Abide > Strive

"The Son of God.. loved me and gave Himself for me. He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?” See Gal. 2:20, Rom. 8:32

God delights to bless us and be with us. Yes, wants to bless us, but He's far better than all his blessings put together.

God loves to help and use us, and He wants to help us every day. Isn’t that a great thing to know? He’s got you, your friends and others in mind too.

Jesus said, “Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom” Luke 12:32 nkjv. fish4souls.org

Life forever and more abundantly > No life or real love

Abiding in the Vine > Striving in the flesh

When pride comes, then comes shame; but with the humble is wisdom.” Proverbs 11:2

You and I can choose to be humble or proud, believing or full of unbelief. We each can choose to have a life that is blessed or cursed, to have a shameful life or one that is marked by God's kind of wisdom.

Why be striving rather than abiding?

If you want to live a blessed, joyous and happy life, an abundant life, then you need to love God more than all else, to obey His voice, and just cling to your first love. Learn of Him, the living word. Live it. See how He will meet your every need. Wisely put the word into practice. Ask lots of good questions, listen up, and bear fruit. And right there in God’s will, watch what the Lord will do.

“A man without God is trusting in a spider’s web. Everything he counts on will collapse.” Job 8:14
Not even kinda strong, or really for him at all.
Your true and top priority purpose in this world is simply this, biblical worship -- it’s to bring glory to the Father through faith in Christ His Son.
