Does your body run, jump (mule-kick off a slope), dance, or surf barrels like it used to, or does it now have a few pains to contend with?
"For the Lord Himself will come down from heaven with a shout of command, with the voice of the archangel and with the [blast of the] trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain [on the earth] will simultaneously be caught up (raptured) together with them [the resurrected ones] in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord!" 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 amp
The Promise Of Resurrection -- It'll Be A Lasting Glorious Transformation For You
In fact every human will one day be resurrected and get a much different body than what they lived with here on earth. All humans will exist forever on one location or another. Some will be caught away, and then be changed in one-sixth of a nanosecond (that's the amount of time it takes for light to reach the interior retina of your eye. Yes, not even the time it takes for a full blink). Yes, believers midflight will be changed as they rise up to eternal life with God. This is just basic Christian teaching. Go read your Bible.
The Great White Throne Judgement will soon become more than mere words from a church -- it will be a very sobering reality for many lost people.
I pray many lost people will hear the Spirit pointing them to Jesus, and understand His gospel, and respond to God on His terms and won't even be there. Grasp it, the truth, the warnings of Scripture and respond in time!
Tragically, some people will get a much different body, and they'll sadly face eternal separation from God. I hate that, and don't want this for anyone!
Q: How come the Bible calls the Christian's resurrected body a glorified body? Well, God in His Word calls our resurrected bodies glorified because they are new, immortal, powerful and free from corruption and sin. If you already died.. no worries, Jesus will raise all the dead, giving them back physical bodies they lost at death yet a bit different.
It's kind of You 2.0
Believer, you'll get one that is upgraded, way better than you have now, totally incorruptible, immortal, empowered by the Spirit to serve, explore, and do good things, and completely free from suffering, sickness, aches, depression, deformity and other pains.
You might say something like: Wow, I'm stoked! This one is perfectly suited for life in eternity with my first Lord Jesus, and for acceptable worship of Him!
Resurrection is ahead for you. The Bible says, "Do not be surprised at this; for a time is coming when all those who are in the tombs will hear His voice, and they will come out—those who did good things [will come out] to a resurrection of [new] life, but those who did evil things [will come out] to a resurrection of judgment [that is, to be sentenced]." John 5:28–29
This promise of physical resurrection to believers carries with it the inner assurance of new, transformed bodies that will be amazing! They'll be perfectly suited for each person’s eternal destiny so be careful now what you put off, ask for and personally choose. Choose Jesus.
God will have no one in heaven who doesn't want to be there. He's always been a gentleman who never forces himself upon any, but the people who end up in the other place called Lake of Fire.. will indeed not want to stay there at all. No real friends or party in hell!
It's important to believe in. For those who belong to Christ, this bodily resurrection-transformation ahead, and the Bible's teaching about this.. is an essential among all essentials.
This Rez-doctrine is the capstone of Christianity in fact. It's what our hope in Jesus is all about—a home designed for each of us. Because of Christ, God the Father daily fills our hearts by His Spirit with wonder, excitement, joy, peace, awe, holy fear, good convictions, and good anticipation as well.
A Body Like Christ’s - You'll Have One Believer
A Body Like Christ’s - You'll Have One Believer
No, you won't have divinity -- you won't be a God like cults teach (to deceive).
Are Christians “little gods”? Are there various levels in heaven that we each can earn and attain? Nope. Are Jesus and Satan spirit brothers as Mormons teach? Nope, never were. Satan is a fallen angel and Jesus was never an angel.
While Scripture does not provide exhaustive details about our glorified bodies, it does give us glimpses that stir up our imagination and help to anchor us in Christ -- in our faith. The Apostle Paul assures us that our future bodies will be like the resurrected body of Jesus
"But [we are different, because] our citizenship is in heaven. And from there we eagerly await [the coming of] the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ; who, by exerting that power which enables Him even to subject everything to Himself, will [not only] transform [but completely refashion] our earthly bodies so that they will be like His glorious resurrected body." Philippians 3:20-21 amp
Just as He was raised in power and glory, so will we be. The decay and frailty of our earthly human existence will soon give way to something imperishable and eternal (1 Corinthians 15:42–44).
From Perishable to Imperishable
From Perishable to Imperishable
Our current bodies are marred by the effects of sin. They are subject to sickness, aging, and death. But in the resurrection, all that is broken will be made new. Paul writes, “The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable; it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power” (1 Corinthians 15:42–43). Imagine a body untouched by pain, weariness, or disease—a body free from the ravages of time. This is the destiny of every believer in Christ.
Clothed in Righteousness - Due To Repentance And Faith In Christ's And His Finished Work On The Cross.
In contrast to the shame and vulnerability that Adam and Eve experienced after they each made a horrible decision to disobey God.. after the fall of man into sin there.. our glorified bodies will reflect purity, dignity and honor.
The Revelation paints a picture of God’s redeemed people who are clothed in white (washed) garments, symbolizing purity, fierce holiness and His victory (Revelation 3:4–5). No longer will we struggle with temptation, iniquity, sin or its consequences. Instead, we will be fully restored, both physically, emotionally and spiritually, to the glory that God intended from the very beginning.
Empowered Here By The Spirit And Eternal
Empowered Here By The Spirit And Eternal
Our earthly bodies are of course bound by natural laws here and are weakened by sin. Aging weakens people too. Each human is on a trajectory that's one hundred percent terminal. Each one needs to properly address this.
In the resurrection, we will experience an all-new reality. Like Jesus Christ experienced, we will gain new bodies that are solid, recognizable and tangible, yet empowered by the Spirit for good works. They'll be unrestricted by the limitations of this present world here.
"Then the two from Emmaus told their story of how Jesus had appeared to them as they were walking along the road, and how they had recognized him as he was breaking the bread. And just as they were telling about it, Jesus himself was suddenly standing there among them. “Peace be with you,” he said. But the whole group was startled and frightened, thinking they were seeing a ghost! 'Why are you frightened?' he asked. “Why are your hearts filled with doubt? Look at my hands. Look at my feet. You can see that it’s really me. Touch me and make sure that I am not a ghost, because ghosts don’t have bodies, as you see that I do.” As he spoke, he showed them his hands and his feet. 41 Still they stood there in disbelief, filled with joy and wonder. Then he asked them, “Do you have anything here to eat?” They gave him a piece of broiled fish, and he ate it as they watched." Luke 24:35-43 nlt
We will no longer need food or drink to sustain us, but we will enjoy them in the fullness of God’s provision and fellowship. Remember when Jesus got kind of culinary, made breakfast, and enjoyed that with them? Yes, post-resurrection Christ served up some bread and fish to His buds/team/disciples. He had more than enough for them.
"Later, Jesus appeared again to the disciples beside the Sea of Galilee. This is how it happened. Several of the disciples were there—Simon Peter, Thomas (nicknamed the Twin), Nathanael from Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two other disciples. Simon Peter said, 'I’m going fishing.' 'We’ll come, too,” they all said. So they went out in the boat, but they caught nothing all night. At dawn Jesus was standing on the beach, but the disciples couldn’t see who he was. He called out, “Fellows,[c] have you caught any fish?” “No,” they replied. Then he said, “Throw out your net on the right-hand side of the boat, and you’ll get some!” So they did, and they couldn’t haul in the net because there were so many fish in it. Then the disciple Jesus loved said to Peter, 'It’s the Lord!' When Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on his tunic (for he had stripped for work), jumped into the water, and headed to shore. The others stayed with the boat and pulled the loaded net to the shore, for they were only about a hundred yards from shore. When they got there, they found breakfast waiting for them—fish cooking over a charcoal fire, and some bread. 'Bring some of the fish you’ve just caught,' Jesus said. So Simon Peter went aboard and dragged the net to the shore. There were 153 large fish, and yet the net hadn’t torn. “Now come and have some breakfast!” Jesus said. None of the disciples dared to ask him, 'Who are you?' They knew it was the Lord. Then Jesus served them the bread and the fish. This was the third time Jesus had appeared to his disciples since he had been raised from the dead." John 21:1-14 nlt
You Have Decisions To Make With Reverence. We All Do -- You Will Soon Be Fit For Eternity
You Have Decisions To Make With Reverence. We All Do -- You Will Soon Be Fit For Eternity
What you do with God's Son Jesus Christ today (accept and follow, or put this decision off, or outright reject Him) -- that's the most important decision you will ever make. What will you do? Don't be stubborn or put it off.
Just as our current bodies (for the most part, yes for most of us) are perfectly suited for life here on earth, our resurrected bodies will be perfectly suited for life in eternity. We will no longer be bound by weak fertility but will bask in the glory of God’s Holy presence. We will join the company of the redeemed (all the other saints), worshiping our Maker with strength, vigor, joy, and vitality that will never fade away. Sort of like Moses and Elijah stood in glorified splendor up there on the Mount of Transfiguration, so we too will stand in eternal satisfying fellowship with God the Father, the Holy Spirit and with Christ.
"As the men watched, Jesus’ appearance was transformed so that his face shone like the sun, and his clothes became as white as light. 3 Suddenly, Moses and Elijah appeared and began talking with Jesus." Matthew 17:2–3
Lasting Victory Is Through Christ Alone
Lasting Victory Is Through Christ Alone
The resurrection in connection with the Rapture is not just a future event; it is the victory already secured by Jesus for us believers. Through His death and resurrection (as the Scriptures foretold), He has conquered sin and death on our behalf.
The Bible says, "Then, when our dying bodies have been transformed into bodies that will never die, this Scripture will be fulfilled: 'Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?' For sin is the sting that results in death, and the law gives sin its power. But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ." 1 Corinthians 15:54-57 nlt
This promise of new, empowered, unending life is not only a hope for the future but it's a call to live every day now in light of eternity, pressing on toward the day when we each will be glorified up there with Him.
What kind of physical body will your decisions put you in? Come to Christ and humbly get real with Him today. What type of fitting will you choose to have?
It's a great life with Him. He hears us when we call out to Him and He meets our every need. Even if I never got a physical resurrection, new body, or heaven thrown in for free (I sure don't deserve these) I can honestly say it would have still be worth walking with Jesus. He's the friend that sticks closer than a brother! In Christ, we have the assurance of salvation, or new bodies, of heaven. Yes, we will reflect His shining glory too, free from weakness, aging, and sin. This transformation is not merely a good promise from God—it is a certainty grounded in the unshakable Scriptures -- the Word of God. Let's press in to know Him more, to stay focused. and to live on fire.. 100% for Christ with hearts ablaze and fixed on this hope!

Believer. it's no time for churchy or religious games any more, or for spiritual compromise. Father God help us love you like Jesus does, and also hate sin like He does.
Look around you now, the day is quickly approaching when we will see His physical resurrected countenance.. face to face.. as He really is, and we will be like Him. Can you tell the seasons? Can you recognize signs of the times.. and birthpangs too?
"Dear friends, we are already God’s children, but he has not yet shown us what we will be like when Christ appears. But we do know that we will be like him, for we will see him as he really is." 1 John 3:2 nlt
Oh, what a great day that will be!
