So wanna be with you -- close. I need You even when I don’t feel like I do. What are Your directives for me today?
Desperate people who see their need choose to pray. They cry out to God in prayer. Thank you Lord for Your great love – thanks for what you allow just to get our attention.
“As my life was slipping away, I remembered the LORD. And my earnest prayer went out to you” (NLT Jonah 2:7). “To the roots of the mountains I descended; the earth beneath me barred me in forever! But You raised my life from the pit, O LORD my God! As my life was fading away, I remembered the LORD. My prayer went up to You, to Your holy temple. Those who cling to worthless idols forsake His loving devotion.”
But we are desperately in need of Him everyday. Fact. Your next breath and then exhaling are gifts from Him. It’s been said we’ve each got to descend into hell so to speak before we look up to heaven in believing prayer. Do wanna experience some of His heaven while here on earth..before arriving there.
I remember feeling the shock of 9/11 as buildings with so many lives inside crumbled to the ground before me. Guess what.. the next Sunday the fairly empty churches were full of prayers. That’s how we people are.
I like following You Jesus (help me do that better and better each day and year..) cuz I life You the most. No room for idols today..or tomorrow. My focus in on You.
