Life isn’t about all that you can..

..gather and accumulate down here on this side of eternity. No, no. It is about Who you really know, those you in obedience tactfully gather unto Him.. Jesus Christ ..and about all that you righteously gather and wisely accumulate for eternity.

By faith, truth, and strong love.. keep on storing up treasures if you will.. for Christ in heaven.

"I will go before you and make the crooked places straight; I will break in pieces the gates of bronze and cut the bars of iron. I will give you the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places, that you may know that I, the Lord, who call you by your name, Am the God of Israel." 45/2-3isa. facebook.com/shareJESUS

Why construct any type of rostrum-belvedere to export...

..a clear amplification of a message to, and or over the top of a very noisy crowd.. if you're really just "a taker" rather than "a giver," really deep down a mere feel-good preacher of sorts, or a false teacher instead of being a value-adding Christian equipper and soul-winner with a real Purpose that addresses the root issue of every individual?

Why waste any more time.. why have a lesser message, an inferior message or even do anything like that at all, if you're not a red-hot, strong, Christ-exalting, mature believer that's spiritual in the biblical sense of the term, instead of being worldly, miss-focused, self-aggrandizing, lukewarm or carnal… or at least wanting to grow up in Christ?

Why try to lay up your treasures here on earth, when there is a God who loves you and an enemy who hates you, and when all this temporal stuff that so many people live for... will soon be gone?

You already know how there are just too many people out there actively propagating a non-constructive message and have this so called tool - a podium of some kind - yes, this gift if you will (and hopefully their intentions are good where they'd do better if they only knew better ..and give out Good News that others could really use.. in doing good), but so many never address the real issue, the heart of the problem, the primary need of their constituents.

God's Word commands us to find out, "what is acceptable to the Lord. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret. But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light. Therefore He says: 'Awake, you who sleep, Arise from the dead, And Christ will give you light.' See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is" (Eph. 5:10-17, nkjv).

The Apostle Paul exclaimed, "..we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block and to the Greeks foolishness, but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men" (1 Cor. 1:23-25, nkjv).

I say that we choose to be different and quit applying a lame bandage on the cancer victim so to speak. Yes, be more bold like Paul and simply go tell people about the only Cure - Jesus Christ. God can empower and make you and me different in a good sort of Way. We can learn how to tell people old truth in a fresh new,  but biblical way that really helps them most.

Got a gift to use on the construction team, instead of the demolition crew? Hey, you're life is a gift, so get out there and make it count for Him instead of for you.  facebook.com/shareJESUS  or do see needHim.org

More than one believer and local pastor here in the South has asked me recently...

..how the whole "Harvest America thing," will work.. and of course I am not the best person to answer (for this effort will be "a first" in not only American Church history, but in Church History in general).. but since people have asked me (one among many learn-as-ya go kinda guys), and the idea is better than excellent, I will give it a shot.

A:  With much prayer from God's family added in, it will workout way fantastic to the glory of God!

I'm feel so amped about it. Harvest Crusades already has been used greatly, and has been such a great thing / tool for reaping for so many years now.. internationally. Yeah, this now is just a major step forward with what God has already been doing through Greg and Harvest Crusades. They have a good name, their hearts are in the right place with Christ, and are doing things biblically for the applause of One.

"If Jesus Christ be God and died for me, then no sacrifice can be too great for me to make for Him." ~ C.T. Studd

"For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again." Paul, 2 Corinthians 5:14,15

You know how in many U.S. cities today, even here in Dallas, there are (for lack of a better name..) several regional churches of sorts, with multiple locations. They have different local, indigenous worship teams, helps teams, training classes, follow up, and special music offered in each location, with a pastoral staff in each place as well.

And yet once a week or so they are simulcasting the teaching pastor's Bible Message from the main church location to all into different regions/counties/suburbs. A huge screen slowly drops down as the worship ends.. and the funny thing about it is that you kinda forget quickly and the teaching is presented, that you're not even hearing the pastor face-to-face in person there, but you end up walking away totally edified and blessed – it just works and God has been using it. Now imagine that same kinda thing effectively happening from a full Angel Stadium soul-winning effort. Exciting is too weak a word! The tears will pour down our faces as we see thousands respond to trust Christ as Savior.  Personally, I haven't been to or seen one where there wasn't a huge response as God drew in the net at these events. Not to pedestal-ize him, but Greg indeed has a gift that he's been sharpening through much use.

It's already been working year after year ..and more and more each year.. as people watch on their computers,  phones, iPads, Google TV etc. Well it's basically time to take this whole thing to the next level, by adding in a more personal touch to cyber-mass-evangelism that sees the people won to Jesus one by one as each makes their own decision to repent and believe.

You know how with a normal face to face crusade, there is typically much in the way of personal connection (before, during and even after the event by way of responsible follow-up). There are trained counselors and pastors there –for one-on-one time and for one with a small group time.

But when ya check out a mere webcast, it's not quite there like that, and it's much easier for the hearers to get distracted or to become disengaged to the point of people being like a mere spectator off on a far away island, rather than a participant on site with the team. This new Harvest America effort will change that to a large degree – the team is closing the distance if you will, and bringing God's important work nearer, making it seem more real.. even though it already is real.

Dan and I fairly recently met with John Collins here in Dallas before Greg preached to a huge group of men, and now John with Scot Camden have been sending out some regular webinars that thoroughly deal with the H.A. logistics and the tremendous prayer need

Gobs of believers are praying and the ball is already rolling - it's picking up some speed, but we really can't encourage prayer for August 26th enough. We want God to even now prepare the hearts of all those who will hear the Message there in SoCal and in the host locations.

My wonderful friend, Dan Southern, is currently traveling in Michigan this week to present the clear vision for Harvest America (so please do pray for Him, as well as for Greg Laurie, John Collins and the whole team as more preparations are being made. August 26th will be here in a flash). Local pastors and church leaders here in the South have been signing up to get involved here. This is basically another good place for them to ask questions, receive prayer, and get more coaching and info about Harvest America. God bless you as you serve the One who gave it all to save lost people - Jesus Christ.

Ever asked yourself this question: Why has God blessed America so much?

Really wanna know why He has? it's a good question huh. I know some reasons why. Wanna know? Ok, you're on.

Here's why.. traditionally America has opted to be a blessing to God's Jewish people (and guess what, we as a people really need to keep standing with those in Israel against all the evil mounted against them).

Here's another reason why God has blessed this country.. it's because America has been a free country, and God really loves freedom. He said the truth will set us free and that's why He gave us the truth in the Bible. He so wants all people to be freed ..asap.. yes, in the fullest sense of the term, instead of remaining enslaved in any sorta way. So what's not to love about that? As we hear, read, and seek to know the truth and then apply what we know to be true, then we each can enjoy true freedom even when it perhaps for some.. seemed that we would never enjoy freedom again. Do you have friends that have a vice, a monkey of some sort on their back. Start to pray hard for them now and as God leads you, go share His truth with them. Invite them to a church that will give them an opportunity to turn and be born again in Jesus Christ. That's the one step program for em (not to slight other decent multi-step programs).

God has blessed America because 75 percent of missionaries that have been sent out to evangelize and disciple in other Lands, have been from America. Yes, God gave us the Great Commandment and the Great Commission (our world-wide missionary mandate) with some very good reasons in mind ...and people that we know far away and even close by.. are some of those reasons.

God's heart still beats for Missions. Believer, have you yet discovered what part God would have you play if you will.. in His world missions plan? Has He called you to go, to tell, to send another believer, to give, to pray ..or all of the above? Being in the center of God's will is the best place for you to be.. any day of the week.

Did you know America contains only approximately 5% of the world's population? I love my country of America. It's far from perfect, but we have had some wonderful, godly leaders here in the past, and some wonderful on-fire Christian people as well. God has blessed America because it was founded upon biblical principles and upon freedom in seeking to know and worship Jesus Christ.

Have we had our share of false teachers before? Sure, sadly way too many.. even within the walls of some of our churches ..just teaching away. They mix truth with error in the Name of Jesus and it gives the Gospel a black eye. And we have allowed this and many have supported these greedy, self-centered losers. It's time for us to wake up, to not allow this any more, and get back to the Bible so that we will know who to listen to and who not to listen to.

We've had some of the most fruitful ministers and Christian soul-winners as well.. Christians who really practice what they preach. I thank God for Billy Graham and his son.. and for my California pastors Chuck Smith and Greg Laurie, men who have faithfully taught all the counsels of God from Scripture. I thank God for Jack Graham and many other great Baptist and Evangelical pastors who are working to see America turn back to Christ. There are so many Christ-exalting, wonderful preachers and teachers in America still. It's the Message that we need to take heed to. Therefore this is a good day for Americans to find.. and go back to healthy Bible teaching churches. We all need fellowship with mature believers to be strong in Christ.

Since the '20's, there have been 1800 missions agencies established in America, and the churches in this country have given a lot and prayed a lot and sent out a lot - over 350,000 missionaries to serve practically and to clearly preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

And we've seen God save people as a result. Is there anything more exciting than that.. sowing seed, watering, and reaping a harvest of people into God's Kingdom? No! I love to be around where this is happening and to help out where I can. God had one Son and He was a missionary who left His Home up in heaven to come save you and me. It's cuz God is a missionary kinda God. Like me, do you want to see America blessed in the future? We need to pray as if our life depends upon it then.. and vote wisely, and not allowing any creepy, dishonest politician steal an election. Are you willing to be used of God as a missionary or a missionary-like witness of the truth.. I mean right here at home? So many are not yet Christian right here in America even though so many go to churches, but if our hearts would be changed inside, then our Land will be blessed again. Jesus talked about us being for Him or against Him (no in-between), He explained how we each were/are either gathering people with Him into His Kingdom, or simply scattering people away. Who are you influencing towards righteousness? What is your life doing in this regard? What are your words doing for those around you?

Do you have a wayward family member or a lost friend that you really want to see get right with the Lord?

Join us then in praying, in enthusiastically talking about, and in preparing with Greg Laurie for Harvest America on August 26th, 1012. Together we want America to hear about the Bible Jesus! This is basically going to be "simulcast evangelism" at it's finest, coming from Angel Stadium in SoCal to every city and town in the USA.. to as many want to hear.

Perhaps you know of a pastor that you could respectfully approach and encourage to get involved in this great day of evangelism? My friend, Dan Southern, and I have been seeking to assist and get as many pastors as we can, that desire to make a real difference for America, to register for this nation-wide eventSure, we want all of them with their congregations as well as you.. way blessed of God. And you can help.

To date, Harvest America has had 656 host venue locations with pastors commit to being apart, but we still need a lot more pastors and venues to reach more Americans in need.

"True revival will not happen until God's people are broken over their sin." ~ Trent Griffith

If "the nations are as a drop in a bucket, and are counted as the small dust on the scales" (see Isa. 40:15, nkjv)... then when ya stop and think about it... how much trouble is it for the Lord of the entire universe to basically change the heart of a nation so to speak.. wooing, convicting, and turning them wholeheartedly back to Himself for their own good?

And how difficult is it for Him to do this for your straying loved one? How hard would it be for God to heal our Land as we in America turn from our wicked ways? Blessings.. they'll come after we turn to and obey the Bless-er, simple as that! Hey gang, there is indeed hope for America and it is in none other than in the Person of Jesus Christ. From and in Him all blessings flow.

I challenge you to pray more and bigger

Is anything too hard for the Lord. Naww, there really ain't nothin' that He can't handle. So why don't we stop and pray more often then? Why don't we pray for impossible situations more often? Surely the praying for those situations isn't presumption, even though we must be careful not to walk in presumption. How big do you pray and live... big enough for you to handle all by yourself, or big enough for God to handle without any help? I challenge you to pray more and bigger ..for nations and others in need even.

"In God's presence the devil is a wimp. Satan is to God what a mosquito is to an atomic bomb." ~ Max Lucado

It's so easy for me to get distracted off into mere doing stuff..even when I know I need God to fix an un-fixable situation, rather than drawing aside to pray. Sometimes I personally just pray that I can stop and go pray and God helps me with even that. The Bible says, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus" (Phil. 4:6-7).

And I also love what James wrote on this, "Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working" (5:14-16).

But is your situation impossible? Well, check out what impossible thing God did with Tabithia here, "But Peter put them all outside, and knelt down and prayed; and turning to the body he said, 'Tabitha, arise.' And she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter she sat up" (Acts 9:40).

Who do you look to today as your ultimate source? Who do you look to.. to see that your needs are met? It would appear that too many believers are still looking to the world some and to themselves to meet all their needs, but I dare you to look to God to meet all your needs and then work hard and smart at what He wants you doing.

Yeah, I just want to encourage and edify you in the Lord so that you will feel motivated to pray in biblical faith. Yeah, it's my prayer that as you meditate upon the following verses that you will take them to heart, pray for your friends and loved ones, and really trust God to come through for you and them. Ask big. Ask God to guide you in prayer and for His wisdom, discernment, insight, sense of urgency so that you will know how to pray as you should. facebook.com/shareJESUS

I found the right Life and Book and...

..both are simple, so now.. how can I tell Michael here in Dallas the Gospel? How can I share about Jesus Christ and His cross along with the empty tomb... in a way where He will recognize the ginormus personal significance, God?

Lord, I trust You to give me and us wisdom, to give the best tone, timing, love and appropriate words. Help be straightforward and sincere, and me keep it simple enough without being simplistic. Thanks. In Jesus Name. Amen.

"One day I will find the right words, and they will be simple." ~ Jack Kerouac

"Make things as simple as possible but no simpler." ~ Albert Einstein

The Gospel is the power of God and is simple enough for a child to grasp.. or for a college professor to get it. Tell it clearly. I love how far reaching It can be. It's for whosoever hears and wants this salvation. God freely offers salvation by grace alone through faith alone in the work of Jesus Christ alone to the Glory of God alone. It is not at all limited to a specific ethnic group or to individuals of a certain intellectual level or location. God's immeasurable saving grace extends to all, without distinction of race, income level, nationality, ethnicity, or intellectual ability. Why? It's cuz He loves us all the same.

Paul said, "For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek." 1/16rom

What is the Gospel? Well see what Paul said in 1 Corinthians 15:4 and then perhaps stop by facebook.com/shareJesus

Love em even when they are rad-unloveable.

There's not one person that I have ever won to the Lord who said, "How uncompassionate! I don't know why I turned to the Lord that He was telling me about today, cuz I really don't like Kurt at all."

Do they wear on you and sometimes say the wrong thing. The Bible says, "Love.. endures all things" (13/7onecor).

I'm far from perfect, and don't want to live to please people ahead of my Lord, but let's allow them to see Jesus in us today. "Three quarters of the people you will ever meet are hungering and thirsting for sympathy. Give it to them, and they will love you." ~ Dale Carnegie, facebook.com/shareJesus

If prayer.. why not fervent prayer in the Son ..relying upon Him instead of on you?

found myself brainstorming this morning. had a few ideas about what to inject and reject on my to-do-list, and about a wedding i plan on doin'. could be worse i guess (glad i didn't have zero ideas), but i could be PRAYSTORMING instead of mere BRAINSTORMING. had to hit restart. my prayer on this day: CONTINUE TO RAISE UP A PRAYERFUL FISH-for-peeps kinda REMNANT IN THIS LAND ..FOR THE GLORY OF GOD.

this world has yet to see WHAT THE LORD CAN DO through ONE PERSON fully consecrated to the BIBLE-GOD. why not you..me..each of us? why not here, now, today, startin' alone in the presence of the Lord?

WHO YOU BECOME or not become will be determined by HOW YOU PRAY IN GOD'S SPIRIT or according to how you don't pray at all. do pray, looking to God instead of to the world to meet all your needs.

caring for others starts on your knees. choose to abide instead of strive. be always communing instead of consuming. dream BIG in HIM who is BIGGER. PRAY fervently and specifically. think deeper and longer.. meditating on truth.

if we are encouraged in HIM and pray regularly, then i just know that IRREGULAR things will happen...on a regular basis...yes, that needs will be met..that it'll also put a big smile on the face of Jesus and other faces too..cuz God likes to bless more than His kids like to be blessed.

The Bible says, "Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much." 5/16jam.

"To be a Christian without prayer is no more possible than to be alive without breathing." ~ Martin Luther

I'm sure you already know that God hears all the prayers of spiritually born again believers (see John 3) and, yes, as a loving perfect Father He answers us with a "yes", a "no", or a "wait" knowing what is best for each one of us. Have you learned to hear the voice of God. Do you stop long enough to hear from Him? Have you yet turned from personal sin to trust the Savior for His free gift of righteousness? Do you want to become one that God uses to impact others in a good Way? www.facebook.com/sharejesus

Yeah, pray first, then walk like and talk about Jesus. "Winners of souls must first be weepers of souls." ~ C.H. Spurgeon

Believers, it's when the Lord speaks n illumines the depths of our hearts - that's when we are truly refreshed and equipped to go refresh the lives of others. When you're weary in life's struggles, find renewing strength in Jesus the living Word who said, "He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water." ~ 7/38jn.

I was just asked a really great question...and perhaps you also have a question about witnessing or eternal life?

Q.  Don't you need to be led by the Holy Spirit to witness to somebody who needs you to tell it, or do you just go witness to any stranger anytime anywhere?

Never been asked that before. Love it.

A.  I say don't wait for a feeling, believer, but go be a witness and go verbally witness in love to any stranger, family member, or friend as the Holy Spirit leads you.

Thank you for the good question (and perhaps other believers who read this might have some other Bible verses to inject below). The question makes me think about the Great Commission which as you know, shouldn't be the great omission for us believers.. and about the Great Commandment that deals with loving our neighbors..regardless of what we feel. And I know that you didn't mention feelings at all, but I've discovered many believers here in the South believe that they will always feel something every time the Spirit leads them to do anything to glorify God, and so too many here wait too long for the feeling to arrive.

Sadly, many churches here teach this kinda thing.

Now, God works in us believers both to will and to do of His good pleasure in that order, but that doesn't mean we will ever feel like washing dirty feet, or visiting a prisoner behind bars, or even the sick at their bedside etc.

Jesus our Example was of course led by the Holy Spirit as He perfectly went about witnessing for the Father and then He told His followers to go and do that.

When someone in authority over me commands me to do something good, then I want to know their timing and go do it before I feel like it. And it is wise to witness to open unbelievers and to pray for closed unbelievers..until they become more open to the things of God. But sometimes I can't discover if the stranger is open or closed to the Gospel until I start to tell them about Jesus..then I find out quickly.

Of course you and I never want to go around casting our pearls before swine or shoving truth on someone who has their palm up saying "Really don't want to hear that." Wouldn't be respectful.

Therefore in conclusion, I say go witness as the Holy Spirit leads you, rather than mere feelings lead cuz Christ said, "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen" (Mat. 28:19-20).. and in that context I really can't see "feel", or "goose bumps", or "Get a vision first, before you go to witness", or "a liver quiver" or even "Wait 'til you're smacked on the forehead and slain in the Spirit or 'til someone with the anointing prophesies over you first" (not at all tryin'to be funny here or say you're like that, just answering you). facebook.com/shareJesus

"ThenLetUsCelebrateWithAFeast." Do u have a son or daughter in n out..but currently out there in the world? So sorry for the hurt with that, but it's still too early to cease prayin' for em. Overheard Chuck Swindoll once say somethin' like..During these evil days, grace-filled fathers of wayward prodigals need to be prepared to slaughter the feast-calf for returning rebels multiple times (Read Luke 15:23).

Just had and enjoyed a primo opportunity to talk with one hopeless guy named, Kelly

Yeah, I felt so privileged to "witness" as they call it to this man, an officer, about spiritual matters, over a cup of Starbucks coffee for about an hour this morning. It started when he told me that he had no hope for our country, for his kids, or for himself personally. He feels that he's been working hard, but is getting nowhere—basically existing in this tough economy.

Among other things, he'd lost his wife who came from a wealthy home and decided she didn't like his low income anymore ..so she up and left him. No anger or hate there. He said that he really tried his best to land a better job, but couldn't find one anywhere.

His children mainly stay with his ex-wife now and he misses them dearly as you can imagine.

Kelly was very open and reasonable to talk with, but in his younger days he felt disillusioned and even burned by some religious hypocrites from his stiff religious and traditional church.

We were discussing how a small or large people group or even any individual can gain and experience ongoing hope and peace in a two way relationship with the Lord as we looked at this verse "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land" (2 Chronicles 7:14).

I'm glad that in Christ we have valid reasons to hope—we ..any of us really.. have good promises about hope that we can stand on. You know how it's not so important what I or other people have to say about real hope-acquisition, but it is important what your Maker has to say about it. Believers aactually need to prayerfully meditate upon, memorize, and act upon what He has to say this...
"The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing." Zephaniah 3:17

"Jesus said to her, 'Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.'" John 4:13-14

"Know that wisdom is such to your soul; if you find it, there will be a future, and your hope will not be cut off." Proverbs 24:14

"While he was still speaking, there came from the ruler's house some who said, 'Your daughter is dead. Why trouble the Teacher any further?' But overhearing what they said, Jesus said to the ruler of the synagogue, 'Do not fear, only believe.'" Mark 5:35-36

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope." Jeremiah 29:11

"Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen." Hebrews 11:1

"Most people, if they had really learned to look into their own hearts, would know that they do want, and want acutely, something that cannot be had in this world. There are all sorts of things in this world that offer to give it to you, but they never quite keep their promise." ~ C.S. Lewis

"God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it?" Numbers 23:19

It was interesting to hear him tell me the whole story how earlier he had a mother who prayed for him daily and was so brokenhearted when he ditched his church and quickly ran off to marry that upwardly mobile young wife.

I can't even imagine the rending, disappointment, and deep pain that he and his kids went through as a result of that divorce. But what joy it was to share about the living hope that I have. Got to tell him how I was in the 70's (a selfish, empty partier without any hope), what happened to me when I admitted it and quit it—I mean the sinful behavior I used to enjoy and how I had a little talk with God about it all, inviting Christ on in. And I also explained how things are now in my life.. told him how my life ain't always easy or problem-free, but it sure is much better, my needs are met, I'm forgiven, I have a deep abiding peace inside with hope, and even fulfillment in the Word of God as I seek to follow Him.

What's so cool is that Kelly now trusts Christ as his Savior and Lord. I'm talking about the real Jesus in the Bible, not some of the off-base get-cha-monetarily-rich kinda Christs, that people hear about over the airwaves.

Yeah, I know this might sound so hyper-churchy to you and all, but Kelly now has a hope that is real inside. He has chosen to believe in God's Son, Jesus Christ, and in His finished work on Calvary's cross as the full payment for his own sins. It happened – he was regenerated - after verbalizing a sincere prayer of repentance and faith.

I have a new friend today (Kelly) ..who has a much better new Friend today (God).. and I have invited him to a sound church with, yes, an imperfect spiritually born again, but mature pastor that teaches the Bible accurately and with grace. Do you need to go to God today, and then to a sound church that preaches Christ and all people should repent and believe? I call such, "Hope Central." It's a place for finding new hope. www.facebook.com/shareJesus

He got up, didn't stay on his blessed assurance, went to, and clearly told his friend of Christ expecting to win him over to Him. "Philip found Nathanael and said to him, 'We found Him of whom Moses in the law, and also the prophets, wrote - Jesus of Nazareth..'" 1/45jn.

Perhaps you'd like a good Promise on-fire-preacher, home-study leader, loyal witness, diligent teacher, passionate fisher, servant-missionary with a global outlook..yeah, to ignite your hearers for the Cause of Christ. Here's one: "Therefore thus says the Lord God of hosts: 'Because you speak this word, behold, I will make My Words in your mouth fire, and this people wood, and it shall devour them.'" (5/14jer).

National Day of Prayer Day... Glad 'Bout That!

Feelin' so SO glad that we can still earnestly seek to know Jesus Christ and then seek to make Him known here. How cool that we can out loud pray for others and other nations around us. We should never take this for granted. Perhaps leaders will some and go who want to and who don't want to pray, but today we are not forced to bow on a little rug towards Mecca to pray (as if!) or to some dumb idol in another locale. No way! We can pray in a fruitful Way!

Yes, what a blessing it is just to enjoy fellowship with, and call out in faith to the living God - the Bible God - who really does love to hear and respond to His children's prayers. Our corporate and individual praying to Him can make a difference because that is what He is all about - changing lives and nations. Do love this privilege? I hope so. Where will you find a place to get alone with Him, or to join in with other believers to love to pray? Let's apply what we know in prayer for Americans today.

Sure, even if those in Washington - our so called leaders - opt not to pray today in the mighty Name of Jesus Christ, we can still pray for our Nation today ...and even do it every single day we are here!

No one has lopped off your head or mine as yet, so our job here in not yet done. How can I motivate you to do what you already know? Let not your heart be downcast, let's go for it along with sound churches all over the place. Let's trust the Lord to grant true repentance here, yes, give more grace, more insight with discernment, more understanding, more wisdom with holy fear, and simply intervene for these blind people around us ...and yes, turn this nation (or yours if you are living outside of the USA) completely around to Him. We used to be blind and perhaps we still have some blind-spots - God can fix even that. Personally, I am also praying for the upcoming: HarvestAmerica.com that many will turn to Christ on August 26th 2012. If you would like your church to be a part of that, then please talk with your pastor and write me below.

You know how "fear" is called the sister of unbelief and often that's what opens the door for unbelief. Fear stinks. Let's shove all personal fears aside, stamp on em, and then believe the God who said...

"if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer.."  7/15TwoChron.

Believers, you know how we are ultimately citizens of heaven before we are citizens of our respective countries. We are servant-pilgrims living among the nations and we have the responsibility to pray for all men (people). We're just passing through and need to make the most of our time here. Today many people in this great Land have a lot of different views of prayer and of God, but we can and have chosen to pray biblically ...in faith to the God of the Bible and He indeed will hear us. May we earnestly, fervently, expectantly, and yes.. in faith rather than with doubt. Let's pray for our nation to recognize where we have gone wrong and repent so that we can once again as a people put Christ the King first ahead of every other priority. Let revisionists do as they please, but this Land was founded by an over-taxed, religiously and politically repressed people who wanted to get away from that to focus upon Christ and Biblical principles of worship. It's time we return to Him on His terms, vote wisely, and put government back in it's place.

I challenge you to pray today like you mean it. You remember how Moses interceded for Israel, asking that God would glorify Himself by showing mercy to this sinful people. Yes, as a testimony to the other nations around them. He had a missionary heart.. "Pardon the iniquity of this people, I pray, according to the greatness of Your mercy" (Num. 14:19, nkjv).

Also King Hezekiah voiced, "I pray.. that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that You alone, O Lord, are God" (2 Kgs. 19:19, nasb).

And don't forget how David prayed for his people who were suffering quite a bit because of the rebellious acts of their (former choice of a so called leader), King Saul. You know how one of the judgments that God can give to a nation is simply allowing them as a people to have the leader that they demand ...and unfortunately that has happened in American on more than one occasion, but God will also be merciful to us if we call out to him. He has granted us godly leaders before as well. The Bible says, "God was moved by prayer for the land" (2 Sam. 21:14, kjv). facebook.com/shareJesus
