There really ought to be JOY in the journey. Can you think of something better to have inside, as you walk with and witness for Christ?

Father God, thank You for being so creative, so generous, and for loving me... for loving us! Thank You for standing with me and with my believing friends cuz of simple faith in Jesus. Please comfort, encourage, uplift and touch the hurting one today. And I ask that You show me / us some new creative ways to witness with Your old truth to those not yet saved.. and to encourage those believers who want to grow spiritually, building em up real good ..the people around me / us today! We all need You more than any air to breathe, every moment we need You. Please help me live the life, shine real bright, and be a consistent example of Your wise expressive love ..tactfully applying truth in serving this very day. Thanks for real J O Y, for your yoke-breaking freeing anointing, and for just providing for each of us. Live big inside each of us for Your sake. Yes, be glorified. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Did you know that Isis terrorists are on the move and our leader skips looking at nearly 60% of all daily intelligence briefings that would help keep Americans safe? True.

"Did you know that at least 52 million people die and go into eternity each year? It's true." ~ Skip Heitzig

It's not God's fault. He's never intended for there to be death for anyone. He's done wrong. He told us the wages of sin is death.. He's warned us all the way back to the time of Adam and Eve, but He's also not trying to rub our noses in it. He's given us the Solution to the problem of sin. So put off all bitterness and choose JOY in Jesus. Listen to me, when we each look around or check out the daily news ..and there is nothing wrong with knowing what is goin' on around us so we can pray informed.. we can easily forget to pray and instead find reasons to abandon joy, contentment, and gratitude... but please don't do it.

Count your blessings one by one. Do it often. Think about it. If you were to go to a professional therapist, they would have you go back and recount all the negative things in this sin-cursed world that people have done to you, or recount all the circumstances beyond your control that have happened to you. Who wouldn't feel worse after that? Who wouldn't feel that they need their therapist even more after that, and be willing to pay him or her on a regular basis? (not saying I know all their motives or that all these professionals can not help people).

“Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits..” Psalm 103:2
“These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.” ~ Jesus Jn.16:33
Instead, try to go back in your personal history and see if you can't find at least seven or eight wonderful things that have happened in your life, and then give thanks to the Lord for those things. Recounting the few, the handful of good things, and there might even be more than sevena handful of thingswould soon make you feel a lot better inside huh. It think it would actually be helpful—yes, do more than just make you feel better.

Our unchanging God has already given and He has been faithful. In fact He gave us His best, His Son Jesus Christ. And we do have a lot to be thankful for, but guess what.. experientially ..the best is yet to come. Heaven! Yup, for every believer! Not that far away. So express sincere thanks and give praise to Him for every blessing that has been granted, or that has happened in your life.

Heaven is a real place, hell is a real place, this earth is the decision-zone so to speak (we each have "an either or proposition" to accept or reject Christ as our Savior), and guess what! You, I and all others have sinned, but there is comfort, forgiveness, hope, restoration, life and healing in this Jesus of the Bible. There’s life in God’s Word for you and for your friends. Sure, read through the Psalms for such solace. Ask God how all these Bible truths can guide you in life, no matter the great challenges that you or a loved one are currently facing.

“Oh give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His steadfast love endures forever! Let Israel say, ‘His steadfast love endures forever.’ Let the house of Aaron say, ‘His steadfast love endures forever.’ Let those who fear the Lord say, ‘His steadfast love endures forever.’ Out of my distress I called on the Lord; the Lord answered me and set me free.” Psalm 118:1-18

“Whoever is wise, let him attend to these things; let them consider the steadfast love of the Lord.” Psalm 107:43

Choose and begin to thank, to praise, and to rejoice in the Lord. Your bones will flourish like a well-tended garden of herbs, and your cheeks will start to glow with the bloom of youthful health and vital freshness. Worry, blame, fear, envy, distrust of direct authority, and inner anxiety are poisonous to your spiritual growth! But His JOY is a ministering, comforting balm. Yes, it can be healing for you. If you will but rejoice in Christ, God the Father will pour out His power and use you for His glory.

“Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears us up; God is our salvation. Selah.” Psalm 68:19

“His glory is great through Your salvation, splendor and majesty You place upon him. For you make him most blessed forever; you make him glad with the joy of Your presence.” Psalm 21:6

“The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9

If you could just look a bit closer.. you'd indeed see a fine strand if ya will in each and every blessing or good experience you've enjoyed.. a sort of string that winds around and leads directly back to the Lord Himself ..our caring Creator.

Sure! It's cuz of His great mercy and free amazing grace! It's cuz He really loves you and hasn't for even one second forgotten you. Yup, so there ya have it, the truth and reason to thank Him. And He has so much more for us, His Church! So let's rejoice! Let's enjoy fellowship, meaningful companionship, worshipful relationship with Him today ..and then go share with others the Good News of Christ's Cross and His empty tomb! facebook.com/shareJesus

Facing some literal or metaphorical storms of life? Are your unsaved friends facing em.. who don't yet know where to turn?

[Jesus] said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” —Mark 4:39

No waters can swallow the ship where lies the Master of the ocean, and earth, and skies. —Baker

Man, what power the Lord of creation has - even the waves obey Him (Col. 1:15-17). And guess what.. Christ still has both the right and the authority to instruct the wind and the waves we see. So interesting how this miracle caused His disciples to greatly fear instead of just trust Him more (v. 40). Why not trust Jesus and overcome your fears by feeding your faith in Him?

The new normal in our really bad economy, as well as with all the home-grown terrorism (i.e., a lady was beheaded in Oklahoma City yesterday) and distant terrorism that news commentators say is headed here ..has caused many of our friends to become very afraid. Jesus can calm the storms and protect us / them. Perhaps you have some scared friends that need your prayers, reassurance, and help today? facebook.com/shareJesus  Perhaps you use.. instagram.com/kurtwvs

One of these days the sky's gunna break, in a blink the Church'll escape—be caught away, and we'll know.. as we've been known.

Was invited downtown to a pre-showin' of this movie last night. You'll like it! One of these days the sky's gunna break and you don't want to be Left Behind. Really won't want your friend or family to be.

One of these days the sky's gunna break, in one blink Christ's church'll escape—be caught away, and we'll know.. just as we've been known. Got a lost friend and you really want em to get ready so you can go up together? Sure you do. First step, you get ready. Pray, invite, bring, patiently n clearly explain more ..from the Bible, expect, and pray with em. The movie is showin' in theaters on October 3rd.
~~~
Not all will sleep (reach room temp, kick the bucket, die). It'll actually happen. Won't pick a date, but I think.. soon. I want you with me in this! Some will be changed, snatched away. In a flash, in one sixth of a nano-second.. "In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. For this perishable must put on the imperishable.." ~ the Apostle Paul, 1 Corinthians 15:52-23
God, why is it the only time my prayers are never answered, is when I'm on the golf course?
It's probably because You care about the unsaved as well as Your people ..far more than a mere hole in one. Glad about that!
Seek the Lord and His strength, seek His face continually.     1 Chronicles 16:11
Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you for this precious and unending and abundant life that You have freely given us. Please fill me..us with Your Holy Spirit for Your purpose – Your worldwide purpose. Thank You for creating and guiding me and my believing friends! I read their edifying thoughts in here often and am blessed. Please bless each one. Help all of us to draw closer and closer to You Lord.. via Your Word and in prayer. We want to mature as your disciples. Please give us strong on-fire fellowship with new friends too - other believers who we can encourage as they walk with You. Lord, I thank you for saving and sanctifying! Thanks for refilling us with Your Spirit. Thank you for finishing the work that You have begun in each of our lives.. to form us into the image of Christ. We want to please You daily as the world sees You in us. I pray that you would be with us in a unique way today, and with each one tonight even, so that we can enjoy your peace. I also ask that Your perfect will be done ..through each of us all the way, and even through that up coming DFW.harvestamerica.com event here in less than two weeks. We agree for a harvest of souls. Do Your work through us. God, help each of us in whatever calling or direction You send us in.. to complete the specific missions that You have for us while down here on earth.. before we come home to You. Wanna bring people with. Please well-provide and guide, and bless, and equip each of our families in a way that is best for Your Kingdom. Bring our prodigals home soon. You are so good, so holy, so worthy of praise.. and such an all-knowing kind Father. So together in faith we praise You for the Cross and empty tomb, and thank You for new ones repenting to trust You. And we worship You for who You are, and we trust You for what you will do in the near future. Use us and be glorified. In Jesus' Name I pray. Amen.
"The Christian life is not a constant high. I have my moments of deep discouragement. I have to go to God in prayer with tears in my eyes, and say, 'O God, forgive me,' or 'Help me.'" ~ Billy Graham
There is great power when we look to the Lord of the harvest, when we obey Him and together agree in prayer for all those in need around us! He is the powerful One who loves them and us.
Let's continue to intercede for our lost friends, coworkers, fellow students, and relatives, yes, for them to turn so their lives will be changed by faith on October 5th or sooner. I would even challenge you to add in some names and to pray for those names listed in the Prayer Cloud so they'll know Him. Remember to: Pray, invite, bring, and perhaps stream the event into your home, hall, or church.
Why are humans important to You? Why do you take care of human beings?
If you’re a kindhearted human, people may accuse you of being inverted and selfish, with secret ulterior motives: Be a kindhearted human anyway.
If you are a successful, fruitful human, then you will undoubtedly win some false friends and real enemies over: Be a fruitful human pointin' em in the right direction anyway.
If you are an tactfully honest human, then frank people will try to cheat you: Be a tactfully honest human anyway.
If you are a constructive edifying human and spend years building what’s good, someone could come along and vote differently and or destroy it overnight: Be a constructive edifying human and build anyway.
If you’re a human who found great joy in worshipping and serving Jesus Christ ..even though you didn’t deserve it.. others may show up laughin' at or even mocking you as they ask what you smoked. Some feelin’ jealous of or convicted by the Lord in you, knowing you really don’t deserve it.. could seek to stop you: Be the human who finds joy in knowing Christ anyway.
If you’re a human who today gives their best doin’ good for others, the good that you do could very well be forgotten tomorrow: Be a human who today.. does good anyway.
P. Lord, I look at Your heavens, which You made with Your fingers. I see the moon and stars, which You created. But why are humans important to You? Why do You take care of human beings? Please use me to help other humans today.. in exactly the way You want me to. Amen. 8/1-5psalm
Adapted from Anon. Do you Instagram? Idea. Let's follow each other.
“I love the Lord, because He hath heard my voice and my supplications. Because He hath inclined His ear unto me, therefore will I call upon Him as long as I live.” Psalm 116:1-2
Have passion for Christ and express it. First upwards to Him directly, and then outwards to those He loves.
You will shine among them like stars in the sky. ~ Paul, Philippians 2:15
And those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the sky above; and those who turn many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever. ~ Daniel 12:3 (see Bible context)
There's no need to exaggerate, tweak, or embellish the Message.
Wanna talk about accuracy. It's so important. Playin' fast and loose with the truth ain't for us.
As we share the Gospel of Christ with unbelievers, the greatest Story ever of His Cross and the empty tomb, let's not make the mistake of only sharing the positive things with people as some believers do. I've told you before how there's a need for all to repent. There is a horrible place called Hell and there is future judgement. We believers will also be giving account of how we spent our lives. I've told you before how God is loving, as well as just and holy.
Let's tell em the truth without exaggeration or embellishment. Let's consistently say it straight and not make our old life sound more exciting, thrilling, or better than our new life in Jesus Christ. It wasn't.
Let's not tell of all that we have given up for Christ, because what we actually gave up was just trash, and destruction, and misery, wild sinful bashes that were fun for a short time.. and loneliness at times, and friends on the road to perdition, and inner emptiness, and guilt because we've all blown it at times and are guilty, and fear of death, and hopelessness because Christ is the only real Hope for humanity, and traffic tickets, and for some.. warrants, and hangovers, and dead religion, and paranoia.
Hey, let's instead share the truth in love.. about the blessings and abundant life and answered prayer and great companionship of Jesus. Let's share about what Christ gave up for us—He gave it all, and died in our place.
How can people appreciate the good news if they never heard the bad news as well?
We've all seen and we've all broken God's laws we all need to repent and put our trust in Jesus.
But Kurt, if I become a Christian will I need to move out and not live with my girlfriend anymore? A. Yes, sex outside of marriage is sin (Do some word searches on "fornication" "uncleanness" and "adultery" in the Bible). You'll need to deny yourself, not live for pleasure, die to doing things your own way, let Jesus be Lord of all. You'll need to be pure and move out ..and stop sleepin' with people.. anywhere. I say, Holy in Him is much happy in Him.
But Kurt, if I become a Christian will I need to quit doing drugs, quit getting wasted-drunk at parties, quit cheating on my taxes, quit cussing, and stealing money from my dealer? A. Do some more words studies (Pharmakia Gk)
But Kurt, if I become a Christian will be healed of this disease and never get sick again?
A. Well, God is indeed the Healer and we should look to Him instead of to so called healing evangelists. Might not happen physically before you see Christ's face, but we all should look to Him before we look to doctors, to clinics, to Obamacare etc. God can indeed deliver any from bad habits, from sicknesses, and even restore people, but we are living in a sin-cursed fallen world here.. and as lost people continue to get sick (we see it weekly, and now the Ebola medicines are running out), so do Christians catch sicknesses. Lost people still die of cancer and so do Christians. God in His wisdom decides who He will physically heal. We just don't know why He heals some believers here, and then all others will catch permanent healing (as He brings em home to heaven). Don't blame! He didn't sin. But we know He has a good plan for us all. When we run into something we don't know or understand, we just fall back on what we do know and understand. He loves you!
You and I need to tell em it straight instead of PMA (positive mental attitude) feel good stuff only.
With all due respect, John, you need to admit it and quit it. Yup, you'll need to become an honest worker, and quit the drugs n gang banging, quit all the carousing and thievin'.. yes, quit getting blasted and loaded at the same time or at different times. But let me also say that the things that you'll gain in the will be so great that you won't even miss the old things or old life you gave up. In fact having the Lord in your life and all that you'll gain in Christ will be so wonderful that it all will even be worth dying for ..if necessary.
Believer, I say have a good conscience with no deceptive exploitation mixed in.. or greed, or manipulation in there. Have zero dubious or even partly shady practices. Remember, a compromise of integrity will tweak things all wrong and will not be effective. Don't give out false promises, but keep your promises. God does that and His Book is full of good promises for us all to claim. We don't need to use "compete for a toy" kind of contests to win sinners into our churches, or use worldly movies, or use trivialized pursuits to evangelize the irreligious. Nope! We don't use sensual teases or appeals towards their flesh to assist them in getting spiritual. That'd be wrong!
Cults have used, and still use such perverse weirdness to hook people in and cut them off from family. For longer than I can think, they have urged their devotees to proselytize through flirty sorta fishing. Just read history, some religious systems have even used temple prostitutes to catch em. It's not for us—we're to be nothing like them.
Preachers, teachers, believers, disciples ..yes, all fishers of people.. are to be word-smiths of sorts (not Bible text smiths), yes, word-artisans if ya will. A Christian witness is to pray about what he or she will say in different situations. They are to use their testimony even, and shape a honest message by the language, tone, timing and methods they employ.
We want to represent the God well. Jesus did this for the Father. He was flawless in this and we would do well to follow Him in witnessing. Christ used Scripture and stories hearers could relate to. He never witnessed to any two people exactly the same way and we shouldn't either. The Holy Spirit knows what each one needs most.
In Colossians 4:4 the Apostle Paul requested prayer from believers so that he could communicate ..for their sake, not his sake.. the Gospel effectively. He said…
"Pray diligently. Stay alert, with your eyes wide open in gratitude. Don't forget to pray for us, that God will open doors for telling the mystery of Christ, even while I'm locked up in this jail. Pray that every time I open my mouth I'll be able to make Christ plain as day to them." (MSG)
I personally like to look at his words in several different translations and modern paraphrases to get the gist better. I like the NKJV best "..I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak", but the NASB and NIV versions use the word clear or clearly here. Check out how F. F. Bruce translates it. He says: "that I may publish it openly in the words which I ought to speak."
The Apostle Paul totally got it. He never wanted to muffle, to garble, to fog, or to fumble the Gospel Message. He wanted to explain it real well; to word it crystal clearly for em and show how God wants His principles practically applied in their era. He wants that for our era too.
The word Paul used, "phanerow," has the idea.. "to make visible." It comes from "phainw" which means "to manifest" or "to light up." The job of any fisher of people is to intercede and give It out plainly, simply, and with fitting illustrations or some humor if the Spirit guides. We want to open a window and shed some light on the old Story, just to make it understandable to the people of our day, rather than to obscure it. Don't know 'bout your country, but there's so much biblical illiteracy in the USA now—so many don't have a clue as to who Adam, Eve, Abraham, Noah, Moses or David were.
Of course the Bible is already very relevant for the modern folk, but we can help show em how relevant it truly is.
Never forget. It's imperative to share the Gospel both honestly and clearly. We share the bad news (for all have sinned. And the wages of sin is death..) and the Good News. Our holy God loves and gladly saves people, but He also judges sin. Our sins will either be judged in one of two places: on the Cross at Calvary (a couple thousand years ago if we believe), or if we put off or reject Christ.. at the Great White Throne Judgement in the near future.
Why give em the neg and the poss? Well, cuz we only need to think about what is at stake and important repentance and faith in Christ are. Only in the Gospel is there the "power of God to salvation" (Rom 1:16). No wonder Paul mentions "anathema" for those who misstate the Message.
Mr. G. Campbell Morgan said, "Organized Christianity which fails to make a disturbance is dead."
"It is now possible to live a 'Christian life' without doing the things that Jesus commanded us to do.  We have hired people to go into all the world [to live it, to serve, and to tell], to visit those in prison, to feed the hungry, to clothe the naked, to care for widows and orphans.  The average Christian doesn't have to do it." —Cal Thomas
Sure, God still uses people today, but He can use us to reach more people better with a clearer Message than with a foggy or half message. Who needs confusion? None. We all need Jesus! A clear, from-the-heart-dialogue and presentation of the Gospel is not only more powerful, it also gets people off to a well-grounded start in relating to Christ, as well as in layin' a solid biblical foundation for their walk with Him. facebook.com/shareJesus
Say it while ya can. Uber-expensive cremation urns and tombstones might look alright to some, but they can’t really listen, feel, understand or respond.
You've got friends and loved ones that mean a lot to you. Are there things you really wish you could express to them, but have somehow put off? Ever prayed 'bout the timing and all.. asking God to help make it easier to get it out at the right time and in the right way? Say it while ya can.  Not "Luv ya."  Show it.  Say it clear.  "You are so very loved.  You are radically loved—God cares. And I  l o v e  you too."  And real love'll tell em even more...
"Indeed, the 'right time' is now. Today is the day of salvation. We live in such a way that no one will stumble because of us, and no one will find fault with our ministry." ~ Paul
Don't seek to become famous through social media or through any other means. That won't fill that inner void. Seek God and to do the will of God. Seek to be in the will of God first. Then to be fruitful for His glory, yes, to help others get in His will as well.
Do you sense an empty void inside.. a relentless, a nagging, a deep spiritual hunger, a hounding guilt, a fear of death (I don't..just don't like gettin' dead. Hope the rapture comes first). Do you have an insatiable longing, or a craving after the eternal ..after the supernatural? Do you have an emptiness, a loneliness? You aren't alone. You my friend are loved.
Hey there Buckaroo, you don't need some Jehovah Witness Kingdom Hall, or to run after every so-called supernatural healing evangelist with his phenomena. You really don't need Harry Potter, Justin Bieber, a political party, a well-meaning Pope, the horoscope, a fortune cookie, a revelation from (a non- existent LDS angel) Moroni, the Koran, or any horseshoe for luck that ain't there. You don't need witchcraft, any dead religion, or some Ouija board. You and I need Jesus Christ.
By repentance and faith you can connect. Mick Jagger and the Rolling Stones can't seem to get any, but you can simply apply Matthew 6:33 in the Bible, be born again and find real satisfaction. Some people today want to seek fame, want to over-post to gain it and make everyone know everything there is to know about them. Yes, many people post cuz they sincerely want to be loved. They have a real love-hunger inside, but God is love and loves them. Some just want to seek and worship someone famous. But we don't need fame, someone famous, or this world's wealth or type of success. We need the most famous One.. the Lord of glory.
"I solemnly urge you in the presence of God and Christ Jesus, who will someday judge the living and the dead when he comes to set up his Kingdom: Preach the word of God. Be prepared, whether the time is favorable or not. Patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage your people with good teaching. For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear. They will reject the truth and chase after myths. But you should keep a clear mind in every situation. Don't be afraid of suffering for the Lord. Work at telling others the Good News, and fully carry out the ministry God has given you." 2 Timothy 4:1-5 nlt
"A time is coming.." that time has already come. You know it is now.. people of our day for the most part have their rude palm up in the face of God and His Gospel if you will, and they are no longer listening to wholesome Bible teaching.
Preaching the Word might be out of season now (I think it is), but that might change soon if we pray for an awakening. It might not (I think it will). Doesn't really matter the season—we still have this Duty, this Great Commission, this Message, this fiery passion!
Pausing for time with Christ is more important than pausing for time with other friends.
Pausing for power is pausing for prayer ..with the right address attached (to the Father through Jesus the Son). Praying or "saying your prayers" doesn't earn anything or meet your needs, God does that via candid prayer.
Pausing for power is pausing for Him... yes, before the powerful One who cares about us and about us sharing the Gospel with our friends. He still wants to bless you and make you a blessing..more than you want this. It's about submitting to His power (authority) daily for His world-wide purpose.
"We are the Bibles the world is reading; we are the creeds the world is needing; we are the sermons the world is heeding." —Billy Graham
Remember, there is One who understands human pain. Many blame Him. He didn't cause it. Our sin caused it.
But He hears you. He sees it. He can forgive. He was broken too in this broken world filled with broken ones. He can deliver, heal and restore any. He knows all about your lost relatives and buds.
He can do something about it ..through us. Emmanuel God with us. He says go tell cuz He cares and chooses to use people. Will He save all? No, some won't let Him. You know that. But some will ..so He says take time with Him first, and then with them. Time here is short. Don't hold back. facebook.com/shareJesus
Please remember!
"We are the Bibles the world is reading; we are the creeds the world is needing; we are the sermons the world is heeding." —Billy Graham
Say it all while ya can--"I love you" and gossip the Gospel. Not just sayin' a "Luv ya" by itself once in a blue moon ..whatever that is.
Show it. Walk it. Live it 24/7/365. Pray it. Say it. "You are so very loved. You are radically loved by God—and man, I l o v e you." Then show them that it's true, that you do care about em. Do that today and in the future too.
It's an Imperative Gospel For Every Individual
Are you a debtor that's now under Authority? I was once hurt and against those in authority. My bad.
Now it's time to rebel differently.. yes, against the evil, against this twisted world system n dead religious n political systems that pressure us to sin / to do wrong.
Choose to rebel against that inner ole fleshly rebellious nature that says.. Compromise spiritually!.. that says Live for self, feeling good, and just all-out oppose the work of Christ inside and outside.
This world says worship anything but Christ and it will be accepted. Don't do it.
No trepidation or lukewarmness. With resolve and convictions give your praises to Jesus no matter what! Might cost ya...or me. Who cares! Go.
“We Christians are debtors to all men at all times in all places, but we are so smug to the lostness of men. We've been "living in Laodicea", lax, loose, lustful, and lazy. Why is there this criminal indifference to the lostness of men? Our condemnation is that we know how to live better than we are living.” ~ Leonard Ravenhill
"For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes.." ~ Paul 1/16rom.nlt
With former terrorist turned non-money-indebted, bond-slave and believer (but not by himself).. Paul can you also say I am...
1. Obligated
2. Eager
3. Ready
4. Unashamed
“Give me one hundred preachers who fear nothing but sin, and desire nothing but God, and I care not a straw whether they be clergymen or laymen; such alone will shake the gates of hell and set up the kingdom of heaven on earth.” ~ John Wesley
Our primary Message is not.. Be morally responsible or politically conservative. It's basically John 3:16 in the Bible. Not fear. It's Jesus Christ and His imperativeness of the Gospel!
Need some prayer? How ya be today?
Hello Christians; beloved fishers of people,
What's up and what's new. I hope you are doing well today.
I love to go out on my patio in the mornings in the back and just pray for you and for those I've been witnessing to lately. It's my duty and joy. And it's such a nice place to be away from all technology..away with Christ. And I know that the Lord hears me. Are there things you really need me to pray for? You know He loves you, and He is blessed when we know and serve Him with pure hearts. And sometimes we just need a friend to pray for us.. yeah, we need to pray for each other.
"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ" (Colossians 3:23-24).
"The smell of death is upon any church or preacher that ignores the elementary fact of soul-winning." Jack Hyles
"God never intended His church to be a refrigerator in which to preserve perishable piety.  He intended it to be an incubator in which to hatch our converts." R G. Lee
Did ya know ..that 40% of the people who come to faith in Christ do so in-between the ages of 4 years and 14 years of age. It's true and that's why we can't forget seed-sowing and reaping among the young people.
Did ya know ..between 80 to 90 percent of people who hear the Gospel for the first time, actually hear it from people who have only personally known the Lord for less that two years. That's why as we grow and mature spiritually, we can't allow ourselves to become silent wallflowers.
Did ya know ...there has never been a time in the history of the Church when it was more thrilling to share the Gospel of Christ in the power of His Spirit.. than today! There's never been a day more exciting than today for getting the Good News out far and wide ..where the people are. Yes, we just need people to get out of the four walls of their home TV room and outside the walls of the church sanctuary ..in some cyber kinda way or face to face way.. and GO TELL people about JESUS!
I always want to add value, to edify, and to encourage you in the Lord. I pray that the Lord will continue to use you and me too.. in the areas of discipleship and personal evangelism in these last days. I would also like to ask some personal questions if I may, just to see how you are doing spiritually so that I can pray for you today (feel free to use the comments section below, or to keep it confidential you can simply text me).
"I have come that you might have life, and that you might it more abundantly" —Jesus, (John 10:10).
"When I say to the wicked, 'You will surely die,' and you do not warn him or speak out to warn the wicked from his wicked way that he may live, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity, but his blood I will require at your hand. Yet if you have warned the wicked and he does not turn from his wickedness or from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have delivered yourself.." (Ezekiel 3:18-19).
"I wanted to be somebody, but God allowed me to be a nobody—sharing with everybody about Somebody who can save anybody." Sam Mings
Questions for ya...
1.  If there was one thing I could pray to our Lord about for you today, what would that be?
2.  How is your character and walk? Are you struggling to get past things that hinder you?
3. Do you sense / feel you belong to our Lord? Have you examined yourself to see if you are in the faith. I'm talking about repentance and trusting the Lord to regenerate your dead human spirit. Are you one of His Spirit-born children?
4.  Are you grateful and happy with the way you are living today?
5.  Do you want your eternal address to be with our Lord or do you want to have an eternal address that is separated from our Lord?
5. Are there people currently in your life that you have tactfully been trying to help, serve, or influence towards knowing the Lord in a personal way, and then towards vital fellowship in connection with His church?
Dear fishers, dear brothers and sisters in God's family, I feel so blessed by all of your feedback and love.. and just wanted to say, thank you so much.
You build me up. You challenge me to grow and I so appreciate that. Once again..thank you! I want to say, "Be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord" (1 Corinthians 15:58g). You'll be stoked you did.
Seekin' to do my part with joyful confidence, yeah, with Christ and His church.. to simply worship and follow Him better.. in helping to bring closure on His Great Commission and Great Commandment. Why you ask? Good question. Well cuz, “Jesus called out to them [His followers sayin'], ‘Come, be my disciples, and I will show you how to fish for people!’”  Matthew 4:19
Feelin' kinda sorta too tired to tell the Story? Been there. Can indeed relate.
"[The Lord] neither faints nor is weary." —Isaiah 40:28
Are you experiencing any weakness, anxiety or despair? Need some prayer from me?
You know all or any of that can fatigue ..or steal our strength and joy. But God can renew strength inside of us as we lean on Him (Isa. 40:31). He "neither faints nor is weary" .. never has one time (v.28), but He is willing to reach down into your world if you will.. to revive and restore.
He's the Leader, not you. And His yoke of Lordship never bruses, hurts or even chafes at the neck.
Has it been too heavy to carry? Why not off-load?
What Christ has for you ..is easy. He asked...
"Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to Me. Get away with Me and you'll recover.. walk with Me and work with Me—watch how I do it.  Learn the unforced rhythms of grace.  I won't lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you.... with Me you'll learn to live freely and lightly."
"Come to me, all of you who are tired and have heavy loads, and I will give you rest.  Accept my teachings and learn from Me, because I am gentle and humble in spirit, and you will find rest for your lives. The burden that I ask you to accept is easy; the load I give you to carry is light" (see the context and Matt. 11/28-30 msg, ncv).
The Fisher of all fishers is gentle and tenderhearted. Jesus has never once been pushy, mean-spirited, unreasonable, weirdly in the flesh all blowin' up at people or wrongly angry. Nope! He's never been brow-beating, selfish, condemning, or some workaholic "for the Father." And He won't lead you astray either. The Bible says...
"Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into His rest, any of you should seem to come short of it" (Heb.4:1 kjv).
"So let us do our best to enter that rest.  But if we disobey God, as the people of Israel did, we will fall" (nlt).. "For the one who has entered His rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from His.  Therefore let us be diligent to enter that rest, so that no one will fall, through following the same example of disobedience" (vv. 10-11).
Say it.. Doin' my best, I commit the rest. If we each are abiding in the Vine and unified, instead of religiously striving in the flesh we are going to produce fruit and subsequently have a harvest for His glory. Sweetness!
Sure you and I have an ole fleshly nature inside that we are to mortify, but if we're daily walking in the Spirit, living with Christ's easy yoke (yeah, that's an old farming term, you know with two oxen unified and pulling in the same direction for the crop's sake).. then guess what. You and I are not going to get inordinately uptight, fearful, selfishly ambitious, big-boss-prideful, or pushy with ourselves or with other believers that we serve with or meet.
We won't place unrealistic expectations on people or have hidden wrong expectations on others ..to "Perform and produce for God!" We won't pressure em, exploit em, or manipulate them to "Do more work or giving than is actually good for them or for the Kingdom."
You've heard it before. They say "We do our fair share and commit to this (heavy)  yoke because we all owe it to Him who gave it all, and you know we can commit to doin' more than any reasonable amount, cuz God's supernatural ability will kick in and then when we accomplish it all everyone will see that God get's the glory." No! That's just spiritual abuse flat-out. We Christians are to force things. We aren't perfect but we won't contantly try to make things happen when and how we want. We won't hurry people. Instead of pushing, pushing, pushing, we'll be kind and pulled along (led step by step) gently by the Spirit of Jesus the good and Chief Shepherd of the flock.
Taking up the easy yoke is about us being diligent instead of lazy for sure, but it's also about laying down all those heavy projects that were laid on you by yourself while trying to perhaps earn favor, earn acceptance, or gain a guilt-free-conscience inside (or liberty from false guilt even).. or earn whatever.
 You know what I'm talkin' about, projects that were laid on your neck by the verbalized bogus expectations or influence of others.. vain yokes that the Lord never even intended for you to pick up in the first place.
Okay, so you understand that personal and corporate worship of God comes first. Worship before working. The Old Testament priest's garb was of linen - no sweat. And you know that God will indeed have soul-winning and discipleship tasks or projects ahead for each of us believers if we'll stop and first inquire of Him about each one, but other projects can become crushing and bad for your family and health.. especially if your leader's expectations for you grow bigger each month. Often times we presume to take up Gods projects cuz we fail to simply pray over those so called opportunities, or we "fear man" along with saying no to him or her.
Have you been in the driver's seat of your life and haven't been listening to Christ who you have religated to inside the trunk, or to riding shotgun? Quite acting like you're Lord of Him. Repent. Let Him take the wheel.
Listen, believer, if we are too busy for time alone with the Lord in His word and in prayer...too busy to enjoy His presence and listen to His voice, to thank, and to honestly vent with Him who understands.. or too busy for time with your family.. then we are just too busy.
It's the cults, false teachers, and respected but stiff religious leaders that are known for getting their devotees too busy and cut off from family members. No local church, para-church ministry, or genuine Christian minister should be like that at all. Instead they should encourage and facilitate the proper prioritization of one's time.
Being busy out of the will of God is so grievous; it stinks though it might look good to some religious folk. It's time to do better in taking a day off per week; it's time to lay down the bad yoke(s) and idols. Memorize Matthew 6:33. We reproduce what we are spiritually. Have you been a brow-beater of friends, a workaholic, or an enabler helping others to be busy in sin..all "for Jesus Christ?" Stop that. Learn to rep Him right not as a fool. You'll glorify the Lord and be more effective in life and ministry when you maintain wise boundaries of respect; yes, when Christ is Lord of all and you've entered that wonderful rest in the Love of God. facebook.com/shareJesus
