F4S: I almost got dropped by my Insurance company because I wanted to submit a claim for some damage caused by nature (a hail storm). it took me three months of proof and no claim or repairs to have them keep me.

I almost got dropped by my Insurance company because I wanted to submit a claim for some damage caused by nature (a hail storm). it took me three months of proof and no claim or repairs to have them keep me.

I came up with a new strategy, but Pastor Max literally got dropped by his Insurance Company. (I always enjoy his candor).

Yeah, he says he'd been speeding some.

Max felt bad that he wasn't good enough anymore for his insurance company.

He thought about it and reflected on others, "Many people fear receiving such a letter [from God]," Max Lucado said. "Some worry they already have."

Max then imagines this correspondence, straight from the Pearly Gates Underwriting Division:

Dear Mrs. Smith,
I'm writing in response to this morning's request for forgiveness. I'm sorry to inform you that you have reached your quota of sins. Our records show that, since employing our services, you have erred seven times in the area of greed, and your prayer life is substandard when compared to others of like age and circumstance.
Further review reveals that your understanding of doctrine is in the lower 20 percentile and you have excessive tendencies to gossip. Because of your sins you are a high-risk candidate for heaven. You understand that grace has its limits. Jesus sends his regrets and kindest regards and hopes that you will find some other form of coverage.

This is how it goes for a slave, who constantly lives in fear not knowing enough, not doing enough, not ever measuring up. So glad that God doesn't drop us, or stop forgiving us when we speed or do some other sin. Do you need to forgive God, or another person, or simply need to be forgiven? Let's see this relationship fixed. Admit it and quit it.. yep, that pet or other sin. Here and now is good. He can help you learn to hate what destroys people. Godlife.com/gospel
