Would you pray something like...
Help me and my family through the rest of 2020, Lord. Don't really care to repeat any year like this year. Restore what's been lost.
"Our help is in the name of the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth." Psalm 124:8
“Let us by faith in the Lord Jesus give ourselves to be intercessors. May every sight of those needing help...urge us to do this one thing: With perseverance, cry out to God who alone can and will help.” Andrew Murray
We pray for wisdom to act and live better as your reps. Our times are troubled by this Coronavirus that continues to disrupt or even claim lives. We call out to You on behalf of all who have been exposed or infected by it. Thanks for the good medical staff and healing our President and the First Lady. Thanks for healing those who work closely with them. Bring healing to even more people here. Yes, prevent more loss of life! (Psalm 9:9)
It is not only the pandemic bringing trouble and grief, but wildfires still... that continue to rage, and hurricanes in record number with floods and destruction. In Your great mercy, turn to us. Send rain to put out the fires. Please stop all the voter fraud and violence that's been seen again. Put the cheaters (even those politicians who have committed serious crimes) behind bars where they belong. Some are treasonous traitors who deserve the death penalty. Jesus (God), we look to you -- please calm all the storms of 2020. (Psalm 7:6; 10:14; 69:16-17; Job 28:25-26)
Sustain those who have lost so much. Companies and bosses aren't loyal, but You are. Jobs have been lost, millions unemployed. Help them look to You for the help only You can give. Husbands need decent paying employment, and some wives desire that as well. Grant strength, health, wise ability. Please provide for your people--make a way where there simply isn't one at this time. Open doors for believers. Let them not be ripped off by anyone. Lives have been lost, leaving loved ones to cope with it all. So much pain, anxiety, loss of sleep and grief. Use these crises to draw people to Christ. (Genesis 17:1; Psalm 145:15; John 6:44)
We ask You to raise up a wise Justice of the Supreme Court for the American people. Let one be appointed who will judge SMART -- yes fairly, carefully, and without partiality. Give us one who will seek You for wisdom, knowledge and understanding. (Genesis 18:25; Deuteronomy 16:18; 2 Chronicles 19:7; Proverbs 2:6)
Make us good influencers and leaders for Your Kingdom's sake. You are the Ruler of the nations! We call out to You to put Your people in office here.. in this soon coming election. Give us leaders who will inquire of You first.. who will seek Your counsel and not miss.. before making their own decisions, who will search for peace and work to maintain it. (Psalm 95:3; Ezekiel 31:11; 2 Chronicles 18:4; Psalm 34:14)
In these unstable times, we need You to be our sure foundation. Major changes are the norm from day to day. How hard it is to cope when the only certainty is uncertainty. O Lord, our Rock, be our stability. Hear us as we cry to You for help. (Isaiah 26:4; Isaiah 33:6; Psalm 28:1)
"But the anointing that you received from him abides in you, and you have no need that anyone should teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about everything, and is true, and is no lie—just as it has taught you, abide in him." 1 John 2:27 esv"On that day God will end the bondage of his people. He will break the yoke of slavery off their necks and destroy it as decreed." Isaiah 10:27 tlb"...and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing." nkjv, Darby, kjv, brg"...and the yoke shall be consumed in the presence of the anointing." jub
It’s a good day for all of us to pray. Then we can obey and stay.
Sure, it’s a good day to know the Lord well and stay in the move of God (can happen) ..smack dab in his will. It’s a good day to help make Him well known!
What we are seeing today is basically a preview of things to come.. of the coming judgement of God upon this earth for rebellious people who’ve rejected His sinless Son, Jesus.
What we’ve been witnessing on our streets this year (funded and non-funded) is basically about Authority. Will we be humble and short of sinning.. submit to Direct Authority (God) and to flawed Delegated Authorities who also need to function under Him?
Stability is the ability to stay. Duh. It’s no time to not pray and obey.. God..I mean to put Christ off another day. As you are come to.. come back to Christ. Willing to be forgiven and changed from the inside out. Turn, trust, ask. God loves you and has a good purpose for your life. (Get right in the light, or get left in the dark)
