"Only the lonely know the way I feel tonight.. Only the lonely know the heartaches I’ve been through." ~ Roy Orbison

Christmas is almost here and what have you been wantin'?  Got some feelings of loneliness this time of year?

What are you going to do with em?  Many people try to drink or smoke em away.

Yes, many people feel lonely ..especially during the holiday season.  I hate that, and I feel for them.  Been there, done that before.

May I ask you.. Is someone who was once there with you.. who meant a whole lot to you.. not there with you any more?  So sorry!  There is Someone there for you this year

A new Harvard study came out to show us how many Americans often feel lonely as of late.

The study shows us that 36 percent of Americans feel significantly alone and lonely almost all the time (here).  ALMOST ALL THE TIME!

Hey no cliché here, but it’s Christmas time and God is still love and He’s SO there for you.  Right now.  Where you are, and He gets it.  He can meet every need, just believe!  The Bible says...

"So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying: 'Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,' which is translated, 'God with us.'” Matthew 1:22-23 nkjv

You know there are a lot of names for Christ, but here’s a name for Him that I like a whole lot!  I really love Immanuel more than so many names!

Who feels lonely at times?  Perhaps everyone.  Even famous people aren’t exempt from sadness, from loneliness and from emptiness—they are human, just like us.  They are not super-human, they are just like us.

The only difference is “they just happen to have the money, fame and luxurious lifestyles many dream of having — except they get to experience firsthand just how empty it all is.”

One doctor named Robin Smith wrote a book called "Hungry: The Truth about being Full," and in it she writes about those who feel a loneliness, a void, an emptiness in their lives after experiencing success.  She calls it being "hungry for the high note."

She goes on to write about the early deaths of Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston back in the day.  "People say that drugs killed them.  Drugs didn't Kill them.  What killed them is they were striving and hungry. They were striving to 'Hit the high note again.'" People hate to feel lonely, empty, broken, or like some has-been. Jesus understands!

“As a society, we do little to support emerging adults at precisely the time when they are dealing with the most defining, stressful decisions of their lives related to work, love, and identity. Who to love? What to be?” ~ Loneliness in America

Among American adults today, 36% (of respondents) reported serious loneliness—feeling lonely “frequently” or “almost all the time or all the time..” This included 61% of young people aged 18-25 and 51% of mothers with young children.

43% of young adults reported increases in loneliness since the outbreak of the pandemic. About half of lonely young adults in our survey reported that no one in the past few weeks had “taken more than just a few minutes” to ask how they are doing in a way that made them feel like the person “genuinely cared.”

Young adults suffer high rates of both loneliness and anxiety and depression. According to a recent CDC survey, 63% of this age group are suffering significant symptoms of anxiety or depression.

Again, this fairly new report suggests that 36% of all Americans—including 61% of young adults and 51% of mothers with young children—feel “serious loneliness.  Not surprisingly, loneliness appears to have increased substantially since the outbreak of the global pandemic.”

You also know there are many types of loneliness today, and various causes of loneliness, and the potentially steep costs of loneliness seems to be rising higher.. including early mortality and a wide array of serious physical and emotional problems, including depression, anxiety, heart disease, substance abuse, and domestic abuse.  This doesn't need to happen at all. Please don’t abuse yourself or any other human ..never ever, not even if they are still in the womb!

Listen, you can be a part of the problem today, or you can be a part of the Solution today.. in Christ (this world's ulitmate Soluiton).  He loves all sinners like me, and He can forgive any sin we've committed.

So which will you choose?  What do I say?  I say get your name on the roll, and be on the rock -- build others up every day!  Believers can help to build up our physical and our social infrastructure (with zero racism) too.. at every level in our communities ..if there is a willingness to build together.

For decades small groups have been so important to Liney and I against loneliness etc.  Even now more than before.  I'm not takin' about religious groups or ones based on downer-problems, or 12 steps (which might be good steps), or on personal opinions, but on what’s really so and very edifying for all.  Believer, you have a story to tell that can help others -- yes, there are those who need to hear it.  There are people who need to hear the Gospel story!  It's imperative. Let's build up instead of tear down.. one by one by one.  Let's build upon true words and sound principles (in the Bible), and upon viable solutions from God that'll last -- that go the distance for all kinds of people everywhere.

We each have a part to play so to speak. We each can do something to restore our commitments to Him, to His Church, to each other and to the common good in this country.. even to those citizens who are vulnerable.

This Loneliness in America: How the Pandemic Has Deepened an Epidemic of Loneliness and What We Can Do About It report is based on an online survey of approximately 950 Americans in October 2020.

“The Lord, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed.” Deuteronomy 31:8

Years ago, Roy Orbison recorded one of the great rock n roll classics, entitled, "Only the Lonely."

Remember it?  A couple of the lines from the song go, "Only the lonely know the way I feel tonight.. Only the lonely know the heartaches I’ve been through."

Have you ever heard it?  What do you think about that song?  Did it resonate with you any?  That song did with a lot of lonely people who knew what it was like to feel isolated (even with certain people), rejected, or abandoned by those who shouldn’t ever abandon.

Have you been palmed in the face so to speak, or ditched, pushed, or straight-armed?  Do you have puffed up, smug, impudent sons or daughters that have done that to you or to other family members, though you’ve raised them never to do that?

Perhaps it’s because of your sound stance on Conservative values and principles, or because of your sound spiritual beliefs that they do that.  The world and the worldly (including dead-inside, nominal and or stiff religious Christians) have never been fans for those.  If the world hates you, guess who it really hated first?  So don’t take it so personal.  If it’s due your your selfish words or stupid acts that they ditched you.. then please learn from that.  Did they tell you multiple times that they hold to the same good stances as you do in those areas but then suddenly their choices totally betray their professions?  There’s a name for that and you’re really not the first one to be blindsided.  Christ was as well by those who played HIs friends.

“He was despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and as one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not.” Isaiah 53:3

And yet Jesus chose to love His enemies.  We can prayerfully do that too.. by His power.  This agape love starts on two knees so to speak.

Jesus said, “This is My command to you: Love one another. If the world hates you, understand that it hated Me first. If you were of the world, it would love you as its own. Instead, the world hates you, because you are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. Remember the word that I spoke to you: ‘No servant is greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will persecute you as well; if they kept My word, they will keep yours as well.”  John 15:18

Maybe you’ve been intentionally forgotten or abandoned this year and it’s due to their excuses regarding Covid 19—perhaps it was by your parents, once close friends, your spouse, or your children.  Or maybe someone you loved and had high-hopes for died of Covid or some related complication?  Liney and I just found out yesterday evening that our second son was killed by Covid 19.  Yeah, it took almost five months for the authorities to figure that out.  I guess there’s a backlog.

So, perhaps you feel that you’ve been abandoned by loved ones.. or even from God Himself.  Is that the case, or at least it seems that way?  Are you lonely during these holidays?  What will you do about that, run farther away from God and His Church (your forever-family of real believers), or run closer to Him and them?

There are many people who feel estranged and alienated from God today.  Some really bad things have happened in their lives and they wonder how a God of Love could even allow that.

Even the people who seem to have everything they want in life, with apparently zero lack.. they may still face a deep, nagging, inner loneliness.

We read in John five of this lone dude at the pool of Bethesda in Israel who was in a seemingly hopeless situation, but he wanted to hope again.  He didn't want to be lonely, yet he'd been literally abandoned.

He wasn’t one of the outwardly beautiful, rich, or strong people of His day.  He was neglected, ignored, uncared for and pretty much unable to help himself.  What’s more, it would appear that he’d been in that type condition for many long, emotionally painful, weary years.  Sure, can you imagine.. he must have felt forgotten and desperately lonely inside.

But then Jesus Christ came along and changed this man’s life for good.  The forgotten man wasn't forgotten (by God) and he was never the same again.  It’s a story that tells you and me how to change as well.  We can turn, change and be longterm-changed for good if we cooperate with the Spirit. What did Christ do at the beginning with this man?  Well, initially before this big transformation with a personal healing were delivered to this man, Jesus first asked him a very pointed question: "Do you want to be made well?"

What kind of question is that, Lord?  Well, think about it.. many people really don’t want to be made well.  Perhaps they like the Government hand-outs and other benefits that come from how they are.. or maybe there are other reasons too?  Perhaps they get really used to being that way.. too used to it.

What if Jesus asked you something like that same question?  Do you really deep-down want to be made well.. or whole by God?  May I be so bold to ask you.. Is there something in you that needs a touch, a healing, restoration, or needs changing in your life?

What do you feel you really need to make you happy?

Freebee Gifts and Earthy Governments Don't Make it Go Away.

Loneliness Doesn't Go Away by Adding in Another Idol During a Holiday.. or With "a Fling", or With Another Shiny Thing or With an Affair.  Nope, but Many Don’t.. Won't Believe This.  Stuborn, Bullheaded, I was That Way.  They Think It'll All Go Away.. that Way instead of His Way.

Jesus is God' the Father's Good Way for you and me.

"There is nothing new under the sun."  Think about King Solomon a sec.  He is the one who said that verse long ago.  Remember when he went on a wild binge to personally experience every pleasure this world had to offer people.  Solomon a party-animal lived in the fast lane and a luxurious palace, with servants, expansive gardens and everything that a King of his day could ever long for. Desires, He went after them.  He had women at his beck n call and more wine n grub than a high-profile foodie could take in during a whole lifetime. He had it all, and yet.. he had nothing.  He was lonely, empty and brokenhearted.  Please ask for God's wisdom like he did!  Wise old King Solomon summed it up this way: "Everything is meaningless!" (Eccl. 1:2)

The word for meaningless that Solomon voiced can be translated as emptiness, futility, meaninglessness, nothingness or simply a "bubble that bursts!"  Is that a photograph of your life?

That is where Jesus (God the Son, fully God and fully man) comes in.  King Solomon was raised up to have faith actually, but he abandoned a life of faith for a long time.  Too long.  He'd taken a long stride from His Master’s side.  Lonely midlife crisis?.. you can ask him one day if you like.  Then after realizing that this world system had nothing satisfyingly good to offer him, he simply returned to the Lord in the end.  Great idea!  You can turn, trust and come back to the Lord as well.. or you can do that coming to Him for the first time today.  He forgive and gives second chances.  He also gives free re-fills, believer.

We tend to think like empty ole Solomon did.  We think we have all the things we want in this world to make us happy, and then we find ourselves like many lonely hurting celebrities find themselves: We’re searching (desperately), so sadly, so empty, so lonely, so down, and ultimately, completely unfulfilled with the lives we are living. Our own BEST choices have brought us to where we are -- we need a smarter Lord to save, to comfort, to provide for, to fellowship with, and to guide us daily.

Hey Sport, when the outlook ain’t so good, try the uplook!

Don’t wait another day! Read through the Bible prayerfully.  It is full of broken, lonely, heartbroken people, but it is also full of hope, love and the Good News Message of Jesus Christ. I believe that through a relationship with Christ, you can find peace, comfort, fulfillment, contentment and an abundant life -- life everlasting.  If you are feeling despondent enough to take your own life, please don’t act selfishly. Reach up to Him.

Do you want to be made well?  On every level.. really?  What do you live for.. what do you dream about or talk about the most?  Is it about gaining that next house or car or computer game or vacation?

Maybe it’s an addiction you have to a certain vice or certain lifestyle that you are totally trapped in.  Maybe it’s something you’ve tried to shake time and time again.  Man, this is emotional.  Or maybe it’s an old hatred, grudge, or resentment, that you’ve nurtured and nursed along over the months or years and it’s becoming more and more toxic with the passing of time.  What is it with you? Got an idol to bow down to so to speak?  Is it your spouse, boyfriend or girlfriend?  Is it your boss or job?

Christ enter the scene and turned the course of this man’s life around forever, giving the man an ability to live a life free from loneliness and the power of sin. He could now walk in spiritual victory with JOY unspeakable and full of glory.  He was forgiven and could now enjoy heart to heart fellowship with his Father God who made Him and has a good plan.

We too can live that life of victory—we can enjoy the ability to break old habits, old strongholds, old bondages and to forgive old fools who reject.  Those who are so tactless and rude and repeatedly hurts others without often knowing it. We can let go of old resentments that they should get it but refuse to.  Jesus is the friends that sticks closer than a brother or son.

He has all the transforming resurrection power that we each need, the unction to properly function, the Holy Spirit’s anointing to overcome.  But guess what, we must "want to be made well" by Him. Hey Ace, come as you are.. to Him today.

I'm feelin' thankful today 12/21 for Christ's incarnation. The incarnation is when the one true God came down, took on human flesh here on earth.  It happened and now since Jesus has been physically raised from the dead then guess what.. He is not merely some spirit floating around out there. He is fully human and understands what you and I are going through.

Not too long ago there was this Jewish man named Larry King.  He was always on TV interviewing people, infact more people than I can even count. Well, Larry was once asked.. what is the one question you would love to ask and have answered by God?  Yes, what would that question be, and Larry responded with: “God, do you have a son?”

Would that be your question too?  God indeed as a Son and His name is Immanuel a.k.a. Jesus Christ who loves you and has a good plan.

What does Immanuel mean? ..and why this name, Immanuel

How did Jesus bring joy to the world?

What’s the Identity of JesusIs the deity of Christ biblical? Did he have a last name?

If His name was Yeshua, why do we call Him Jesus?

Got some Jewish questions and about Jesus or Judaism?

What does it mean that Christ was despised and rejected of men (Isaiah 53:3)?

Got some questions about the Jesus Christ of the Bible? That’s the Person you and I want to know!

What does it mean that Jesus is God with us?

Is Jesus really God in the flesh? Why is that even important that Jesus is God in the flesh?

Why wasn’t Jesus named Immanuel by Mary and Joseph? If Immanuel (Emmanuel) was to be the name of the promised Messiah, why was His Name in that family “Jesus” instead of Immanuel? (Photos above by Sara Rolin and Kyle Johnson) Fish4souls.org

Now I have resurrection power living on the inside

Jesus, You have given us freedom from loneliness!
I'm no longer bound by sin and darkness
Living in the light of Your goodness
You have given us freedom from loneliness!
Freedom, You have given us freedom
You have given us freedom, my chains are gone
Freedom, You have given us freedom
You have given us freedom, hallelujah
Freedom, You have given us freedom
You have given us freedom, my chains are gone
Freedom, You have given us freedom from loneliness!
You have given us freedom, hallelujah
Now I have resurrection power living on the inside
Now, I'm no longer bound by sin and darkness
Living in the light of Your goodness

You have given us freedom from all loneliness!

Let it fly real high.. that flag!

No silly, I don’t mean when you’re high. I mean when you're done with lame livin'. I mean there is a high so to speak.. that’s far better than some drug or drink kinda high. Been there, done that. I know and wanna show.

I'm talking about life in relationship with the Most High.

Been a weird time here this 2020, a year of chaos, of anxieties, rioting, looting.. a time of false news, of confusion, of fears, of small people and businesses sadly dying off, and of political rangeling (and I’ve done my fair share of that. Hah!). It’s time now to experience firsthand the power of the Most High..for a purpose. Yep, His purpose for you.

I slept and dreamt that life was joy. I was born -- I awoke and saw that life was service in the Son. Twice born, not always easy to explain. I acted and behold, service was JOY, but not just service the waiting time is too. There’s JOY in Jesus.

When I lived in Europe I would sometimes take a train through the Principality of Liechtenstein (auf Deutsch/German das ist: Fürstentum) and when the flag was up flying in the sky the king of Liechtenstein was in residence there. So, how can people passin’ through tell if the King of kings is at residence in you and me? Real JOY!

Joy is the flag flown high
From the castle of my heart
From the castle of my heart
From the castle of my heart
Joy is the flag flown high
From the castle of my heart
When the King is in residence there

So let it fly in the sky (everywhere you go)
Let the whole world know
Let the whole world know
Let the whole world know
(So) let it fly in the sky
Let the whole world know
That the King is in residence there.

Like The Sun You Can Rise Again. Like The Son You Can Be Live Filled With Joy, And You Can Be Physically Resurrected Too.

He Wants To Be Trusted, Worshipped, Known, Followed And Enjoyed As Well. That’s Abundant Life. Fellowship And Eternal Life Can Begin Now And Be Enjoyed Non-Stop. Sin Doesn’t Need To Mess It Up.

If you can’t remember the very day that you were born again spiritually, then you probably haven’t been. Some don’t remember the day, but most do. Come to Christ as you are.. as you are and willing to be changed.. willing to cooperate with His Holy Spirit working within you.

Let’s get that nailed down in your mind and heart -- this assurance of free and full forgiveness. Turn, trust and ask for this cleansing. He will forgive you today. The Bible says...

"Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. 13I have written these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life. And this is the confidence that we have before Him: If we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.." 1 John 5:12-14

“Sometimes,' said Pooh, 'the smallest things take up the most room in your heart.” ― A.A. Milne

Let Christ in, turn, trust and in invite Him in instead.

Remember how the Jews asked Jesus about this new liberty.. “’We are Abraham’s descendants’...“We have never been slaves to anyone. How can You say we will be set free?’ Jesus replied, ‘Truly, truly, I tell you, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. A slave is not a permanent member of the family, but a son belongs to it forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed." John 8:33-36

image

"But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God." John 1:12-13

When your passion for the Lord becomes greater than your passion for sin.. even for some beloved pet sin..then you will glorify God and experience JOY in the Son!

Are you a happy person? Admit to God that you're a sinner and put your faith in Jesus as your Savior. God has promised to meet our every need, so why look to this corrupt world to do that? Look away to Him!

I'm talking about salvation, justification and sanctification here. I'm talking about the Jesus of the Bible who rose from the dead and was seen by over 500 eyewitnesses! Have you been depressed or down without hope? Have you experienced being bored, down, sad or unhappy? Let's see that fixed in this New Year.. even now. See ya 2020 and 2021 is now upon us.

image

Come as ya are. Now is good. Don’t put it off until later cuz it’s the most important decision that you’ll ever make. He frees. He made me loathe what I used to love, and love what I used to loathe (worship, prayer, the Bible etc.) -- man, wish I could adequately describe this JOY of fellowship that I feel inside! Come to..come back to Him now. He's the God of second chances and He'll give you a second chance in Christ.

It doesn't matter what you started last year and somehow failed to accomplish, you can start over. Need a second chance? He's called the start over God.

In 2020, though God didn't create Covid or any sickness or disease.. it's kinda like God has hit the pause button so we can pause and start over again. So we can get right. Yes, our God is a start over God. He made this world so that every 24 hours we start a new day. And every seven days we start a new week and every 4 or 5 weeks we start a new month, and every 365 days we start a new year. God could have run all that time together without any breaks for us to really pause and think, but He didn't do that. Jesus came into this world so that we could start over clean. And when we follow this Jesus Christ the Bible.. old things pass away and behold all things become new in Him. This could be your defining moment as we start a new year.. when you start over filled with JOY totally forgiven.

"Just so, I tell you, there is joy before the angels of God over one sinner who repents." Luke 15:10

You can start over, have a second chance at life. You too can experience real joy. Ongong. Is it always easy without any suffering this righteous life -- you know, like some cake walk whatever that is? Nope, but there's no better life.

"My lips will shout for joy, when I sing praises to you; my soul also, which you have redeemed." Psalm 71:23

"Looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God." Hebrews 12:2

"More than that, we also reJOYice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation." Romans 5:11 #emph.mine

Have you been caught up in the frenzy of the lights of the season and can't see the Light of the world? Christ. Why be lost in the frenetic frenzy, distractions, busyness and fatigue?

Happiness often is based on what is happening around us. When bad things are happening we say we are unhappy, and when good things are happening we say we're happy.

It's been said.. there are two major reasons for unhappiness in this world today.

- One of them is not getting what you want...

- And the other one is getting what you want.

Turn trust believe..invite Christ in and let him be Lord. The promises of God found in the Bible are not for underlining (though that's what I like to do, not a bad thing), they are for believing. For God so loved the world that He gave us His sinless Son.

Other temporal things, people, and activities can't fill that hollow void in your heart to satisfy you. Let God fill that hungry vacuum in your life.

Happy are the people who sins are forgiven.

Here are 10 steps for not stressin' this Christmas.

Am feelin’ grateful for Christmas. Yeah, even during these crazy times.

Remember, even in the darkest of times...God has stepped in before. I pray he will again for you and our Land.

Check it out in history. Do you remember how bad in was back then during the first Christmas? Was bad!

Such a small man, the leader Herod had so strategized -- he had planned to make the Magi tell him of the exact whereabouts of the Christ child... cuz he wanted to kill Him. Wanted to always remain in power -- didn’t have Dominion or SmartMatic. And He killed others in an effort to kill Jesus.

Then Herod, when he saw that he had been tricked by the wise men, became furious, and he sent and killed all the male children in Bethlehem and in all that region who were two years old or under, according to the time that he had ascertained from the wise men. Then was fulfilled what was spoken by the prophet Jeremiah: ‘A voice was heard in Ramah,
   weeping and loud lamentation,
Rachel weeping for her children;
she refused to be comforted, because they are no more.”
Matthew 2:16-18

God’s Son stepped in. God’s pure Light will, and has stepped into the darkness of this corrupt world around us. In the chaos and confusion of this world, many people are lonely and afraid. God is near. Emmanuel is close to you -- confess Him as Lord.

“But what does it say? ‘The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,” that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming: that if you confess with your mouth,Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with your heart you believe and are justified, and with your mouth you confess and are saved..’” Romans 10: 8-10

In our dark time, He is SO there for you. God brings Light into the darkness, and He’ll make all things brand new.

Through Him (Jesus) all things were made, and without Him nothing was made that has been made. In Him was life, and that life was the light of men. The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. John 1:3-5b

“And this is the verdict: The Light has come into the world, but men loved the darkness rather than the Light, because their deeds were evil.” John 3:19

“Once again, Jesus spoke to the people and said, ‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will never walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life.’" John 8:12

“While I am in the world, I am the light of the world."  John 9:5

“I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in Me should remain in darkness.” John 12:46

Here’s a reminder that you’ve heard before -- let’s make Christmas more about his presence than about temporal presents. If stuff that soon breaks is your main focus, you’ll be let down.

Sure, before you can enjoy the peace of God, you have to have peace with God. Many don't yet know that they’re at an enmity with God.. yes, like at war with him but they can turn, surrender and believe.

What, friendship with the world is enmity with God? How do I know if I am “being friends” with “the world?”

Does it mean that if I I am friends with people who are not Christians, then I am an enemy of God? Naww. Does it mean that I should be unpleasant, unfriendly, cold and distant towards non-believers and have a “know it all,” or “holier-than-thou” attitude in order to be God’s friend? Naww.

That’s not what James meant, although it could be interpreted like that by some religious folk, which means they can’t be allowed to shake hands with unbelievers or even share a meal together, for fear of becoming “unclean.” Hey, God ain’t religious or that way. Jesus was friend of sinners like me.

Some religious people refuse to embrace modern technology, i.e., cars and computers etc. for fear of “friendship with the world.” This leads them to live apart from and “shun” contact with most other people! Jesus said Go tell. He wants us to lovingly spend some time with sinners in order to win them to Him. He did that. Just don’t spend so much time that you are pulled back down by them into a life of sin. Don’t need that. How would you be strong, spiritually healthy and help others who are somehow at war with God ..in the future?

Since God REALLY REALLY loves people and wants to draw them back to Himself to both save and help them, such interpretations would have the opposite effect, which is to push people away. It says in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Let’s address the enmity, so we can help others to address the enmity they experience. Let’s get the Log out or our eye first so we can see the needs.

The Bible says..

“You adulterous people! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.” James 4:4

The mind of the flesh is death, but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace, 7because the mind of the flesh is hostile to God: It does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. Those controlled by the flesh cannot please God..“  Romans 8:7 6-8

Medical science promises to add years to your life, but only Christ can have life to your years. He has come that you’ll have life and life more abundantly. Eternally!

“Jesus answered, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.’“ John 14:6

“That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our own eyes, which we have gazed upon and touched with our own hands--this is the Word of life.” 1 John 1:1

“And this is the life that was revealed; we have seen it and testified to it, and we proclaim to you the eternal life that was with the Father and was revealed to us.”  1 John 1:2

“And this is that testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.” 1 John 5:11

And if the lights go out, He’s still your light, believer. Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me will live, even though he dies.” John 11:25

Has it been kinda bad where you are..or real bad and getting worse? No worries. He is there. Are you feeling lonely, empty, confused, afraid some, or kinda sad during the holidays? Listen, you don't have to be all alone this year (or any year). You can be in fellowship, and following close to Christ.. the real reason for the whole season.

You know how depression rates go up this time of year and there are reasons for that. Estranged loved ones or family members are some reasons.

Here’s are 10 steps to have a Merry Christmas (practical acts to combat sadness and depression during the holidays):

1.) Find someone that's less fortunate than you are, voice a prayer and do something kind for them just to help out.

Then steps 2 through 10: Repeat step one and give thanks for them.

Real Life, light and love for you. Sure, no matter where you live.. in the city, or at the sea, or in the forest somewhere.

Not yet, it's just too early for that. Always will be.

It's too early to get discouraged.
Yeah, tomorrow is too.

2 Corinthians 5:7 for we walk by faith, not by sight.

Galatians 6:9 And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.

Philippians 4:19 And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

1 Peter 1:6-9 In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, so that the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

Psalm 34:17-19 When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.

Psalm 147:3 He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.

Psalm 55:22 Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved.

Isaiah 41:10 fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Isaiah 40:31 but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.

Isaiah 42:16 And I will lead the blind in a way that they do not know, in paths that they have not known I will guide them. I will turn the darkness before them into light, the rough places into level ground. These are the things I do, and I do not forsake them.

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Matthew 11:28 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Romans 8:28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
