May you experience grace from God's word today.

At Yale the Novelist Alice O'Connor (aka self acknowledged Agnostic Ayn Rand) was asked “What’s wrong with this modern world?”

She basically responded with, “Never before has the world been more frantically asking for the answers to crucial questions and never before has the world been so frantically committed to the idea that no answers are possible.”

The modern attitude of the world is: Father forgive us for we know not what we are doing and don’t really want any answers.

Barna Research has found that: Only 18% of those who call them Christians read the Bible every day. And 23% of so called Christians say that they never read the Bible at all..ever. Tragic!

God has revealed himself to us. Yes he has, up in the skies says the Psalmist, in the Scriptures too, and in our souls (we sense his kind solace and grace). He has revealed himself so that we each could know him on a personal basis.

“To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows His handiwork. Day unto day utters speech, and night unto night reveals knowledge. There is no speech nor language Where their voice is not heard. Their line has gone out through all the earth, And their words to the end of the world. In them He has set a tabernacle for the sun..” Psalm 19:1-4

“For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened.” Romans 1:20-21

God has clearly spoken, there are viable answers in the Bible and yes, there is absolute truth.

Can the Bible really change my life? Yep!

“The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul; the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple; the statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes; the fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever; the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.” Psalm 19:7-10 Six groups of three here. Different titles for the Bible.

Really now.. does the Bible really change a person’s life? Yup. God changes us by his word! We turn from sin to Him, we opt to trust and believe in him and we are born of his Spirit.

The world loves to talk about growth and spiritual growth these days, but there is zero spiritual growth independent of God’s word.

God's grace comes to the repentant, to the humble. to anyone who turn, trust and ask God for saving grace. Yep, they choose to believe, as they look to Jesus as Savior and Lord.  Come to Him as you are, confess and believe.

This is what else it will do for you. The Psalmist says it restores your soul converting your souls. It refreshes your inner person, the real you. It deals with your soul in such a good way. It will renew your mind – it makes wise the simple. Practical guidance. It helps my family, it helps in financial challenges, it helps with my health as well. It rejoices your heart to where you want to have a righteous PARTY! It can work ya over if you’re acting destructive, but more so it’ll refocus your vision. Illuminating the dark. It’ll remain forever. The principles in this Book stay accurate – they remain forever! Timeless!
