F4S: I have friends who verbally witness often on their job site as they continue to put out really good work. They are a witness and give witness of Christ. Their supervisors are pleased with them, because they are diligent, wise and tactful. It's wonderful. Others talk all the time and yet are poor representatives for their Savior and company. Not great.

I have friends who verbally witness often on their job site as they continue to put out really good work. They are a witness and give witness of Christ. Their supervisors are pleased with them, because they are diligent, wise and tactful. It's wonderful. Others talk all the time and yet are poor representatives for their Savior and company. Be a prayerful no-compromise Christian first. Be a good worker with an upbeat attitude at work -- that's a witness in the marketplace! Be on time and keep your promises.

Several people I've talked to don't work for themselves as the boss or business owner. They work in a job situation where they've actually had to sign a handbook or statement saying that they would not proactively proselytize or initiate sharing their religious beliefs on the property.

You know how real Christians are not religious or into religion -- we can show daily that we care about our coworkers, bosses, middle managers, customers and guests.
Practically caring for people minus spiritual compromise is what "being" a good witness is all about, and clearly, simply verbalizing the Gospel message along with our own story (testimony) have the Holy Spirit leads is "giving" witness of Jesus. We are always to be ready to give an answer to those who ask regarding our living hope. Explaining and giving an answer to a question is not being pushy, overly aggressive, or rude in regards to witnessing.
I say be punctual instead of tardy, be available instead of missing an action. I say have a good work ethic, clean conversation and jokes, and a good attitude gaining expertise in meeting people's needs. I say be studied up, and prayed up, totally ready to an answer to people's questions.. sincerely with gentleness and respect. That's how to be a good witness in your work. Do your best to become the best employee your boss has ever had. We are ladies and gentlemen serving ladies and gentlemen, or boys and girls serving boys and girls and we can do that with excellence!
The Bible says, "But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear.." 1 Peter 3:15 www.fish4souls.org
