God can minister to you if you bear some scars, marks, or wounds from following Christ.

Others have had them and God ministered to them.. and through them too. Paul the Apostle says he bears “marks,” the Greek word stigmata refers to literal scars—evidence of suffering for Christ.

* Scripture confirms this clearly. Remember how Paul suffered:

- "Forty Stripes Minus One" (2 Cor 11:24): This refers to the Jewish punishment of 39 lashes (known as Malkot), designed to avoid exceeding the Deuteronomic limit of 40.
- "Beaten with Rods" (2 Cor 11:25): These were Roman beatings, which were different from the Jewish lashings, indicating persecution from Roman authorities.
- "Brand-marks" (Galatians 6:17): Paul uses the Greek term stigmata, referring to scars from beatings, torture, or hard labor that marked him as a slave of Jesus Christ

Not one time. Yeah, you saw that right: He said, “Five times I received… forty stripes minus one… three times I was beaten with rods…” (2 Corinthians 11:24–25)

And “I bear on my body the brand-marks…” (Galatians 6:17)

These were not symbolic wounds. They were physical scars on Paul's person from persecution, proof that he belonged to Christ—like a servant branded by his master in the ancient world. Read more...

What To Do With Those Trials, Pains And Times Of Suffering? Choose To Grow Stronger In Christ Through Those Adversities.

Please don't waste your suffering. Go closer to God, not farther away! Go to a healthy church, not far away from one.

Are there seasons in life when God allows it to feel a bit like hell on earth? Are there seasons when the high winds rise, the cloudy skies darken, and the soul might feel adrift in a storm? Something unexpected breaks over us, or sorrow settles in quietly, and we find ourselves hurting, crushed and wondering: Where is God now?

Why does His nearness, once so very real, now feel like a distant memory? Did we do something to drive Him away?

"Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:  13 But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.  14 If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.  15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters.  16 Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.  17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?" 1 Peter 4:12-19 kjv

Scripture calls these moments “trials,” and they are allowed into our experience. They are a normal part of the Christian life. What comes from them can be woven deeply into our own story of faith.

Please don't be a legend in your own mind. Ever run into a person who views themselves that way, as a spiritual giant and huge blessing, but in reality, they seem more like a trial ..repeatedly? The father has one Superstar, His Son. Carnal and worldly Christians can be a trial--don't let them pull you down. An arrogant lost person (religious or irreligious) can also seem like a trail too. Pray for them to get right with God. That's where love begins.. on two knees.

What does it mean that we are pressed but not crushed?

What does it mean to be perplexed but not in despair?

What does it mean to be struck down but not destroyed?

What does it mean to be persecuted but not forsaken?

How can we as believers not lose heart (2 Corinthians 4:16)?

What is the difference between a talent and a spiritual gift?

How do I first identify my spiritual gift, and then use it for God's glory?

What is the purpose of spiritual gifts?

What does it mean to stir up the gift?

How does God distribute spiritual gifts? Wisely, on purpose.

Does God sometimes use evil to accomplish His good plans?

What does the Bible say about arrogance?

What does it mean that Paul a soul-winner, made himself a servant to all?

What does it mean to be a servant of all (Mark 9:35)?

What does the Bible say about opposition or competition, like from Christians or leaders?

You know how trails can vary. Seems like when you are exiting one trial it about to enter another one.

They can be like a cloud that covers the sun sometimes. You step outside and start to think the light is all gone—but man, the sun hasn’t really moved away to make it like that. It's still warm, and the brilliance still blazes above; the cloud moved and is only hiding it for a while. In the same way, when you cannot feel God.. no worries. Feelings are fickle; they come and go. He has not vanished. He is nearer than you know. As David confessed, “Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me” (Psalm 23:4, NLT).

Do you remember your first trial as a Christian? It came just weeks after I had surrendered my life to Christ. At first, His love seemed almost tangible—peace flooded my heart daily. Then one day..what happened? No answers--too much silence. No warmth. No sense of His close presence. Kurt, you are just learning a new lesson that every believer must learn: to walk by faith, not by feelings.

God sometimes withdraws that unique sensation of His close presence so that we can grow into deeper trust and maturity. If our faith depended on fuzzy feelings or emotional highs, we’d never mature spiritually. But when we keep on walking righteously even in the dark, faith then takes root. James wrote about this, “When troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing” (James 1:2–4, NLT).

Are you a disciplined person? What disciplines do you regularly take part in physically and spiritually? Read your Bible and get alone to pray every day. Go to church and to a healthy small group -- go where you, with your gift, are helped (even if you don't know what your gift is), encouraged, celebrated, sharpened (to be more effective in helping others)..where you are edified, and uplifted rather than competed against or put down? God doesn't expect you to like weird oppressive barbs, mean jabs, or to stay where you are pushed downward. Who would stay around that? Is it a good fit? If not, there is a good fit for you to go to and grow in.

This walk is much like training the body. The first time you work out, it’s exhilarating—until the next day, when soreness happens -- muscles ache and every movement hurts.

Over time, though, strength builds. You lift up heavier weights, you endure a bit longer in those runs, and discover capacities you didn’t know you had. God allows trials in this Christian life to strengthen the soul in the same way. Sow to the spirit in the Word. There is no spiritual growth independent from the living word of God. Trials make us decide -- go closer to Christ, not away from Him. They stretch us, hurt us, even sort of crush and break us—but they also forge endurance and deepen our character. There are there not so you get proud, but so you will walk humbly with the Lord, depending more upon Him.

God often hides treasures in the shadows. “I will give you hidden treasures, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the Lord” (Isaiah 45:3, NIV). Those dark valleys we dread can yield some wisdom for you with resilience, and intimacy with Him that bright daylight never could. Ask for this godly wisdom and learn from Him.

Yet many believers are startled to learn that following Christ is not a supereasy stroll through a flower garden but a march across a battlefield.

Temptation and testing, these too, are part of this journey. “Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him” (James 1:12, NIV).

He is real and we can be real (honest) as well. We can be real honest with Him--He understands. Temptation exposes what is real. Run to Him and He'll give you victory.

These can either pull us away if we let them—or can drive us closer to Him and His church. Those who truly belong to Christ may stumble some. If you fall, get back up. Stumblings don't mean that you must stay down. Get up and walk closer with Jesus.

Christians confess, repent, and rise. We keep walking in the Word.

The truth is, every trial is an opportunity. They are an invitation. The trail calls us to cling onto Him tightly, more and more tightly onto the Word.. to trust when we cannot see or fully understand.. to mature beyond feelings into strong faith in Jesus. And through it all, no matter the decent or carnal Christians or leaders around you.. His purpose never changes: to give us “life, and life more abundantly” (John 10:10 see context). This is not speaking merely of the promise of heaven to come, but of a life of depth, strength, and joy even here and now—shaped in the valleys, refined in the storms, and crowned in the presence of the One who never left or forsook us.

Has God allowed some sufferings into your life lately? You know some pain, hurt, brokenness, or troubles into your life, believer? Think the trials not strange, okay, and please don't waste those.

Be encouraged in the Lord cuz He does have a good plan. Keep on praying in full dependence upon Him, with his wise guidance.

Ever ask how God can use those sufferings through various trials?..or how all that can be related to godly-character-development and simply being used of the Lord when you're a reborn spiritual Christian, that is praying.. instead of a carnal Christian, nominal Christian or worldly Christian?

"When God wants to do an impossible task He takes an impossible man and crushes him." ~ Alan Redpath

"It is doubtful whether God can bless a man greatly until He has hurt him deeply". ~ A.W. Tozer

This sentiment suggests that deep spiritual and personal trials, rather than personal strength, prepare individuals to be used significantly by God, leading to spiritual growth, resilience, and a surrendered heart that is more receptive to divine purposes.

- The "Blessing" of Pain: We don't seek it, don't have to. The "hurt" of the trial is not punitive but a form of spiritual refinement, a process to break down self-reliance, Self-Focus self-confidence, and cultivate total dependence on God.

- Spiritual Preparation: Just as gold, silver, and diamonds are shaped and refined by fire, individuals are transformed through adversity to become precious and valuable in God's service.

- Humility and Surrender: Through suffering, individuals can become more humble, less self-sufficient, and thus more open to God's will, which is essential for experiencing deeper divine work.

- "Graduate-Level Grace": Tozer also suggested that such experiences can lead to a higher level of grace, enabling believers to perform "graduate-level" spiritual tasks, such as loving enemies or serving others with true humility.

Suffering is just better than sinning - now I'm not really wanting either. You weren't either, are you? Let's be the center of God's will regardless if there's some suffering.

"There is more evil in a drop of sin than in an ocean of affliction. Better to burn for Christ than turn from Christ." ~ Charles Haddon Spurgeon

When the Lord tests his servants, guess what, He wants to see us pass the test. He already knows what's in each one of us, but He wants us to also realize what's in us too and how to walk in righteousness.

Most people who come to God do so after experiencing troubles, addictions, failures, weaknesses, disappointments, rejections, sickness, disease, accidents, and the tough problems of this life.

"It's the goodness of God that leads us to repentance," comes from Romans 2:4 and means that
Instead of being forced, individuals are "led" to repent by this gracious demonstration of God's love, mercy, and desire for everyone to be saved. God's kindness, grace, and patient withholding of judgment for sins make people aware of their sinfulness and soften their hearts toward turning away from evil and toward Him.

How God's Goodness Leads to Repentance
  • Kindness and Grace:
God's goodness is often seen in His kindness and grace, which He extends to people even when they do not deserve it. This kindness shows them that God is merciful and willing to forgive.
  • Patience and Forbearance:
God is also patient and forbearing, giving sinners time and space to repent instead of rendering immediate judgment. This tolerance and patience allow for a realization of one's wrong, leading to a change of heart.
  • Consequences:
Recognizing God's persistent goodness and mercy, rather than the fear of punishment, is meant to prompt a desire to turn from sin and receive His forgiveness. This leads to a true, heartfelt repentance, not just a superficial attempt to hide sin.
  • What Repentance Entails
  • Turning from Sin:
True repentance involves a genuine turning away from sin with finality and a commitment to forsake destructive desires.
  • Seeking God's Forgiveness:
The goal of repentance is to receive the cleansing forgiveness that God offers.

* God Is So Committed To You, Believer, But He Sometimes Prepares His Servants Through Some Hard Suffering.

1. Trials refine and prove faith:

  • “The Lord tests the righteous.” — Psalm 11:5

  • “For You, O God, have tested us; You have refined us as silver is refined… You brought us into the net… yet You brought us out to rich fulfillment.” — Psalm 66:10–12

  • “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.” — James 1:2–3

2. God can utilize the pain. He through suffering can shape good character and make us useful if we're willing:

  • “We rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope.” — Romans 5:3–4

  • “After you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace… will Himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.” — 1 Peter 5:10

  • “It was good for me to be afflicted so that I might learn your decrees.” — Psalm 119:71

3. Brokenness is the pathway to God’s power:

  • “Unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain.” — John 12:24

  • “The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.” — Psalm 51:17

  • “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.” — 2 Corinthians 12:9

* What Have Christian Leaders Said?

A.W. Tozer:

“It is doubtful whether God can bless a man greatly until He has hurt him deeply.”

Charles Spurgeon:

“I am certain that I never did grow in grace one-half so much anywhere as I have upon the bed of pain.”

Oswald Chambers:

“We are not made for the mountains, for sunrises, or for the other beautiful attractions in life — those are simply intended to be moments of inspiration. We are made for the valley and the ordinary stuff of life, and that is where we have to prove our stamina and strength.”

Hudson Taylor:

“All God’s giants have been weak men who did great things for God because they reckoned on His being with them.”

Amy Carmichael:

“No wound? No scar? Yet, as the Master shall the servant be, and pierced are the feet that follow Me. But yours are whole — can he have followed far who has no wound nor scar?”

Joni Eareckson Tada:

“God permits what He hates to accomplish what He loves.”

Watchman Nee:

“The brokenness of the outward man is the basic requirement for the release of the Spirit. Without brokenness, the Spirit is imprisoned within.”

John Piper:

“God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him in the midst of suffering.”

* Why All This Matters for the Reborn vs. Carnal Christian

  • The nominal or worldly Christian runs from suffering, seeing it as failure or abandonment. Their faith often stays shallow, brittle, and self-centered.

  • The reborn, spiritual Christian learns to embrace God’s refining fire. They see trials not as punishment but as preparation — not as cruelty but as craftsmanship.

  • As Paul says, “Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day… preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison.” — 2 Corinthians 4:16–17

God is not merely interested in making us happy — He is committed to making us holy. Before He entrusts us with influence, He often empties us of pride. Before He gives us power, He gives us pain. And before He uses us for His purposes, He often takes us through a wilderness where only His grace can sustain us.

Prayer is how we cling to God when everything else is falling apart. It’s not just asking for relief — it’s where we meet Him in the fire. David cried out “In my distress I called upon the Lord… He heard my voice” (Psalm 18:6). Jesus Himself “offered up prayers and supplications, with loud cries and tears” (Hebrews 5:7) — and through that obedience, “He was made perfect” (Hebrews 5:8–9). Trials teach us dependence, and dependence is the soil where deep character grows.

Worship in suffering isn’t denial — it’s defiance. It’s refusing to let sorrow become our master. Paul and Silas sang hymns in prison (Acts 16:25) not because they felt strong, but because they knew He was still worthy. Worship turns wounds into altars. It teaches humility, patience, and trust — the raw materials of godly character.

Often, God doesn’t remove the storm immediately — He uses it to refine the heart. As we pray and worship, He softens bitterness into compassion, turns pride into surrender, and reshapes selfishness into service. Isaiah 40:31 says, “They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength…” — that renewal happens in prayerful waiting and worshipful surrender.

A Christian shaped by suffering without prayer often emerges hardened or cynical. A Christian shaped by suffering with prayer and worship emerges humble, tender, wise — and usable. Moses learned dependence in the wilderness. David’s psalms in caves became his preparation for the throne. Even Jesus, “after He had suffered,” became the source of eternal salvation (Hebrews 5:9).

Prayer keeps us rooted. Worship keeps us oriented. Together, they turn trials into training grounds, shape us into Christ’s likeness, and make us vessels through which His strength flows to others.

Would you like me to pair this with quotes from great Christians on prayer and suffering, too? (They make this truth hit even deeper.)

Prayer and worship aren’t side practices to get through hard times — they’re the lifeline that turns suffering into sanctification and pain into purpose. Without them, trials can make us bitter; with them, they make us better — humbler, holier, and ready to be used by God.

“I have learned more about God in the furnace of affliction than I ever learned in the classroom of ease.” — Charles Spurgeon

“To worship God when you are in pain is the purest form of faith.” — A.W. Tozer

“Prayer does not change God, but it changes him who prays.” — Søren Kierkegaard

“The highest form of worship is to trust God in the dark.” — Joni Eareckson Tada

God.. with your ongoing obedience in prayer, good attitudes, wise actions.. He can keep you anchored and growing in the living Word. Worship keeps you Him oriented--focused on Jesus. Together, they are how God the Father can turn your trials into training grounds and sufferers into servants — vessels fit for His glory and ready for His call.

* Man, can I cap all this?

God expects faithfulness and fruitfulness from you and me. Ask Him to use you, but know that every person that God has used in a mighty way was first shaped by Him in a furnace so to speak of trouble, trail and affliction. Suffering wasn’t a detour — it was the preparation ground for their destiny. Their pain became the platform for God’s power.

“God uses broken things. It takes broken soil to produce a crop, broken clouds to give rain, broken grain to give bread, and broken lives to give His power.” — Vance Havner

Are we supposed to count it all joy even when in a storm, in times of testing, or in a hard-core trial? (See James 1:2)? Uhh yep, we must evaluate these difficulties in life with eyes of faith and see them in light of Christ’s good purpose for us.

1.) What are the protecting storms? That’s the kind of storm the disciples experienced on the Sea of Galilee (this time from a real storm out in nature).

Remember the time after Jesus performed His most popular miracle to date: Free lunch, the feeding of the five thousand. The people really loved that miracle. Raising people from the dead?--Jesus did that! So wonderfully-awesome. Restoring the sight and hearing to people?..Jesus also pulled those off to help people He deeply cared about (He still cares about us all). That indeed was very incredible. But free munchies at lunchtime? Wow, now we’re really talking! Why do we seem to like good grub so much?

Then the crowd wanted to make Jesus king by force. So Jesus said to His disciples, basically in effect, “Hey gang, go get into the boat. We’re headed out of here and just in time.”

He has a perfect time for everything, so Jesus delivered His disciples from what would have been a lot of adulation etc, which would have created a lot of problems for many. So they went through a protective storm--it was God's will for them.

2.) What are the correcting storms? They are used to correct us. Ever caused yourself some challenges by personal sin, or from say from forgetting something important, or from missing something imperative after you causally aimed for it? Forget not to pray for, and then act (do your part only) regarding what you need.

We basically bring these types of tough storms upon ourselves and reap the consequences of our actions. Jonah bailed out. Remember the great fish and the small worm? Jonah ran the other way from His calling. Perhaps you've run away from Jesus and what he has for you?

Jonah didn't like the people he was called to minister to because they were very cruel sinners. Many hated those killers. So he was in a corrective storm. It was his fault. He brought it upon himself.

God gave Jonah a second chance and then the greatest awakening of all history.

Please never try to run away from God and His specific will for you. He delights to use and bless you. Instead, sprint to Jesus. God is there for ya. And if you need a second chance cuz you fell flat on your face, then why don’t you simply ask for one. Ask for forgiveness and forgive people in your heart. God's grace is amazing!

3.) What are the perfecting storms that come from the tough trials of life? It can be from emotional hardships in life that come from other types of hardships ..cuz face it, this life here can get hard quick. I mean these are from tough trials and opposition that God allows in our way, for us to go through for growth and learning sake. Sometimes these events seem so random too, but they never are. God has a plan. He loves us too much to leave us the way we are. Father knows best and wants us all to grow up having balanced spiritual maturity.

Jesus said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you” (Hebrews 13:5 nkjv).

In Romans 8:28 the Bible says that “all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose” (nkjv).

A perfecting storm, Kurt, what's that one more time? This is when God allows hardships into our lives to make us stronger spiritually. We can profit from trials. Sometimes we do profit earlier and sometimes we foolishly opt to gain from them later if we are thick-headed and stubborn. Job went through a perfecting storm--he and others got SO blessed when he simply chose to go do what God told him to do.

The Bible says, “When your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing” (James 1:3–4 nlt).

"Then Jonah prayed to his God from the belly of the fish. He prayed: “In trouble, deep trouble, I prayed to GOD. He answered me. From the belly of the grave I cried, ‘Help!’ You heard my cry. You threw me into ocean’s depths, into a watery grave, With ocean waves, ocean breakers crashing over me. I said, ‘I’ve been thrown away, thrown out, out of your sight. I’ll never again lay eyes on your Holy Temple.’ Ocean gripped me by the throat. The ancient Abyss grabbed me and held tight. My head was all tangled in seaweed at the bottom of the sea where the mountains take root. I was as far down as a body can go, and the gates were slamming shut behind me forever—Yet you pulled me up from that grave alive, O GOD, my God! When my life was slipping away, I remembered GOD, And my prayer got through to you, made it all the way to your Holy Temple. Those who worship hollow gods, god-frauds, walk away from their only true love. But I’m worshiping you, GOD, calling out in thanksgiving! And I’ll do what I promised I’d do! Salvation belongs to GOD!” Jonah 2:1-9 msg

In Jonah chapter 2 the Bible says, “The Lord spoke to the fish, and it vomited Jonah onto dry land” (verse 10). The big fish hurled. It barfed the believer, launched its lunch, puked up the prophet. The whale basically cruised on up to the shoreline and regurgitated Jonah onto the sand and gravel. I've had that happen at Salt Creek beach before minus the whale.

"Then the Lord ordered the fish to spit Jonah out onto the beach." Jonah 2:10 nlt

God is compassionate and once again called out to Jonah to go bring His message to the people of Nineveh and it happened. This time Jonah obeyed. What has God asked you to go do? He's asked us all to be involved in His Great Commission. Do we keep His Greatest and 2nd Great Commandments?

Jonah finally got around to applying the Word of God.. to obeying the Lord in order to become a blessing for that people. Man, a little bit of obedience before the Lord sure can bring in a whole lot of blessing for others! He does that, and we willingly listen up.

Then probably the greatest spiritual awakening in all of human history took place there.

Jonah had been losing hope (see Jonah 2:7) but the God of hope helped him through.

We live in a collapsing culture today. I think a lot of people in our world are starting to lose hope. God's living word is His will for you--He's our living hope.

The lonely hopelessness all around us--this according to some experts is one of the reasons why the suicide rates have skyrocketed, but you and I in Jesus praying.. can become a part of the Solution instead of part of the problem.

Please don’t lose heart no matter the intensity of the storm or what swallows you up for a time. You will get through it if you just hold on to Christ. Cling to Him, never stop. Never give up. He's a only whispered prayer away!

Jonah was in a storm, and in a great fish for a time so he quoted some Scripture in his prayer reminding God of who He is (God already knew), and specifically, Jonah quoted from the God's Psalms. How comforting is that!

Storms, big fat trails, huge testings, weird temptations, times of tribulation--these things come and then they go. Yeah, they come into the lives of reborn Christians in the forms of a calamity, a tough circumstance at school or work, or say a hardship in private or out in public. It might be a medical issue, a marital problem, a big bill to pay from spending, a legal issue, a bully on the sidewalk, or say from something else. The list goes on and on and on. Life happens rough in this sin-cursed fallen world, but there are three kinds of storms a believer will face that they can overcome them by God's help.

God in the Bible promises us: “For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever” (2 Corinthians 4:17–18 nlt).

Come to Jesus.. or come back to Jesus today. Good idea! Now is good for that. Let Him calm your storm

“He stilled the storm to a whisper; the waves of the sea were hushed.” Psalm 107:29

If you and I opt to build on the solid rock of God's word instead of on the shifting sands in tides, then our lives can make it through any tough storms of this life.

Whatcha been goin' through lately.. some tough stuff. Sorry 'bout that.

God just might be allowing you to go through that stuff you've been goin' through, believer, in order to get you to what you've asked him for. To what you've really been longin' for.

You can be more you than you've ever been before.. you can get it right, Buckeroo. What beats gettin' right? Nothin'.

Got some unmet needs today? They don't have to remain that way.. unmet.

How have you felt lately after seeing so much corruption in your Land (It's kind of hard to not see the acceleration of it huh)?

Do you primarily look to this world, to other people, or to yourself to meet all your needs? Stop that. Some needs of people.. not even your spouse can meet, but God has always been the generous Master. Know Him and ask. Sure know Him well and you'll wanna make Him well known..everywhere you go.

"Delight yourself in the Lord, And He will give you the desires and petitions of your heart." Psalm 37:4 amp

Do ya live in the USA today? Have you heard any fake news over the media lately. Did you see 2000 mules (there were far more), or see the Dominion machines and what's daily been going on in DC?

Hey, there are some good things that we can do.. especially after we pray (with the correct address attached. To the Father in the Name of Jesus Christ). Why become polarized by all the things that you and I can't do to help?

"The beloved of the Lord dwells in safety. The High God surrounds him all day long, and dwells between his shoulders." Deuteronomy 33:12

Do you live in the Western world, believer, where multitudes of strangers are flooding in across your border and the woke globalist leaders getting rich could give a flip about you or your country? No time for any angst, passivity, trepidation, or anxiety!

In these last of the last days (these like Noah's day.. it's time to get the doubt out and get in the Arch so to speak. Me thinks: You must be born again because God says you must be born again (John 3).

"Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. ..where bribeable Globalists and their family members still care about what China wants instead of what your fellow countrymen need?..

..where the dazed, self-damaged, and constantly confused don't seem to need your votes to get into office to rule.. so what's broke doesn't get addressed or fixed?

Believing prayer to God ought never to be our last resort when everything seems to be headed south -- it should be our first response in faith.

Listen, we can do more positive stuff here.. yes, more than pray once we've prayed ..cuz God gladly and easily enables.. but what can we each pull off by our own power before we've prayed?

"But as for me, my prayer is to you, O LORD. At an acceptable time, O God, in the abundance of your steadfast love answer me in your saving faithfulness." Psalm 69:13 #SeeContext

"Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving." Colossians 4:2

"..Be alert and always keep praying for all the saints.." Ephesians 6:18

No time for weariness in well-doing or that perpetual shock that blocks ya.

"Let us then approach God's throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need." Hebrews 4:16

"I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint." Jeremiah 31:25

"God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in times of trouble.” Psalm 46:1

We can still worship, sing praises, and wisely obey our Authorities short of sinning. We walk worthy, we can be a good consistent witness for Christ, can listen well and when the time is right we can give a verbal witness for Jesus.

When was the last time you shared your own personal story of faith, bro? Do you have one? You can start today! Come to Christ just as you are. Admit it and quit it (what the Bible says is sin, it destroys and hinders). Just believe in God's only way -- Jesus!

“The sinner cannot convert the sinner. Fish will not be fishers.” ~ Charles Spurgeon

But prayerful-fishers (I mean reborn Christian believers on the go.. who really care about people) can get better at boldly sharing. Remember, all believers are called to be involved with Christ leading as Lord!

"For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which is lost" Luke 19:10

God just might be allowing you to go through those fiery trials you've been goin' through (with Jesus real close and holding your hand), believer, in order to get you to what you've asked him for. To what you've really been called to do in this life.

Yeah, He wants you blessed with abundant life. He wants you righteously fulfilled. Please don't doubt that He still loves you, sees it all, and delights to help you through to victory. Keep going, keep seeking Him and His kingdom first (see Matt. 6:33-34)

"Happy is the person who can hold up under the trials of life. At the right time, he’ll know God’s sweet approval and will be crowned with life. As God has promised, the crown awaits all who love Him." James 1:12

Happy Thanksgiving!

How wonderful it is to really feel grateful inside and say thanks! We can give thanks every day and all year long!

Thank you gobs Lord for everything, to sing His praises, to worship Him acceptably. There's never a day not to! This is always appropriate.

I'm convinced that you can do that 100% reverently and in your own way! It blesses the Lord and is good for you too.

"Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you" (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, nkjv).

"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God" (Philippians 4:6, nkjv).

"Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men" (1 Timothy 2:1, nkjv).

Of all of God’s gifts, the greatest one He has given is the gift of His Son, Jesus Christ. On the cross of Calvary, Jesus paid our sin debt, so a holy and just Judge could forgive us our sins and give us eternal life as a free gift.

Let’s live grateful. We, like the early Pilgrims who long ago landed here, have a choice to make.

In life there will always be those things that we can complain about (the Pilgrims had lost many loved ones), but there will also be much to be thankful for. As our society becomes increasingly secular moving away from God and the Bible we can do the opposite with the “giving of thanks to God.”  During our annual Thanksgiving holiday, God is often overlooked but we don’t have to. Why merely enjoy a nice temporal feasting?

God is good, and every good gift comes from Him (James 1:17). For those who know Christ, God also works everything together for good, even events we would not necessarily consider good (Romans 8:28-30).

"..He heals the brokenhearted, binding up their wounds. He counts the stars and calls them all by name. How great He is! His power is absolute! His understanding is unlimited." Psalm 147:1-5

Personally, I thank God for the...

1.) inheritance,

2.) deliverance and

3.) transference..

..from the kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of light and real life in the Son! Thank you Lord for the Bible narrative of King David as well. Helpful!

"May you be filled with joy, always thanking the Father. He has enabled you to share in the inheritance (yes,
inheritance from a very generous Father that doesn't change) that belongs to his people, who live in the light. For he has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness (complete not partial deliverance) and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son (full transference forever, not temporary).." In a twisted, corrupt and very confused culture that's struggling just to get it.. in this culture that currently is having an identity crisis, it's time for men to simply man up, to give thanks to their Creator, and to be who He designed them to be. Let's all give thanks and be who God designed us to be!

Every day, let's give thanks to the Father, to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit for His great love! The fruit of the Spirit is love--thank You. God is love--thank you for being who You are! So SO worthy!

"..wear love. It’s your basic, all-purpose garment. Never be without it. Let the peace of Christ keep you in tune with each other, in step with each other. None of this going off and doing your own thing. And cultivate thankfulness. Let the Word of Christ—the Message—have the run of the house. Give it plenty of room in your lives. Instruct and direct one another using good common sense. And sing, sing your hearts out to God! Let every detail in your lives—words, actions, whatever—be done in the name of the Master, Jesus, thanking God the Father every step of the way." Colossians 3:14b-17 msg

Did the pilgrims come to this land to obtain religious freedom, freedom of worship? No they already had it in Liden Holland. 1620 was an important year. They said they were coming to the Americas to evangelize the Indians (as missionaries for the Lord) yes, to help fulfill the great commission. In schools 1/5 of American students don't even know the country the pilgrims originally left from. Issues in education. Csn 11-04

Giving Thanks Oughta Be An All-Year Kind Of Thang. Sure, It's Never Been A Time-Waister For Anyone To Simply Express Gratitude!

Prayerfully muse on...

Ps 100:4 nkj - "Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. 5For the Lord is good"

Rom 1:21 nkj - “although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened.”

Ps 107:22 mess - “Offer thanksgiving sacrifices, tell the world what he’s done—sing it out!”

Ps 116:17 mess - “I’m ready to offer the thanksgiving sacrifice and pray in the name of GOD.”

Ps 147:7 mess - "Sing to GOD a thanksgiving hymn, play music on your instruments to God”

Col. 2:7 mess - “let your living spill over into thanksgiving.”

Col 1:2-3 mess - “May everything good from God our Father be yours! 3Our prayers for you are always spilling over into thanksgivings. We can’t quit thanking God our Father and Jesus our Messiah for you!”

Eph 5:4 mess - "Thanksgiving is our dialect."

Jonah 2:8-9 mess - "Those who worship hollow gods, god-frauds, walk away from their only true love. But I’m worshiping you, GOD, calling out in thanksgiving!"

Did you know that our holiday celebration - Thanksgiving - actually has an Old Testament precedent? Yep, it sure does.

It certainly does. The Israelites way back in the day expressed their gratitude vertically. And they offered pure worship to the only God existing through a series of five different offerings:

1.) The burnt offering,
2.) The grain offering,
3.) The peace offering,
4.) The sin offering, and
5.) The trespass offering.

And guess what.. the last two were compulsory, y'all. If you were Jewish back then, you had to do this.

But the first three were totally voluntary; you did them only if you really wanted to. And so those three types of offerings were important to God; He called them "a sweet-smelling aroma to the Lord."

The meaning of the burnt offering was the full consecration of one's self or person to God, and the grain offering was all about the dedication level of one's service as unto God.

The peace offering is my very favorite of em all; it's the celebration of true salvation. Like our Thanksgiving holiday, the people gathered together to rejoice and share a meal with fellowship. They brought a portion of it as a sacrifice, and a portion of it went to the priest. The rest of it they took with them home, they cooked it up, and then had friends and family members over to their homes to thank the Lord for what He had done for them.

Am bracing. Feelin' concerned for a rending that often happens.. ouch. I feel it too. It's from a bonding together. Didn't ask for, or seek this -- didn't even want this. Tried to put it off multiple times.

There's indeed a nurture-aspect that is real and often needed. So many have hurts in our fallen sin-cursed world today. Sorry that Liney and I work jobs still. Some have a gift and constantly get out there and use it. They encourage and make people feel special. How many get much attention these days when they need some. With others it's from a political campaigning via sham-kindness to gain numbers of devotees. Perhaps they've seen and caused the change coming, and they want to come out on top as king of the hill so to speak.

Let's do this as Jesus leads for His glory! Personally, just want to be in the will of God don't you.. and I won't tell anyone where that is for them. Inquire of God for yourself please. My close friends have gotten some unwanted calls, it's hard for them.

Keep your eyes on Jesus -- cling to Him. Get in, or continue on in fellowship with Him, believer. He's the ultimate Solution for all, not any of us mere humans. Am grateful that Romans 8:28 is still in the Bible!

Really wish I had more fitting words to help them with.

"For the sake of each of us he laid down his life—worth no less than the universe. He demands of us in return our lives for the sake of each other." ~ Clement of Alexandria

If you're currently out of fellowship with God, "'..rend your hearts and not your garments.' Return to the LORD your God, for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love; and he relents over disaster." Joel 2:13

"Rip your hearts in sorrow and contrition and not your garments.” amp

Are our priorities in proper order? May I say this.. as simply and gingerly as I can.. you have to focus yourself away from yourself. Me too, away from the toxic 1 on 1 communication you've heard.. up to the living Word of God instead.

Christ is building his church, I pray He'll use me in that. Building a man-centered church is unsound and unwise. Building around felt-needs is utterly contrary to Scripture. Yes, and hyperfocusing on you, and on your problems, and on your dilemmas, and on your circumstances, and on your situations is simply counterproductive. And while it may intend to help you for a time, the unintended consequence becomes you are the one being worshiped.. and you shouldn’t be worshiped. This is a big problem in our society today. You are the center of attention.. constantly ..not Him who should be. You are the center of the focus. And then the unintended consequence is when you feel like you don’t have any particular needs, or they’re not doing a very good job of meeting those needs, you don’t need a church. If they fail to deliver what you think you need, you check out. You bolt on down the road.

So we need to get back to what the really important matters of the church are. As the hymn writer said, "You want to go to church to get lost in wonder, love and praise. You want to go to church to forget about yourself, to set yourself aside, and to lose yourself in the glory and wonder of God."

Let's forget about the constant bad emotions, let's forget about ourselves and concentrate on Jesus and worship Him! A God-centered preacher, a God-centered teacher and or a co-teacher focused on the Lord.. a God-centered worship is what you really want in a church. That's what we need! When you look for a local church and life group, that’s exactly what you want.

You want to see people consistently being brought before God in His word. You want those who are being brought into the very throne room of heaven to see His glory, and His majesty, and the wonder of who He is.. and His blazing righteousness, and His holiness.

Trials arrive, ouch!!.. the toxicity might go or just leave it. Chin up, it'll pass. Get in, stay in a healthy group for fellowship.

Me, see it as a gift right now, really? No, me? As if! Can I quickly re-gift it away?

I didn't, we didn’t ask for it. Ouch.. hurting! God allowed it, therefore we can thank and praise God in it. Not for it per se, but in it and through it.

Rejoice in the Lord away! "Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

In Him, and "in" it. Not for it. Dietrich Bonhoeffer saw and experienced suffering during the reign of Nazism in Germany. I was told by my dad that my great Uncle Chancler Kurt von Schleicher fought against it and suffered too (from the SS). Both died because of this horrendous evil.

Bonhoeffer was a saved pastor, and he loved the Scriptures. He prayed in faith but God allowed it there in Germany. He gratefully wrote letters and notes.

Bonhoeffer’s solution to the problem of pain and suffering was basically crafted during his solitary confinement ward at Berlin-Tegel Military Detention Center where Bonhoeffer was imprisoned for his participation in a failed plot to assassinate Hitler. Tegel was the place where he spent his last eighteen months and then he was sadly executed on April 9th 1945. So many needlessly died! So many wonderful Jewish people suffered and were killed as well. How do you feel when egotists oust you for no wrong you've done or taught? There are some in every era (only God can judge their heart and motives. We can evaluate their message.)

“Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.” Philippians 2:12-18 esv

“Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoiced in hope of the glory of God. Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.” Romans 5:1-5 esv

Dietrich Bonhoeffer was a man who loved the truth and knew how to suffer joyfully like his Savior. He’d learned. Yes, while staying in fellowship with Christ. He didn’t seek for suffering. He didn't cause himself pain, and didn’t pray for suffering. Why?, Well, because he was a normal human, not some religious person thinking he could gain brownie points with God for voluntary suffering.

The glory of God is my hope. I need that hope. I sing of that hope. I smile at that hope. I rejoice in that hope. But up to this point I have never counted it a joy when I have suffered for that hope. (James 1:2-4) I know that if I am a Christian I will suffer (John 15:20; 2 Timothy 3:12). But I always saw that suffering as a necessary evil and not a necessary joy. Yes, suffering is rooted in much evil. But if my savior was most glorified through suffering, then how can I call him my Savior if I reject the very suffering that He appointed to me to bring him more glory?  Further, that suffering produce more hope than without out that suffering. And I need more hope.

Christian suffering isn’t minimized compared to the rest of the world. Christian suffering is purifying. The suffering that is senseless and degrading for the unbeliever (non-Christian) is hope-building and God glorifying for the Christian.

Oh, may I ever rejoice in the sufferings that I am called to endure for the name of Jesus Christ. Not so that I might be a silently-smiling-masochist. But so, that my great Savior, Jesus Christ, might be seen as more glorious to those who suffer without hope.[1]

I say do all things without gripey grumbling or disheartened disputing, that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a very crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, holding fast to the word of life. Cling to the living Word of life, He’s been through suffering and came out victorious.

The God of the Bible according Bonhoeffer, is not deus ex machine, a being that mechanical appears to solve our insoluble problems. He is not a being that we evoke as an explanation of unexplainable due to our epistemic limitation. He is not a being that we call upon to offer us strength in our powerlessness and weakest moments. No. If God was such a being, then He is no longer needed in this world.
