F4S: In our world, new trends just come and go, but not everything is like that.

In our world, new trends just come and go, but not everything is like that.

So many of us tend to like the many things that are brand-spankin’ new! Some are pretty helpful as well.

Wow, often they’re so interesting! The new thing or widget comes along or is sold for a while.. it might even come back later and be sold again at a much higher price, but then something else becomes new and shiny and quickly replaces it. That’s how it is here. The former get’s sort of elbowed out by the better so to speak.

In contrast, God’s Word is always fresh — ain’t ever goin’ away. Do you pray about what you’re reading in the Bible? Do you ask God for understanding, and how He would have you wisely apply what you are reading? That’s important!

In this ever-changing world around us, the Message of God’s Word is old, but His illumination, His application for us, and the life from the Word can be so new for us! WAY FRESH AND FITTING!

“Ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls.” Jeremiah 6:16

Abiding in the Word sure beat striving in the flesh.

Let’s meditate not on nothingness, but on Scripture. As you do this, simply ask yourself some questions:

1. What does this passage teach me about God?
2. What does this passage teach me about the church?
3. What does this passage teach me about the world?
4. What does this passage teach me about myself? About my own desires and motives?
5. Does this passage require that I take action? If so, what action should I take?
6. What do I need to confess and/or repent of?
7. What have I learned from this passage that will help me to abide in the living Word, and laser-focus on glorifying God the Father?

Go for it — for the Word! The degree to which we study truth, memorize truth, and meditate on God’s truth.. is the degree to which we understand how it applies to our lives. But merely understanding how the Word applies is not enough; we must actually apply it (James 1:22). “Application” implies action, and obedient action is the final step in causing God’s Word to come to life in our lives.

What is the key to applying the Bible to my daily life?

God, please help me grasp what you are trying to teach me. I want your understanding and perspective in the Bible. I need You!

What is deductive Bible study?

What is inductive Bible study? How can I understand the Bible and its message to me?

I don’t need any spooky Bible codes, but why should I trust the Bible?

Why is Your Word, the so Bible reliable after all these years?

What does the Bible say about strength?

God’s people have often been prone to wander from the good path that He prescribes in the Bible (Exodus 20:1–17Mark 12:30–31), but it’s time for us to get back to Him and quit that. How has taking a stride from my Master’s side ever helped me even a little? It hasn’t, not even once.

I love God the Father, new zoe life, and “the ancient paths” (Deuteronomy 6:1–9Leviticus 19:18), because God’s old paths point us to His Son Jesus the only way of salvation!

Many people have told me that they crave new revelation, but HEY, we have God’s old revelation the Bible which is far better. It’s often the money-grubbing false prophets that peddle “new revelations”. Listen, if it’s new it ain't true, and if it’s true it ain’t new.

Remember when the psalmist David wrote, “The instructions of the Lord are perfect, reviving the soul. The decrees of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple. The commandments of the Lord are right, bringing joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are clear, giving insight for living” (Psalm 19:7–8 NLT).

Man, who doesn’t want to be revived in this day and age? I sure do.. everyday! Have you ever seen a time when our Nation needed reviving from God’s Word more than now? I haven’t.

Unlike the flawed, imperfect reasoning of humans which can’t spiritually revive us. God’s Word can do that. The Word of God is perfect!

None can grow spiritually apart from the Word of God. There is none of that good growth independent from a relationship with Jesus Christ!

The Word of God is also a valuable treasure. Please continue to hear what David said on this, “The laws of the Lord are true; each one is fair. They are more desirable than gold, even the finest gold” (9–10 NLT).

If ya will, we can go mining for precious gold in the Scriptures every morning. The Message describes it this way: “If you make insight your priority, and won’t take no for an answer, searching for it like a prospector panning for gold, like an adventurer on a treasure hunt, believe me, before you know it Fear-of-God will be yours; you’ll have come upon the Knowledge of God” (Proverbs 2:3–5 MSG).

When you pause and think about it, that is an excellent zealous way to approach the Word of God.

Listen, one day you and I will arrive at our very last day here. It might be the time of the rapture or when we (slow or fast) physically pass away, but we each can be ready in advance!

Sure we can. It might be sooner or it might be a little later, but you and I are now in our last days so to speak, and we won’t even care on that final day here about how many new widgets we have or how much money we’ve piled up.

What we will care about is what God in the Bible has clearly said. Why? Because this is the one book that addresses every need of people and it tells us how we can enter into His holy Heaven instead of into that dreaded super lonely other place of suffering called Hell.

This is the one book that helps you really know God in an intimate way and have His assurance deep inside of you. We each need Him, His Word and a Bible-teaching local church to grow up spiritually healthy.

“Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. I have written these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life.” 1 John 5:12-13

God’s Word is totally trustworthy every hour, every day of the week, and every year of your life. He doesn’t have a political agenda or a lust for money so His news is positive, helpful, and straightforward. That’s how He rolls. He ain’t taking bribes, He isn’t about spin. Never has been. He’s for you, and He’s for people.

What does it mean that the worlds were framed by the word of God (Hebrews 11:3)?

What is the living Word?

What are the oracles of God? What is an oracle in the Bible? Where does that phrase using “oracles of God” occur in the Bible?

“The instructions of the LORD are perfect, reviving the soul. The decrees of the LORD are trustworthy, making wise the simple.”
— Psalm 19:7

What is the meaning of living for God’s living Word? What does it mean to live your life in and through the Word of God (100% for Jesus Christ)?

How is God’s Word a lamp to my feet (Psalm 119:105)?

“Happy are those who hear God’s Word and put it into practice.”
Luke 11:28

“Every Word of God proves true. He defends all who come to Him for protection.” Proverbs 30:5

“The sum of your word is truth, and every one of your righteous rules endures forever.” Psalm 119:160

“Your Word is truth.” John 17:17

“For the Scriptures tell us that bread won’t feed men’s souls: obedience to every Word of God is what we need.” Matthew 4:4

“Heaven and earth will pass away, but My Words will never pass away.”
Matthew 24:35

“Grass withers, flowers fade, but the Word of our God endures forever.”
Isaiah 40:8

“Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall by following the same pattern of disobedience. For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it pierces even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow. It judges the thoughts and intentions of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight; everything is uncovered and exposed before the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.” Hebrews 4:12–13

“Everything in the Scriptures is God’s Word. All of it is useful for teaching and helping people and for correcting them and showing them how to live. The Scriptures train God’s servants to do all kinds of good deeds.” 2 Timothy 3:16,17

“My Word, which comes from My mouth, is like the rain and snow. It will not come back to Me without results. It will accomplish whatever I want and achieve whatever I send it to do.” Isaiah 55:11

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through Him all things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made.” John 1:1–3

What does it mean that the Word was with God? And how can the Word be with God and be God at the same time?

“My Word..will not come back to Me without results. It will accomplish whatever I want and achieve whatever I send it to do.” Isaiah 55:11

What does it mean that the Word of God will not return void?

What does it mean that God’s Word is settled in heaven (Psalm 119:89)?

How can Jesus and the Bible both be the Word of God? If Jesus is the Logos (Word) of God, how can the Bible also be the Logos (Word) of God?

What do John 1:1,14 mean when they declare that Jesus is the Word of God?

What did Jesus actually mean when He said, “Your word is truth” in John 17:17?

Is the Bible truly God’s Word — did all those words in it actually come from God?

What does it mean to preach the Word (2 Timothy 4:2)?

What does it mean that the Word of God is living and active (Hebrews 4:12)?

How can the Word of God divide soul and spirit (Hebrews 4:12)?

Got some more questions about the Bible?

What are some of the most famous and important questions in the Bible?

Remember trustworthy NEWs platforms we used to listen to on TV? Remember NEWspapers or NEWs magazines? We used to subscribe, read and or deliver them to homes. No more. They have become obsolete and so outdated because we all can find direct access to the latest news from much better sources who won’t twist it all.. like even popular Social Media Platforms love to do with all their warning banners.

God ain’t mad at you, He’s mad about you and has a good plan for your life. In fact, His plan for you is way better than your plan for yourself. How will you ever begin to know unless you get to know Him?

God’s Word is one hundred percent trustworthy — He’s my main Source and His Good News never changes cuz He and His holy character never change.

He ain’t like dead religion or religious leaders. You and I need the Jesus of the Bible, and we all need His free salvation. Please get home before dark.

“He has eyes like blazing fire, and many royal crowns on His head. He has a name written on Him that only He Himself knows. He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and His name is The Word of God.” Revelation 19:12–13

The world's news and new trends here come and go, and sadly many people are fickle like that too. They go.. but Christ will guide and stay by your side.

When evangelist Billy Sunday became a born again Christian, an older believer gave him some good advice. He said, "William, there are three basic.. very simple rules I can give to you, and if you will hold to them, you will never write 'backslider' after your name.  You and I never want backslider to be written about us or after our names, we'd rather please our Lord as long as he has us here.

1. Take fifteen minutes each day to listen to God talking to you (The Bible is God's love letter to the christian. We can daily let his good thoughts saturate our minds, hearts, words, and human spirits.

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to God.” Colossians 3:16

2. Take fifteen minutes each day to talk to God;

3. Take fifteen minutes each day to talk to others about God."

When you prayerfully read the word with a heart to understand and wisely apply it, God will give you illumination into the truth and this is so edifying -- WAY encouraging!

God's word is enlightening, nurturing, purifying, comforting, uplifting, thirst quenching, hunger satisfying, strengthening, cleansing and perfecting cuz the living word of God is without any error-- completely perfect!

When you take time to get real, I mean to get totally honest with God about your hopes, dreams wishes, aspirations and challenges.. you can Have the assurance inside that God is at work cuz his plan for you is better than your own plan for yourself.

When you take time to hear people and converse with them showing respect with overflowing joy from Jesus, you can expect miracles to happen as God transforms some of them into new creatures.
