There is a Cause of love that's far greater than all causes ..past, present or in the future.

It's because the One behind it is greater than all.  His plan and all is far greater.  Yep, He loves you and those around you in a way that's greater!  Who be ..He?

"God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him." 1 John 4:16

You know of thee Cause of causes -- the Great Commission via His Great Commandments right?  Sure you do.  It's about bringing closure on the Great Commission -- that's the horizontal priority, and acceptable worship is the very top priority (your highest calling).  It all starts with acceptable prayer, praise and worship!

"In Him we were also chosen as God’s own, having been predestined according to the plan of Him who works out everything by the counsel of His will, in order that we, who were the first to hope in Christ, would be for the praise of His glory." Ephesians 1:12-13

"But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.." 1 Peter 2:9 #emph.mine

Are God's Top Ten repeated in the New Testament?  Yes.

Nine of the Ten Commandments found in Exodus 20:1–17 are repeated in the New Testament numerous times in different ways. For example, in giving a summary of our moral responsibilities to one another, Jesus repeats four of the Ten Commandments to the young ruler in Mark 10:17–19. The only commandment not repeated in the New Testament is the fourth one, the one about Sabbath-keeping.

“You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets” (Matthew 22:37–40).

Paul references the Decalogue a number of times in his letters.  Sometimes, he is explicit in reciting some of the commandments, as he does in Romans 13:9. Other times, he references them implicitly, like in 1 Timothy 1:8–10.

So among God's Top Ten, which are the greatest commandments in the Law?

"Jesus replied: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” Matthew 22:36-40

Regarding love and what's applicable for us Christians here.. talkin' about what I so like about real charity:

Love doesn't try to (via actions, talents, attitude, words etc.) draw attention to self.. cuz HELLO that’d be selfish right.. but a person motivated by real love would much rather point to unselfish sinless Jesus and towards His Message of love.  Let your life, attitudes and words point to Him.  Let's brag on Him!

Exalt / Magnify Christ > Self-Promotion

The Good News > My Words / Opinions

How can I always be a good witness for Christ?  How can I live as a good example and motivated for soul winning?

Does my old fleshly nature ever tell me to promote myself?  Yes. Has my flesh ever opposed me in trying to do what's totally unproductive? No.

 What is the flesh?

What does it mean to be spiritual?

What does it mean to crucify the flesh (Galatians 5:24)?

What does the Bible say about worship?

How can I know if the desires of my heart are from God?

What is the key to victory when struggling with sin?

“He must increase, but I must decrease” (John 3:30). ~ John the Baptizer

What is true worship? In Christ this is our top priority and only vertical ministry -- it's unto God from the heart.

On the horizontal what should be the mission of the church?

 Why should we worship God?

“Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 2:5)

What are the ingredients to a truly biblical worship service?

What is the meaning of Christian worship?

What is the difference between praise and worship?

How can I know how to properly worship God?

Should an unbeliever be allowed to participate in a church worship team?

"Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up;  does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth.." I Corinthians 13:4-6 NKJV

“..Love is not jealous or boastful or proud 5 or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable..” nlt

“..Love is very patient and kind, never jealous or envious, never boastful or proud, never haughty or selfish or rude. Love does not demand..” tlb

“Love is kind and thoughtful, and is not jealous or envious; love does not brag and is not proud or arrogant. 5 It is not rude; it is not self-seeking, it is not provoked [nor overly sensitive and easily angered..” amp

“Love.. is not jealous or conceited or proud; love is not ill-mannered or selfish or irritable; love does not keep a record of wrongs; love is not happy with evil, but is happy with the truth. gnt

“Love.. does not brag, and it is not proud. Love is not rude, is not selfish, and does not get upset with others. Love does not count up wrongs that have been done.” ncv

“If I give everything I own to the poor and even go to the stake to be burned as a martyr, but I don’t love, I’ve gotten nowhere. So, no matter what I say, what I believe, and what I do, I’m bankrupt without love.

Love never gives up.
Love cares more for others than for self.
Love doesn’t want what it doesn’t have.
Love doesn’t strut,
Doesn’t have a swelled head,
Doesn’t force itself on others,
Isn’t always “me first,”
Doesn’t fly off the handle,
Doesn’t keep score of the sins of others,
Doesn’t revel when others grovel,
Takes pleasure in the flowering of truth,
Puts up with anything,
Trusts God always,
Always looks for the best,
Never looks back,
But keeps going to the end.” msg
