Been watching the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) being loyal to both American leadership and to the people! It's impressive -- she's been carefully putting all the pieces together, naming the names, and boldly exposing an ugly operation that was launched in late 2016 to overturn the will of the American people in taking down their chosen leader.
And now there are a whole lot of corrupt people looking to lawyer up! Should we break out the popcorn?
Q: Does the Bible have anything to say about a backstabbing traitor who has been out to destroy from within, versus a loyal citizen in the Land?
Yes.
The Bible sharply warns against the seditiousness of traitors or being a disloyal traitor who is out to destroy a family, a city, a local church, a company, a nation from within, but God really commends the honest, godly and loyal person:2 Timothy 3:1–5 – Describes the traitors of these end-times: “lovers of self.. treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit.. having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power.”
→ Avoid such wicked people, choose not to be like them, but expose the evil they do so those in delegated authority can quickly and thoroughly stop and punish them. Evil on lookers need to learn.
Psalm 55:12–14 – “It is not an enemy who taunts me.. but it is you, a man, my equal, my companion, my familiar friend.”
→ Betrayal cuts deepest when it’s from within, from someone who talks nicely like they're your friend.
Proverbs 11:11 – “By the blessing of the upright a city is exalted, but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.”
→ Wicked insiders.. even those rewarded leadership positions can destroy a nation with their words.
Isaiah 1:4 – The Bible speaks about “a sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, offspring of evildoers, children who deal corruptly!”
→ National ruin begins with inward corruption and treachery.
Romans 16:17–18 – “Watch out for those who cause divisions.. avoid them.”
→ Mark them, remember well, and stay away from the divisive insiders. Don't listen to all the race baiters who want their own hate to also become your hatred of people. There indeed are some bad attitudes, evil behaviors, wrong ideas and false teachings to hate, but we are never to choose hatred of people.
Hey Christian, God calls for real justice and fairness in your walk and in mine. Why? Cuz He is always that way -- totally fair and just in all his ways (Leaders, I say look at all the evidence closely, thoroughly and deal with it and the criminals quickly).

Traitors Within Often Play The Long Game: Study What All That The Bible And Real History Say About Betrayal, Loyalty, and Courage.
“Even my close friend, someone I trusted, one who shared my bread, has turned against me.” —Psalm 41:9
Betrayal goes deep --it is that slippery sin that slithers in under the cloak of apparent friendship. Real friends often get hurt and killed. It is the kiss of Judas, the smooth tongue of the whisperer, and the hidden dagger aimed not at the body but the soul. The Bible speaks often—and urgently—about this treacherous behavior because it brings devastation not just to individuals, but to entire communities, churches, and nations.
1. Treachery: The Hidden Cancer of Society
A family, a church, a school, a company, a city, and a nation can overcome and advance after having fools attack, but many of these simply do not continue on after treason happens from within.
“Traitors, reckless, swollen with conceit..” —2 Timothy 3:4
From Ahithophel to Judas, Scripture lays bare the anatomy of betrayal. They often come from the inner circle—those trusted, respected, even loved.

These men weren’t strangers to God’s work. They were insiders. Their fall warns us that betrayal always begins quietly, in the heart.

Jesus Christ’s own betrayal was prophesied in the Scriptures and it was permitted by God the Father, but it did not remove the pain form all that. Love is not God, but God is love and love always feels the plunging of the dagger from false friendship most deeply! It cost the Father in sending His sinless Son here as the ultimate Solution for our sin. It cost when Jesus He demonstraited his great love for you and me on the Cross.
2. The Destructive Power of Hidden Enemies

Choose early never to be subversive, sedicious or divisive against God's authority or against delegated authorities he has set in. Being a trouble maker is not helpful for anyone. Not every traitor swings a sword—many destroy with hideous whispers. Lies, slander, gossip, the sowing of discord and disunity harm. The Bible associates betrayal not only with violence, but with speech. The Bible says...
"They speak deceitful and worthless words to one another; with flattering lips and a double heart they speak. May the Lord cut off all flattering lips, the tongue that speaks great things in boasting;" Psalm 12:2–3 amp
"A false witness who breathes out lies even half-truths, and one who spreads discord (rumors) among brothers." Proverbs 6:19 amp
There are some bad examples we can each learn from -- what not to think, what not to say, what never to do: Remember your history lesson about 1775. There was this evil man, Benedict Arnold was an American hero but then he turned into a stealthy traitor (and that is what he is most remembered for, his bad acts). He gave up strategic military secrets to the enemy at that time, the British in exchange for money and status. Oh how he wanted some status more than he had. But even the British didn’t like or trust him fully. He made some really poor choices. His name is now synonymous with backstabbing and betrayal, and he died a very bitter and broken man. I hear that he was ashamed.
Backstabbers often gain the world—but lose their soul, their peace, and their legacy.

3. How God Sees the Loyal and the Betrayer
“The Lord abhors.. a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers.” —Proverbs 6:16–19
In contrast, God loves the loyal, the faithful, the peacemaker.

4. Exposing Evil, Upholding Truth
“Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.” —Ephesians 5:11
Lord, help us and our nation. We want to advance spiritually with You!
“Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” —Romans 12:21
Betrayal cannot be ignored. In the home, in the church, in the nation—it must be confronted, not with rage, but with truth and prayerful courage.
There once was a Christian activist named William Wilberforce. He boldly confronted the entrenched evil of slavery in England. How great is that! There's still a lot of slavery going on today, even in the Western nations. Many in Parliament turned on Wilberforce. But he pressed on, saying:
“You may choose to look the other way, but you can never say again that you did not know.”
5. What We Must Do. Pray, Appeal And Act.

Guard our hearts — Sure, regularly check for unconfessed sin like pride, greed, or bitterness in there. You know, that hatred of people, or nursing grudges, it could creep in. Every moment of your life matters.

Pray for God's discernment — Not everyone close is loyal (1 John 4:1).

Expose evil with God's wisdom and humility — (See Galatians 6:1), especially when it harms the innocent.

Promote unity and truth — Stand for the truth in love, without compromise.

Trust God's justice — As David did that (See Psalm 37).

Day in and Day out, Be Found Faithful Even In the Little Things.
God said so.
In a world filled with smooth-talking traitors and wolves in sheep’s clothing, we are called to courage, loyalty, and light. The traitor rots the city, but the righteous rebuild it.
Be that faithful one with a good attitude--it's a daily choice. Pray and stay in the move of God. Let your words heal, edify, comfort, build up, challenge, and not wound God or people. Let your decent walk and loyalty speak louder than the slander. Follow your Chief Shepherd closely. Be intimate and honest with him. He can handle it, when you share your feelings, dreams and thoughts with Him. Let your life reflect the faithfulness of Jesus Christ—who never betrays, and never forgets.

While we cannot be absolutely certain as to why Judas betrayed Jesus, some things are certain.
?How can I heal up from the pain of betrayal and more on? Yup!
Judas betrayed the Lord to the Jewish authorities for some coinage. The pre-arranged signal was that the person Judas kissed was to be arrested and taken away.

What do we do about betrayal -- "how do you cope" with all that? Got some trust issues today? Come to the Lord cuz he totally gets it. He understands you completely.
