Much has been said (both true and false) about "kindness" from so many people of different cultures, but what does God have to say about kindness and the importance of living kind in His kind Son (you know how the Bible is authoritative, but my opinions and yours might be worth a dime or so.. because they are not)? I never mind crowdsourcing to listen to sincere people today, but I indeed want to listen to the Word far more.. and wisely take heed. Love is not God, but God is love and He's always been kind who says...
"Love is patient, love is kind.." See 1 Corinthians 13:3-8 contextually
What did Jesus mean when He said, “He who has ears to hear”?
What does it mean to be doers of the Word in James 1:22?
How can Jesus and the Bible both be the Word of God?
What is the key to hearing God’s voice?
In the New Testiment the Greek word for “kindness” is chrēstotēs. It means “benignity, tender concern, uprightness.”
But what does the God who never changes say about kindness in the Old, like in the book of Proverbs? God says..
"Do not let mercy and kindness and truth leave you; instead let these qualities define you.." Proverbs 3:3
"Never let loyalty and kindness leave you! Tie them around your neck as a reminder. Write them deep within your heart." nlt
"Whoever oppresses a poor man insults his Maker, but he who is generous to the needy honors him." Proverbs 14:31 esv
"Why be oppressing or insulting anyone when God is the One who made them? 'To help the poor is to honor God.'" 14:31 tlb
"Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will repay him for his deed." Proverbs 19:17 esv
"Mercy to the needy is a loan to God, and God pays back those loans in full." 19:17 msg
“What is desired in a man is kindness, and a poor man is better than a liar.” Proverbs 19:22 nkjv (He says a lot more on this too. BTW Chesed (in Hebrew: חֶסֶד) is the word meaning “kindness” between people, specifically of the loving devotional relationship believers have towards God as well as of the love and mercy of the Father, Son (Jesus) and the Holy Spirit towards humanity.
What does it mean to be kind to one another (Ephesians 4:32)?
How can I be sure and not go to hell? It'd be kind to tell me in advance?
Do you have more questions about Heaven, Hell, and Eternity?
So who will actually go to hell when the place was originally created for fallen rebellious angels?
Do gay and Tranny people go to heaven? Does God want them as well as you to turn and trust in His only provision for sin today? Yes. We've all sinned and need Christ's forgiveness.
Does God send people to hell, or do they send themselves by rejecting His good Solution (Jesus)?
What is the worm that will not die in Mark 9:48?
Does God love the people who are in hell?
What is the gospel of inclusion? .. How could this kind Father God send someone to hell?
What does hell look like? How hot is hell?
How is a whole eternity in hell a just punishment for only a human lifetime of sin?
Why is the idea of eternal damnation for some so "unkind and repulsive" to many people today?
Will heaven eventually be on earth? Yes.
How many prophecies did Jesus kindly fulfill?
What does it even mean that love is kind (1 Corinthians 13:4)?
How can God be kind when He allows stubborn people to go to Hell? Is it kind to honor or override people's free will? Is it kind to force people to go where they don't want to go or ever be? God will kindly honor your choices as well as mine.
