F4S: But why did God give people a free will? Seems like we've gotten into a bit of trouble with that. Some have bailed out for a time, and taken a stride from their Master's side.

But why did God give people a free will? Seems like we've gotten into a bit of trouble with that. Some have bailed out for a time, and taken a stride from their Master's side.

Choose to love and wisely apply the Word. How much gets into your daily life -- into your shoe leather, Kurt?

Written in my Bible as a reminder -- This Book will keep you from sin and sin will keep you from this Book. Live in the word 24/7/365!

Let no sin keep you from God or his Book. Run to him, admit it and quit it when you blow it. When you stumble or fall and the accuser is there to say you aren't worthy to go back to God, you are a hypocrite. That's when you need to run to him all the faster. He knows it all anyways, and will forgive you. With your free will, choose Him over any pet sin that's even fun for a short season. Some sin can be. Get home before dark..and darker..and darkest. Come back to Jesus, and to his healthy church fellowship he has for you to enjoy.

“If we judge our lives by what we know or by what we say, we can easily deceive ourselves into thinking that we are something we are not; it is wiser to evaluate ourselves by the amount of truth we actually live. This is very humbling.” — Paul Washer

You are my personal revival, Lord. On You I will wait to hear -- I love your Voice. The word still renews my strength.

What of the word gets from the head down into your heart daily.. what of it do you wisely apply, Kurt?

“God created things which had free will. That means creatures which can go wrong or right. Some people think they can imagine a creature which was free but had no possibility of going wrong, but I can't. If a thing is free to be good it's also free to be bad. And free will is what has made evil possible. Why, then, did God give them free will? Because free will, though it makes evil possible, is also the only thing that makes possible any love or goodness or joy worth having. A world of automata of creatures that worked like machines would hardly be worth creating. The happiness which God designs for His higher creatures is the happiness of being freely, voluntarily united to Him and to each other in an ecstasy of love and delight compared with which the most rapturous love between a man and a woman on this earth is mere milk and water. And for that they've got to be free. Of course God knew what would happen if they used their freedom the wrong way: apparently, He thought it worth the risk... If God thinks this state of war in the universe a price worth paying for free will that is, for making a real world in which creatures can do real good or harm and something of real importance can happen, instead of a toy world which only moves when He pulls the strings then we may take it it is worth paying.” ― C.S. Lewis

So many beautiful things in God's nature and creation out there! Jesus is the most beautiful person there is. I love Him more.

Why ever primarily go away after something or someone that is far lesser than the Lord? God is the best there is -- live 100% for Him. Let's never bail out. You and I don't need any epic backslide, or any backsliding away from Him at all.

If you truly love nature, you will find beauty everywhere.” — Vincent van Gogh

If you truly see how the Lord is and choose to love Him (the most beautiful Person in the entire universe), then you’ll find His strong grace to glorify Him everywhere He leads you.” — Me, yours truly

Who wouldn’t want to first hand experience His intervention and close loyal friendship? Why ever go away -- there's never a good reason to take a stride from your Master's side. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us.."

What do ya know of apostasy and how can ya recognize it? Well, that term apostasy comes from the Greek word apostasia. It means “a defiance of an established system or authority; a rebellion; an abandonment or a breach of real faith.”
