Jesus "works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure" believer. He really loves His church! "For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him". Remember when Christ told Peter, "I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it." Matthew 16:18 esv

The devil does not fear any big or little church per se.. if the leadership and the people in it are proud and prayerless. He doesn't fear any believer who is proud, prayerless and doesn't resist him either. 

Liney and I have been in some small healthy, and small unhealthy.. in some BIG healthy churches (where they really care adhering to the Bible Christ, to the essentials and to Scripture). We've also been in some BIG unhealthy local churches (who go against the Essentials and could give a flip about people but love dead religion or money more).

"'..God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.' Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded." James 4:6b-8

How can I distinguish a healthy local church from an unhealthy one? What are the signs of a truly healthy church?

How can I overcome pride? Does God have something to say about this? Yes. 

BTW The rainbow is God's. He is holy and wants us all to walk humbly with His Son Jesus. 

What is the pride of life? In a good sense, I feel proud of all the many good things my country (Americans) has done for people in other Lands, but I don't want to live arrogantly like I am better than others because I am an American (our Land needs Christian missionaries right now). Is it wrong to have pride in the good things that you have accomplished? Believer, do we give the glory to God? 

What happens to those who walk in pride (Daniel 4:37)?

What does God say about hubris?

What does it mean that pride goes before a fall (Proverbs 16:18)?

Is there supposed to be only one church?

Is it biblically allowable by God for a pastor to be gay? God in the Bible clearly teaches that this is not biblical.

God loves all of us, sinners. Okay, so I want to know how gay people can go to heaven instead of to HE-double-hockey-sticks where we want no one going! Yeah, it's the same way for all of us sinners.. through real repentance and faith in Christ. Does being gay have anything to do with determining one’s eternal destiny?
