Guard your thought life. Guard your heart and human spirit. Guard your home, community and future!

What's Down in the Well, Comes up in the Bucket.

Don't allow any poison or filthy-pollution down in there.

“Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy. Instead, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the desires of the flesh.” Romans 13:13-14

What’s really in your human spirit today? What have you allowed in?

It’s a daily choice. Why go with a newer kind of slavery that really ain’t new? Opt to put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires.

Get completely clean, not by your power. Christ will forgive and clean up. The Fisherman catches His fish so to speak and then He cleans them. Tell Him you are willing to cooperate. Meditate upon the word of God daily.

“Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the flesh.” Romans 13:14

Four times God in the Bible tells you to put on your Adidas so to speak and RUN -- yeah, to get out.  Ditch, bail, split.  Run when ya need to run from sin.  Sprint from...

1. Idolatry 1 Cor. 10:14

2. Youthful lusts 2 Tim. 2:22

3. Materialism 1 Tim. 6:17

4. Sexual immorality. 1 Cor. 6:18-29

Guess what.. two of these four have to do with sexual impropriety. So why does God in the Bible tell you to run from these four? Well, because God knows with these four you'll never win the ultimate war. You need to fight and win by His power.

The devil is a religious pervert -- why even a little bit become like him or his gang? Better idea: submit to God's authority and resist the devil.

Why feed on trash? I wanted to challenge you today. Why eat out of a garbage can? So many perv-felons have a constant diet on the filth. We've seen it so many times on the Next 48, on Cops, on Body Cam etc. You've seen it too. They meditate upon the worst images, filthy words and ideas. You don't have to let the devil set a dirty grove or rut in your mind. Let God rewire your mind and heart to be like His.. all the synapses in your brain and heart.

"My son, give attention to my words;
Incline your ear to my sayings.
Do not let them depart from your eyes;
Keep them in the midst of your heart;
For they are life to those who find them,
And health to all their flesh.
Keep your heart with all diligence,
For out of it spring the issues of life.
Put away from you a deceitful mouth,
And put perverse lips far from you.
Let your eyes look straight ahead,
And your eyelids look right before you.
Ponder the path of your feet,
And let all your ways be established.
Do not turn to the right or the left;
Remove your foot from evil." Proverbs 4:20-27 nkjv

Listen friend, you don't have to be hungry, you can feast on the bread of life today!

When I get up in the morning I like to put on the full armor of God. Yep, I put on Christ by faith. I want the mind of Christ. I want Him to always go where I go and so I put on Jesus Christ as Lord and He will indeed go where I go because I opt to let Him lead me. Will you choose to trust Him follow his lead?.

You’re not what you think you are, but as you think.. you are.

Prayerfully guard your heart with all diligence, Sport.

“When I got up this morning I put on my clothes. I put on my clothes with the intention that they would be part of me all this day, that they would go where I go and do what I do. They will cover me and make me presentable to others. That is the purpose of clothes. In the same way, the apostle is saying to us, Put on Jesus Christ when you get up in the morning. Make him a part of your life that/each day. Intend that he go with you everywhere you go, and that he act through you in everything you do. Call upon his resources. Live your life in Christ.

These words have forever been made famous by their connection with the conversion of Saint Augustine. Augustine was a young man in the fourth century who lived a wild, carousing life, running around with evil companions, doing everything they were doing. He forbade himself nothing, went into anything and everything. And, as people still do today, he came to hate himself for it. One day he was with his friend in a garden, and he walked up and down, bemoaning his inability to change. O, tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow! How can I free myself from these terrible urges within me that drive me to the things that hurt me! And in his despair, as he walked in the garden, he suddenly heard what he thought was the voice of a child — perhaps some children were playing in the garden next door — and the voice said, Take and read, take and read. He could not remember any children's games with words like that, but the words stuck. He went back to the table and found lying on it a copy of Paul's letter to the Romans. He flipped it open, and these were the words he read..”

“Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in orgies, and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy. Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ..” Romans 13:13-14a

“Augustine said that at that moment he opened his life to Christ. He had known about him, but had never surrendered to him. But that moment he did, and he felt the healing touch from Christ cleansing his life. He was never the same man again. He went on to become one of the greatest Christians of all time. That is what Jesus Christ is capable of doing. He gives us all the power to love. If we but choose to exercise this power in the moment that needs it, we can release in this world this radical, radical force that has the power to change everything around us. It will change our homes, our lives, our communities, our nations, the world — because a risen Lord is available to us, to live through us. I love J.B. Philips' translation of this last verse: Let us be Christ's men from head to foot, and give no chance to the flesh to have its fling. (See Romans 13:14). That is the way to live.” ~ Ray Stedman

Thank you, Father God, for the freedom and the power from Your Holy Spirit to live in victory.  Thanks for the cleansing power of the blood of the cross. Thanks that you have given to me.. (to believers of every nation) the unction to wisely function, so I can clothe myself with Christ and not gratify the desires of my fleshly nature.  Help each of us to grow strong, mature, and to help each other to grow wise in the Lord too walking victoriously.  Lord, help us to witness boldly, effectively  wisely too so that others can be blessed and make an impact with the Gospel as well.. for Your glory.  Jesus, we love You!  Amen!

Friend, why let your mind get dirty, or get in a weird rut or grove of your mind? Why let it get twisted, off and wrongly? Let God the Father and His word rewire your twisted mind. You don’t want to end up becoming a dirty old man, or some dirty old cougar!

Hey, let’s all wisely apply God’s word today. Have we grasped the inestimable privilege of actually choosing to be clothed with the Life and Love of the Lord Jesus Christ? Is this becoming a habit of my heart, of my praying, of my behavior, of conversation and of my mind ..all day long?

Remember when Joseph ran away.. leaving his coat in that cougar’s hands! Smart move huh! You can do that and the Holy Spirit will help you run fast.

Know what God has to say about purity of mind, of eyes, of your ears like from your phone and your computers.

Wake up fully, choose to be on-fire for Jesus. Watch vigilantly, war valiantly, walk virtuously, wait victoriously (see verse 14). Put on the Lord Jesus Christ and make no provision for the flesh to fulfill its selfish lusts.

Flee youthful lusts, from materialism, foul conversations, and from sexual immorality.

Out of the fullness of the heart the mouth speaks. If an individual has a so called idol, they will love to talk about it. A lot. What do you talk about most?

Take charge over your thought life, what you allow into your imaginations, into your eyes, into your ears, and conversation. The word of God can help you.

What’s most on the heart will be on the lips.

As a man thinketh in his heart so is He. Know the Lord and choose to think His thoughts today (they are in his word and Spirit).

What's most in the heart and in the spirit will be most on the lips. No time for being half hearted. God does business with those who mean business.

"Finally, believers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable and worthy of respect, whatever is right and confirmed by God’s word, whatever is pure and wholesome, whatever is lovely and brings peace, whatever is admirable and of good repute; if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think continually on these things [center your mind on them, and implant them in your heart]." Philippians 4:8 amp

That person ain’t a mere object to be selfishly used. Sex isn’t to be selfishly divorced from real love or from God’s will.  He invented good sex for a one man and one woman kinda marriage in His will.  Live pure by the Spirit who is pure.  He who would not fall down does not walk in slippery places. Duh. Yes, you can get all the way clean, and be determined, and be fortified by the word of God!

“With my whole heart I have sought You; Oh, let me not wander from Your commandments! Your word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You. Blessed are You, O LORD! Teach me Your statutes. With my lips I have declared All the judgments of Your mouth. I have rejoiced in the way of Your testimonies, As much as in all riches. I will meditate on Your precepts, And contemplate Your ways. I will delight myself in Your statutes; I will not forget Your word.”  Psalms 119:10-16

Do you long to be perfectly clean? Then Let God make you absolutely totally.. perfectly clean. You can walk clean and stay clean. You can’t have segmented victory, you need total victory in Christ. Does man think two thoughts at a time? Nope, one ..so think a good thought. Stay focused on the living word. Think what He thinks and do what He says. Fish4souls.org
