In the long-run is choosing the path of least resistance...

..the new "easy way" a.k.a. of laziness (while lustin’ after another Government stimulus check) really better than the old path of diligence?

Sup with that? I’ve never before seen so many Americans wanting to stay unemployed at home rather than go do some hard smart work? You know some stress is actually good, so do you think this is healthy when you and I were designed to unselfishly go work vigorously? Do you have some skills and talents to develop, to hone and to gain excellent expertise with in this world?

Muscles can also go away through neglect. I say use em or lose em.

Michael Jordan is known to be one of the best basketball players of all time, and his work ethic was and is legendary says some. In college he was quoted saying that “Nobody will ever work as hard as I work.”

He put in countless hours, practicing just as hard as he played because he wanted to be the best. At the University of North Carolina, he would continue to practice after the rest of the team would be departing the gym, but he would strongly ask the best players to stay a while so that he could play against and learn from them. His work ethic was like infectious and eventually inspired his teammates to put in the work as well.

Q: Not sure what he believes, but how is/was Michael Jordan’s work ethic tied to his success?

Q: How can our work ethic glorify the Lord

Q: What impact does our work ethic have on our witness?

Q: Working hard is good, but can it ever become a bad thing? Yup. We know laziness and delayed obedience is bad. How can we be still, pray, hear from the Lord and quickly go do His will? Good works as unto Him.

Let's pray and then work the works God has planned for us to work - why delay to obey? Delayed obedience is full disobedience.

“To this very day My Father is at His work, and I too am working.’ Because of this, the Jews tried all the harder to kill Him.” John 5:17–18

“We must work the works of him who sent me while it is day; night is coming, when no one can work.” John 9:4

Can waiting ever become a bad thing for believers? Yes it can, you know it can. Remember when Moses was at the Red Sea and trapped by the Egyptian army and he’d been crying out to God. What was the Lord telling him to do at that time? Can we pray as we go where He tells us to go? Sure. Pray without ceasing, pray in the Spirit, in total harmony with the Holy Spirit.

“‘Stand still’ — keep the posture of an upright man, ready for action, expecting further orders, cheerfully and patiently awaiting the directing voice; and it will not be long ere God shall say to you, as distinctly as Moses said it to the people of Israel, ‘Go forward.’ If the Lord Jehovah makes us wait, let us do so with our whole hearts; for blessed are all they that wait for Him. He is worth waiting for. The waiting itself is beneficial to us: it tries faith, exercises patience, trains submission, and endears the blessing when it comes. The Lord’s people have always been a waiting people.” ~ Charles H. Spurgeon

The Lord said to Moses, Why do you cry to Me? Tell the sons of Israel to move forward toward the sea. As for you, lift up your staff and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it, so that the sons of Israel may go through the middle of the sea on dry land. As for Me, hear this: I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they will go in the sea after them; and I will be glorified and honored through Pharaoh and all his army, and his war-chariots and his horsemen. And the Egyptians shall know without any doubt and acknowledge that I am the Lord, when I am glorified and honored through Pharaoh, through his war-chariots and his charioteers.” Exodus 14:15–18 amp

Yeah, go look at it in context again. The Egyptians chose to harden their hearts against God and not to obey Him, and so God made hardened them in their hardness. He wanted them to know that He alone is God the Lord.

“God said to Moses: Why cry out to me? Speak to the Israelites. Order them to get moving. Hold your staff high and stretch your hand out over the sea: Split the sea! The Israelites will walk through the sea on dry ground. ‘Meanwhile I’ll make sure the Egyptians keep up their stubborn chase — I’ll use Pharaoh and his entire army, his chariots and horsemen, to put my Glory on display so that the Egyptians will realize that I am God.’” Exodus 14:15–18 msg

Where’s the balance in this life? It’s in waiting, walking and working closely with the Lord.

“We are too often in haste to sin. Oh that we might be in a greater hurry to obey (Him).” ~ C.H. Spurgeon

Q: How can starting your day out waiting on the Lord in prayer have and impact on your life.. on other lives as well? Healthy way to go? Oh yes
