Consecrate yourselves, dedicate or rededicate yourself to the Lord.

How wonderful is that? Many people here could have cared less, but this month, President Trump rededicated America to the Lord in Washington, DC. Good idea -- the USA started as a mission outreach! Remember the two documents?
1. The Mayflower Compact (1620)
Written by the Pilgrims before establishing the Plymouth Colony, the document explicitly states that the voyage was undertaken for this religious purpose.
"...Having undertaken for the Glory of God, and Advancement of the Christian Faith... a Voyage to plant the first Colony in the northern Parts of Virginia.."Mayflower Compact
2. The First Charter of Virginia (1606)
King James I issued this charter for the Jamestown settlement, citing the desire to propagate Christianity among those in "miserable Ignorance of the true Knowledge and Worship of God".
"...propagating of Christian Religion to such People, as yet live in Darkness and miserable Ignorance of the true Knowledge and Worship of God..."First Charter of Virginia

Here's a verse that reminds me of rededication: 'Then Joshua told the people, 'Purify yourselves, for tomorrow the LORD will do great wonders among you.'” Joshua 3:5

As the huge group worshiped together and pointed to the Living Word of God (Jesus Christ) as the ultimate solution for the issues (big and small) that America Is facing.

The large "Rededicate 250" gathering on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. was held on May 17, 2026.

The Scriptures publicly referenced allow us to have reminders of the importance.

Pastor Jack Graham from our church in Plano here, read from Joshua 3:5

"Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the LORD will do wonders among you."

As a way a call to Americans to Christ, to personal and national repentance, to holiness, and preparation for acceptable worship of God's and work for His glory.

I loved hearing 2 Chronicles 7:14 as President Trump publicly read:

"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."

This passage became one of the central themes of the gathering.

Yep, Great Encouragement For Us!

It all sounded like this:

  • God has shown mercy to America throughout its history. Just ask him too again.
  • God is still sovereign over the nations.
  • America's future is not determined merely by politics at all, but by spiritual realities. Let's ask for a 5th Great Awakening that spawns genuine spiritual revival.
  • Christians should pray, worship, evangelize, and live faithfully with Jesus leading as Lord.
  • God can bring renewal when His people humble themselves before Him. Are you all in, or out there.. do you still love the corrupt world system?
  • America should remember God's kind providence and thank Him for His blessings. We can expect more as we seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness. See Matthew 6:33.
  • There is hope because Jesus Christ is still saving people here (legal and illegal) and transforming lives. We can still wisely show respect, Christ's love, and even witness to those who are getting escorted out. I'd say wisely because some of them were very dangerous. Everyone should live in the will of God legally.

One recurring theme reported from the stage was:

"America is not done with God, and God is not done with America."

Great Challenge For Us Too

The challenge given to this nation included:

1. Humble Yourself Before God

Rather than trusting government, wealth, power, or human wisdom, people were urged to seek God in repentance and prayer.

2. Repent, Return to Christ And Biblical Morality

Speakers warned about moral confusion, cultural decline, and the consequences of abandoning God's truth.

3. Pray for America, And it's Christian Churches

Many speakers emphasized intercession for leaders, families, churches, and the nation.

4. Put Christ Above Politics

Weird to be more concerned about who is in God's house and Family than who is in the White House. While political leaders participated, the stated purpose of the event was biblical prayer, worship, thanksgiving, and seeking God's blessing rather than merely advancing a political agenda. We want to seek his face more than his hand.

5. Be Salt And Light Dark World.

Christians were challenged to live out their faith publicly and courageously in their own communities.

Like Everyday Is, It Was a Good Day To Go to Christ, And To Point Americans To Jesus Christ

People from around the world watched and heard the message. Faith comes from hearing and hearing by the word of Christ!

It was a good day to return to the Bible and the God of the Bible. The strongest Christ-centered emphasis appears to have been:

  • Jesus is Lord over every nation-- America can continue to be a blessing to the Nations.
  • True hope is not found in Washington DC but in Christ.
  • America's greatest need is spiritual renewal in a rught relationship with Him, not merely in political reform.
  • Forgiveness comes through Christ, not national achievements.
  • Revival begins with individual repentance, faith and obedience to the word.
  • The Gospel remains the answer for a sinful nation because hearts must be changed before society can be changed. You must be born again because Jesus said "you must be born again." See John 3:3.

Charlie Kirk used to encourage college kids everywhere: go get married in the faith and have kids to pass on your Christian Bible beliefs and values to. Live as a sterling Christian witness, care and share!

You know that many other parents illegitimately here, living off our welfare system (with false religious beliefs) keep popping out lots of kids because they want to take over At any cost to dominate this Nation without ever assimilating.

The family's been under threat in the USA. Confused people keep trying to redefine it into something other than God created it to be. Did you know that 25% of adults at age 40 in America have never once been married. 60% have declined getting married.

A Pew Research Center analysis of U.S. Census data confirmed that 25% of 40-year-old Americans have never been married. However, instead of a 60% decline rate, a majority of Americans support the freedom to stay single:
  • The 25% Never-Married Statistic: The share of unmarried 40-year-olds has surged from just 6% in 1980. It's more common among men, Black Americans, and those without a four-year college degree.
  • Re-evaluating the 60% Figure: While the first-marriage rate has plummeted by roughly 60% over the last few decades, this doesn't mean 60% of people are actively rejecting marriage. Instead, about 80% of Americans now believe you can live a happy, fulfilling life without ever tying the knot. Many adults are prioritizing career growth, financial independence, and personal well-being over traditional milestones.
  • Midlife First Marriages: Interestingly, the story of single Americans at 40 isn't entirely a closed door. The "midlife first marriage rate" has actually increased for both men and women in recent decades, with about a quarter of never-married 40-year-olds eventually getting married by the time they turn 60.

I say that we pray and have a lot of spiritual kids so to speak. From an evangelical perspective, the message was essentially:

"America does not need merely a better economy, better laws, or better leaders. America needs God first and godly people who daily humble themselves before the Lord, repent of sin, trust in Jesus Christ, obey His Word, and seek His face more than His hand."

Does this emphasis align closely with Joshua 3:5. Sure. Before Israel crossed the Jordan and saw God's wonders, they were first called to consecrate themselves before the Lord. There's only one God (Father, Son and Holy Spirit).

Likewise, many speakers at the event urged American believers to consistently pursue personal holiness, repentance, prayer, and renewed devotion to Christ as the foundation for any genuine spiritual awakening. If we really want revival, we can do revival like things that were done in the past connected with revivals. We can pray earnestly, we can get back to God and the Bible. We can get back to get back to expectant Faith when we pray and obey! We can get back to healthy churches that boldly teach truth four decisions ..without watering down the message. With two hands, we can bring other people with us to the Lord and to his Family. With one hand reaching up to Jesus and with the other bringing a friend! Come to him or come back to him. KnowGod.org
