Chaos, Craziness, Catastrophes and the Call of Christ with His Peace.
He (Jesus) is SO there for you today no matter what you're going through. Tell Him all about it -- what you are feeling, experiencing, and thinking about the craziness surrounding you. Call out to Him.. trusting.. honestly imploring ..and candid. God totally gets it, he knows what you're feeling and fearing.
The world today is marked by increasing chaos, DUH—with different man-made catastrophes, natural disasters, complex human conflicts, divisions, and societal unrest. I'VE ACTUALLY SEEN CLIPS LATELY OF PEOPLE STARTING FIRES ON SIDEWALKS, IN LIVING ROOMS OF HOUSES THEY DON'T OWN, IN PILES OF TRASH NEAR TENTS GROUPED ON STREETS. I don't think they were doctored clips.
I've got a hard-working high school friend that just lost their home in Malibu. To say this really bugs me would be an understatement.
These events reveal not only the fragility of our systems but also the destructive consequences of humanity’s pride, rebellion, and sin. Yet, amidst the heartbreak and devastation, we are reminded of the brevity of life life here, of our profound need for the One and only Prince of Peace. Hey L.A...hey America.. God the Son—Jesus Christ—is still the ultimate source of order, peace, healing, and recovery.
The Scriptures reveal God’s holy character and His good intentions for humanity. From Genesis, we see the contrast between the order of God’s creation and the chaos introduced by sin. Throughout history, God’s redemptive plan has unfolded, pointing us toward the One who can restore what is broken. While chaos and destruction persist for a time, they will not have the final say. Revelation assures us of a future where sin, death, and all forms of destruction are forever defeated (Revelation 21:4-8).
God invites each of us to respond to His Spirit in this chaos and brokenness by simply repenting and believing in His Son. Through Jesus (the Christ of the Bible), we each can experience regeneration and help others too as well—yes, a transformative relationship where His order and peace reign more and more in our hearts and lives.
His supernatural peace is not fleeting or dependent on fickle feelings or earthly circumstances but it transcends all understanding (Philippians 4:7). It is through Him that we find hope, healing, Restoration and a positive way forward amidst the negative chaos.
Believers who have experienced Christ’s peace firsthand are called to then reflect His love, grace, and even wise justice in a world desperate for these qualities. We are to evaluate wisely as food inspectors.. without casting the final judgment on individuals.. cuz that's not our place.
Modeling God’s peace (for the sake of glorifying God through evangelistic soul winning) is not optional but this is essential for reborn believers. What are your words, attitudes and actions all about?
Living the life by his power is imperative. It is a witness to the rescuing, saving, transformative power of the Gospel and a way to bring light into the darkness. This requires anchoring ourselves in Scripture firmly and prayer, drawing strength from Christ to live as beacons of hope, love and truth.
In these tumultuous, scary.. even perilous times, we must remember Jesus lives. Let's remember God’s love, mercy, kindness, sovereignty, and faithfulness -- he remain unshaken. We can each avoid the wrath that will come. The Bible gives the invite..the clear command to repent and believe for your sake ..really. Please RSVP today. With sincere faith. Like with any decent hotel, you make your reservations in advance. www.KnowGod.org
