Real relationship, up and out!

“Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.” 1 Thessalonians 5:11

Q: Is it actually possible to spend too much time on your phone ..seeing or not seeing dangers.. or seein’ what seems like perfect exciting lives, or spend too much time on the internet and start feelin’ depressed or bein’ guilty of the sin of idolatry? Sure, so many good things can become bad for us or “idols” — so many good tools we love can become a hindrance instead of a help.

Some believers just don't get alone with the Lord enough--they tend to burn out. And others merely get alone too much--they dry out.

A healthy local church can be such a blessing, as we build up and go out with the gospel!

God tells us in Hebrews 10:25, “do not forsake assembling..”

"..not forsaking our meeting together as believers for worship and instruction, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more [faithfully] as you see the day of Christ’s return approaching." Hebrews 10:25 amp

Please do get alone daily and talk it out with the Lord. Listen up too. Then go get with those who are growing spiritually. When we assemble as the Body of Christ sharing His Word and genuine care, we really stir each other up in pure love and encourage one other in our faith. In the sheepshead and elsewhere we can edify!

“A man who isolates himself seeks his own desires; he rages against all wise judgment.” Proverbs 18:1

“Who lives by himself follows his own whim; he is angered by advice of any kind.” (jb)

“The man who holds aloof seeks every pretext to bare his teeth; he defies all sound judgment.’ (neb)

Some people opt to live all alone because friends and or family members have let them down somehow. Is that you? I don’t want you lonely. God’s love (often expressed through His body of real believers, the church) is there for you. It’s a good day to fellowship upwards first and then outwards.. wherever we get together.

Listen, Psalm 27:10 is for individuals like you and others too. “When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take care of me.”

We are to remain dependent upon Christ, and interdependent with each other in fellowship. (Read more. Blog)
