You weren't created to do boring. Weren't. Wasn't the original plan for you. Nope, never ever do it. There's a better option.

When I've talked to young people in Western and Eastern Europe, or deep in South America, or on secluded islands and here in the States.. they explain to me how they hate feeling bored more than anything else. There are indeed some things to hate. Who likes being bored? Never met anyone like that. Have you?

image

Boring ain’t how he rolls. Never has been. We don’t have to go there either. May I say it straight? People that often get bored are boring people. Live in the center of His will instead.

“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” — John 10:10

“Without question the Christian life is the greatest life there is. I’ve become more convinced of this as time passes by, especially when I look at some of my old high school friends and the course their lives have taken. More than ever, I’m so thankful that at the age of seventeen I chose to follow Jesus Christ. But the Christian life is more than just praying a prayer or walking down an aisle and getting so-called fire insurance. God intended the Christian life to be dynamic, to be exciting, and to have a radical effect on our outlook and the way that we live. That’s because Jesus Christ not only wants to be our Savior, but He also wants to be our Lord. He not only wants to be our friend, but He also wants to be our God. I’m afraid, however, that many of us live a substandard Christian experience. In many ways, that’s an oxymoron because if it’s Christian, it shouldn’t be substandard. Yet, in a sense, many Christians fail to receive all that God has for them. So why is it that in the first century, a handful of ordinary people turned their world, as they knew it, upside down? They managed to accomplish it without social media, the Internet, television, or radio. How were these Christians able to do it? I think we could sum up their success in one word: discipleship. They were true disciples of Jesus Christ, not fair-weather followers. They didn’t live an anemic, watered-down, ineffective version of the Christian life. Instead, they lived the Christian life as it was meant to be lived, as Christ Himself offered it, and as the early disciples apprehended it. And if we’re going to impact our culture today, then we, too, must be true disciples of Jesus Christ.“ ~ Greg Laurie

The Christian life is more than just praying a prayer or walking down an aisle and getting so-called fire insurance. God intended the Christian life to be dynamic, to be exciting, and to have a radical effect on our outlook and the way that we live and affect the world.

"Time is limited so listen well, serve and win them to Christ by God's love. Pray this one like I do - Help Lord, now is good. Being a witness and giving a clear witness of Jesus is a dynamic-adventure! To argue with a man who has renounced the use and authority of biblical reason, and whose philosophy consists in holding needy human-beings in contempt, is like administering medicine to the dead, or endeavoring to convert an atheist by pushy preachiness minus any grace of kindness or earnest prayer." ~ Kurt W.v.S.

We each should be a part of a praying Bible teaching local church, because it’s where we hear the Word of God that we can wisely apply. Right where the rubber meets the road. It’s where we worship God and receive untold spiritual benefits. And it’s where we encounter God. The church is an oasis of hope in a desert of hopelessness.

That fallen angel the Devil aka the defeated Mr. Lu-Cifer, is a cunning liar, destroyer and killer. He too has a plan for your life -- to end it slow fast.. as early as possible. He's a deceiving murderer -- a complete loser. He won’t come to us and say, “The Bible isn’t the Word of God.” Rather, he’ll say, “You know, it’s really not that bad for you to do that. Other people do. So why can’t you?” Don’t listen to him. He is the father of lies.” See John 8:44.

We don’t focus on this loser or live in fear. We are to focus on and wholeheartedly worship the mighty Lord ..who is far stronger that all fallen angels put together.

God has a plan for you, a life that He has intended to be very dynamic. We each can choose to walk with Him.. in His will. Come to him as you are. No charge. Now is good, right where you are. fish4souls.org

You, me, we can clearly see if we want. We can live hopeful, full of JOY, and even mourn at the same time. Have you suffered loss? You can still travel on purpose! I mean with the eternal purpose that God has for you. We can be winsome and win some. Not to you win, but to Jesus!

"There Are None So Blind As Those Who Will Not See." ~ John Heywood

Who Will Not See What Is Actually There To See.  Who Simply Opt Not To And Go With The Media Instead.  It's Easier Cuz Propaganda Worked And Works.

"Now hear this, O foolish people without heart, Who have eyes but do not see, Who have ears but do not hear." Jeremiah 5:21

You, my friend are living right before the days of a one world government as God has described. I’m not trying to scare anyone. Are you Harpazo (rapture) ready? You can be. Come to...come back to Christ today! Here and now, don’t put it off.

Believer, ”..since we belong to the day, let us be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and the helmet of our hope of salvation. For God has not appointed us to suffer wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with Him.” 1 Thessalonians 5:9

There are indeed better days ahead, believer. If you’re not one, please do fear.

image

Have you been robbed lately? Have you suffered loss? Mourn the loss in Christ. He’s still our living hope. See and focus on Him.

Hey, the messenger's duty so to speak.. ain't that all believe. It's simply to deliver the Message clearly, in their respective language. Never take it personal when loved ones don’t believe you. That’s between them and God (as well as what they will contend with in the future). I’ve tried to do my best to warn and deliver the Message.

Sure, be encouraged in the Lord. Recall Noah and Lot back in the day...out delivering the Message that warns.. that would save people. People have far more value than mere animals though God loves them as well.

I say travel on purpose -- the eternal purpose that God has for you. Be winsome..and win some. Not to you, but Jesus!

Opt to be a worldchanger at the end of the world so to speak. Remember Noah and Lot both lived at the end of the world....each at the end of their world.. Easy to see around you..you’re living in the Last Days. You know it, at least in your last days. Bible prophecy will be fulfilled - 100% as God said.

Think. Which bible character had hearers that refused to hear em and believe? I think of Jeremiah, Noah and Lot.

The last two each lived at the end of their world if ya will.. right before a cataclysm arrived on earth. Noah built a big boat and he won his family over to faith in the one living God, but Lot got a couple daughters out of town, away from the danger zone. You remember how his wife turned and looked in longing for that worldly place and got judged. Man, Lots' relatives didn't want to listen to him or follow. Did they feel they had too much to lose there? Was it due to his lame example that Lot set that he couldn't even get his own wife to safety?

"Then the Lord said to Noah, 'Come into the ark, you and all your household, because I have seen that you are righteous before Me in this generation.'" Gen. 7:1

Got questions? Does the Bible prophesy of a one-world government and a one-world currency in these end times?

Will bitcoin or some cryptocurrency be the one-world currency of the end times?

What is this last days Illuminati conspiracy? Is it even real?

What even is the New World Order?

Is this now popular Marxism, Socialism, and Communism even compatible with the Christian faith?

We love the Bible Trinity (God), but what is the unholy trinity in the end times? Mr. Lu-Cifer (Satan) is still such a liar and counterfeiter. He’s called the god of this age, the prince of the power of the air. Would evil rulers, liberal Big Tech heads, Social Media CEOs and the news media actually collude in lying to us over the airwaves?

What does it mean that Satan is prince of the power of the air (Ephesians 2:2)?

Got more questions about Angels and the fallen ones - Demons? Or about Satan? Does he actually exist? Is he a spirit?

Does Satan ever have the power to control the end times weather?

How is Satan god of this world (2 Corinthians 4:4)?

Does the Bible say the United Nations will have a role in the end times?

What is this last days New Age movement all about?

What are some reasons for the animosity between Christians and (the now popular in this world Islam) Muslims?

Is there supposed to be only one legitimate Church with Christ as head?

In these end times how should a Christian view politics?

How do I get to heaven - and what are the ideas from the different religions on this?

Got more questions about the End Times?

How should a last days Christian gun owner respond to a government gun-grab, buy back or confiscation?

So many rich open border globalists these days, even in DC. How should Christians view all these so called refugees?

Should a Christian be opposed to globalization?

Christians in the Church should indeed unify around Christ and Essentials, but in this world are we all to do that? Our DC leaders are now crying out for UNITY, UNITY, UNITY as they act divisively.

"Unity, unity! Biden can mouth the word ‘unity’ all he wants. It’s a lie. Democrats don’t want unity. They want to censor us, ban us, purge us, wipe away American history like it never happened, and then intimidate us into meekly going along with it all. They want us kneeling and saying ‘thank you’ while they destroy America and the American way of life. That’s what they mean by ‘unity.’ So, you can take your unity and shove..” ~ Wayne A. Root

Did Jesus come to bring peace on earth or come to bring division? Will the spiritual goats really be separated from spiritual sheep for eternity?

What does it mean that Jesus is the answer, or ultimate Solution for people?

What will it really be like in the end times, with the one-world religion?

What does it mean to gain the whole world but lose your soul? Should I trust in my big fat 401K or in my other financial investments..even though financial investments have totally failed in past history? #The40s

“Don’t store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and rust destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal. Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal. Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be." Matthew 6:19-21

“Then I will say to myself, ‘You have plenty of good things laid up for many years. Take it easy. Eat, drink, and be merry!’ But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your life will be required of you. Then who will own what you have accumulated?’ This is how it will be for anyone who stores up treasure for himself but is not rich toward God.”  Luke 12:19-21

We don’t really see the USA in Bible prophecy. Perhaps we’re the young lions of Tarshish. Is the United States really a Christian nation?

Is there such a thing as absolute truth or universal truth in these end times?

image

USA in Bible prophecy? Naww, I can’t find us, but God still has a good plan for us.. for your life too.

“The merchants of Tarshish and ‘the young lions (the colonies) thereof’ must include the Western nations of Europe and Americans, particularly the United States.” ~ Steuart McBirnie & David Allen Lewis  Fish4souls.orgFish4souls.org

We read in the Old Testament of “ships of Tarshish” which were large, oceangoing vessels (Ezk 27:25) that carried all sorts of precious cargo, especially metals such as silver and gold (I Kgs 10:22; 22:48; II Chr 9:21; Isa 60:9; Jer 10:9; Ezk 38:13) as well as iron, tin, and lead (Ezk 27:12).9. Some say “Tarshish is England, and some say it’s ancient Tartessus in the present-day nation of Spain.

GOT A GOOD IDEA.. LET'S CHALLENGE THE CHURCH OF TODAY TO BE THE WORLD CHANGERS OF TOMORROW!

Was Asked More Than Once This Week About My Testimony.. Kurt's Story.

Where do I start with that? My siblings (Kevin, Kyle, Kathy) and I grew up at Tom Sawyer Camp -- my Grandfather Bill started it and my dad with my mom (Kim and Betty) ran this Camp. It was and is great -- lots of adventures!

We went to church weekly like many of our friends did, but really, we were some lost souls. Religion says be moral, but it saves no one.

We grew up playing football for the Glendale Bears, and doing yearly desert camping trips, Sierra Mountain trips, and Colorado river trips down to Mexico.

Lots of camping out under the stars at night.

We grew up playing football, and volleyball on the beach in Southern California too. Yes, I was a full-tilt-lost-surfer but was rescued by Jesus Christ in the Spring of 77.

Have you ever tried dead religion? I was raised in a family that was a part of a traditional Roman church. I was an altar boy that tried hard to be good but often messed up. I mean with a bad attitude, bad words, lots of fights at school and at home. I was totally lost.

It wasn’t at all uplifting at church--I’m sure they all meant well but I had never heard the Gospel Message and was told that my pastor, Father Night (that was his real name) was not yet saved. My parents often fought on the way home each Sunday. I did that with my brothers too sometimes.

Their message at the church was basically: Do better, do good. Be better, be good (but they never gave us the power to pull it off). We all at my home were completely lost, not proud that I was, but was too proud just the same.. while trusting in some good works at the time. Some good works, not so many.

My grandfather was an alcoholic and both of my parents were alcoholics during my upbringing (according to them. It’s true). I sure love them — they’ve all given so much to me in spite of their drinking and they worked hard to provide. I felt far from God, afraid of eternity, and knew I wasn’t so good at all cuz I couldn’t keep God’s Top Ten. My brothers couldn’t either, and my older brother went MIA on chemicals for over 12 years. We didn’t know most of that time where he even was.

During my teen years I grew up on the beach in Southern California as a wild surfer. Yes, I lived wild, and I did wild sinful things -- my life got out of control.. ie, I remember having a car accident on the Coast Highway with a curb after drinking one night.

Man, I seemed to have inherited my parent’s same problem with the bottle. I should have gone to jail. Deserved to be there. And how did my car crash with a big curb happen? Easy. It happened by my own bad choices and by my impaired judgement. That’s how.

I was often invited to, and I often went to parties every week or weekend. The buzz or feeling people get there is so temporary.

For me, I felt miserable inside, guilty, empty, disoriented and hopeless with such a hard heart inside. The surfer partiers / drinkers I chose as my close friends sure didn’t help me at all, but my Dana Hills coach Randy Ziglar did help me. He is a 4A rated surfer who would take me surfing and he witnessed to me of Christ’s love and saving grace. I put deciding off, and opted not to come to Jesus for a while. I wanted to be careful with spiritual choices and the relationship with God that he described. What would my Catholic family think? It all seemed true, but so foreign to me. But how could it be real, or from God if it wasn’t blessed by a bonafide Catholic priest in his “holy” vestments?

One evening I was invited to a home Bible study up the coast in the Newport Beach area of California. The difference was they were born again spiritually (according to the Bible). This righteous “born again standing” was totally a new concept to me, but they explained it from the Bible.

When I said a sinner's prayer, I knew I really was a sinner and so meant it. I now love home Bible studies -- I felt such a love for the Lord that we read about in the Book and tried to join in with their worship.. so at the end of the study time when I was once again presented with the Gospel Message, I firmly decided this is the Savior and God I really needed inside. I turned and trusted Jesus Christ.

"And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. That You May Know I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life." 1 John 5:11-13 esv

The home was near Newport Beach where I received the Lord and they were some BOLD gray-headed Christian ladies. The fellowship was sweet, kind of hard to explain. I've never once regretted my decision there...to believe on Christ at that time. Best BEST decision I ever made.

Got ocean-water-baptized while a senior at Dana Hills High School in the Dana Point Harbor in Dana Point, California.  This was a season where I really grew fast spiritually (there is zero spiritual growth apart from the Word of God). It was while I was attending Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa with Pastor Chuck Smith, Jimmy Kempner, Randy Ziglar and Greg Laurie. Bible teachers who kept it simple for surf-rats like me.

The out-growth of receiving so much sound Bible teaching was that God gave me a real love for the lost and started using me to verbally witness to and to win my surfing and volleyball buddies to Christ. Not to self, but to Jesus who can forgive any of us. After high school I sold real estate in the beach communities for some years, but I would often find myself questioned by potential buyers and sellers. I would find myself addressing the greatest needs of my clientele – their spiritual needs  It's SoCal, lots of broken dreams, broken hearts and broken people were everywhere.

I enjoyed living for, surfing for, and talking about Jesus more than anything else (didn't care if anyone called me a Jesus freak, cuz he makes people out of freaks not visa versa) ..and I was eventually called to prepare for Gospel ministry in 1980.

I tried to attend Life Bible College first, but got redirected to a school in the East by the Life School secretaries. So I drove a long way over to Texas in my VW bus with the flowered curtains, coco mats, and Aloha surf racks.

Went through some culture shock, had do adjust a bit. This is where I studied the Word at a couple different Bible colleges in the Dallas area during the 80’s. And it was during this time that I met my beautiful wife, Liney Renea, who was also a Bible school student at my same school.

As singles, we separately were involved in different Dallas ministries and in summer missions trips.  After our marriage on August 14th in ’82 I continued to make some short term missions trips into Eastern and Western Europe.

This was such an exciting time before the Wall fell in Berlin.  I remember making friends and passing out German tracts I created in East Berlin.

I also served for the decade of the eighties as a Pastor over East Dallas home groups at an eleven-thousand-member non-denominational church in Rockwall, Texas.

In 1990 Stephan, Nathan, Christian (our boys), Liney and I (Kurt) were properly sent out to Germany from that local church. We then pastored and served as independent missionaries in Bavaria, and were involved in helping to establish five new local German churches (basing from a church that was started as a Christian book store in Augsburg near Munich). Lots of fun, lots of new friends, lots of JOY in Jesus!

Liney always taught the women excellently. As a missionary, I taught for four years in their Harvest Bible School in Schwaben. My wife and I were busy with that and overseeing ...what some of the Lutheran Pastors there called “a thriving youth ministry” and we traveled extensively doing itinerant evangelism throughout what is now called the European Union. There were many kids showing up pretty hungry for contemporary worship and Bible teaching. God knows for sure about any growth that was happening -- we give him the glory. I sure couldn't save anyone. I couldn't bring any growth for self or others at all apart from the Word.

When we (the von Schleichers) finally returned to America I worked full time with a Rockwall missions organization called Global Advance. And from there I was privileged to traveled into South American countries to hold some pastor-training conferences.

I also became an assistant pastor at another ten-thousand-plus-member Church in Carrollton Texas where we weekly ministered and enjoyed leading the youth out on some mission trips. It's been quite an adventure.

In our travels, we have learned a lot about different cultures, about healthy churches, not-so healthy churches and about the unique distinctions in the many different streams of Christendom. Of course we never lost a desire to remain non-sectarian in attitude and even open to learn from all types of these believers. Wonderful people -- we feel so grateful for our time with them! God continues to use Liney and I with some gifts of the Spirit for His glory. I am now serving daily as a Community Leader with Global Media Outreach, and I teach in a class at Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano Texas.

We’ve SO enjoyed all the fellowship with Christ and His people -- yes, we still do! Daily I feel like a reheated, refilled believer -- want to stay red-hot in my passion for Christ. The people at Prestonwood and GMO are family to Liney and I! Close! Been far more blessed than I deserve really.

Christ loves you and has an excellent plan for your life. Yes, you too can know Him well, and make him well known. Start where you are. Please come as you are (willing to be changed from the inside out. He'll accept with open arms).. or just come back to him. Here and now is good. Don't put it off as so many do. No excuses, Buckeroo. Remember, not to decide is to decide. Christ taught us you are either for him or against him, no in between. You are either gathering people with him to the Father, or scattering away.

It’s been said by a few fellow pastors.. "From radio ministry in Nicaragua to youth retreats high up in the mountains of Romania, God has blessed Kurt to minister in twenty eight nations for His glory. Kurt owes the Lord, and his wonderful wife Liney many thanks for being with him through all the traveling." I really do -- thank you! Daily Liney and I pray, trust and hope that God continues to use us.  We're willing to go where he leads.

Dare ya if I may.. Refire, why retire? Keep goin' in the will of God. Where’s the only place in the Bible where I can see retirement? Here in Num 8:24-26.

“This is what applies to the Levites: from twenty-five years old and upward they shall enter to perform service in the work of the Tent of Meeting, but at the age of fifty years, they shall retire from the service of the tabernacle work and serve no longer. they may assist their brothers in the Tent of Meeting to keep an obligation, but they shall do no heavy or difficult work. Thus you shall deal with the Levites concerning their obligations.” amp

Did ya know that the average person dies between two and seven years after their retirement. Don’t stop livin the life. Why stop your earnest prayin’ or ministering the word for decisions? That’d be crazy, it’s so overrated.

Lord, we pray against the now popular influences of Socialism, Marxism and Communism here in the States. Cuz these ideas help zero anywhere, and no one serious about their Christian faith can be serious about supporting such anti-God philosophies.

Lord, sadly with all the riots in our blue cities we've sure been seeing this ugly flag a lot. Please change hearts and minds -- bring your peace and order again.

Do young Americans really know what it stands for?

Q. So why in the world should we all think about or pray against Socialism, Marxism and Communism here today?

You remember when Bernie Sanders lost in the Iowa caucus right? He then came back with a victory in New Hampshire’s Democratic presidential primary. Amazing. The victory settled Bernie some — and by default his outspoken socialist ideologies — as a main contender for that party’s nomination. How could he and Socialism become so popular? Well, you could tell that he was pretty honest and sincere.

According to a Gallup poll published this crazy year (2020) an astonishing four in 10 Americans said they believe socialism would be good for the USA. Other recent polls have found half of millennials now have a positive view of socialism. That should be awake up call! (Been thinking about what Jack Graham was teaching about this yesterday at Prestonwood.)

No serious reborn Christian can support Socialism, Marxism and Communism.. that go against the existence of God.

We as Bible-believing evangelical Christians are in a battle -- it's a life and death conflict between the spiritual hosts of wickedness and those who claim the name of Christ… But do we really believe that we are in a life and death battle? Do we really believe that the part we play in the battle has consequences for whether or not men and women will spend eternity in hell? Or whether or not those who do live will live in a climate of moral perversion and degradation?

So what accounts for the changing attitudes among millennials on this? Have people in their early or late 20s actually seen the devastating effects of horrible Soviet-style repressive governments that are under socialism? I don't think so. Most teachers and lawyers in the USA are liberals now. As a nation we are past the Cold War era, and a generation has come along that hasn't really clearly been taught history (including what happened to people under Socialism). Perhaps they haven’t read on up on this or understand it... or perhaps they don't really care to.. but Bernie seems like a nice grandfather they perhaps never knew. He had gained the attention of the youth. He indeed was more honest than the others in the Democrat Party..until they paid him off each time in exchange for his huge calling/mailing list.

Young people have been listening to their liberal teachers, college professors, politicians and cultural influencers, and what they have been told sounds pretty good. Pot would be legalized, gobs of freebees if you don't work, college debts would be paid off.

Though socialism may seem attractive at first glance, socialism's appeal is very deceitful. Socialism is a socioeconomic and political philosophy that advocates for total government ownership of the means of production for the sake of providing equality. It’s not government by or for the people as we have known (when Democrats haven't been caught cheating) — it’s people by and for the government.

Yet for people of faith (including us born again Christians), it goes beyond socialism’s misguided socioeconomic and political ideas. The core of socialism opposes the very idea of there being a real God, one that we can have a personal relationship with.

No one serious about their Christian faith can be serious about supporting any anti-God philosophy.

Need three reasons to completely ditch Socialism?:

1.) Socialism flat-out denies the existence of God, oh yes it does.

Karl Marx, the father of Marxism and of scientific socialism, believed faith—especially Christianity—to be poisonous. He called religion the “opiate of the masses.” In fact, according to Marx, the idea of God is harmful and must be removed, if necessary by force, from society.

We are told by socialists today, Well, hostility to faith is a thing of the past. That was old-style socialism.

This argument is hollow. Socialist countries today still oppress and threaten people of all faiths. This is why churches in China are detonated and Christians continue to be persecuted. It’s why the luggage of Western visitors is inspected for Bibles in North Korea. It is why pastors in Cuba and other Latin American countries are still persecuted and why evangelism in Soviet Russia is very limited.

In America, socialism hasn’t yet taken such severe forms of oppression, but that doesn’t mean it’s not present. Today, politicians oppose candidates to the federal judiciary simply because they have spoken about their Christian faith.

2.) Socialism literally dehumanizes people.

The 20th century was the bloodiest century in the history of the world. Does it surprise us it was also the century when socialism was at its height? Under the regimes of Vladimir Lenin and Joseph Stalin in Russia, Adolf Hitler in Germany and Mao Zedong in China, more than 150 million people were murdered, starved to death and sent to extermination camps. Many of these victims were people of faith, such as Jews and Christians.

The Bible teaches people were created in the image of God. Every human life has inherent value — regardless of age, gender or race. Our value doesn’t come from our abilities nor is it debased by our disabilities.

But socialism denies the image of God in humanity, making people dispensable. If a person is perceived to be an inconvenience, he or she can easily be discarded.

In America, this socialist belief has manifested itself in our inexcusable history of abortion. More than 60 million babies have been killed through abortion since Roe v. Wade. No country, except for Communist China, has a more liberal abortion policy than the United States. It’s no coincidence that Planned Parenthood — the largest provider of abortions in the country — was inspired by the socialist views of its ideological founder Margaret Sanger.

In Europe, abortion is being taken to even greater extremes. For example, Iceland is on the verge of “eliminating” Down syndrome — by effectively aborting every baby diagnosed prenatally with the disorder. This isn’t an innovation in medical care; it’s extermination of the weakest.

Jesus (God) was murdered and rose again. But these days Norman Geisler was right when he said, “When God dies (and He never will), man dies.”

3.) Socialism leads to real captivity.

We don't need any more of that. God, we pray against the bondage and idolatry involved with Socialism. We even pray against all the current day sex and drug trafficking and slavery in the States. Lastly, socialism’s atheistic and dehumanizing views inevitably lead to oppression and captivity. Since the state is more important than the individual, the state — in the name of the greater good — has the power to curtail individual rights such as religious liberty, free speech, freedom of assembly and private property ownership. When you remove these freedoms, you end up with a police state.

While we are not living in such a place, we see the influence of socialism more and more in our country. Just take this recent example: a city in North Carolina removed the word “Lord” from a fallen officers memorial because it received complaints from residents.

The fact that socialism is entirely at odds with religion is not an issue only Christians should care about. We live in a free and prosperous America because our nation was founded on Judeo-Christian principles that laid the groundwork for success.

Respected author and historian Rodney Stark spoke of this in his book “The Victory of Reason: How Christianity Led to Freedom, Capitalism, and Western Success.”

He quotes a senior businessman from China who was tasked with finding the secret behind the success of the West. The businessman said, “We studied everything we could from the historical, political, economic and cultural perspective. At first, we thought it was because you had more powerful guns than we had. Then we thought it was because you had the best political system. Next we focused on your economic system. But in these past twenty years, we have realized that the heart of your culture is your religion: Christianity. That is why the West is so powerful. The Christian moral foundation of social and cultural life was what made possible the emergence of capitalism and then the successful transition to democratic politics. We don’t have any doubt about this.”

You indeed know that the Bible does not endorse one particular political or economic system — but it does teach us that God gave us life and intended for us to live free. Go look at it closer. Socialism is against both of these, and that’s the biggest reason why Christians cannot support it. If you have been, simply repent (turn and trust Christ), believe in His Gospel, let the other go. Come to.. come back to Christ now.

“Who has done this and carried it through, calling forth the generations from the beginning? I, the Lord—with the first of them and with the last—I am he.” Isaiah 41:4

This week, let's continue to pray against Socialism and Covid in the USA.. and earnestly pray for our leaders.

Lord, Thanks for a president that is against Socialism. Please keep healing President Trump, his wife Melania, and his team of Covid 19. Thanks that you have been healing him. You are with us and will carry us through these Covid times. You've done it before with other plagues of past generations -- thank you!

Great God, so worthy of praise, we pray for our churches...

May the day quickly return when Your Christian people can freely sing Your praises in all US churches here. Lord, help US pastors walk biblically! We pray that church leaders would walk in wisdom instead of in the flesh or in hypocrisy. Help all American pastors live real honest and pure in your victory. We thank You for the freedom to worship here in Texas—let it be that way in every state and may it always be so.

Draw the lost close.. into Your Kingdom to praise You, Jesus, and use us to plant seeds, to water seeds, and to reap many souls into Your Kingdom. Use us to influence, in serve well, to practically help people, to draw them to you.. not to us. (Psalm 145:3; 34:1; 30:4; John 6:44)

Lord of Hosts, we ask for protection in Your powerful Name....

We are a nation of law and order here. Please put an end to the violence in our streets and against churches! Restore order an peace here. May these rioting criminals be exposed, caught, and come to know that You are God. May you convict and save as many as are willing to turn. May You be exalted! Destroy their evil plans and attempts -- every evil plot or weapon formed against us. Push back the attacks. Spread Your protection over us, Jesus! (Psalm 64:2; 40:16; 92:8; Matthew 16:18; Isaiah 54:17; Psalm 5:11-12)

Nothing is impossible with You, God, including the development of a safe vaccine and medicine...

Our hope in in You, Jesus Christ! Glad there is power in Your wonderful Name! Come alongside developers and researchers; establish the work of their hands. Help them to meet impossible deadlines, for nothing is too hard for you to do. On this fast track, may there be no missteps, no one harmed. (Psalm 62:5; 90:17; Jeremiah 32:17;)

God of love, we pray for those showing great love, risking their lives for the sick...

Do the numbers of COVID cases continue to grow here, well, we pray that they would rapidly decrease and go away. Heal the sick and protect those who help them. Please continue to heal our hard-working President and his kind wife, Melania. May we all demonstrate our love for others by obeying guidelines to reduce risk..even if the masks aren't working much. I can't stand masks, Lord. (Luke 5:17; Psalm 28:7; John 15:12-13; Philippians 2:3)

(Continue on as you are led of course, injecting your own personal prayer ideas..)

Light of the World, lamp to our feet, we pray for schools, parents and children....

Being in the classroom is vital to child development—light the way for schools to open, guide them along the best path. Keep children, teachers, and staff healthy and safe. Provide for parents so they can meet their children’s needs! (John 8:12; 2 Samuel 22:29; Psalm 32:8; 127:3)

We want our nation's leaders on both sides to stop acting lame or evil. God of order and peace, help our leaders and Congress to set aside politics and come together as one for the sake of the people..

While they disagree, people and businesses suffer. Companies large and small are out of business; people, out of jobs. Enable leaders to work together; guide them make wise decisions. Give us leaders who love You and Your law. (1 Corinthians 14:33; 1 Peter 3:8; Luke 10:27; Psalm 119:97)

We Love And Praise You, Lord. Way-maker, Miracle Worker, Promise Keeper, Light in the Darkness, that is who You are...

God, I pray against the cheating (election fraud). Yes, we pray for Your will will be done in next month's US Election. for souls and against Socialism here. I pray those who try to spread it here will quickly fail. Don't need it, we need You, Jesus! Thank You, Lord, for Your people who prayed in DC a week ago. Thanks for those who walked, prayed and sang in the peaceful march across the Brooklyn Bridge and who prayed outside Trump's Walter Reed hospital. May Your agape love be the bridge that unites hearts. Break down strongholds and remove barriers that stand in American's way. (Memorize and pray the truth of Bible verses. Colossians 2:2; 2 Corinthians 10:4. He's so loyal and faithful. Let's remind God of his kind promises!)

In Jesus’ powerful name we ask, amen.

Here's the definition of socialism (my dad just sent this to me): “A way of organizing a society in which major industries are owned and controlled by the government rather than by individual people and companies.”

Okay, so There are Some Dangers with Rivers, Lakes and Seas to be Aware of. Yes, Oftentimes Along the Banks, or in Tributaries or Swirling Eddies You Come-across Em.

Walk on.. not alone or with those who keep pullin' ya down.  Go forward, win the good battles you face.  Get past the muddy danger zones.

My two brothers ..Kev and Kyle and I.. we used to get in some fairly serious mud-fights around river waters and lakes.

Been called water-kids with a water dog (a shepherd named, Blitzen), but sometimes it was really more about mud or a horse trough with us boys.

Yup, at times, like you probably also did... we’d have a tug of WAR ..over something like a mud-hole or bathtub for watering horses at.. and we'd find ourselves waste deep in the mud at some So Cal River..flingin' that stuff at other kids who also gladly join in, who enjoyed this pastime.

As was our custom, we'd together do at least 100 miles down the Colorado River every year at Easter time.. down to Mexico with a bunch of other Tom Saywer Camp kids.
My grandfather Bill started it, and then my dad owned and ran this camp biz (more on that here). Dad would enjoy driving the ski boat the whole time for the kids on four to six rail-road tie rafts that we'd built and traveled south on... so he didn’t always see the gnarly battles with the flinging of mud at the guys on the other side. When he was a kid, he was in em too, so of course he understood.
Been stuck in mud at the Devil's Gate Dam before. Needed a little help that time. But I remember one time while in the heat of it all (mud flyin').. while getting stuck and s l o w ly sucked-in ..up to my waste in the mud, and then up to my chest as a mud fight raged on.
Didn't really take it seriously. How can you, it's kid's a mud fight. And we all pretty much were laughing the whole time while still flingin' and whipping some soggy fast balls at those guys “the enemy”..chuckling out loud I was, that nature had somehow actually handicapped me to almost a standstill. It had tightly grabbed 'hold of me. Is this happening for real? Naww. No way! Oh yes -- WAY!
That rubbery clay like mud was a little different this time..more rubbery-like. I was stuck, but not like before. It was holding me at bay and gradually sucking me downwards the more I tried in my own power to get above it to free myself. It can happen -- slowly gettin' stuck in near-quick-sand. And that was one time I actually needed some help to out of there.. help with a long two by four and it took a little while too.. for my buds to tug and TUG me on out. Embarrassing. With mud all over the face, it was sorta like a rescue.

Here's what to do. Listen, in certain areas near an eddy or a muddy river bank where you can find so called "jelly-sand" (near-quick-sand) is, you can just walk fast over some of it.. not really sinkin' in much. But you have to keep on walking. If you are more on the edge of it, then keep goin' instead of ceasing to walk over it. Man, you would start to sink down in the crud, and then might even need some friends to throw you a line to pull you out.

Now in a context where the Colossian believers were starting to get stuck.. sucked on down by an amalgamation of spiritual weirdness ..a quicksand of Gnosticism, Judaizer-legalism, religious heresy, mysticism and asceticism, the Apostle Paul warned those people of the Lycus Valley saying, “As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.” Col. 2:6-7 nkjv

Be on the move forward, not sideways or backwards! Together with the body of Christ -- in a healthy Bible teaching church. Get your feet on the solid Rock (the Jesus Christ of the Bible), get yourself on stable ground in the Word of God. Come to Him. Have you gotten distracted away a bit.. taken a stride from the Master's side? Turn and trust -- come back to Him. Get back to your roots, believer, back to the basics of simply walkin' securely.. instead of gettin’ all sucked-into danger. Now is good. Return today, get home before dark.

Listen, Jesus walked and overcame. You too were born to walk in victory--you were created by Him to win in the battles of life!

At the beaches you shuffle your feet through the sands cuz the dangers under-neigh the water could be riptides, skates, stingrays or bigger sharks some 35 yards out. But at different Southern State rivers like the San Gabriel, the Colorado, and Santa Ana River etc the dangers could be ‘quick aka Jelly Sand.” We all love gettin’ in the water when it’s hot out, but be cautious and vigilant, prayerful.. especially with all the children playing around you there.

There was once this Texas man that was killed by gettin' stuck in Jelly-Sand on the San Antonio River not all that long ago.

Did you hear about, Mr. Jose Rey Escobedo? He went missing back on July 7, 2015 around 10 a.m. On July 8, police received a call reporting a light blue car had been parked underneath the San Antonio River Bridge in Goliad County. After succumbing to his battle, eleven game wardens found him on the 11th in South Texas.
