F4S: God will be close to you during times of darkness -- pray without ceasing. His ways are higher than our ways and his thoughts higher than our thoughts.

God will be close to you during times of darkness -- pray without ceasing. His ways are higher than our ways and his thoughts higher than our thoughts.

I love Isaiah 45 where God promised the Israelites full release from their bondage to Babylon. Yes, deliverance for his wayward people through a Persian king named Cyrus. Today we in the USA have a leader that some say was like Cyrus. Anyways, God said to Cyrus...

“I will give you the treasures of darkness, riches hidden in secret places, so that you may know that I am the Lord, the God of Israel, who summons you by name” (See all the context of Isaiah 45:3)

This is a good promise for us today.

Your adult kids have great value, are they living as children of Darkness today? Got some other loved ones who’ve taken a stride from the Master’s side? Don’t stop praying for em. God still cares about you and them too. Sometimes God intervenes in ways that we have begged for and other times, he does not. People need to be willing to turn and trust him, to repent and follow Jesus. God makes no one go to heaven who doesn’t want to be there.

During Cyrus’ conquest, Cyrus literally found treasures that the Jews had buried as they were taken into captivity. Like King Cyrus, who found treasures hidden in the darkness. You too, can find different types of treasures—hope in the unexpected places of darkness, those painful places of suffering where you would very much like not to be. God has his reasons for giving you these treasures.

He does this so you would know that he has the power to intervene in your darkness.

“Great is our Lord and mighty in power; his understanding has no limit..” Psalm 147:5

Remember the open rebellion, the racism and the violence of the 60's?

The Jesus Movement of the 60’s and 70’s came along during a time of chaos, hatred, strife, protests, war and unrest. I lived in Dana Point and saw it unfold at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa -- yeah, I also got swept on in because my friends and family were praying for me. And they shared the Gospel with me too. So glad they did.

Well, the lives of some 100,000’s of teens and young adults were changed from the inside out.

Right now our nation is pretty much back there..I mean with all the chaos and destruction once again. It's a time for prayer -- to the Father in the name of Jesus his Son.

Many healthy Christian churches have had to be meeting on the beaches lately to worship, to pray, to fellowship and to witness of God's love in Christ -- just like we did back in the day. Do you pray? If you'd like to.. start with something like this. God, forgive me a sinner. Thanks for Jesus dying on the Cross and who is now alive again. I want to know him, you and the Holy Spirit so as to become a part of the Solution in this world (yes, in love far more a part with you).. instead of part of the problem

Today, you and I hear lots of calls to go vote (that way good), but we don't hear not so many calls to cry out to the Lord for another biblical Awakening and Authentic Revival.

Listen, you know that politics is not the ultimate solution for our Land, but Christ is. Let's pray in his powerful name. Need a prayer-guide of sorts?
