If you aim for zip you'll normally hit it. Aim high, not low -- not at nothing. I encourage you to thank, to praise, and to worship the Lord acceptably. Not to get.. or get Him to act, but to bless Him. That's priority number one for us. It's still beneficial.

How have you been thinking lately?

Whatcha been watching and listening to. Who are your closest friends and what have they been influenced by?

Many say that those who are heavenly-minded are of no earthly good, but I find that those real Christians who are most heavenly-minded, they are of most early good. So I dare ya if I may to.. think and pray about the things of heaven, and not the things of this world. Think and pray about how God wants to use you to get people up there. He can communicate with you in His word and use you.

The Bible says, "Set your mind and keep focused habitually on the things above [the heavenly things], not on things that are on the earth [which have only temporal value]. 3 For you died [to this world], and your [new, real] life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, who is our life, [a]appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory." Colossians 3:2-4 amp

Have you been aiming higher?

Aim higher Buckeroo, move slower around people, especially among friends, enjoying every step of the the way. It is all those little steps of obedience (that blind obedience) that make the journey complete.

In relationship building.. fast is slow and slow is fast. If I go to fast around people the trust and relationship might get built slowly at best. I'm not really a person who was born liking slow, or being patient anywhere. The Lord has to help me because He loves all people.

Do not aim so low, Sport. Be a sharp-shooter instead of a shotgunner so to speak. A person has to learn to aim a little higher to hit the intended target, because of the way the projectile projects. Pray and trust the Lord. Aim high, because there is something way-better. The Bible says, “Without a vision, the people perish.” (Proverbs 29:18.) People without hope or confidence in the Lord are often miserable.

God, I ask for a great awakening--open the floodgates of Heaven. We want torrents and raging rivers of living water flowing here. Let it rain. Please, use me to win someone to Jesus today. God, I want to win more than one today really; help me live as Your witness for dozens, or maybe hundreds, or far more. Praise you Lord--it's all about you and not me. Whatever you want to do. I'll be happy ministering to even one.

“Study to shew thyself approved unto God.” 11 Timothy 2:15

"The devil is not fighting religion (cuz unlike Jesus he is religious). He's too smart for that. He is (busy) producing a counterfeit Christianity, so much like the real one that good Christians are afraid to speak out against it." ~ Vance Havner

Inner motives matter. What are some of the things that motivate you in this life? What do you think about and talk about the most? What, day by day, are some of the things that motivate you to do what you have been doing? What are some of the things that motivate you to be a spiritual Christian instead of a carnal or worldly saint? There are many Christians who are not yet motivated. There are mugwups too, with their mug hanging on one side of the fence and their wump on the other. Many people sadly are not motivated, inspired or equipped to do anything to glorify Jesus today. They just want to sit there and do nothing or fill their minds with the world's rubbish. A born again Christian who is spiritual (see Romans 8:6-8) will be a very motivated individual. If we are not motivated, someone (like me) needs to encourage us to become prayerfully motivated in the Bible, and in fellowship.

The Bible says, "For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God."

Let not your old sinful nature control your mind, your motives, your words, or your actions, believer. Why? It's because that sinful nature is still hostile to God (and always will be until the time of the Rapture). You have a new nature now, so allow the Holy Spirit control all of you daily.. step by step as you follow the living Word (Jesus).

If a well-church is working effectively, the devil and his gang will be present to try and disrupt it. Where there is unity, he will seek to cause disunity. He will use whatever means he can to upset the members or turn them on each other. He will use even little things if he can, little differences of opinion that, I say, do not amount to a hill of beans. He will lie and seek to work among those of whom he is most afraid, those who have determined to follow close in rightly representing Jesus Christ, not just in word but in good deeds.

"Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God." Hebrews 12:2 kjv

To honestly be what we are and become what and who we are called to be, is the only end we believers really want. He who makes us capable of becoming more real and of finishing the race.. remains the primary focus.
It's been said, we all worship someone or something and many simply worship themselves. I say.. let's opt to worship and follow the only One worthy of our worship, Jesus Christ.

We choose and keep on choosing huh. I recommend Jesus. Come closer to Christ and His Church and bring a friend. Facebook.com/shareJesus

We praise and worship God to give and bless Him, but it's still beneficial.

We've been studying this in Exodus lately.

"And we all, with unveiled face, continually seeing as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are progressively being transformed into His image from one degree of glory to even more glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit." 2 Cor. 3:18 amp
Acceptable Worship -- We are Changed In This Discipline Of Joy. Let's keep it biblical and from the heart. It's about maintaining our primary focus and not getting distracted away from the Lord in a distracting kind of world.
It's not about me or us, it's not about what we feel (we don't always feel like praising the Lord so we offer the sacrifice of praise and worship to Him). It's all about Him to whom worship is due. Yes, its about giving to the Lord -- your first love, yes starting with giving yourself away is a living sacrifice, but there are benefits in worship.
Vertical worship can also be an edifying blessing and mystery to those onlookers horizontally.
You remember the Westminster Shorter Catechism of Faith states, "Man's chief end is to glorify God and to enjoy Him forever." To glorify God-that's worship! To enjoy Him forever-that's the all-encompassing reward that includes these specific benefits:
Forgiveness. True worshipers recognize God's holiness and accept His forgiveness (Romans 5:1; 1 John 1:9). A forgiven people are to be a forgiving people and through biblical worship with Christ's body they are purified. We gaze upon Jesus and He pours in His love even for the lost and those who have done us wrong. He transforms us.
Guidance step by step from the Lord. He's our Chief Shepherd who guides us daily. Those who honor God will be given wisdom and will His guidance day by day (Psalm 25:4-12; Proverbs 1:7; 3:5-6).
Provision, our daily bread (kind of like the Israelites recieved daily in their desert wanderings for 40 years). Jesus said that God will meet our material needs if we give Him first place in our lives (Matthew 6:33; see also Psalm 23; 37:3-6). God meets all our needs not our greeds.
Love, God's agape in and through us to others. The love of God is experienced in the hearts of all those who are true worshipers (Psalm 63:3; John 14:21, 23; Romans 5:5).
Power to live the life -- to be and give a good witness to this watching world. To all who give God the glory He deserves, He gives the enablement to do the things He requires of them (2 Corinthians 12:7-10; Ephesians 3:14-21; Philippians 4:13).
Protection. He faithfully watches over all who acknowledge Him, and He keeps them in all of life's changing circumstances (Psalm 5:11-12; 1 Peter 1:5).
Glory -- we give all the glory to God, but you will be glorified. All true worshipers will one day be glorified. They'll inherit a new heaven and a new earth and join a company of believers and angels in perfect, uninterrupted worship (2 Peter 3:13; 1 John 3:2; Revelation 19:1-10).
Our word worship comes from the old English word “worth ship” -- the state of worth of an object or being. This remains our top priority ministry.
