Got a goal, a vision, a dream, an aim.. a prayer over that?

"For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee." Proverbs 23:7

"You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You." Isaiah 26:3

What do you see with your mind's eye so to speak? What do you dwell on?

Solomon, had some dreams, desires, aims, longings, and goals so to speak. This famous king of Israel, was renowned for his wisdom too. With his unlimited resources, he decided to see for himself everything this world had to offer. He decided to act on his thoughts.

Eventually, he came to this conclusion: “Fear God and obey his commands, for this is everyone’s duty” Ecclesiastes 12:13 nlt.

We humans guess what.. we have 90,000 to 100,000 thoughts every day.

That’s quite a bit of ideas huh. On what, or on who do you think about the most? Is it about a person, a thing, a place, a relationship with a friend or with a group? Is it about one or two goals, or about a desire, a dream, a personal wish, or something else?

That’s a lot of thoughts per day I’d say, isn’t it? Our thoughts are important because what we think about is what we’ll plan about or take action on.. is what we tend to do. Someone wisely said, “Sow a thought, reap an act; sow an act, reap a habit; sow a habit, reap a character; sow a character, reap a destiny.”

When someone has 20/20 vision, it means they have good eyesight. They see things with clarity. Do we see like that. How about eternal instead of just temporal things.

We need that kind of vision as followers of Christ because the Bible says that “where there is no vision, the people perish” Proverbs 29:18.

What’s your goal, or dream or aim? Do you have a so called vision of what God wants to do in and through you to bless a generation and the next generation. You can have one.. real clear. Come to Jesus your Savior and Lord. Ask Him in

None can do it -- none can walk in two directions at the same time. Duh. You have to choose which way you’re going to walk.

The same is true when we come to the Message of the Gospel. We have to say yes or no to God’s Message. I’m not talking about the mere message or opinions of some religious leader or their group.

Either we are for or we are against the Jesus Christ of the Bible. We must make a choice. I say choose life -- it’s in Him who said he is the way, the truth and the life.

Maybe you’re in a place where the only way out is God. Been there before, I have. You can be sure of this: God is bigger than your problem or trail. And God will always have the last word.

Have you ever looked up the phrase “but God” in the Bible? Go check it out. You’ll find it in a lot of interesting Bible situations where God intervened and helped his people. He can help anyone, anywhere, at any time -- He in fact delights to do that when we humbly call out to Him.

Will you come to Jesus today? Will you choose to closer to God, or perhaps because of some hard things that have happened in your life.. go farther away from Him?

Will you come to.. and come closer to a healthy Bible teaching church, or perhaps because of some painful trails of life or some foolish hypocrite that has let you down in your life (man, I hate when that happens, and never wanna be one).. go away from a healthy born again spiritual pastor and healthy church?

When changes happen in this life, people tend to come closer to God and His church or they harden their hearts, choose to distrust Him as they go away from Him. When people let us down, and they will because we’ve all sinned and are flawed, many go away from a healthy church where they can grow well fast. I say we all need healthy family and friends who are growing in the grace and truth of the word. I say come closer to the Lord. I say get home before dark.. please. You’ll be so glad you did.

Think on Him. Think on how blessed you'll be in His forever family. Jesus appeals to you today, "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28-29 Fish4souls.org

Loneeeee.. or long all alone and wondering, or just plain lonely? There’s a cure for the later.

Real friendship rocks! Upward, outward, yep.

Sadly, I've discovered many married people who are not friends. They're not distant or even close friends involved in the most intimate of all horizontal relationships. They're sadly not friends at all. Tragically, long not at all friends. It doesn't have to be or stay that way. Repent please. Go to God with this.

I've discovered many married people who are very lonely, and even more who live together that way. My grandfather, John F. Beck, once told me he drank too much cuz he was lonely inside.. yes, while married to my grandmother. He then told me how he prayed and overcame gettin' together with the founding leaders of AA.

It was my classy born again grandmother who taught me how to love God and daily pray. You can pray, find the ultimate satisfying Solution and and ditch problems too.

So many young and older people suffer with the feeling of being lonely today, but listen.. loneliness is ultimately a choice. Being alone isn’t always, but the former indeed is. Who feels that today?

Going out to act friendly is also a choice. So many wrong places to go feeling like this (ie, a bar, a night club, a cult group), but there are some healthy places to go. First go to the One who understands you most, who can handle you speaking frankly.

image

Students far away at college can feel it.

Singles can be lonely.

Widows and widowers can also be.

Those retired can feel forgotten or left all alone too much. There are more senior people than ever before. Many feel forgotten, no longer needed, purposeless.

Married people can be too.

People pass away, they divorce, they move away, they break up, they are promoted to a position in a different city or location. Who doesn’t hate rejection.

So many people really hate returning to an empty dark house or apartment.

So many people drink ..much or do prescribed or illicit drugs because of this gnawing feeling.

Can Christians experience loneliness? The Bible contains many stories of godly people who suffered with it. Fortunately, Scripture also offers us truths to help us escape it.

Jeremiah felt lonely -- the weeping prophet. See Lamentations (a collection of funeral poems). King David also felt lonely. See Psalm 142:4. The Apostle Paul felt lonely sometimes. See what he wrote in 2 Timothy. Let’s keep it all in perspective okay.

Hey, it’s never wrong to feel lonely, but it’s not smart to let it move in and take over our life. God can help you. We are called upon to be examples of the faith. Hear God speak to your heart. His word is His will and He can illuminate it in your human spirit.. yes, to you personally.

Don’t deny you feel this way. Recognize it, acknowledge it, and then accept God’s provision for it.. I mean for this vacant empty space in you.

God Has Not Forgotten You Believer.

He sticks closer than a brother. He will never leave you or forsake you.

After the past period of time, these Covid and Delta Virus years, we are all painfully familiar with the loneliness of spending whole days—even weeks—without leaving the house.

When we go through difficult times, enduring it alone makes it all the more painful. We begin to feel disconnected. Isolated. Seemingly invisible. While we may feel alone, but we never are alone. God is there for you -- He has not forgotten us!

”I cry aloud with my voice to the Lord;
I make supplication with my voice to the Lord.
I pour out my complaint before Him;
I declare my trouble before Him.

When my spirit was overwhelmed and weak within me wrapped in darkness,

You knew my path.
In the way where I walk
They have hidden a trap for me.
Look to the right [the point of attack] and see;
For there is no one who has regard for me [to act in my favor].
Escape has failed me and I have nowhere to run;
No one cares about my life.

I cried out to You, O Lord;

I said, “You are my refuge,
My portion in the land of the living.

“Give attention to my cry,
For I am brought very low;
Rescue me from my persecutors,
For they are stronger than I.

“Bring my soul out of prison (adversity),
So that I may give thanks and praise Your name;
The righteous will surround me [in triumph],
For You will look after me.”
David, Psalm 142:4 amp.

Where does that concept of a “God-shaped hole” originate?

You know the idea.. that inside each of us is a "God-shaped hole"--a place inside of our hearts that only God can fill. If we try to put anything else in there, it won't fit (meaning, it won't fill the need we each can feel, can have inside of our heart, mind and soul).

Yeah, where does this concept even come from?

“There is a God-shaped vacuum in the heart of each man which cannot be satisfied by any created thing but only by God the Creator, made know through Jesus Christ.” ~ Blaise Pascal

It is a craving to be filled, and God can comfort and fill you better than any others. Ask.

It’s a choice - staying lonely. Yes, ongoing loneliness is. God has given us His Son (we can have Him living big on the inside of us, he will help and lead me). We pain from time to time, but we also have time for praying to the Father in faith. We have believers in healthy local church. Yea, He has given you real saints (saved sinners who have been born again.. seeking to grow) and his word. We come together for mutual worship, encouragement and help. Turn and trust Jesus. Come to Christ as you are today.

"A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother." Proverbs 18:24

King David emerged from his prison, from his dark cave into victory. Listen, he not only told us how he felt in his emotions, he gave us the solution.

He verbalized it well, he cried, he pleaded, he poured out his complaint and exactly how he felt ..first to God

Q. Got a few other trustworthy spiritual friends.. ears. Someone who will pray for you like Jesus selflessly does?

It’s so easy to become lonely, down and discouraged when we focus on our problems. The ultimate solution? Focus on Jesus and God the Father’s ability to help you also overcome the problems.

Remember Ann Frank, she chose to overcome loneliness. You can too, and be used to help other lonely people.

Corrie Ten Boom overcame this in a Nazi concentration camp. God was and is her best friend and really used her around the world. She went to my church in Costa Mesa as she also traveled the globe.

God is in those hard and super hard experiences with you, believer, and He goes through them all with you. No pit is so deep that His love doesn’t run deep still.

“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through fire, you will not be scorched, Nor will the flame burn you." Isaiah 43:2 amp

I like times of being alone with Him, but I get with God’s people often. Fish4souls.org

Sorry, Please, and Thanks - I Love it! Courteous, Honoring, and Respectful.

So many people today use that term "complicated" when they are talking about some relationship they are enduing or really trying to make work. Why not we uncomplicate the relationships starting with the most important One.

Humble reverence is a choice. In any position, at any where and at any time -- pray without ceasing. All day and night long like you do with breathing. All the time. Remember Nehemiah prayed earnestly. Daniel. He opened up his windows and prayed three times per day regardless of dumb laws. Give sincere thanks and praise when you pray. Jesus prayed (Luke 18:1) and said for us to pray. He prayed even on the cross for others.

Pray in the will of God as the Spirit leads you to pray. Praying is God's appointed way for us to obtain the things we need. Simple as that. You have not because we ask not. The main objective of prayer -- to line my will up with God's. It's not about getting my will done in heaven, it's about getting God's will done on earth.

"Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you. 8For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened." Matt. 7:7-8

When I was a kid down at New Port Beach, me and my siblings never visited or talked with our parents in a stained, fearful or complicated sort of way. Naw, kept it simple and to the point.

When you are a little child, or when you have children, parent, you want to teach them three types of praying.

Not talking about "saying your prayers" (that's just religious and God ain't that way. Never has been.).. but it's 'bout prayin' to the Father through the Son from the heart. Have faith in Him.

* Sorry prayers (which would include personal conviction confession, trust, repentance, change, and believing on Jesus). Every human needs God’s free forgiveness, we’ve all blown it before.

* Please prayers (which would include "HELP", or simple conversation with listening, and bein' filled / or refilling of His Holy Spirit, intercession, supplication, provision and for specific guidance etc.)

* Thank you prayers (which would include the highest forms of all prayer which would be praise and worship of God - the Bible Jesus, our Lord.)

Let’s all have good manners even upwards and outwards.. in a day when they have all but disappeared.

We want to be growing, on-fire spiritually, fruitful, and productive in fellowship with You. - Fish4souls.org

"Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it.” ~ Jesus, Luke 18:17 esv

"Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 18:4

"Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it.” Mark 10:15

Got some questions about prayer?

 How does prayer work?

 What is a prayer circle?

What is the purpose of prayer?

What is fervent prayer (James 5:16)?

 What is a prayer chain?

What is listening prayer? Are listening prayers biblical?

Is there evidence that God answers prayer?

 Why is daily prayer important?

 What is a prayer vigil?

What are the different types of prayer?

Are there any conditions to answered prayer?

Is there anything wrong with repetitive prayer?

 What is the Jesus Prayer?

What is contemplative prayer?

 What is a morning prayer?

“Don’t bargain with God. Be direct. Ask for what you need. This is not a cat-and-mouse, hide-and-seek game we’re in. If your little boy asks for a serving of fish, do you scare him with a live snake on his plate? If your little girl asks for an egg, do you trick her with a spider? As bad as you are, you wouldn’t think of such a thing—you’re at least decent to your own children. And don’t you think the Father who conceived you in love will give the Holy Spirit when you ask him?” Luke 11:10-13 msg

What's the most popular Bible verse in our society? "Judge not, that ye be not judged." Yup, that’s an unbeliever’s favorite today (Matthew 7:1). Carnal and worldly Christians love to quote that too.. so they can keep living with their pet (pleasurable destructive) sins.

Hey, who Are You To Judge, Dude?

We should evaluate (use discernment, rightly judge) according to facts instead of according to presumption, personal preferences, or feelings. We don’t have all the facts. Let's learn to discern right from wrong, and truth from half truths and from full error. The future is here.

Why have a puffed up judgmental spirit? Why live bitter, or always negative with a bad attitude? Don’t be like the arrogant Pharisees or Sadducees in the way they judged. Live humbly and righteously.

They often quote it (Matt. 7:1) to ward off those with the right message, a good witness. And perhaps they’ve sadly seen pushy judgmental hypocrites (worldly, religious, carnal believers) as well.

Share the Good News in love. Hate the sin and error, but love the sinner. Let’s listen well, and judge (evaluate) according to words and actions and not motives. We can’t see the heart or thoughts of the mind. Only God can see hearts and thoughts. Test what the false teachers and false prophets say and do according to the Scriptures. Does it square with the Bible.

How do you watch out for spiritual wolves, aka false teachers unless you know the word.. know what to listen for, or sentences (message) to judge?

Do they go against the Essentials of the Bible? If so we prayerfully appeal to them to repent, but if not then we wisely break fellowship with them.

Do they disagree with you about disputable matters, namely non-essentials of the Christian faith? Show love to all people, and don’t break fellowship with these people.

Our unity as born again believers is to be formed around the Christ of the Bible, the Essentials of the Word and around nothing else really. This is basic stuff of real love! (I Blogged)

“In essentials, unity; in non-essentials, liberty; in all things, charity” ~  Rupertus Meldenius in AD 1627

To answer before listening—that is folly and shame. Proverbs 18:13 (KJV)

He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and shame unto him.

Proverbs 18:13 nlt

Spouting off before listening to the facts is both shameful and foolish. Proverbs 18:13 nkjv

He who answers a matter before he hears it, it is folly and shame to him. Proverbs 18:13 ncv

Anyone who answers without listening is foolish and confused.

Hey, I too like that Matthew 7:1 verse. See Bible the whole context as well.

We are to evaluate, we are to judge with righteously.

Are you Mr. or Ms. Plankeye? So many seem so unable to see their own ginormous plank. Is it a two by four, or a four by eight?

Let’s each start with us removing the huge log in our own eyes before addressing their splinter. God help this saved sinner (me) look at my heart and judge myself. I am so unlike Jesus but want to be more like him in his character.

“Open your mouth, judge righteously, defend the rights of the poor and needy.”  Proverbs 31:9 esv

“Do not judge by appearances, but judge with right judgment.” John 7:24

“You shall do no injustice in court. You shall not be partial to the poor or defer to the great, but in righteousness shall you judge your neighbor.”  Leviticus 19:15

What does the Bible mean that we are not to judge others?

How was the flood in the time of Noah just? It was a judgement of God. God is judging our nation the USA today.. yes we are seeing part of it. But there is hope for you today in Christ.

What does it mean that “the sin of the Amorites has not yet reached its full measure” (Genesis 15:16)? God still judges the immoral and wicked. How many babies have been murdered in our Western World. Do you think God has forgotten about all those He created? Turn and trust Jesus -- repent, believe and follow the living Word.

What does the Bible say about AIDS / HIV? Is AIDS / HIV a judgment from God?

Do you really know all the facts about this Covid 19 and Delta Variant.. really? I don't.

What is the meaning of pestilence in the Bible?

I'm not trying to make you feel bad or afraid, believer. If I was lost today, I would do well to fear and quickly come to Christ on His terms. Do you have the holy fear of God inside?

What does “perfect love casts out fear” mean?

“Therefore you have no excuse, O man, every one of you who judges. For in passing judgment on another you condemn yourself, because you, the judge, practice the very same things. We know that the judgment of God rightly falls on those who practice such things. Do you suppose, O man—you who judge those who practice such things and yet do them yourself—that you will escape the judgment of God?” Romans 2:1-3 Read more..

Jesus said...

“Judge not, that ye be not judged.
For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.
Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.”
Matthew 7:1-6

The more strictly we judge others, the more strict God will judge us. God will hold us to that standard. We all fail from time to time, but we are not God. Our judgements are temporal and God’s are eternal because he sees everything. He has a wider and longer view.

The people who are strictest with others are often the ones least likely to accept strictness.

Our present culture believes in the icon of permissiveness, the deeply held conviction that tolerance is the same as love. However, the Bible teaches that we must discriminate; we must make careful judgments regarding prophets, doctrine, values, and lifestyles.

What happens at the final judgment?

What does it means that mercy triumphs over judgment (James 2:13)?

What does it mean that the Holy Spirit will convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment?

What are all the different judgments in the Bible?

Eternal Judgment.. tell us more on this.

What does the Bible say about when God will judge us?

What does the Bible say about when God will judge us?

Good idea for us all. Judge you first, tell on yourself, confess, turn and trust -- come to Jesus today

When will Judgment Day occur? What exactly is going to happen on Judgment Day?

Did ya know Jesus used the term disciple but never Christian. Let's live as both in fellowship with God, cuz nothing is more important. So when was the term Christian first used? In Acts. “The disciples were first called Christians in Antioch” Acts 11:26.

Disciple and Christian are related but not synonymous. The Greek term for “disciple” in the New Testament is mathetes, which means more than just “student” or “learner.”

A disciple is a “follower,” someone who adheres completely to the teachings of another, making them his rule of life and conduct. The Pharisees prided themselves in being disciples of Moses (John 9:28), but they were not because they were proud and and mean, but Moses was humble and kindhearted.

Jesus’ followers were called “disciples” long before they were ever called “Christians.” Their discipleship began with Jesus’ call and required them to exercise their will to follow Him (Matthew 9:9).

What is the best known command for believers to gently, to respectfully, and to tactfully evangelize with the truth?

Yep, it’s found in Matthew 28:18-20.

There is another good Bible command to make disciples (v. 19) of those who choose to turn and trust in Christ.. and that’s because evangelism leads to disciples.

“And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, ‘All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit..’” Matthew 28:18-19 nkjv

God doesn’t merely want you to come forward to and for His Son, but to go forward with His Son. He does care about your dreams, but His plans for you are better than your own plans for yourself.

For real? Yep, God is still making disciples today.  Of all nations!

Are you Christ’s disciple yet

What’s that all about? Good or bad? It about living like a believer in Jesus and helping others to stabilize and grow spiritually. You can be involved in this, believer

Need a crash course in this?

Do you have the disciplines of a disciple

Sure, God has a part to play and each and everyone of us believers do as well. We don’t want to try to do his part. We simply want to prayerfully follow Christ and do our part in this. Remember, we don’t save anyone (we make none born again like He can do). And we can’t make anyone grow in grace or mature either, but God can if they want His help. How do we do our part to make disciples? Fish4souls.org

We are to speak out of our love for Jesus.
We are to speak out for what is true and right and good.
We are to speak out against what is evil, and wrong and destructive to people.

What is cheap grace? And what is sound Christian discipleship?

What does it mean to “count the cost” (Luke 14:28)?

What is easy believism?

What is the difference between a real Christian and a real disciple?

What is heavy shepherding? It’s weird. Why be controlling of others? No need for that.

What does it mean that Christ’s disciples are to be salt and light (Matthew 5:13-16)? Is it about walkin’ it and talkin’ it.. in that order? (Got questions, thanks).

Living as a born again Christian disciple involves these five things for your personal spiritual growth:

1. Putting Jesus first in all things, seeking Him with your whole heart (Mark 8:34-38). Half ain't so good. The disciple of Christ needs to be set apart from the world. Our focus should be on our Lord and pleasing Him in every area of our lives. We must put off self-centeredness and put on Christ-centeredness.

2. Following Jesus where He leads you -- following his Bible teachings as He empowers (John 8:31-32). We must be obedient children and doers of the Word. Obedience is the supreme test of faith in God (1 Samuel 28:18), and Jesus is the perfect example of obedience as He lived a life on earth of complete obedience to the Father even to the point of death (Philippians 2:6-8).

3. Faithful fruitfulness (John 15:5-8). If you're faithful, God will make you fruitful. We abide in the vine and then never have to strain to produce fruit. Our job is not producing fruit. Our job is to abide in Christ, and if we do, the Holy Spirit will produce the fruit, and this fruit is the result of our obedience. As we become more obedient to the Lord and learn to walk in His ways, our lives will change. The biggest change will take place in our hearts, and the overflow of this will be new conduct (thoughts, words and actions) representative of that change. The change we seek is done from the inside out, through the power of the Holy Spirit. It isn’t something we can conjure up on our own.

4. Sincere love for other disciples (and showing love for the lost as well. See John 13:34-35). We are told that love of other believers is the evidence of our being a member of God’s family (1 John 3:10). Love is defined and elaborated on in 1 Corinthians 13:1-13. These verses show us that love is not an emotion; it is action. We must be doing something and involved in the process. Furthermore, we are told to think more highly of others than of ourselves and to look out for their interests (Philippians 2:3-4). The next verse in Philippians (verse 5) really sums up what we are to do when it comes to everything in life: "our attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus." What a perfect example He is to us for everything we are to do in our Christian walk.

5. Evangelism - winning lost people to Jesus and then making disciples of other believers as they are open to this (Matthew 28:18-20). There is a way for all. We are to share our faith and tell nonbelievers about the wonderful changes Jesus Christ has made in our lives. No matter what our maturity level in the Christian life, we have something to offer. Too often, we believe the lie from Satan that we don’t really know enough or haven't been a Christian long enough to make a difference. Not true! Some of the most enthusiastic representatives of the Christian life are new believers who have just discovered the awesome love of God. They may not know a lot of Bible verses or the "accepted" way of saying things, but they have experienced the love of the living God, and that is exactly what we are to share.

Remember the American dream? Gone now, wasn’t really that old. May she rest in peace. Latin - requiescat in pace.

But never give up on the One who delights to bring life out of really dead stuff, dreams, nations and people.

It was here, but now it’s history.

Time is like a river. You cannot touch the water twice, because the flow that has passed will never pass again.

image
image

Franklin Graham was speaking at the First Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Florida, when he said “America will not come back.” He wrote – “The American dream ended on November 6th, 2012. The second term of Barack Obama has been the final nail in the coffin for the legacy of the white Christian males who discovered, explored, pioneered, settled and developed the greatest republic in the history of mankind. A coalition of blacks, Latinos, feminists, gays, government workers, union members, environmental extremists, the media, Hollywood, uninformed your people, the “forever needy,” the chronically unemployed, illegal aliens and other “fellow travelers” have ended Norman Rockwell’s America.

You will never again out-vote these people. It will take individual acts of defiance and massive displays of civil disobedience to get back the rights we have allowed them to take away. It will take zealots, not moderates and shy, not reach-across-the-aisle RINOs (Republicans in Name Only), to right this ship and restore our beloved country to its former status. People like me are completely politically irrelevant, and I will probably never again be able to legally comment on or concern myself with the aforementioned coalition, which has surrendered our culture, our heritage and our traditions without a shot being fired.

The Cocker Spaniel is off the front porch, the pit bull is in the back yard, the American Constitution has been replaced with Saul Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals” and the likes of Chicago shyster David Axelrod, along with international socialist George Soros, had been pulling the strings on their beige puppet and have brought us Act II of the New World Order.

The curtain will come down but the damage has been done, the story has been told. Those who come after us will once again have to risk their lived, their fortunes and their sacred honor to bring back the Republic that this generation has timidly frittered away due to white guilt and political correctness.”

image

We hear from well-meaning teachers and friends often that people are good. You and I know there are a lot of decent people in America, but where does it say that? Jesus said only one is good.

Then a certain ruler asked Him, ‘Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?” “Why do you call Me good?’ Jesus replied. ‘No one is good except God alone.’”  Luke 18:18-19

Man’s heart is “deceitful and desperately wicked” (Jeremiah 17:9). The Bible tells us that man is born dead in transgression and sin (Psalm 51:5, Psalm 58:3, Ephesians 2:1-5). The Bible teaches that because unregenerate man is “dead in transgressions” (Ephesians 2:5), he is held captive by a love for sin (John 3:19; John 8:34). Can people still turn to (repent) and trust (believe) in Christ? Yes.

Let's return to the Lord. Let's get home before really dark. Let's come to...come back to Him and the Bible

Depravity happens. Has been here. For a long time. I too was part of the problem, but God forgave me. What a relief to bail on dead religion and find Christ. He was lookin' for me like a good Shepherd. He is one and does that.

The spiritual condition of fallen man in this sin-cursed world is utterly hopeless (I was hopeless for 17 years).. our condition is hopeless apart from the living Christ of the Bible.

But hope can be had.

Who today can be forgiven and saved spiritually? You, know.. born again spiritually?” (God uses those terms "saved" "born again" in the Bible. See John 3:3Blog)

Kurt, can hope still make a comeback? Can the Lord still pour out His Spirit? Can He send a fifth great awakening along with an authentic revival in answer to prayer.. to America or to your Land? Yes. He is our living hope. Together let's ask Him to.

Of course the answer remains the same: “With people this is impossible, but with God all things are possible(Matthew 19:25-26).

Today.. over 10,000 Americans are trapped in Afghanistan still. They were given an email address and told to shelter in place. There'll probably be hostages taken like with the Iran hostage crisis, but perhaps email will help them? There's other airports nearby but.. is our POTUS flying all these military age men to the USA? YEP. I don't see any women or children on the planes. Fort Bliss in Texas is receiving many. Joe gave over $500 million for the Afghani refugees now, masks might come later. How many do you think are vaccinated?

Let's pray for our nation and those around the world: Father God, we praise you that you are sovereign over all things on this planet. This world gone crazy really needs you and I need you as well. We humbly ask you to send a biblical revival and an authentic spiritual Awakening. Please keep believers, and use us to save the lost as we point them to Jesus. Turn us back to you again Lord, turn us back to the truth of the Bible. Pour out your Spirit here like you've never done before.. I mean more and more and more. Your Word says You keep the wicked from reaching their goal. Please stop them right in their tracks- make their plans go awry. Protect the innocent in their path. Be their hiding place and refuge, and shield them with Your wings, Amen.
