Ya might not be able to live happily ever after, but you sure can live happily even after.

“There is so much good in the worst of us, and so much bad in the best of us, that it behooves us all not to talk about the rest of us.” ~ Robert Louis Stevenson

“Why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but fail to notice the beam in your own eye? How can you say, ‘Brother, let me take the speck out of your eye,’ while you yourself fail to see the beam in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the beam out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.” Luke 6:41-42

We ain’t flawless duh!.. am far from perfect. Yep, you and I are still under construction, believer. Let the Lord sanctify. But listen, you can be happy and live in victory today!

1. Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness – know him well and live for Christ. Make Jesus well known with his help. Yes, make up your mind to live happy in a relationship with your Lord. Learn to find pleasure in the simple things that he has for you.
2. We don’t always get the best, but we make the best of. Make the best of your circumstances biblically. No one has everything, and everyone has something of sorrow intermingled with gladness of life. The trick is to make the laughter outweigh the tears. There is hope, love and joy in the Lord.
3. Don’t take yourself too seriously. Have a good pure sense of humor, and laugh at yourself some. Endure the trials, testings and attacks, believer. Don’t think that somehow you should be protected from misfortune or the testings that befall other people.
4. You can’t please everybody, but you can please the Lord daily. Worship him all out and live for him even when others aren’t looking. Don’t let criticism from others worry you. It didn’t him. Jesus showed love towards his enemies as our example.
5. Don’t let your neighbor set your standards. No spiritual compromise or excuses or blame-shifting. Be quick to go tell on yourself and repent–take responsibility for what you did, or said. Be yourself in Jesus.
6. Do the things you enjoy doing but stay out of debt bro. If in it, then get out of debt.
7. When there’s something you don’t understand, just fall back on what you know is true in the word. Then study diligently. Never borrow trouble. Imaginary things are harder to bear than real ones.
8. Since hate poisons the soul, do not cherish jealousy, enmity, or grudges. Avoid people who make you unhappy..pulling you down spiritually. Just limit your time with carnal or nominal Christians and sinners who want to continue on in sin. Spend time with people influencing them towards Christ and what’s right, and ditch when they start pulling you down spiritually. Bad company corrupts good morals.
9. Have many good and healthy interests. If you can’t travel on purpose to share the Message yet, read the word and good books..and read about new places where people are needy for the Gospel.
10. Don’t hold post-mortems. Don’t spend your time brooding over sorrows or mistakes. Don’t be one who never gets over things. Get over it already. Move on walking in Christ’s Spirit of love.
11. Do what you can for those less fortunate than yourself. Serve people, Jesus showed us how to.
12. Keep busy at something the Lord leads you into. A busy person in the will of God never has time to be unhappy or backslide spiritually. Fish4souls.org
