When a body gets so sick, so weakened that it can no longer purge itself of the poisons within.. there are at first clear warning symptoms, and then it will soon die. And when a society gets so sickly, so weakened that it can no ward off, and no longer purge itself of the poisons within that are troubling that society.. there are at first clear warning symptoms, and then that society will soon no longer exist.
When the law is slacked and judgement doesn't go forth quickly, properly, or at all. It's simply a warning-mark of the declining moral state--the weakness of a nation. #see1Peter1/16

The Lord being my Helper.. and he always is.. I personally will be teaching and exhorting verse by verse through the book of Habakkuk. I aim to put an emphasis on Christ's strong love for you, and a biblical application for U.S. believers in this world today that in many ways closely parallels what we see in this old book.
1. Sharpening the axe before choppin' down that tree so to speak. Takin' a stand to protect. Preparin' well, and doing all you can with all you have.. for all the right reasons. And...
2. Doing it the best you can with excellence regardless of the opposition. Directed and doin' it all with on-fire-convictions, fully believin'! Sure, it's the only way you'll ever have that feelin' of accomplishment and hear those words, Well done!
I want to encourage you in the area of prayer. Habakkuk didn't understand what God was doing with his prayers back in the day, so God just had a talk with him and this brought some rejoicing to his heart.
And some people I know have what they feel is unanswered prayers and they get discouraged. They see ISIS and both sides in DC getting away with a lot. And some experience opposition. You know, after one is attacked ..and sadly many people have been.. a spiritual believer will turn to God knowin' that He is good. They will draw closer, but a carnal or nonbeliever will turn against Him viewing Him as mean.. even though He didn't do the attacking. They will sadly distance themselves from Him.
I’d say ca. 90-somethin'-percent of people that go away from God do so because of what they feel is unanswered prayer. Christians are called to suffer at times and Christian die--they die differently, but do. A “no”, “wait,’ and “yes”--those are still answers and God knows best. His timing is flawless. But there is a lot of false teaching out there on prayer (even inside some so called Christian churches) and it gives many people wrong expectations that lead to disillusionment, disappointments and some get bitter or angry at God. Don't run away from God, run to God with the questions you get.
But Now It Is Time To Wake Up, To Sign Up, And To Look Up. Come to Christ.. and join us this weekend if you can.
