Seems like morning sometimes comes too soon. Man, think I’ll begin this day whisperin a few supplications. With prayin’ and thankin’ some.. sure, right here from this bed. And then with strong coffee and what’s so (Bible). Can’t beat that start.

We each need to prove the mind over mattress.

I challenge you if I may.. to get your morning right. You want your whole day to go right so make a right start. Need a new beginning? I encourage you come to (Jesus, the living word)..or just come back to Him if ya’ve taken a stride from your Master’s side. Early is good. Return to.. Him. You've heard it before, but God still loves you and has a excellent plan for your life.

What!? Mind Over Mattress: Yup, Here’s Five Ways to Prayerfully Retrain The Brain In What Matters For Eternity.

  1. Personally exercise alone (a quiet time of listening up). Yeah, more in prayerfully reading through the word of God. “What's good for the heart and soul is also good for the brain,” Physical exercise is of course good to -- ever go on a prayer walk early? A time to vent, ask questions and listen. He might answer the questions.
  2. Utilize your network so to speak..and I don’t merely mean your online kind... Ask growing spiritually sound believers to pray for you when you really need that.
  3. Keep Learning What’s Really So.. and how to let Jesus lead you as your Lord and friend.
  4. Floss Mentally and Spiritually If Ya Will - be quick to confess sins when you blow it)
  5. Go Greek In Diet. I mean in the sense of eating only what is good for you both physically, mentally, and spiritually. Truth and grace intake matters -- it’s imperative for you to advance. “Multiple studies have shown that a Mediterranean diet, high in olive oil, fruits, vegetables, legumes, and mixed nuts, can reduce the risk for Alzheimer’s disease,” Tazi says. These foods also lower cholesterol and blood sugar levels. As a man thinks in his heart so is he. Don’t allow your conscience to be darkened by iniquity or lusts of the eyes, of the flesh or from the pride of life. The grace of God is greater than all your sin. How do I feed on the Word of God? Regular Bible intake is so important. Study the Scriptures in the original languages too. Like in learning the Greek meanings of Bible words. See the context.

- Hear It -- The Word Spoken (in person and from audio teachings or Bible cf. Romans 10:17)

- Read It Prayerfully (Matthew 19:4)

- Study It, Yep, Store Up the Word of God in Your Heart (cf. Ezra 7:10)

- Memorize It.. Verses and Passages For The Purpose of Wise Application. Let the rubber meet the road so to speak. Get it into your daily mind, mouth and life (cf. Psalm 1:2 cf. Psalm 119:11)

- Meditate On It (Psalm 119:11 says, "I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you." This Book will keep you from sin, and sin will keep you from this Book.. and from your first Love relationship)

More examples:

15 I will meditate on your precepts and fix my eyes on your ways.

16 I will delight in your statutes; I will not forget your word.

23 Even though princes sit plotting against me, your servant will meditate on your statutes. (v. 23)

27 Make me understand the way of your precepts, and I will meditate on your wondrous works. (v. 27)

These verses (along with others, vv. 48 78, 93, 97, 99) attest to the importance of remembering, recalling, and ruminating on the Word of God.

Psalm 119:43 and 46 recount the way lovers of God talk about the Word (also very edifying).

43 And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth, for my hope is in your rules.

46 I will also speak of your testimonies before kings and shall not be put to shame,

Proactively seek out the healthy places where God’s word is exposited.. is faithfully taught, yes, all the counsels of God. I mean taught and preached from growing believers and pastors that are spiritual instead of carnal, lukewarm, distracted, nominal, or worldly. As Psalm 119:45, 94 states..

45 and I shall walk in a wide place, for I have sought your precepts.

94 I am yours; save me, for I have sought your precepts.

The key verb here in these two verses is “seek/sought.” Indeed, laziness will not be rewarded with spiritual fullness. God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek the living word.

Remember, all truth is God’s truth, and His Bible truths are learned in the midst of hard-fought, faith-motivated obedience. Got some afflictions, opposition or trials? Don’t waste your sorrows or sufferings, learn from them. Learn from the godly and from those who are not -- what never to become. As Psalm 119:59, 60, 67 remind us,

59 When I think on my ways, I turn my feet to your testimonies;

60 I hasten and do not delay to keep your commandments.

67 Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I keep your word.

As Jesus’ own faithfulness to God the Father teaches us (see Heb 12:2). He obeyed His Father Scripturally -- He wisely applied the principles. Our obedience to the word can teach us daily. God’s joy and rewards come on the other side of obedience to His authoritative directives. We can't earn His blessings, but we can know the joy of following close.

Do you obey delegated authorities short of sinning? That’s important too. Takes some humility. This is what it means to carry the cross—regardless of feelings.. doing what God’s Word commands us to do or not do, enduring hardship by the power of the Spirit, and even putting the pleasures of sin to death, because we believe that obedience to God is the path to lasting joy, and real happiness.

Do you know the Lord personally? Did you better know Him before, not just know of churchy stuff or know of Him? Many people know of Him, but not Him and God's SO knowable by His word. He can still speak to and guide you.

It’s kinda like with a hotel. (John 1:12-13, 3:3)l. We each must make our reservations in advance. Now is good. Heute. Jetzt. I don’t mean mañana, cuz you might forget. Choose life today. Live ..in Christ. Get home before dark. It’s been dark, but it’s quickly been getting much darker out. Fish4souls.org
