WE DO HAVE SOME GOOD EXAMPLES... YES, OF PEOPLE WHO WERE WILLING TO STAND AGAINST THE WHOLE WORLD TO REMAIN LOYAL AND FAITHFUL TO CHRIST.

I dare ya, no I double-dog dare you by God's powerful anointing if I may, to be like them. Be filled and controlled by the Holy Spirit.

Choose early, draw upon the Spirit's grace...

Be Faithful Until Death -- How Beautiful, That Unshakable Loyalty Of Those Who Belong To Christ

"Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life." — Revelation 2:10

The Christian life has never been a call to comfort. It is a call to Christ and then boldly spreading His gospel Message. Let's earnestly pray. God the Father can use you to win people to His Son.

From the very beginning, Jesus never promised His followers an easy road. He promised Himself. He promised His presence. He promised His peace. He promised His power. And He promised that those who belong to Him will never be abandoned.

When Jesus spoke to the suffering believers in Smyrna, He did not tell them that persecution would disappear. Instead, He prepared them to endure it. Some would be imprisoned. Some would suffer greatly. Some would even die for His name. Yet His command remained wonderfully simple:

"Do not fear.. Be faithful until death." (Revelation 2:10)

That command rests upon an even greater reality:

God is always faithful first.

Our perseverance is never the cause of our salvation. It is the evidence that God's saving grace is at work within us. We endure because Christ holds us securely. We remain faithful because He remains faithful.

Paul rejoiced in this certainty:

"He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." (Philippians 1:6)

Jesus declared the same glorious security:

"My sheep hear My voice.. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of My hand." (John 10:27–30)

Being faithful unto death means following the Lord with all fears getting conquered.

  • Believers should be.. they each can be fully ready to stand strong in the Lord when adversity arrives.. with their faith in Chirst, even facing extreme fierce persecution or even martyrdom like Stephen did.
  • Believers should be.. they each can be fully ready for the Rapture to happen, if it happens during their life time here.
  • Believers should be.. they each can be fully ready to give verbal witness of what God has done in their lives. True witnesses live the life (not a double life, not inconsistantly if they allow the Spirit is in control). Yes, they can be and give verbal expression speaking God's Message boldly by the power of the Holy Spirit rather than relying upon human strength. We're called to Him and to this lifestyle.
  • I would like to point to some biblical figures like Stephen who sacrificed everything for Christ. Death is not the end for believers because Jesus conquered the grave, offering eternal life.

The believer's confidence is not found in the strength of his grip upon Christ, but in Christ's unbreakable grip upon him.

The Holy Spirit seals every true believer until the day of redemption (Ephesians 1:13–14; 4:30; 2 Corinthians 1:22). The God who saves also keeps His own.

Therefore, faithfulness is not self-produced determination. It is the fruit of God's preserving grace.

The World May Reject Christ, But Heaven And All Those There Never Will

Jesus warned His disciples that increasing hostility would mark this present age. Here's a Bible promise we don't really feel fond of...

"You will be hated by all nations because of My name." (Matthew 24:9)

    False teaching would multiply.

    Lawlessness would increase.

    Love would grow cold.

Many would abandon the faith they once professed.

    Yet Christ also declared:

"The one who endures to the end will be saved." (Matthew 24:13)

Endurance does not purchase salvation. It reveals the reality of saving faith.

Real faith perseveres because the Savior preserves.

The same grace that forgives also transforms.

The same grace that justifies also sanctifies.

The same Savior who rescues sinners also sustains saints.

Fear Has Lost Its Mastery, So Why Should You Who Know The Lord? Ask Him To Make You Fearless Today

Jesus gave one of the most liberating commands ever spoken to His followers:

"Do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul." (Matthew 10:28)

The greatest enemy can only touch the body.

    He cannot steal eternal life.

He cannot separate believers from the love of Christ (Romans 8:35–39).

He cannot remove them from the Father's hand.

Death itself has become merely the doorway into everlasting joy.

The Christian never walks toward defeat.

    He walks toward resurrection.

God Keeps His People Through All Kinds Of Trials

Scripture never promises believers an escape from every hardship.

Instead, it promises God's presence in every hardship.

He walks through the fire with His people.

    He enters the lions' den.

    He stands beside imprisoned apostles.

    He strengthens weary missionaries.

    He comforts suffering saints.

    He never abandons His own.

    As Hebrews reminds us:

"I will never leave you nor forsake you." (Hebrews 13:5)

Because God never leaves us, believers can say with confidence:

"The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?" (Hebrews 13:6)

    Faithful People Change History

From cover to cover, from Table of Contents to the maps in the back. Throughout all of Scripture and church history, God has always preserved boys and girls, men and women who loved Christ more than comfort. Do you? You can also live like this. Pray like you mean it...without ceasing... cuz you really do.

Most of these believers faced severe opposition and suffering. Many were misunderstood. Several were imprisoned. Many were martyred for the wonderful name of Jesus.

    None regretted following Christ.

    Faithful Witnesses Throughout Church History

Know Him well, and then make Him well known wherever He leads you. Be like the Lord; live like that. Care for real, and then share what's real cuz we are realists. Talk to God about men and then to men about God.. in that order. The Lord has continued raising up courageous witnesses (with a right human spirit cuz of the Holy Spirit, by good words, good motives, good attitudes, and by good deeds) throughout every century.

Go study these lives prayerfully and don't do the wrong things these have done. We each are flawed sinners and imperfect (are you a sinner who was saved or a sinner yet to be saved?), but do that they each did right in the Lord if it's fitting for your time and situation ..please. Wisly apply the Word of God.. don't apply it foolishly in His name. That would be a bad witness that would repell people. Each one LOVED JESUS MOST MORE THAN LIFE ITSELF. Each one of these believers served the Lord faithfully in different generations, but they shared one primary conviction along with believing in the Essentials:

    Jesus Christ is worth everything.

    They Loved Not Their Lives

Heaven gives this remarkable description of faithful believers:

"They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death." (Revelation 12:11)

    That is biblical courage.

    Not reckless bravery.

    Not human stubbornness.

    Not self-confidence.

But wholehearted devotion to the Savior who first loved them.

Faithfulness Is Ordinary Obedience Over a Lifetime

Most Christians will never stand before a firing squad.

    Most will never be imprisoned.

Yet every believer is called to daily faithfulness.

    Faithfulness at home.

    Faithfulness at work.

    Faithfulness in purity.

    Faithfulness in prayer.

    Faithfulness in truth.

    Faithfulness in forgiveness.

    Faithfulness in evangelism.

    Faithfulness when no one notices.

The greatest victories are often quiet acts of obedience known only to God.

    The Crown of Life

Jesus ends His promise with hope:

"I will give you the crown of life." (Revelation 2:10)

This is not a reward earned by human effort.

It is the joyful inheritance of those whose faith proved genuine because Christ faithfully preserved them.

    The race will end.

    The battle will cease.

    The tears will dry.

    Faith will become sight.

Every sacrifice made for Christ will seem small compared to seeing Him face to face.

    As the old hymn declares:

"It will be worth it all, when we see Jesus."

The Fruit of the Holy Spirit – What is self-control?

What is the realm of the Spirit (Romans 8:9)?

Isn't it unloving to tell someone he/she is sinning?

How do I find comfort and peace when I have lost a loved one?

Why is there no greater love than to lay down your life (John 15:13)?

Is a believer supposed to be able to feel the Holy Spirit?

In what way is self-control a fruit of the Holy Spirit?

Did God sacrifice Himself to Himself to save us from Himself?

What does it mean to walk in the Spirit?

What does it mean that Jesus loved His own to the end (John 13:1)?

How can I overcome the fear of death?

What does the Bible say about suicide? Don't do that selfish act.. you are not your own; you've been bought at a price.

What did Jesus mean when He said that he who loves his life will lose it?

What is the sin unto death?

What does it mean that the believers will overcome by the blood of the Lamb?

How can I ..for real.. be filled and controlled (not by spirits all buzzed or drunk) with/by the Holy Spirit?

What does it look like to be spiritually minded (Romans 8:6)?

“If you have not discovered something you are willing to die for, then you are not fit to live.” ― Martin Luther King Jr.

Live in God's will. You haven't even begun to live right until you find that one thing.. I mean that One Person worth living and dying for. #Jesus

    Need some courage from Him?

Jesus put it this way: “For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it; but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it” (Matthew 16:25).

Everyone’s physical life here is terminal.

We are all going to physically die at some point; we just don’t know when or how.

Some say we each start dying right after we were physically born. The real question is, will we ever really live?

Am NOT talking about taking up space and sucking up air; I mean really living, making an impact, a real difference, pushing past our fears and taking hold of our God-ordained destiny.

Until we deal with death in our minds, we will miss out on life.

"Therefore, since the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also partook of the same, that through death He might render powerless him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, and might free those who through fear of death were subject to slavery all their lives." Hebrews 2:14–15

It is only when we deal with the inevitable in our hearts that we can actually go serve the Lord, I mean for Him to do the impossible.

When a person loses their fear of death and the fear of man, having Jesus as Lord, he or she begins to move into new realms of Christian impact! God totally delights to use us, ordinary people to pull of extraordinary things for His glory.

"A coward dies a thousand deaths, but a brave man dies only once!" Anon. from Rome

Why be robbed of real zoe life every day? I propose that the life we were called to live lies on the other side of our personal fears and all deception. The Fake News and others love to lie to us, but we can walk with discernment and boldness. Remember, God how did not childproof that Garden of Eden. He is very interested in keeping each of us from a life of vanity and meaninglessness. Courage is a catalyst to great leadership in the Lord and for a life full of real purpose!

Turn your eyes upon Jesus, look full in His wonderful face; and the things of earth will grow strangely dim, in the light of His glory and grace.

I don't mind the part about being physically dead (cuz I know my spirit will be alive with the Lord and then later my body will be resurrected), but it's "getting dead" that kinda concerns me a bit. Sickness and disease, heart attacks and strokes and other physical problems wouldn't be here if it wasn't for Adam's sin in the garden. If it wasn't for sin. God can forgive each of us if we will be straightforward and repent, if we will simply receive saving faith in His Son Jesus. None of us want to "get dead" really (that isn't a normal longing of anyone), but we all want to live forever. God is love. Let's live in and with Him! Only Christ can give us sufficient grace and strength to get through the getting that way.

God is faithful. The world is not -- the world and worldlings can cancel you.. cuz they are cruel, heartless and mean. Got oppostion? Have you been under attack? Have health issues, trials, circumstances, or arrogant religious folk on your case? Have worldly people canceled you, or your career etc before? The crucified, and now living Lord understands you. He ain't like that.

    "Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father;
    There is no shadow of turning with Thee;
    Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not;
As Thou hast been Thou forever wilt be.

    Refrain:

    Great is Thy faithfulness!
    Great is Thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see:
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided—
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!
Summer and winter and springtime and harvest,
Sun, moon, and stars in their courses above
Join with all nature in manifold witness
To Thy great faithfulness, mercy, and love.
Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth,
Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide,
Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow—Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside!" ~ Thomas O. Chisholm (an insurance salesman and part time preacher. What did he base those lyrics on? These words..)

"This I recall to my mind, therefore I have hope. Through the LORD’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. 'The LORD is my portion,' says my soul, 'therefore I hope in Him!' The LORD is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him. It is good that one should hope and wait quietly for the salvation of the LORD." Lam. 3:21-26

The opposing cancel culture and canceling-circumstances will one day soon.. be canceled.

Thomas Chisholm lived until February 29, 1960 and was an American songwriter who wrote several prominent Christian hymns. So where was Thomas born? It was in Franklin, Kentucky on July 29, 1866 in a log cabin. He became a teacher at age sixteen.

Did he hear and grasp the truth of the gospel? Yep, not merely religious was he. When was this? In 1893, at aged 27, Mr. Chisholm repented of his sins and believed in the Jesus Christ of the Bible. The most important decision of his life! Yes, Thomas was regenerated inside -- born of the Spirit. He had a first-hand experience with God in this conversion. It was during a revival in Franklin that was led by Dr. Henry Clay Morrison..where Thomas was led to the Lord. And later on?

Thomas served as a Methodist minister for only one year before resigning due to his poor health.

The circumstances of life basically canceled his career, but God still used and kept him. In spite of what happens to you here, choose to stay blessable and see God as He is. Kind, fair, good. Keep yourself within reach of this one God who longs to bless you. He can keep and help you!

    Q. Have health issues, or tough circumstances, or evil people (from say the cancel culture) canceled your career before? I say trust God anyways -- He loves you and still has a good plan. Thomas, if he was still here, would say the same thing to you. No matter what life or others do to you.. God's purposes will be fulfilled -- cling to Christ who was put on a cruel cross by the cancel culture folk of His day.

Please prayerfully memorize Romans 8:28-29. Behind all the bitter, mean, cold-cruel circumstances of this life is God's providence of kindness for you.

In 1909 Chisholm began working as a life insurance agent which he really enjoyed. This was in Winona Lake and Vineland, New Jersey.

How did God use Chisholm? In one area he wrote over 1,200 sacred poems over his lifetime, which communicated his faith. These appeared in many Christian periodicals, and he served as an editor of the Pentecostal Herald in Louisville for a period.

In 1923 at age fifty-seven, Chisholm wrote the very popular song Great Is Thy Faithfulness which he submitted to William M. Runyan who was affiliated with the sound Moody Bible Institute and Runyan set the song to music. What a testimony!

So what are we learning today? To rest in, to revive in, to rally to, to rely upon the faithful Lord. It's a weird day to live in now, not seen days like this before.

Everything was getting canceled.. weddings, graduations, church services, funerals, businesses, schools, vacations, jobs. Even Mr. Potato head, the cat in the hat, green eggs and cheese -- yeah, Dr. Seuss, and other people's lives too. By mean and ignorant fools.

But our God is one of Love and accurate Justice. His timing is perfect with that. While we have time.. shine the light real bright, and share His gospel with loved ones. Be more known for what you are for, than what you are against. We are for Lord first, for His soon return, and for all people coming to Him..living rapture-ready! There are still so many excellent things and good causes to be involved with ..as Jesus leads us.

God doesn't want to cancel out or erase people, he loves and wants to bless all people..and will do that if they will turn and trust His Son. If they will by faith receive His Son and His free forgiveness. None of us can earn it.

Been musing on.. "The wicked are headed for death and the grave; all the nations who forget the True God will share a similar fate." Psalm 9:17 ("..shall be turned in hell.." in the nkjv)

Seems like our nation has so many cruel wicked people and like they've been winning lately.

"At any moment I may decide to pull up a people or a country by the roots and get rid of them. But if they repent of their wicked lives, I will think twice and start over with them." Jeremiah 18:7, 8

Let's judge ourselves early and repent, Americans.. so we don't need to be judged later on. You know it's starts in God's house and then goes out to all those who basically have been asking for it by their attitudes, motives, selfish ideas, words, evil deeds. The Lord promises this...

"If My people who are called by My name humble themselves, and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14

"Though the fig tree may not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines; though the labor of the olive may fail, and the fields yield no food; though the flock may be cut off from the fold, and there be no herd in the stalls—yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation. The LORD God is my strength.." Hab. 3:17-19a

"In heavenly armour we'll enter the land
The battle belongs to the Lord
No weapon that's fashioned against us shall stand
The battle belongs to the Lord
    We sing glory, honor
Power and strength to the Lord
    We sing glory, honor
Power and strength to the Lord

When the power of darkness comes in like a flood
The battle belongs to the Lord
He's raised up a standard, the power of His blood
The battle belongs to the Lord..

When your enemy presses in hard do not fear
The battle belongs to the Lord
Take courage my friend, your redemption is near
The battle belongs to the Lord." ~ Collins Jamie Sue and Owens Jamie

    “ Above all powers
    Above all kings
    Above all nature
    And all created things
    Above all wisdom
And all the ways of man

    You were here
    Before the world began

    Above all kingdoms
    Above all thrones
    Above all wonders
    The world has ever known
    Above all wealth
    And treasures of the earth
    There's no way to measure
    What You're worth

    Crucified
    Laid behind a stone
    You lived to die
    Rejected and alone

    Like a rose
    Trampled on the ground
    You took the fall
    And thought of me
    Above all.

Five Steps to Be Faithful and Fruitful like Joseph.. Instead of all Backslidden.

“If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.” ~ Jesus, Jn. 15:7

Are you doing your part to live with fullness of life? Faithfully abiding in the Vine leads to fruitfulness in God's will.. simple as that. Pray in faith. Obey. No striving or conniving or jivin' will do. Add to your faith virtue and keep on adding in the good stuff that edifies.

1.) Fill your heart with Jesus. Christ is faithful, so fall in love with Him and be falling in love with Him over and over again. Pray earnestly. Make Him Lord, not just in theory. Where do I start? Ask yourself: Do I really know Jesus in a personal way? Have you repented of sin and invited Him into my heart?
2.) Fill your mind with the Word of God. Be busy filled your thoughts with the truth of Scriptures--in your heart and brain. Think of the Arameans displacement rule: If you go into a full tub of water, the water will always rise up, flow out and will make room for you.  “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom..” Col. 3:16
3.) Fill your routines with good rules for self. Never be left alone with the opposite sex other than your spouse. Remember Billy Graham’s rule. Not in a car, room, home, or in an elevator alone with a woman. His hotel room was checked first. There’s more temptation in our increasingly more immoral society than ever before. But people will think I’m radically old fashioned. Who cares?
4.) Fill your life with accountability. Love your faith-family and small group Bible study. Be ready today to cut off all pet sins and those places where you might even.. feel tempted. "And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell.” Mat 5:29-30 nkjv
5.) Fill your fellowship with sinners open to turning and trusting Jesus. Passionate new baby believers revitalize, re-motivate, reinvigorate, remind veteran believers. This gets you back to the basics of relationship and sowing. You're either in or out, for or against the Lord--no in between. You're either diligently seeking Him and busy gathering with Him for His Kingdom or scattering away. You're either a soul-winner or a backslider, either a missionary or a mission-field, either worshipping and evangelizing or distracted and fossilizing.
    - We see the revelation of Joseph's person in verses 1-3
    - We see the revelation of Joseph's purpose in verses 4-16
"Then Joseph said to his brothers, 'I am Joseph; does my father still live?' But his brothers could not answer him, for they were dismayed in his presence." Genesis 45:3
What must Joseph's brothers have felt and thought? Fear, shock, and terror must have filled their hearts. Perhaps some confusion flooded their minds, thinking their heads would be lopped off.
Ask yourself this.. From the O.T. when will it be that Jesus reveals who He is to His brethren the Jews?
"I will go and return to my place, till they acknowledge their offence. and seek my face in their affliction they will seek me early." Hosea 5:15 kjv
Through Hosea, Jesus said prophetically, "I will return to My place until My people acknowledge their offense." What offense? Their rejection of Him. In their affliction, they will seek Him early. What affliction? The Tribulation, the time of Jacob's trouble, the seven-year period described in Revelation 6-19 in which the world undergoes judgment and the horrific outpouring of God's wrath on a Christ-rejecting world. In their affliction, the nation Israel will seek the Lord. They'll acknowledge their offense. They'll realize Jesus is Messiah. And then He will make Himself known to them.
"And Joseph said to his brothers, 'Please come near to me.' So they came near. Then he said: 'I am Joseph your brother, whom you sold into Egypt. But now, do not therefore be grieved or angry with yourselves because you sold me here; for God sent me before you to preserve life. For these two years the famine has been in the land, and [there are] still five years in which there will be neither plowing nor harvesting.'" Genesis 45:4-6 nkjv
After revealing his person, Joseph then reveals his purpose. The first purpose for Joseph's position relating to his bros was pardon. He really missed them and wanted them blessed. "Don't be upset with yourselves," he said to his brothers. "Your selling me into this foreign land as a slave was all part of God's plan."
Think about those words of Joseph. They express the heart of Jesus Christ. "Father, forgive them," is what Christ prayed from the Cross, "for they don't know what they're doing" (Luke 23:34). Those who crucified Jesus were in need of forgiveness and were indeed forgiven. The price was paid. And Peter would go on to declare that it was all part of a Divine design. It was a grand plan that Jesus would die for the sins of every man (Acts 2:22-24). Basically, "I know you are aware of your flaws and failings," Freely ask and receive. Jesus would say to us. "but don't be grieved. I've forgiven you."
We already discussed how Joseph kept serving the Lord in Egypt by doing what he consistently did -- wisely managing one crisis after another. He was diligent. First came the personal ones and then those of a whole nation. Addressing a crisis was his talent. He’d start and the bottom with his serving, but would then rise up like cream. Yes, it was cuz he’d think, believe and act faithfully without spiritual compromise. God promoted Joseph to Vizer, to PM, to Vice Pharaoh if ya will cuz he remained faithful in small and big things.

Be adding. "And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make [you that ye shall] neither [be] barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins." 2 Pet. 1:5-9
Be faithful. “I gave the responsibility of governing Jerusalem to my brother Hanani, along with Hananiah, the commander of the fortress, for he was a faithful man who feared God more than most.” Neh. 7:2 nlt
God can make you and me dependable people for His glory.
There are certain people who, if you give them a task, they won’t get bugged because you didn’t put the at the top in delegated authority, but they’ll just take care of it. You can consider it done. You don’t have to wonder about it at all. You don’t have to ask how it went. You just know that person is reliable and fruitful.
After the walls of Jerusalem’s were rebuilt, remember how Nehemiah appointed some people to take care of the important business: It was Hanani and Hananiah. They’d been proven. Nehemiah just knew he could lean on these two. He knew they would get the job done.
Lots of people worked. Everyone had a part in that building project, and many of the people rebuilt the wall near their homes. They needed to keep Jerusalem’s wall strong, sturdy and secure.. because if there was a breach in any part of that wall, if it was penetrable then life became too dangerous. Everyone’s task was vital.
The same is true of the local church today. There are healthy, strong biblical churches and there are weak, ill fed, and sickly ones. The greatest ability is dependability. Are you full of the Spirit and of faith? Hananiah was a faithful man, the Bible points this out, and he also feared God. Are you respectful of Him and godly?
You can be a dependable person as you walk with Jesus Christ? God is looking for people who can take an unlovely task and just complete it. He is looking for people who are faithful in the little things.. in the least that they are given. We all have a role to play in God’s Church.
Sure, none of us are called to be a Hanani or a Hananiah, but we all have an important part to play as we find and use the gifts that God has given us in His Kingdom. He has called you to be you with Him leading as Lord.
If you have no desire to be used of God, then you need to get in the Word until you have this healthy desire.
Do you desire to be used of, and to glorify God? Would you like God to call you into some form of Christian service in the coming days? Would you like Him to use you in His rescuing plan. So many people are starving and lost.
Sure, that is a great thing to aspire to, but you can start serving now. Just do what is in front of you now to help and edify people.
Take care of the little things right now. If you’re faithful in the little things, then you will be faithful in the large things. God said that. But if you’re unfaithful in little things, then you won’t be faithful with greater responsibilities.
“God is faithful, who has called you into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.” 1 Cor. 1:9
As you worship and thank God, ask believing and big. Ask for small things too. Be faithful in little things. Earnestly intercede and appropriate the Lord’s faithfulness. Be candid with Him. He will bless and make you a blessing -- yes, make you fruitful like Joseph!
Be quick to go tell on you ..to God.. when you blow it! He already knows it all anyways. Joseph’s brother Judah was unfaithful for some years, but God made Judah faithful after he turned and confessed. But Reuben covered his sin. See Gen. 38:20-26
“He who covers his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy.” Prov. 28:13
Yes, be completely humble, vertically dependent. Abide in the vine and you won’t have to strive to produce fruit. Be selfless, godly, a wise witness and example of good character. The Bible says...
“If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won’t be honest with greater responsibilities.” Lk. 16:10
“A faithful witness does not lie, but a false witness will utter lies.” Prov. 14:5
“But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.” 1 Thess. 3:3
“A faithful person will be richly blessed, but one eager to get rich will not go unpunished.” Prov. 28:20
One leads to another so opt to live faithful today. Lord, we appropriate your grace and wisdom to reproduce.
“Joseph is a fruitful bough, A fruitful bough by a well; His branches run over the wall. The archers have bitterly grieved him, Shot at him and hated him. But his bow remained in strength, And the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the Mighty God of Jacob." Gen. 49:22-24 nkjv

The truth of the Scriptures came to Joseph via his dad and in some dreams and he must have mused on those truths day and night cuz... God made him successful and fruitful (See and compare with Psalm 1).
Joseph was sold into Egypt at age 17 (Jacob would gain 17 years after he sees him again) and Joseph died at the age of 110 years. It was before his death he made his brothers promise him, to take his bones out of Egypt when they would move out.  That was him talking in faith. Jacob did that too.

It happened. Moses took Joseph's bones up with him when he led the Israelites out of Egypt.  God used a humble slave to bring the Hebrews into Egypt and a humble servant to bring them out... 400 years were they there. How is your calculations? Here's mine. Joseph started working for the Pharaoh as Prime Minister (ministering to people) when he was 30 years old (see Genesis 41:46).

This was also the beginning of the seven years of abundance. So the famine started when he was about 37 (he was 39 when he revealed himself to his brothers. That's the number of "mercy"), and ended when he was 44 years old. He died at age 110.

We know that Jacob came to Egypt, when he was 130 years old (Genesis 47:9) which would be year 2236. This was during the seven years of the famine, probably just about in the middle (Joseph's brothers had come down to Egypt twice and waited a while between that - Genesis 42/43).  So we can confidently assume, that Joseph was ca. 41 years old, when Jacob came down to Egypt. This would mean, Joseph was born in 2195 and died in 2305. It's interesting that Jacob said he was ready to die after seeing his son Joseph again, but God gave him 17 years in Egypt (in the will of God).
