Think Right And Verify. Many People Are Delusional These Days, But Soon There Is Coming A Far More Severe Delusion. This Is What People Will Get When Truth Is Rejected.

Too many people wake up believing and acting upon fake news. Man, it would be easy to do since there's so much of it out there.

If you wake up with no mental illness each day, yes, have a properly working brain to pray with, to praise the Lord with, and to reason with, then thank the Lord with amped enthusiasm! What a gift to use for His glory!

We are fast approaching the days the Bible warns about—a time of great deception, a world plunged into real delusion because it has rejected truth. All truth is God's truth and so many people say NO to Him and to truth. The seven-years of Tribulation looms, and as it draws nearer to us, the lies darkening human hearts will only grow stronger. The delusions will become more severe in these last days.

Think about this. Researchers in Texas have recently discovered that one candle out in the darkness can be seen from a distance of 1.6 miles away. Small lights can pierce the darkest of nights. The darker our culture gets around us, the more effective our light can be as we reflect/shine for Christ. Via a close personal relationship with the Lord, God the Father can use you to reflect His light. He can help you and me to see things as they really are, to be praying as realists who reflect His light more brightly. No matter what we do professionally, it’s how we see things as they really are that's important. As we see things that are actually happening around us -- we want to know the facts accurately as much as we can. God knows them.

This is related to how we share His Gospel Message too, and His love that will bring others to a saving faith that will stand as a testimony for all eternity.

"It is better to light a candle than to curse the darkness." ~ Eleanor Roosevelt

Do you merely curse the darkness? Is that all you do? Why? Sadly, we Christians can be more known for what we are against than what we are for? What are you for? Will you talk about it too?

I am for people -- I want what is best for the people I meet. I am against what will destroy me.. or other people. I am for what will really help people.

I am for healthy food, for exercise, for stand-up paddle boarding on the seas and lakes, but more so.. I live for the Lord and am for people of every nation coming to know His forgiveness (with saving faith) as soon as possible.

Regarding a candle to light in a dark place, Eleanor was basically signifying that instead of complaining about a really lame negative situation, it's more productive to think right about it and then take positive action to address the situation, even if the good action steps seem kind of small.. to make a great difference in this world. Some things need to be said for us to start thinking and acting right. We all need to be reminded of good stuff.

In the last days, the Bible makes it plain: God is the one who will send a severe and strong delusion to those who refuse to love the truth.

Paul warns, “They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason, God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie” (2 Thessalonians 2:10-11). This is not a random act of judgment but the natural consequence of the persistent rejection of His direct and delegated authority .. and of His authoritative truth. When people harden their hearts against God, He eventually gives them over to the deception they crave. They'll believe anything that comes down the pike.

Would Your Friends Or Family Members Say You Are Of Sound Mind And Clinging To the Truth, Or Off In Left Field?

God Calls You And Me To Get A Grasp. To Daily Utilize Sound Thinking For His Glory: Loving The Truth And Rejecting All Deception!

The Apostle Paul reminds believers "to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." 2 Timothy 1:6

"For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." (v.7)

What does the Bible teach us? "Then that lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming; that is, the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and signs and false wonders, and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved. For this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false, in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness." (2 Thessalonians 2:11–12)

Truth Rejected, Minds Then Darkened. SAD!
This is nothing new really. Every time a person hears the gospel but refuses to believe this Message, their heart grows harder. Even in churches this happens, some sit under the preaching of God’s Word week after week, yet remain unmoved. The more they resist, the more calloused they become inside. And as we near the end, we are seeing this on a global scale in several nations. The world is slipping further away into confusion, into deceptions—denying the most basic of realities. Are you a man, woman, boy, girl or animal?

A man today insists he was born in the wrong body. A woman claims to be an animal. People demand that their delusions be respected and accepted as fact. Be what you want -- you are a free moral agent, but you will not go off into eternity with me remaining quiet. I will pray and say.

The world calls all of this nonsense progress, but it is proof of a reprobate mind abandoned to deception. This isn’t just psychological or social; it is spiritual blindness at its core. When people refuse the truth, they don’t stay neutral. They become vulnerable to any lie that suits their desires.

Paul described
a reprobate perfectly: “Although they knew God, they neither glorified Him nor gave thanks to Him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools” (Romans 1:21-22). Rejecting truth doesn’t really make one free at all—it makes one foolish.

Reprobate thinking is rejected by God due to a person's persistent sin and rejection of His Bible truth. It is corrupt, morally worthless and the reprobate becomes incapable of godly living and righteousness. The person needs to repent and be born again. Those with a reprobate mind might know of God but they deliberately choose sin, justifying and embracing wickedness. They are then abandoned to their own depravity. True Christians, transformed by Christ, cannot have and maintain a reprobate mind because they are made new and guided by the Holy Spirit who lives within.

The phrase “reprobate mind” is found in Romans 1:28. This is in reference to those whom God has rejected as godless and wicked. They “suppress the truth by their wickedness,” and it is upon these people that the wrath of God rests (Romans 1:18). The Greek word translated “reprobate” in the New Testament is adokimos, which means literally “unapproved, that is, rejected; by implication, worthless (literally or morally).” How did Paul in the Bible describe those two men named Jannes and Jambres? He described them as those who “resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith" (2 Timothy 3:8). Here the reprobation is regarding that typical resistance to the truth.

God Hands Them Over
People can only rebel and resist for so long and then there are consequences. The frightening reality is that God eventually gives people what they push for and want. He won't make you live with Him in heaven for eternity -- he will have none there unhappy to be there.

Those who despise the truth will be handed over to deception. Paul writes, “God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done” (Romans 1:28). They not only practice evil, but they celebrate it, savor it, and encourage others to do the same (Romans 1:32).

Isaiah spoke of this rebellion long ago: “They have chosen their own ways, and their souls delight in their abominations; so I also will choose harsh treatment for them and bring upon them what they dread” (Isaiah 66:3-4). This is the terrifying justice of God: when truth is hated and put aside.. deception is embraced.

God’s Desire vs. Man’s Choice
Yet, God is not cruel. He does not delight in condemning anyone. He has been very patient, “not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9). But He will not force Himself upon those who reject Him. He will show respect to you and your choices. If people insist on wandering, God will let them go (See Jeremiah 14:10). And when they do, deception tightens its icky-creepy grip until they are utterly lost.

There is no more dangerous position than to know the truth and then refuse to obey it. To do so is to invite judgment, to trade light for darkness, and to be left defenseless against the lies of the enemy leading toward God's judgment. Listen, you don't want to know His wrath. The question is not whether God is loving. The question is: Will you choose regardless of your feelings to love Him and the truth?

The time is short. Choose life -- Choose Jesus Christ, please. Walk wisely with a sound mind. How many drinks have you sucked down.. how many shots have you received? Were they all good for you? Not all keep their minds. Many drinkers get dementia.

Do you ever say some (not all) controversial stuff at times that you think might help somebody? I do.

Some of what I'm about to say might offend you. That’s really not my aim. I am standing on what the Scripture clearly says though, and that's where I get these opinions to help people.

On each issue that you and I encounter in this ever-changing culture these days, we need to ask: What does God in the Bible have to say about this?.. cuz I need to think soundly in order to act soundly instead of acting stupidly.

Q: Should a Christian show respect toward all people and have gay friends too? How can you be used of God to win people to Christ if you don't befriend them? He died for them and for you.

Qs: What does the Bible say about the family?.. and about God's family? What is a family really? What isn't a family? What is the smart place of sex?.. I say in a straight marriage. Have you married in the will of God according to God in the Bible.. or according to what you want the Bible to mean? Sound hermeneutics will give you the one real interpretation for wise applications. What about sex before marriage? Nope ..please don't do that. This sin hurts God's heart and has consequences -- every sin is ultimately against God.

The University of Oregon did a study among young men and found that those who engage in premarital sexual relationships do make very poor marital risks for others.

But Kurt, couples today are learned saying: "Of course, we'll just live together for a while sort of like a test drive before you buy the car. You know, and enjoy the benefits -- I mean, friends with benefits?"

Neither of you are cars though. Duh!

Hey that's not a trial marriage. That's basically a trial divorce because careful studies have been done and have revealed that those who live together before marriage have a far higher divorce rate than those who don't live together first. God has set things up the way they are supposed to be set up. There are good guardrails for your safety.

God never said, "Hey Eve, here's Adam and Bill..who is Adam's father for you too. These guys are to be your help mates along with Adam's two brothers, pet dog, and sister Jill. Nope."

Our twisted society says stuff like that, but not God.

"Hey, come on Kurt, why be so verklempt?"

So what does the Bible say about homosexuality Kurt?.. and say in the NT even? Is that ever acceptable when the person comes out of the closet like that? Are people actually born gay? Is it wrong for gay people to marry.. or to raise children?.. what about their parenting? Adoption?

What about abortion? Can there be healing after that? Yes. Is it really that big of a deal, Kurt? Really? And what if the mother's life is in danger.. is abortion always a sin?

I don't mind saying something "controversial" that might make a few people squirm a bit or feel all emotional and negative.. if it will help them. What's in the Bible is not controversial for real believers.

I'm not here to trigger or make people mad, but to be helpful for them. So I'm going to voice what some people might say is very controversial in this day, but listen up.. if God's Bible clearly teaches on it ..as it does on this stuff, something really needs to be said.

I've run into "woke" people who need a spiritual awakening.. who actually think they are cats, or see themselves as dogs, and other animals, and transgender even and they change their pronouns. They walk around on all fours on a leash with a halter. Kurt, do cats and dogs even go to heaven?

In our journey through life, we've encountered several people who claim the name of Christ while openly embracing a perverse and sinful lifestyle that God in His Word clearly rejects. Some people we pray for and really want to see get saved (for their sake) say that they are idolatrous believers (Uhh.. you cannot be that, Barney), or claim to be "gay Christians with gay pastors," or "straight adulterous Christians," or "fornicating Christians." Those people are not real Christians according to God in the Bible.

Kurt, what about sex in general? Well, it can be good in its proper context -- God thought it up. If He created it like He did.. it's good cuz He is good.

Sure, sex can even be blessed by God (and often as you in your marriage both like). Sure, in the proper place.. which is in a marriage man woman relationship. Period. That's it!

The Bible commands, "Give honor to marriage, and remain faithful to one another in marriage. God will surely judge people who are immoral and those who commit adultery. Don’t love money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said, “I will never fail you. I will never abandon you.” So we can say with confidence, “The LORD is my helper, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?” Remember your leaders who taught you the word of God. Think of all the good that has come from their lives, and follow the example of their faith." Hebrews 13:4-7 nlt

Have you been physically abused? Don't let yourself be abused anymore -- God wants you away from that abuse. Are you in a marriage?.. then seek to always remain faithful to God and to one another. Don't be abused if you are abused, get away to some wise godly counsel.

If you are married, then show respect -- pray together and stay together. God will surely judge people who are immoral, manipulative or abusive. Yes, those who fornicate or commit adultery will be judged.

Be sober and think soberly. "For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you." Romans 12:3

"Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God. For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but think of yourself with sober judgment, according to the measure of faith God has given you." Romans 12:2, 3

The Bible says, "Drink water from your own cistern, running water from your own well. Should your springs overflow in the streets, your streams of water in the public squares? Let them be yours alone, never to be shared with strangers. May your fountain be blessed, and may you rejoice in the wife of your youth. A loving doe, a graceful deer—may her breasts satisfy you always, may you ever be intoxicated with her love. Why, my son, be intoxicated with another man’s wife? Why embrace the bosom of a wayward woman? For your ways are in full view of the Lord, and he examines all your paths." Proverbs 5:15-21 niv

Sometimes people will characterize "sex" as only for procreation. And some so-called Christians and church denominators teach this, "It's just there for reproduction" they say, but that's not true.

Indeed, we wouldn't be here without it, but it's also for pleasure in its proper place. Pray together and be blessed. You know that God also gives it to us as a way to express our oneness. Sure, when a husband and wife come together sexually this can really glorify the Lord. A oneness takes place. Sex can most hurt Him when it happens wrong, or it can really glorify Him when you both follow God's plan. Don't opt to live outside His divine order.

"Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a prostitute? Never!" 1 Corinthians 6:15 esv

Please realize, Christians, that your bodies are parts of Christ? He bought you at a price. Should a man take his body, which belongs to Christ, and join it into a prostitute? No, never ever, cuz if you join yourself to a prostitute, you become one with her. How moronic would that be!? Very moronic! So run away from all sexual sin. Protect your eyes, your mind, your ears, and stay pure. Protect others. God will bless you.

Does God really hate sin? Hey Buckeroo, if you and I don't hate sin like God hates it.. if we don't love righteousness like he loves it (I don't mean self-righteousness) then guess what.. there is room for growth.

Yes, so many stubbornly go their own perverse way and actually believe they are right with God as if living like that in a particular sin is somehow good. As if it were possible for people to live in such perverse filth of the world with ongoing rebellion against God's word ..while still walking righteously. Do things His way instead of your way. We are all his creations, but we are not all His children. Be born into His family.

God wants all people to repent and believe in Jesus so that he can forgive and save them, but he will never approve of sin and sinful thoughts..or sinful lifestyles. He never will because He is holy, just, and unchanging.

Scripture is clear: there is no such thing as a Christian who remains unrepentant in their willful sin.

Do you have questions, simply read your Bible. God has answers for you.

Q: What does the Bible have to say about the definition of the family, about homosexuality, about strip clubs, about premarital sex, or extramarital sex ..or with swingers (it's also not smart), about abortion, about capital punishment and things like this in today’s society? Simply read your Bible.

God has a plan for every person.. for every baby, born or not yet born

The Deception of Sin and the Love of the Truth

The Apostle Paul warns of a coming time when people will reject the truth and be deceived by who?.. by the actual Antichrist:

"They perish because they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved." (2 Thessalonians 2:10)

Please be loving the truth—fully embracing it, clinging to it, and allowing it to transform you. Jesus Christ Himself is the Way, Truth and Life -- The Only Way In.

"I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life; no one comes to the Father except through Me." (John 14:6)

Many of those who reject Christ and the gospel do so not out of ignorance but because they love their sin more than they love the truth. "She who loves pleasure is dead while she lives." Jesus declared:

"This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil." (John 3:19)

The Consequence of Rejecting Truth

When people persist in rejecting the gospel, God allows them to be further deceived.. deluded even, giving them over to their own desires. Paul describes this terrifying reality:

"For this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false, in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness." (2 Thessalonians 2:11-12)

This is not without precedent. Pharaoh opted to harden his heart against God, and in response, God firmed up his choice. He further hardened him, sealing his fate (Exodus 8:15, 32; 9:34; 10:1, 20). Likewise, in Isaiah’s day, God pronounced judgment on those who persistently rejected His Word:

"Render the hearts of this people insensitive, their ears dull, and their eyes dim, otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts, and return and be healed." (Isaiah 6:9-10)

There comes a time when those who persistently reject the truth will no longer be able to believe it.. they won't want to. Their love for sin blinds them to the Light.

God The Father's Call For You Is To Christ And Then To True Discipleship With His Church

A true disciple of Christ does not seek to cling to anything more than to Christ. Not hold onto any sin while claiming they are saved. Jesus made it clear:

"He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me; and he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me." (Matthew 10:37)

We are to worship Him alone. To follow Christ is to love Him above all else—to turn away from any and all sin, not to justify it.. NOT ANY. Those who profess faith but refuse to surrender to the Lordship of Christ simply deceive themselves. Jesus Himself warned:

"Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter." (Matthew 7:21)

The Urgency of Repentance

Ditch your delusions. Now is the time to pause.. to examine our minds and hearts. You can come to Jesus as you are right here and now. Come to.. or return to Him! Are we embracing the truth, or are we clinging to deception? Lord, please save and change me. Jesus calls all who are burdened by sin to HONESTLY come to Him in repentance and faith:

"Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28)

The gospel is not merely an invitation; it is really a command to repent and believe. For your own good. Those who continue in unrepentant sin, refusing to submit to Christ, prove that they do not truly belong to Him. But for those who humble themselves, forsaking sin, and turning to Christ in faith, there is full forgiveness, full restoration, and eternal life.

Say no to the illicit drugs and drunkenness. Say no to the lies. There is no need to revise and twist history at all. People have sinned, but we all can be forgiven. Learn what's real. See reality the way God sees it. Think soberly.

Choose life today. Don't put it off. Let us be a people who really love the truth, who abide closely in Christ, and walk in the pure holiness to which He has called us. In heaven one day we will live as holy as He is holy -- fully sanctified. The world is so deceived, the delusion will be far more severe real soon in the Tribulation years ahead. We who belong to Christ must stand firm in Him, boldly proclaiming His truth in love and with urgency pointing all to the only Savior, Jesus Christ, the Living Word of God.
