. I mean the Lord in the Bible. Yes that One.
Turn and trust.. Him. “As he that walks in slippery places is every moment liable to fall, he cannot foresee one moment whether he shall stand or fall the next; and when he does fall, he falls at once without warning" (but we will warn those we love..)

“Surely thou didst set them in slippery places; thou castedst them down into destruction: How are they brought into desolation as in a moment?” Psalm 73:18-19

I would now insist upon this thought. — “There is nothing that keeps wicked men at any one moment out of hell, but the mere pleasure of God.”

Let every one that is yet outside of a righteous (not self-righteous) relationship with Christ, that's basically hanging over the pit of hell, whether they be old men and women, or middle aged, or young people, or little children, now hearken to the loud calls of God’s word and providence. This is an acceptable year of the Lord, a day of such great favor or some who are willing, but it'll doubtless be a day of as remarkable vengeance to others who are too stubborn. Men’s hearts harden, and their guilt increases apace at such a day as this, if they neglect their souls; and never was there so great a danger of such persons being given up to hardness of heart, a seared conscience, and blindness of the mind.
Reminds me of John the baptizer’s words.. about the axe as an extraordinary manner laid at the root of dead trees, that every tree which brings not forth good fruit, may be hewn down and cast into the fire. Go read about that again. Read Jonathan's short book.
Are you a real Christian yet or just a church-goer on say.. holidays? Not right with God yet, but walking around with confidence and loud cheers a jubilant celebration. Like people walking around on top of a very thin icy lake laughing out loud.. well into a warm spring day when.. elsewhere vibrant new life is seen. Beware buckaroo you could slide in.. fall in for good. I don't want that!!!
But for too many it’ll be far worse than into falling through thin ice into cold water. It'll be opposite -- really hot. This last week marked 46 years since that landmark case Roe verses Wade that legalized abortion in the United States. So wish that never happened, but we each can change. Believers can still pray and act to turn this Nation back to God. Real "love.. always protects.” Yes, it still does. God tells us this.
Life and death before you. Choose life. Choose the Giver of Life. Historically, we've been long known as a nation of many heroes.. and think about it. Every hero we've ever had in the USA ..has done that.. protected people! Rescued people and protected people. Please, be a hero. Will you choose to do that? To show love towards all people as God has called Christians to do?

People need love and protection, no matter the gender. No matter the location, size or age!

Fact: This last week the lying media in the USA covered the pro-Islamic led Women’s March 15 to 20 times more than the March for Life. But God is interested in truth and giving people life. He is the way -- one way. What did God do creating people, creating even you? The Bible says.. “For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well. My frame was not hidden from You, when I was made in secret, and skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them. How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand..” Psalm 139:13-18
“Their foot shall slide in due time.” Deut. 32:35
Roe v. Wade. Please forgive us in this Land, Lord. Mercy, grace -- send another great awakening. Pour out Your Spirit. Turn us back to You.
