Godly motherhood matters more than ever!

We are grateful -- you do matter, godly mothers!

"Never could it be possible for any man to estimate what he owes to a godly mother." ~ Charles Haddon Spurgeon

Blessed are the merciful! Hey guys, have you done what you need to follow through on in giving honor to God and in showing honor to your mothers as the "priceless, valuable and rare" figures that they are? I say, go for it while you can! Here's what the Lord says about godly mothers/women:
She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her. - Proverbs 31:25,28
I am reminded of your sincere faith, a faith that dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice and now, I am sure, dwells in you as well. - 2 Timothy 1:5
He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young. - Isaiah 40:11
As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you; and you will be comforted over Jerusalem. - Isaiah 66:13
Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. - Psalm 127:3-5
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. - 2 Proverbs 22:6

Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you. - Exodus 20:12

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. - Psalm 139:13-14
Listen, my son, to your father’s instruction and do not forsake your mother’s teaching. They are a garland to grace your head and a chain to adorn your neck. - Proverbs 1:8-9
Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. - James 1:17
1. Moms, You’re Not Alone: You are a gift that we are grateful for. Thank you! God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit really loves you mom -- He is always there for you. Stay in touch abiding in the Vine. Get your go from Him. If you feel all alone and lonely, uou don't need to stay that way! Get with Him today. Proactively find a balanced, on-fire, prayerful, warm Bible-based community!
2. Moms, You Are Not Unseen Even On Days You Feel Like It: Mister William Wallace in his famous poem called "The Hand That Rocks the Cradle Is the Hand That Rules the World". It's Mother's Day, so go remind all the older and younger salty godly mothers you know about Christ's powerful influence that comes through them in needy places, Yes, that are making this broken world a better place to live in.
Godly mothers, please listen up. Upwards. Stay in the word. God has a specific will for you. God will honor the sacrifices you’ve made for Him and for your family. Are you a single mother? You too are cherished, you are loved, and you play an essential role in this world gone sideways.. as well as in the Kingdom of God!
‍3. Moms, You Are Blessed In Christ: He'll meet all your needs as in ALL. No fears, no worries, no worldly comparisons, no fears, and no disorientations or woke confusion in the Lord.
Start and end your day in prayer together. Pray all through the day.. not for show.

Personally, I ask a lot of questions (as early as I can, it's better this way) and guess what.. white roses with other white lilies and Saint Ann's Lace are still on top, they never get old for Liney.

Keep in mind how many brand-new mothers' hearts are filled up with great hope and love! Liney was like that. Yes, God made them this way.

God loves mothers! Family still matters to Him like He describes it. He always has, and he always will be like that.

Mothers, words cannot describe how experientially wonderful and joyous it is to know the Father God through his Son, Jesus Christ! Keep on walking with Him and ignore the words of those who keep seeking to pull you down!

Life here can be kind of tough, very challenging, but God gives grace and listens to moms. Yes, to all of us when we call out to Him. He feels compassion for us too. God understands and answers prayer!

He has been the perfect parent and he had a dysfunctional family. Ouch! So many of his creations rebelled and split from Him (and still rebel. Some are even delusional still believing many lies).

The very first son of Eve (the very first human mother) was Cain, the very first murderer. Guilty of fratricide. Her secondborn son was the very first godly martyr named Abel. Can you immaging the pain from him? According to Genesis 4:1, after Cain was born, Eve voiced: “I have gotten a man with the help of the LORD” (esv) or "I have produced a man with the help of the LORD" (nrsv). It would appear from the text that Eve had hoped Cain would be that one promised "seed" who would bring viable solutions and the Ultimate Solution (salvation) here for people.

Factoid: Here's what they've studied and discovered: Every mother has hope. Do you still have love? Every human being has a mitochondrial DNA that goes back to one mother (who wasn't a man that had periods), yes back to one woman.
  • Eve Had a child, and a lot of Hope and Love: She had that dysfunctional hateful pridefully-evil Cain. Read the Bible, she obviously had a whole bunch of unbelieving kids ...and then godly Seth popped up! Praise the Lord for Seth!
  • Scholars say hopeful Eve really thought: Cain was the promised "seed" who would conquer that serpent (Genesis 3:15), but she was sadly mistaken. Have your hopes been dashed by his son heading south spiritually?
You and I know even good words are cheap to speak son. Those are the easy part done, so how do you consistently show love to your mother.. I mean, what she needs to see in an ongoing way and to hear from you? Why don't we ask her!

I've seen and read about some excellent examples -- Liney, the example of Eunice, of Hannah, and of Mary, who lovingly served and sang of her Savior.

Each one of us can say things in a Hallmark card (a good start), but real consistency, time visiting her, supporting her, and warmly showing your appreciation for her maternal sacrifice is more noble yet!

The spiritual impact of godly motherhood through the ages has been incalculable, and the importance of ongoing support, your encouragement, your edifying of her, and your honoring her. Man, praying for mothers now is needed more than ever.

We've been seeing the most vicious treatment of mothers (even in this Western 1st World and oftentimes by strange invading males) of any generation in all of history. The numbers are far greater. It's so wrong! They're not ever to be treated like crazy-mean dogs or any animal ever.

Some Mothers Really Need A Message From Family Who Genuinely Care.. Starting From Member's Lives Well-lived.

Yes, some need to finally hear and see some results from the huge investment they made and keep making!

The Power of Prayer: Please go study the story of Augustine's mother. Godly mothers never stop praying for their children, even when they stray far sway. Even when they really can't take the unfair harsh treatment of their kids another day.

It was the steadfastness of her faith, of her hot tears, and of her dogged perseverance that God responded to by convicting and bringing Augustine of Hippo to faith in Christ.

Think about the most powerful force in many homes is not wealth, intellect, or status, but is God when a mother gets on her knees before Him. Her life shows that persistent prayer, patient faith, biblical wisdom, and sacrificial love can become instruments through which God rescues prodigals and shapes history. Hidden obedience in the home may appear small to the world, yet in God's hands it can influence generations and advance His kingdom far beyond what any mother can presently see.

“She wept for me more than mothers weep for the bodily deaths of their children!” ~ Augustine

Is It  Challenging Like Some "Wonder Woman" Role?: Godly mothers have a very difficult yet rewarding calling that requires prayer, unnoticed service, patience and 24/7/365 selflessness. They wipe butts, mop, mow, and clean toilets for God's sake!

Biblical Motherhood: God highlights for us that children are a "gift and heritage from the Lord" but that doesn't mean do nothing with your kids after they're given to you on loan. Teach them how to . grow and live independantly with the Jesus of the Bible rather than one of their own creation. God calls on mothers to lead by biblical example.

Appreciation over Gifts: While gifts are nice, but mothers need to know they are truly appreciated, loved, respected for their unseen labor of selfless love. After the Fall, Eve came to trust in God and His promise and she demonstrated genuine faith.

1. Eve Believed God’s Promise of Redemption
Immediately after Adam and Eve sinned, God gave the first promise of the gospel:

“I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel.” — God, Gen. 3:15

This verse, often called the Protoevangelium (“first gospel”), foretells that a descendant of the woman would ultimately defeat Satan. Evangelical interpreters widely understand this as the first prophecy of Jesus Christ.

Eve heard this promise directly from God.

2. Eve Was Called “Mother of All Living”
After hearing God’s promise, Adam named his wife:
“Adam called his wife’s name Eve, because she was the mother of all living.” — God in the Bible

The name “Eve” (Hebrew Chavvah) is related to “life” or “living.” In the context of impending death because of sin, this name reflects hope in God’s promise of life and redemption.

Matthew Henry observed that Adam’s naming of Eve expressed faith that life would continue through her despite the curse of death.

3. Eve’s Statement at Cain’s Birth Reflects Faith
When her first son was born, Eve said:

“I have gotten a man with the help of the LORD.” — Gen. 4:1

This is the first recorded statement of a woman in Scripture after the Fall, and it explicitly acknowledges the Lord’s help. Some commentators suggest Eve may have wondered whether this son might be the promised deliverer, though the text does not state that directly.
At minimum, her words show:

Recognition of God as the giver of life
Gratitude to the Lord
Dependence upon God

4. Eve Continued Trusting God After Abel’s Murder
After Cain murdered Abel, Eve later said regarding Seth:

“God has appointed for me another offspring instead of Abel.” — Gen. 4:25

Even after devastating grief, Eve acknowledged God’s sovereign provision. This indicates continued trust in the Lord.

5. New Testament Perspective
The Bible notes Eve’s deception and then states that women will continue “in faith and love and holiness, with self-control.” The emphasis is not that motherhood saves, but that faithful perseverance marks genuine spiritual life. Eve’s later statements in Genesis are consistent with such faith.
Conclusion: Was Eve a Woman of Faith? Yes.

Based on the biblical evidence, it is reasonable to conclude that Eve became a believing woman who trusted God after the Fall.

Eve was a real person, a mother with hope in her heart...
  • She heard and evidently embraced God’s promise.
  • She acknowledged God’s help.
  • She recognized God’s provision.
  • She became the mother through whom the human race—and ultimately the Messiah—would come.
  • Scripture does not present Eve as a perfect mother. Her sons included both a murderer and a righteous worshiper. Yet the biblical record gives meaningful indications that she trusted in God’s mercy and lived in hope of His redemptive promise.
“Where sin increased, grace abounded all the more.”

Eve’s story reminds us that even those who fall grievously may be restored by God’s grace and become instruments in His plan of redemption.

Wise King Solomon knew who the real mother was when she was willing to give up her own child to the other prostitute who had stole him cuz hers was dead. She rolled over on him in the night and the swished the two kids out in the morning. A mother will sacrifice in love. Our heavenly Father sacrificed His own Son so we could experience life.

Mother, what is your first born like, or other kids like? You still have hope? Hope is to be had in the first Adam - Christ!

Again, think about the first mother and her heart filled with love and hope after receiving her firstborn son. It was Cain who was a murderer. The second born of Eve was the first martyr in history - Able. Lots of kids! Then Eve experienced rest.had Seth and he was godly.

Some kids easily voice: "I'm sorry" over and over again on different months, but refuse to actually change any like they say.

Bottom line, those words of sorry sound really good but are 100% wothless. Learn and stop sinning. Others never ever say or show that, or "I love you. Thanks mom. Apart from your kind encouragement mom with the phone and text niceities, and talk of garden, rain or cats, what do you really want to see from my life, mom?"

Who had some spiritual kids that made an impact?

Henrietta Mears was one of the most influential Christian educators in modern evangelical history. As Director of Christian Education at First Presbyterian Church of Hollywood (often called Hollywood Presbyterian Church), she taught thousands of young adults and personally discipled hundreds who later entered full-time Christian ministry.

Henrietta Mears was a spiritual mother whose Bible teaching, discipleship, and vision helped shape many of the men and women who, in turn, shaped twentieth-century evangelical Christianity.

Who Were Some Significant Leaders She Influenced

Billy Graham

Founder of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. Mears helped Graham resolve his doubts about the authority of Scripture at Forest Home Ministries shortly before the 1949 Los Angeles Crusade that launched his worldwide ministry.

Bill Bright

Founder of Cru. Bright was deeply mentored by Mears; he and his wife Vonette Bright even lived in her home for years while building the ministry. Bright said, “No one has influenced my life more than Dr. Mears.”

Dawson Trotman

Founder of The Navigators, a ministry emphasizing Scripture memory, personal discipleship, and evangelism worldwide. Mears was a close ministry associate and major influence.

Jim Rayburn

Founder of Young Life. Rayburn adopted Mears’s passion for reaching young people with a clear gospel message.

Bob Pierce

Founder of World Vision International and Samaritan's Purse. Her teaching helped shape his burden for suffering children worldwide.

Richard Halverson

Later served as Chaplain of the United States Senate and was one of her devoted protégés.

Louis Evans Jr.

Founding pastor of Bel Air Presbyterian Church and a nationally respected expositor.

Donn Moomaw

Became pastor of Bel Air Presbyterian Church and spiritual advisor to Ronald Reagan.

F. Dale Bruner

Renowned New Testament commentator, especially on Matthew and John.

Vonette Bright

Co-founded Cru and launched the National Day of Prayer Task Force.

What Ministries Were Indirectly Shaped Through Her Influence

Through the people she discipled, God used Henrietta Mears to shape:

  • Cru
  • The Navigators
  • Young Life
  • World Vision International
  • Billy Graham Evangelistic Association
  • Gospel Light
  • Forest Home Ministries

And Why Her Ministry Was So Powerful

Henrietta Mears did not build her influence primarily through preaching in stadiums. She faithfully taught the Bible verse by verse, and believed deeply in the authority of Scripture. She prayed fervently, and she intentionally discipled young adults one by one. She lived the life illustrating 2 Timothy 2:2:

“What you have heard from me… entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.”

She invested in a few, and God multiplied her influence to millions around the world.

Her Direct Ministerial Impact

  • Over 400 men and women entered full-time Christian service through her ministry.
  • Many became founders of global ministries.
  • Through those ministries, hundreds of millions have heard the gospel.

Billy Graham

"Apart from my wife and mother, no woman had a greater influence on my life than Henrietta Mears."

Bill Bright

“No one has influenced my life more than Dr. Mears.”

Richard Halverson

“Henrietta Mears was the giant of Christian education.”

A good example! Henrietta Mears stands as a remarkable example of how one faithful Bible teacher, grounded in the Word of God and committed to discipling others, can profoundly influence generations. She never pastored a large congregation in the formal sense, yet by teaching Scripture and mentoring young believers, she helped shape many of the most significant evangelical leaders and ministries of the twentieth century.

Listen, God can use you! Do you say that you love the Lord? The Bible truthfully teaches that you'll never ever be close to him, or in live in harmonious connection with Christ, unless you also love his flawed bride.

Take heed to what the Word teaches. The Lord is very faithful to 100% fairly repay all those who cause hurt to others.. especially to their own moms.

We all can disagree on gobs (other than the Essentials). Yes, we can study but disagree on a whole lot of very basic non-Cardinal truths and stay in fellowship with each other, Christian. But let's always agree on the very basic stuff that so, okay. That seems smart! We will honor our parents this way!

"How can two walk together, except they be agreed?"

That's a rhetorical question above. Amos 3:3 basically tells us that any good and true partnership, family harmony, and progress with any kind of relationship—whether with God or with others—requires a shared direction, humility, care, a good purpose with an alignment of good values. (Wise sources do matter. ie, Bible).

Amos implies that walking together is absolutely impossible without maintaining some unity about what's so ..at least regarding Bible basics. Read more on motherhood...

Sure, ALL parents are imperfect (you too), but God is good and godly mothers are so So SO valuable! They are to be loved instead of repeatedly grieved or wounded by relatives.

God's 100% got your godly mother's back as she prays for you. I know she'd love to see you on the other side of His Great White Throne Judgment bar.

Yes, He'd very much like that too cuz He's mad about you, not mad at you. Cuz of the Cross God ain't mad at sinners or saints.

Do you have some real trauma from your home life?

Do you have Christian parents? They have feelings too. No matter who you are, you and your buds, or school counselors, none of us are your mother's Judge. Help her please as she walks with her Savior. You want closeness right, so why shoot yourself in the food so to speak? No son or daughter will ever enjoy any closeness with their Christian dad if they continue to despise or harshly treat (hurt) his bride!

Let go of all women-hate and that  diminishing of your mothers, which is so prevalent in this Woke and Cancel and "Cut-off culture." It needs to be ditched; all the Christian and Jew hatred needs to be repented of. Let go of all those accusations against your mom have got to go!

The Bible teaches us that Satan and his thugs are the deceiving, hateful accusers of the brethren. I mean that pointing of the finger. Mr LuCifer hatefully does that not to assist, yep, just like the Pharisees of old and of today often did. He has only come to steal, kill and destroy. He and Pharisee types are the same yesterday, today and forever.

It and all the condemnation simply needs to go away from you ..forever. Forgive your parents; it's a choice. Forgive God, who never did you any wrong. Jesus cares and intercedes for us

So, going forward, live free in the Son. Choose to love people you've neglected or hurt. Make a firm decision now to come down on the right side of history, instead of the wrong side.

Q: Are you going to line yourself up with:  the accuser or with the Intercessor (who is Christ). Pray earnestly for your flawed parents, for godly women, and even for her kids.. for your kids.

"If you look at the world, you’ll be distressed. If you look within, you’ll be depressed. But if you look at Christ, you’ll be at rest." ~ Corrie Ten Boom

"The power of a mother's prayers with all her children kneeling around is far greater than any public ministry.” ~ Charles H. Spurgeon

Marriage and motherhood today with the ladies are just as valid as they ever were! God thought it all up, this union where selfless-caring-friendship can indeed be learned and cultivated instead of with that ugly selfishness of this corrupt and twisted world system. See Phil. 2:3-4 and S. of S.

Real facts > Real feelings

The former are your friends - facts are! Yes, real facts (like all those found in the Bible), over feelings you have, should really matter!

It's amazing how often the kindhearted, incredible godly mother in my home (my wife, and is not my mother) has gotten caught in an outright... truth! Has gotten caught red-handed in a "conspiracy theory that was true. Sure, she had facts on it, yet that doesn't always register with her occasional accusers/attackers.

God is the powerful One. He empowers believers for witnessing, and prayer is the way we tap in but he remains Lord not us.

"Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, 'Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord'". Romans 1219

"Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy" Matthew 5:7.

The USA needs a 5th Great Awakening spawning PASSIONATE evangelistic revival (He's done 4 before), and this 5th beatitude of Jesus as well.

Mercy, yes and what's better than mere empathy! What we've seen at two borders is suicidal empathy -- it was killing our nation, the USA and others. Real love doesn't always give freebies away to countless people that want to destroy our nation and us. Compassion starts on two knees. Yes, compassion starting in the home is far better than empathy because compassion speaks and acts appropriately to address the need right.

"In everything you do, put God first, and He will direct you and crown your efforts with success." Proverbs 3:6

Happy Mother's Day!

Here's a Good Wife's / Mother's Guide To Help:

Need A Good Laugh?  Here's Some Helpful Advice For Moms, Ladies. It's From Good Housekeeping - The May 13, 1955 Issue.
  • Have dinner ready.  Plan ahead, even the night before, to have a delicious meal ready, on time for his return. This is a way of letting him know that you have been thinking about him and are concerned about his needs. Most men are hungry when they come home and the prospect of a good meal (especially his favorite dish) is part of the warm welcome needed.
  • Prepare yourself.  Take 15 minutes to rest so you"ll be refreshed when he arrives. Touch up your make-up, put a ribbon in your hair and be fresh looking.  He has just been with a lot of work weary people.
  • Be a little gay (Naww, careful with that one today) and a little more interesting for him.  His boring day may need a lift and one of your duties is to provide it.
  • Clear away the clutter.  Make one last trip through the main part of the house just before your husband arrives.
  • Gather up schoolbooks, toys paper etc. and then run a dust cloth over the tables.
  • Over the cooler months of the year you should prepare and light a fire for him to unwind by.  Your husband will feel he has reached a haven of rest and order, and it will give you a lift too.  After all, catering for  his comfort will provide you with immense personal satisfaction.
  • Prepare the children.  Take a few minutes to wash the children's hands and faces (if they are small), comb their hair and , if necessary, change their clothes.  They are little treasures and he would like to see them playing the part.  Minimise all noise.  At the time of his arrival, eliminate all noise of the washer, dryer or vacuum.  Try to encourage the children to be quiet.
  • Be happy to see him.
  • Listen to him  You may have a dozen important things to tell him, but the moment of his arrival is not the time.  Let him talk first (LOL)--remember, his topics of conversation are more important than yours (Say what?).
  • Greet him with a warm smile and show sincerity in your desire to please him.
  • Make the evening his.  Never complain if he comes home late or goes out to dinner, or other places of entertainment without you.  Instead, try to understand his world of strain and pressure and his very real need to be at home and relax.
  • Your goal:  Try to make sure your home is a place of peace, order and tranquility where your husband can renew himself in body and spirit.
  • Don't greet him with complaints and problems.
  • Don't complain if he's late home for dinner or even if he stay out all night (as if! Guys, please don't be out all night. Might show up on Cops).  Count this as minor compared to what he might have gone through that day.
  • Make him comfortable.  Have him lean back in a comfortable chair or have him lie down in the bedroom.  Have a cool or warm drink ready for him.
  • Arrange his pillow (my side hurts from laughing) and offer to take off his shoes. Speak in a low, soothing and pleasant voice.
  • Don' ask him questions about his actions or question his judgment or integrity. Remember,  he is the master of the house and as such will always exercise his will with fairness and truthfulness.  You have no right to question him.
  • A good wife always knows her place (Amazing huh).

Funny huh. Sounds like the Leave it to Beaver show (I still remember that). Thought you might like that. Me says.. listen to your mom, kids. Listen to your wife, husbands. Listen to God, wives. Please love, bless and obey Him more than us guys okay.

No one of this world (and you know the trends of this world system are changing daily) has the right to tell you mothers how to live. The Living Word of God does, and He is always looking out for your best interests.

Yo, Heads up. To Every Righteous Mom Out There. On Mother’s Day Just Remember This. You Are the REAL “Wonder-Woman!” Yes, God Still Delights To Work His Wonders Through You.

"The greatest contribution to The Kingdom of God may not be what we do as mothers, but who we raise."

"She girds herself with strength, and strengthens her arms. She perceives that her merchandise is good, and her lamp does not go out by night. She stretches out her hands to the distaff, and her hand holds the spindle. She extends her hand to the poor, Yes, she reaches out her hands to the needy.” Proverbs 31:17-20
Today we're told that mothers still do the equivalent of 2.5 full time jobs. They are to be respected and honored. Four times the Scriptures mention her hands above. From the whole context, it sounds like she is proactive and productive, caring and compassionate. All believers can learn to adopt those four characteristics -- it'd be a good witness for those in the world.. if we did.

My wife and I did our best with the kids. Prayed oft. @Lineyrvs did awesome -- no shame in her game. Now, tears and "laughter in the walls."

You can do what ya can do.. and trust Him. God loves and understands parents; loves families -- He's still a Father. Doin' our best, we commit the rest. : )

Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is o l d he will not depart from it. (Proverbs 22:6). Read more (click here)...
I pass a lot of houses
on my way home.
Some pretty,
some expensive,
some inviting.
But my heart always skips a beat
when I turn down the road
and see my house
nestled against the hill.
I guess I’m especially proud
of the house
and the way it looks
because I drew the plans myself.
It started out large enough for us–
I even had a study;
two teenage boys
now reside in there.
And it had a guest room;
my girl and nine dolls
are permanent guests.
It had a small room
Peg had hoped
would be her sewing room,
the two boys swinging
on the Dutch door
have claimed this room as their own.
So it really doesn’t look right now
as if I’m much of an architect.
But it will get larger again.
One by one they will go away–
to work, to college,
to service,
to their own houses.
And then there will be room–
a guest room, a study,
and a sewing room–
just for the two of us.
But it won’t be empty.
Every corner, every room,
every nick in the coffee table
will be crowded
with memories.
Memories of picnics,
parties, Christmases,
bedside vigils, summers,
fires, winters, going barefoot,
leaving for vacation, cats,
conversations, black eyes,
graduations, first dates,
ball games, arguments,
washing dishes, bicycles,
dogs, boat rides,
getting home from vacation,
meals, rabbits,
and a thousand other things
that fill the lives
of those who would raise five.
And Peg and I
will sit quietly by the fire
and listen to the
laughter in the walls. ~ Bob Benson facebook.com/shareJesus

I enjoy listenin' to li’l children sometimes -- so interesting, so profound and so funny at times. But I’ve never viewed these creatures as flawless or worthy of worship like some parents view them. You know, they just aren’t. Duh!

And their false view of em, can perhaps be brought down to normal.. to how it really is.

Facts: A child could speak the right direction that you adults [me included] oughta take (could happen -- it indeed will happen in the future millennium. Isa. 11:6). Today, babies are born sinners -- you were and I was born that way. Go do a careful study on depravity and where it came from.

“The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb,
The leopard shall lie down with the young goat,

The calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them."
Facts. Cuz of one man’s sin, all people have been affected on this planet. People are born sinners cuz of Adam and Eve who sinned. It’s true, and you don’t have to teach kids how to sin, it comes naturally.
Facts: All kids have huge value, you do too (enough so that Jesus died on the Cross for you). Please do value children though. The Bible in Psalm 127:3 says that: “Sons are a heritage from the Lord, children a reward from him.” I didn't always show this like I should have as a dad (flawed), but valuing our children means providing for them, protecting them, properly caring for them, rightly teaching em... and of course earnestly praying for them. You can do that daily. See Job 1:4-5.

"Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me!" Psalm 51:5

Do you desire to one day become a parent?

It’s so horrific that every year thousands of children are neglected or abused by adults in different ways. It’s also a tragedy that thousands of other children are put on pedestals..and so much so that they actually direct their families where they wish or feel like in each moment. Personally, I listen to their longings for things and do want to bless kids, but really.. some kids come to believe and feel that the rules of society should not.. do not apply to them, and that they can live their lives as they wish. Some dads feel like this too.
These following non-PC words can help us understand how much our society has changed and how much we’ve lost our clear perspective of how things really are regarding children and “family”. This following quote is from the Minnesota Crime Commission, and was published in 1926 -- it’s actually helpful and good to muse on.

"Every baby starts life as a little savage. He is completely selfish and self-centered: he wants what he wants—his bottle, his mother's attention, his playmate's toys, his uncle's watch, or whatever. Deny him these and he seethes with rage and aggressiveness which would be murderous were he not so helpless. He is dirty; he has no morals, no knowledge and no developed skills. This means that all children, not just certain children, but all children are born delinquent. If permitted to continue in their self-centered world of infancy, given free reign to their impulsive actions to satisfy each want—every child would grow up a criminal, a killer, a thief, and a rapist." ~ Reb Bradley

And that my friend is called the fleshly nature, in Judaism it's called yetzer hara (Hebrew: יֵצֶר הַרַע‎, for the definite "the evil inclination"). Yes, the potential is indeed there. I am a sinner and am capable if I choose. That's why I daily so need the Lord. What's your take on this? I like what God says -- see the Bible passages.

Think about it, fleshly willful selfishness is at the root of almost all sins. Most of the quarrels and conflicts we have in life at any age occur because self is either bein' restrained, threatened, challenged, or just ignored. It is all about us when instead it should be about Jesus and how others can know ..and enjoy Him. See James 4:1.

"Remember that children are born with a decided bias toward evil, and therefore if you let them choose for themselves, they are certain to choose wrong. The mother cannot tell what her tender infant may grow up to be—tall or short, weak or strong, wise or foolish—all is uncertain. But one thing the mother can say with certainty—he will have a corrupt and sinful heart! It is natural for us to do wrong. Our hearts are like the earth on which we tread—let it alone, and it is sure to bear weeds!" ~ J. C. Ryle

"Every inclination of his heart is evil from childhood." Genesis 8:21

Are you a mom or dad now? Turn, confess, pray in faith -- come to Jesus today. Your family needs you obedient in Christ today. Choose to follow Him daily. Choose to balance love and proper discipline. Take the lead in demonstrating Christ-like love, wise Bible-application, and the importance of family along with healthy-local-church relationships. You know kids will often copy, mimic -- really reflect their moms and dads. Back in the day looking at how the Israelite's failed to biblically worship the true God we all can learn to do better. The Bible in 2 Kings 17:41 says, “To this day their children and grandchildren continue to do as their fathers did.” Proverbs 14:26 states the other side of the coin, “He who fears the Lord has a secure fortress, and for his children it will be a refuge.”

You know our society tends to excuse bad behavior in kids and in adults. It tends to misplace all blame for the kid’s behavior too – “it’s completely the parent’s fault”, “it’s the teacher's influence on em, “it’s the (low percentage of) bad cops who corrupt the children" (as if!), “it’s their bad diet,” “it’s completely the school’s fault -- the whole district is lame! (and there indeed are a lot of bad districts to be avoided).” All these things could contribute to delinquency I guess (they do), but they are never to excuse it. Kids do wrong cuz they each choose to do wrong. Listen, all but the smallest children know right from wrong – even the very small are quite capable of deliberate naughtiness! All aren’t me, but personally been there, done that. Proverbs 20:11 says, “Even a child is known by his actions, by whether his conduct is pure and right.”
Now be edified by the words of Jesus in Matthew 11:25 and 18:2-5.
“I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children.
Unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me.

Christ loved and ministered to kids. Still does today. He wants to use Christians to do this. Pure agape love and Bible truth with patience are key! Yup. Wise ministry to children needs to happen in our day more than ever (my wife Liney is gentle, patient, loving and is really good at this stuff. In a good sense I am proud of her. Though our three boys are grown up and out the door, LIney does this regularly at our church just a mile north of us).  Listen, when each child can understand it, they each need to be won to Christ. Scripture is simple enough, when simply explained a bit, for children to grasp the truth of it.

God loves you and all kids -- He made em! Yes, and every child needs to hear the Gospel in terms the can get. Some people really hate it when I call them kids, but who cares! Come on.

When the time is right each child needs to learn about repentance and to repent. And they each need to believe in Jesus Christ so they can be regenerated inside. It can happen. Don’t push it. No pressure. There is a day for each one to be born again spiritually. Facebook.com/shareJesus
