She bad. Who? Once upon a time, there was this lady from a far away exotic culture...

Her name was Athaliah, and yes, she was bad to the bone!

Tell it! Who in the world was she?

Who was she really? Athaliah — she bad! Yes, she was one really wicked girl that’s who she was.

How’d she get that way?

I’m not totally sure. The bad behavior is not really beyond any of us, so lets walk wisely.  She bad, but now is sad.

Athaliah was a very evil person in the Bible and guess what.. she had become queen of Judah from 841–835 BC.

Factoid: She was the only female monarch to sit on David’s throne in biblical history.

Athaliah was the daughter of two very evil parents, King Ahab and Queen Jezebel of Israel. It’s true, and she married Jehoram, the eldest son of Judah’s King Jehoshophat.

Yep, her time as a ruler is right between centuries of evil monarchs who ruled ..and where? Right amids some rulers who reigned over Judah and Israel. Please learn never to think or act like her or them.

“Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts!” Psalm 139:23 esv

You know that selfishness and selfish ambition are rooted in our sinful nature.

“Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world — the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life— is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.” 1 John 2:15–17 esv

Every leader will be tempted to operate in selfishness — some have even gotten into that position by selfishness. Watch over your heart (thankfully, I’m not currently around such self-promotion tactics).

It seems to me like “the authority test” regarding Direct and delegated human authorities seems to come back around again and again for us all no matter where we might live. Hey, it’s important for each of us to quickly recognize who is in authority over us, how they got there (if we’re able to see it), and to submit to real authority.. always in a way that’s right/short of sinning. Ever had a person in authority tell you to do something wrong?.. or a right thing in the wrong way? Who hasn’t right? Let’s humbly appeal, but not to the wrong thing or the right thing in the wrong way. Duh.

The authority test comes around in workplaces, in nations, in local churches, in homes, in schools etc., and yes, it’s so important to pass the tests that God allows us to experience.

Seems like when I go easy on myself (as my old fleshly nature demands), life just seems to go tougher on me. But when I go tough on me (in the right kind of way [dying to my fleshly nature]), then life goes easier on me in the right kind of way.

When someone is selfishly ambitious and acts upon this to gain power at any cost..hey, that is a bad thing. It’s bad for people. It becomes bad for a few and then for a lot of people.

When an individual (or even a so called Chrsitian individual..) becomes eager or over-eager to quickly be promoted upwards, then what good will come from that? No good.

It’s seen as vogue in our world today — climbing the corporate ladder, and social climbing too (some put themselves up wrongly). Vogue in our world today is the social mobility, the status and position seeking, the cleaver vertical mobility.

Athaliah was that way. She was a passionate, avid Baal zealot, and she with her wickedness had rivaled the level of wickedness of those kings who came before and after her. Man, you’ve got to read and learn about her —what not to be. It’s such a unique story that can first be found in 2 Kings 11 and then 2 Chronicles 22–23.

“Now when Athaliah the mother of Ahaziah saw that her son was dead, she arose and destroyed all the royal heirs of the house of Judah. But Jehoshabeath, the daughter of the king, took Joash the son of Ahaziah, and stole him away from among the king’s sons who were being murdered, and put him and his nurse in a bedroom. So Jehoshabeath, the daughter of King Jehoram, the wife of Jehoiada the priest (for she was the sister of Ahaziah), hid him from Athaliah so that she did not kill him. And he was hidden with them in the house of God for six years, while Athaliah reigned over the land.” (Verses 10–12) See the whole context.

What.. happened? Athaliah’s husband, Jehoram, was king of Judah until he died in 841 BC. Unlike his father, Jehoram who was a wicked king. Wicked Athaliah’s son, Ahaziah, at the age of 22, ascended to the throne, and proved himself just as evil as his own father (2 Kings 8:18, 25–27).

Athaliah of course counseled her son in his selfish/devilish schemes (2 Chronicles 22:3). Ahaziah served as king of Judah for less than one year, for he was assassinated along with Israel’s ailing king, Joram.

Their assassin was who? It was Jehu, who had originally been a commander in King Ahab’s army (2 Kings 9:5, 25).

Remember when Elisha the prophet of the Lord had anointed Jehu as the new king of Israel and had commissioned him as an instrument of the Lord to carry out God’s judgment on wicked King Ahab along with his entire idolatrous family (Yeah, they deserved it. See 1 Kings 19:1–17; 2 Kings 9:1–13).

Jehu’s mission of ending Ahab’s sick dynasty included putting even more wicked Jezebel and her sons to death.

Ahaziah happened to be visiting Joram when Jehu arrived to assassinate Joram, and Ahaziah was killed, too.

Then what happened? Well, when Athaliah received word that her son was dead, she decided to act. She seized the opportunity to self-exalt. She did a classic power grab. She usurped the throne by murdering Ahaziah’s sons — her own grandsons — thus eradicating the entire royal family so she could just take the throne for herself. But unbeknownst to Athaliah, a single grandchild escaped that horrific bloody massacre.

Remember, Mrs. Jehoshabeath the daughter of King Jehoram? She was the baby’s aunt and the wife of the high priest Jehoiada and she took the infant Joash and hid him and his nurse in a bedroom. Joash was later smuggled out of the castle and taken to the temple, where he remained hidden during the years (6 of em) while Queen Athaliah enjoyed the power. Yes, while she reigned over the land (2 Kings 11:1–3).

So what did that really bad ruler do with all her power? As queen, Athaliah proactively used her influence to help and motivate the people to get right with God, and to serve and worship Him alone. Nope, that didn’t happen because she was wicked. She didn’t do that even a little, but she did further establish Baal worship in Judah, installing weird priests and building weird altars for her weird idol (all idolatry is super weird..) in the very temple of the Lord (See 2 Kings 11:18; 2 Chronicles 24:7). In this way Athaliah followed in the footsteps of her super weird, blood-thirsty mother, Jezebel. Interestingly, the name Athaliah means either “God is exalted” or “dealt violently with by God.” Queen Athaliah did not exalt God with her life but exalted herself; instead, and God dealt violently with her.

After Athaliah had reigned six years (can you imagine, God actually allowed that to happen for a time!!), the high priest Jehoiada set guards around the temple and publicly crowned the young Joash as the rightful king. As the new king was anointed, “the people clapped their hands and shouted, ‘Long live the king!’” (2 Kings 11:12).

Ms. Athaliah heard the commotion, wondered about it, then realized what was happening, and she ran out of the palace shouting (falsely), “Treason! Treason!” (verse 13).

Jehoiada then commanded the troops to capture Ms. Athaliah and just execute her, and so they quickly killed that queen “where the horses enter the palace grounds” (verse 16). Seven-year-old King Joash, under the direction of the faithful high priest (under Direct Authority [God] and under delegated authority), did some good! He tore down the temple of Baal, smashed the altars and images of Baal, and killed the priest of Baal. And “all the people of the land rejoiced, and the city was calm, because Athaliah had been slain” (verse 20).

A person who would properly function under authority must properly be and live under authority. Sure, and to obey is better than sacrifice. Have you ever sinned one time with your attitude or actions? Hint: We all have. You could repent and put yourself under Direct Authority today if you choose. That’s a good and wise place to start

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” Romans 3:23 kjv

The Bible warns us all, “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked [He will not allow Himself to be ridiculed, nor treated with contempt nor allow His precepts to be scornfully set aside]; for whatever a man sows, this and this only is what he will reap.” Galatians 6:7 amp

Yep, whatever a man, woman, boy, or girl sows.. that they will also reap.

Check The Motives of Your Heart…

1.) In your quiet time of prayer, ask God to search you thoroughly (Psalm 139:23).
2.) Ask yourself the hard questions of life.
  • Am I self-exalting myself, drawing attention to myself, or rebelling against authority?
  • Must I be a deligated authority no matter what.. why? Do I feel that I need Jesus inside plus something more? Do I crave the applause of the crowd or from God alone?
  • Am I doing things to be recognized by some people, or to gain a position of “power”.. to become seen, to become respected, or just to be loved by others?
  • If no one expressed appreciation or rewarded me for the things I do would I continue to do it? Would I do things God’s way for God’s glory alone?
  • Would I do whatever the Lord asks of me even if it seems minor, low or insignificant?
  • If criticism and attacks are launched against me for what I’m doing the right way.. will I walk away and quit?
  • Do I manipulate others to get my way or my position above others?
  • Do I have a bad case or mild case of “I”itus. It really isn't about me or you. Am I always “me”, “myself”, “mine” and “I” focused? Am I only in it when there’s something for me?
3.) Ask God the Father to align you with His world-changing biblical plan of JOY (Jesus first, others second, yourself last).

What does the Bible say about humility?

What does the Bible say about vanity?

What does it mean to do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit (Philippians 2:3)?

There of course is a good kind of ambition (it isn’t selfish) — what does the Bible say about ambition?

What does the Bible say about selfishness? ..or say about jealousy? ..or say about envy?

Are you an American and sometimes wonder about our President and how he got to be in power? Do you wonder about that in another Land regarding your leader? Are the people of the nation..for the most part.. godly? Has God allowed this to happen? For what purpose? What can we learn?

What are some modern forms of idolatry? Are you your idol?

What does the Bible say about putting self first — what are we to apply in this selfie culture?

When we ask God to search us, guess what.. He indeed will. And when He searches us, He will reveal the inner unseen motives of our heart. He will expose the things that need to be exposed in order for there to be correction before things get really bad. He wants to bless you, so never forget that He can help you correct it. Tell on yourself to Him before sin hurts and destroys and then others tell on you to Him and to others. God can make repentance easier.

After you ask God to search you.. after you truly repent when needed, then ask Him to align you in your mind and spirit with His eternal purpose. Yes, with His world-changing will for your life. He can do that for you when you first check your INNER M O T I V E S!

Ever read about the self-promotion of Adonijah? Can we learn from him what not to do or be? Yes. I just love how the Bible doesn’t hide the sins of the slightly or very flawed people.

“Then Adonijah the son of Haggith exalted himself, saying, I will be king: and he prepared him chariots and horsemen, and fifty men to run before him. And his father had not displeased him at any time in saying, Why hast thou done so? and he also [was a] very goodly [man]; and [his mother] bare him after Absalom. And he conferred with Joab the son of Zeruiah, and with Abiathar the priest: and they following Adonijah helped [him].” 1 Kings 1:5–7 KJV

"Now his father, King David, had never disciplined him at any time, even by asking, 'Why are you doing that?' Adonijah had been born next after Absalom, and he was very handsome." nlt

Who really was this person, Adonijah, in the Bible? What was the cause of the conflict between Adonijah and King Solomon?

What was the true issue between Adonijah and Solomon over Abishag?

Ever read in the New Testament about that man, Diotrephes, who just loved to be first and to rule over everyone?

Jesus, help us to walk humbly with you as Lord instead.

Q: Need some level of recommitment leading to a real and personal revival inside?

Can experience.. can indeed have. We all can.

Need a Recommitment--Want Real Personal Revival Inside? Remember your Redeemer.. Repent, and Repeat! Yeah.. Return.

Do you ever have doubts or stumble still? Do you feel like you are disqualified from experiencing God’s love first-hand because you have messed up again.. when you were trying not to or perhaps weren't at all trying? Or because your past unique feels so tainted that God couldn’t possibly love you or use you with His great world-changing purpose story anymore?

I'm glad that the Lord is the God of second chances and of new beginnings. He ain't done with you yet, believer. His grace does not quit because of what we feel or don't feel. When you see yourself as unworthy just accept it.. knowing it's Christ's shed blood on the Cross that makes you worthy to Father.

"For a (spiritually reborn) Christ follower, the goal should be to move closer to Christ, following where He leads, and looking more and more like Him every day. The Bible promises that if we make the choice to move closer to God, He will honor that drawing close movement by blessing you with His presence." ~ Matthew West

“Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.” James 4:9

"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." 1 John 1:9

"But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him." Hebrews 11:6 nkjv

Do you want to get real instead of living your life as one among many religious posers? It doesn't matter what others are doing or not doing right.

Do ya recall the three R's of recommitment and personal revival?

"Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place; unless you repent." Rev. 2:5

We can't ..CAN NOT.. know the exact day of Jesus’ return in His second Advent, but we can each day live Rapture Ready! We can live close, and follow Him closely as if it were our last day on this planet.

Even if they seem really strange think em not strange, those trials. Your best Friend will help you through them.

Ever noticed how the trees with the strongest root systems are typically not the trees found where there's a light, or gentle breeze blowing through the summer leaves.
Oh no, the strongest trees out there in harsh weather conditions. They are those trees that are constantly facing fierce, stormy, turbulent and strong winds which cause their root systems to go and grow deeper.
They won't easily tip, crack or fall over.
The winds of adversity, believer, guess what.. they affect our spiritual roots!
Victory can be yours. Let your roots go down deep in this relationship with Christ. This is how you can make it as an overcomer. In March of 1982, Jon Coursen experienced a fierce trial. He had endured some before, but none like this.
His first bride, Terry, at the young age of 28, was taken home to Heaven. Then twelve years later, Jon’s 16-year-old daughter Jessie was also taken home to Heaven. Ouch! Then after that, he lost his dear son Peter-John as well. In a fallen world hard things happen. How can one explain it all? And of course for Jon those were times of serious mourning and grieving, but the Lord was there for him he says. God helped Jon to maintain his spiritual victory and good testimony. How? It was by the powerful living Word. It was by the enabling of the Holy Spirit.
Gettin’ through the trials is not always so easy for anyone, but God’s grace is enough for you and me. He will come through and meet all your needs, believer. He passes up a lot of opportunities to be early but the Lord is never late.
Jon is stronger today, He's got joy and peace. Everyone who knows him is amazed by the grace that took him through. Jon is a friend of God, yes, of the Person who helped him get through. (Read more on this vertical friendship.. Blog)
"Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal which is taking place to test you [that is, to test the quality of your faith], as though something strange or unusual were happening to you. But insofar as you are sharing Christ’s sufferings, keep on rejoicing, so that when His glory [filled with His radiance and splendor] is revealed, you may rejoice with great joy. If you are insulted and reviled for [bearing] the name of Christ, you are blessed [happy, with life-joy and comfort in God’s salvation regardless of your circumstances], because the Spirit of glory and of God is resting on you [and indwelling you—He whom they curse, you glorify]. Make sure that none of you suffers as a murderer, or a thief, or any sort of criminal [in response to persecution], or as a troublesome meddler interfering in the affairs of others; but if anyone suffers [ill-treatment] as a [a]Christian [because of his belief], he is not to be ashamed, but is to glorify God [because he is considered worthy to suffer] in this name. For it is the time [destined] for judgment to begin with the household of God; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not respect or believe or obey the gospel of God? And if it is difficult for the righteous to be saved, what will become of the godless and the sinner? Therefore, those who are ill-treated and suffer in accordance with the will of God must [continue to] do right and commit their souls [for safe-keeping] to the faithful Creator." 1 Peter 4:12-19 amp

How can we undo this?

Undo? I mean, the wrong ideas and terms.

i.e., Why has the term “sin” been thrown completely out when this is at the very root of our problematic earthly situation? I’m going to what John has to say on this — he can effectively help us with this question.

Go to which John for what? (Lately, I keep returning to, keep goin’ back through those 1, 2, 3 John letters.  I love the #Bible and the Author! What beats this intimate relationship of candor? Zip, nada, NULL)!

So who was the last living Apostle? It was John. He fought the good fight of faith ‘til the end and was the only one among them who wasn’t martyred for Jesus Christ.

You remember how back in his day, the Gnostics were pushing their weirdness as fast as they could. They didn’t believe that God created the “evil” material world, but that some distant emanation of Him did that. They believed that Christ was some phantom when Jesus lived here on the Earth and that Jesus didn’t have a body of flesh. The heresy known as Gnosticism was gaining a real foothold in the Church when John wrote this letter. Gnosticism was even further developed by Arias. He was the one who started the Arian heresy. Arias denied the deity of Jesus Christ and claimed that Jesus was only one of among many created beings. The Arian heresy is the basis of the J.W.’s Watchtower Society’s (Jehovah’s Witnesses) off-base belief system. What do you know about this cult? John early sought to correct this heresy by emphasizing the deity of Jesus Christ in his writings. The second person of the Godhead, Jesus, is 100% God, and 100% man as well and there’s never been any evil in Him. He’s never sinned once.

Jesus Christ didn’t have a start in time for his life, he’s existed throughout all eternity and he won’t have an end date either. He was with God from the beginning (see Micah 5:2 for the Hebrew word for “everlasting” means “beyond the vanishing point”).

1 John 1: There’s Joy In Fellowshipping With God The Father

1 John 2: There’s Joy In Simply Abiding In Christ

1 John 3: There’s Joy In Experiencing God’s Love

1 John 4: There’s Joy In Studying The Bible’s Exhortation To Love

1 John 5: There’s Joy In Praying According To God’s Will

I really love these verses from John: “This is the message we heard from Jesus and now declare to you: God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all. 6 So we are lying if we say we have fellowship with God but go on living in spiritual darkness; we are not practicing the truth. 7 But if we are living in the light (phōs Grk), as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin. 8 If we claim we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and not living in the truth.” (1 John 1:5–8 nlt. Read through the whole context of his book, it won’t take you long)

One reason for John writing this epistle is so that our joy of fellowship may become full (see John 15:1116:24). You know how happiness can be totally related to the circumstances around each of us, but JOY in the Lord is different. It’s a constant that’s based on our relationship as His adopted children.

John’s letter makes it clear that God the Father longs to have a living fellowship with you and me. Yes, He wants us to enjoy (vv. 1–3) fellowship with Him and with His reborn children.

Many people today have a heartbeat inside, but they are walking around spiritually dead. It’s sad (it was so sad when I was that way), but it’s far more sad if they stay that way (that way that I used to be). In Jesus Christ, the Father has revealed the truth to us, and what true life is. You and I here cannot see God or touch Him as the apostles once did many years ago, but He and His great love can still be real to you as His Holy Spirit opens the Word to your heart so to speak. It can happen today.

I can have illumination from God’s word — I can hear His word and respond. He wants me, He wants you to have a joyful fellowship (v. 4). I am not at all talking about the fellowship of a slave with a master per se, but that fellowship of a child with their parent. Sure, God delights in each of His children (See Psalm 18:19) and He longs to share His love with each of His children (John 14:19–24).

What does it mean to be a slave to sin?

How can we experience true freedom from spiritual slavery in Christ?

Who was Onesimus in the Bible?

Why were Paul and other believers in prison?

What is a bondservant? What is the difference between a bondservant and a slave?

You can be JOYFUL, you and I can be totally happy in Jesus and in the middle of the will of God! He loves and has a will, yes, a good plan for you.

Are you willing to be made willing to live in Him and in His good will for your life? Then tell Him so. What are you waiting for?

Dealing with a mistake. Photo by Charles Deluvio

He wants you to have an honest fellowship today (vv. 5–10). I’m talking about “walking in the light” cuz that’s what it means. It’s about dealing honestly with sin not mere mistakes of judgment.

Pic by Chuttersnap

Salvation is a serious matter of life or death, but fellowship is a matter of light or darkness. You and I can’t walk in both at the same time.

If you (like many people still do..) lie to God, lie to others, and lie to yourselves, you will lose out on your valuable fellowship with God. Why lose out in the character department as well? A godly character does not develop in the darkness.

In verse 5 the Apostle John describes God the Father as light in a philosophical and moral sense. He is completely fully righteously pure, with no trace of darkness in Him (John 3:19). He’s never for even one second or nano-second been evil. Light is fully opposed to — it exposes and dispels darkness (John 1 :9).

In verse 7 we see that the blood of Jesus Christ (remember Christ’s bloody Cross?).. is what continually cleanses us humans from all our sin.

“For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.” Romans 3:23 nlt

In verse 8 of this text the word “sin” refers to man’s sinful nature, which is dominated by the body’s cravings, needs and appetites. Baby believers and others, we are to eat what’s healthy for them spiritually and physically so that we can grow up. We are to regularly sow to the Spirit for edification, and not sow to the fleshly nature. We are to deny ourselves and struggle with the Word of God’s help to keep our persons.. including ole carnal nature inside under the control of the Spirit who delights to lead us (1 Cor. 9:27).

Sin just gets in the way and wrecks real fellowship upwards and outwards, but ever notice how those of the darkness and corruption of this world system today around us have invented some new words for the term “sin” so that people won’t feel so bad while they’re being distracted away from the Bible and a simple righteous relationship with God?

“Fellowship” in the Greek language is koinonia, and it can be translated “oneness, in common, communion.” Jesus came to address our sinful condition and bring us into koinonia with God the Father. Our fellowship with Him and each other is to remain unbroken.

“Some Christians try to go to heaven alone, in solitude. But believers are not compared to bears or lions or other animals that wander alone. Those who belong to Christ are sheep in this respect, that they love to get together. Sheep go in flocks, and so do God’s people.” ~ Charles Haddon Spurgeon

Why has that “sin” term been thrown out? Instead of someone saying they’ve committed a sexual sin of fornication or adultery, they say there has been “a moral failure.” Instead of someone saying they outright lied, they will instead claim that they “misspoke” or offered “alternative facts.” And instead of someone saying they’ve sinned, they say, “Well, I’m not perfect. I blundered, I made a mistake.”

Man, there’s a huge difference between simply blundering and committing a real sin of commission or omission. A mistake is dif from that of sinning.

Merriam-Webster says that a mistake is “a wrong judgment: a misunderstanding”, “a wrong action or statement proceeding from faulty judgment, inadequate knowledge, or inattention.”

If you were told to turn right on a certain street and then you turned left instead. It was a mistake. Perhaps it wasn’t deliberate, but it happened.

A sin, on the other hand, is deliberate. It’s something we do at will. We need to call it what it is. If we have been guilty of doing a sin, then we just need to call it that.. sin.

Have you ever realized that something you said wasn’t quite true —I’ve done that before. Hate that. It wasn’t fully accurate, I later discovered that it just missed being completely true. It was non-factual, not accurate? You and I want to correct the record right? (this is why we each need to do as the Bereans did and test what we hear against the Bible)

“Now the Bereans were more noble-minded than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if these teachings were true. As a result, many of them believed..” Acts 17:11–12a

But listen to this. Telling a lie is another issue thing. God ..the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.. has never told one lie. A lie is when a person knows something is all the way true, but then chooses to tell something false instead of what they know to be factually accurate.

Good idea: Let’s start calling a lie.. a lie. Like many did in the olden days. Let’s start calling a sin.. a sin.. instead of something like a mistake.

What was manifested? God the Father’s light and life was made manifest.

Manifest is one of the Apostle John’s best words. His three letters were inspired. Not written to us, but for us.

And Christ is the way, the truth, and the life ..was manifested.. sent here from the Father. He was manifested that He might reveal God the Father’s life (see 1 John 1:2), that He might take away our sins (3:5, will you let Him do that), that He destroy the works of the devil (3:8), and that He’ll disclose the Father’s great love for sinners (4:9). You can enjoy abundant and eternal life! Don't put it off another day. Come as you are. Clean up yourself and then come to Jesus? No, bad idea, come as you are right now (that's the best idea of all).

Real and meaningful fellowship with God and with saved sinners (like me) can indeed happen! I love real fellowship in God’s family.

When we turn to the Lord and ask for His forgiveness.. when we call our sin just that.. sin.. when we come on His terms instead of on our own.. when we each honestly confess our sins, when we humbly repent (turn away from it), and choose to believe in God the Father’s only Solution for our sin, in His Savior for us (Jesus).. it’ll all be gone.. the sin will be take away. Washed completely away.

When we each as they say.. apply the blood of Jesus Christ by faith we are then clean. You can do this — you’ve got this by His grace. Come to Jesus Christ now and confess your sin.. just repent of your sin while you still can. I urge you to. Accept His free forgiveness because of the blood of His Cross, yes that was shed for all of us. And then drop the life of sin.

We stop going back to it or dredging it up again. Instead, let’s not remember what God has chosen to forget.

Sin can be fun for a season, but the wages of sin are still death. You don’t need that. That doesn’t mean there won’t be ramifications or consequences for past sins, but our personal sin is now covered by the blood of Christ. We thank God that He has forgiven us forever — we can enjoy fellowship upwards and outwards! No charge. Read more
