If it could talk, what would your Bible say about you?

I like what James McDonald tells us to do. Go grab your Bible...
Why grab hold? Cuz the Word of God is so compelling!

The Word will capture your mind, your imagination, and your heart. It's God-breathed and infallible. I even believe the maps inside--that's the attitude we should have. The Word heals marriages, heals bodies, restores families, and even sets the worst criminals free.. if they allow this. Man, you can trust this love letter, this fishing-manual of sorts. The Bible was written ..not to you, but for you and it has both internal and external evidence. God see and ask what did the Lord mean to the people in that culture back in the day? What is the transferable truth that I can apply in my life here today?

"So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ." Romans 10:17
"And take THE HELMET OF SALVATION, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God." Ephesians 6:17
"And when they had prayed, the place where they had gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak the word of God with boldness." Acts 4:31
"For this reason we also constantly thank God that when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men, but for what it really is, the word of God, which also performs its work in you who believe." 1 Thessalonians 2:13

The Message of the Bible is: There's abundant and eternal life in Christ because of the Cross. He's for you, and He's alive to make sure of this! Jesus the living Word--He is the truth of God that frees people. He's the hero of the Bible, which is the written Word. The Word is practical, personal.. "Living and active.." It can straighten us out and up. Prayerfully read through 2 Timothy 3!
